~prologue~

"Tori! Baby come talk to me." Jade said softly walking into the BlackBox. "I heard what happened, Cat told me. I want you to know that you still have me."

Tori came out from the back her face soaked with tears. "It hurts so much," Tori said through her sobs.

Jade ran up to her girlfriend and pulled her into a hug holding her. who started crying all over again. "It'll be okay baby, I promise."

End Prologue

"What was it that made you realize your feeling for me?" Tori asked Jade with her head in Jade's lap, sitting on the couch in Tori's house.

There was a long pause before Jade answered, not really knowing the answer "It wasn't just one moment, I guess you could say that it's just the constance of you being there." Jade said playing in Tori's hair. "Why do you ask?"

"I was just wondering, because after everything you put me through I just wanted to make sure that this was for real before I told you-"

~Beep Beep~

Like that Tori was pulled out of dreamland by her alarm going off. Tori jumped out of bed and looked out her window thinking about her girlfriend. "God I miss you so much, it just isn't fair." The youngest Vega child thought to herself before hearing mom's voice calling her for breakfast.

Tori got dressed and headed downstairs for breakfast.

Once done with breakfast Tori did her hair and brushed her teeth, and left for school. Tori pulled into the parking lot, parking next to Andre, who waiting for her. "Hey Chika." Andre greeted when Tori stepped out of her car.

"You've been crying haven't you?" Andre asked after seeing her eyes were swollen. Andre grabbed Tori by the shoulder and spun her around, looking at her dead in the eyes. "I'm going to act like I know what you're going through because I don't but I do know that it feels like forever, she wouldn't want you to be sulking like this. It isn't healthy."

"I know, but it doesn't change the fact that she isn't here," Tori answered back before heading into the school, where Cat and Robbie were cuddling on the steps.

When Cat noticed Tori walk in she pulled away from Robbie and went over to Tori who went right to her locker, "Hey Tori, I was kinda hoping that tonight we could do one of our sleepovers."

"Without Jade, what's the point?" Tori replied back with sadness in her voice.

"The point is to find a new normal, to start healing." Cat said compassionately. "just please think about it Tori, I miss you." Cat finished before returning to Robbie and heading to class.

"She's hurting." Cat stated to Robbie before walking to class.

During lunch, Tori went to the room in the black box where Cat was found to be living that soon turned into her Jade special room. She laid on the bed that was left in there, looking up at the ceiling Tori started crying all over again, thinking back to the memories she shared with Jade in the room.

"I'm sorry I wasn't there to say goodbye," Tori exclaimed through her tears.

Little did Tori know Jade was there listening to her every word. "I'm sorry, I promised you that I would always be here or there for you, I haven't worked out the details yet," Jade said laying next to Tori.

"I know you must hate me, I hate myself. Cat said you were waiting for me, that you waited as long as you could." Tori said softly. "But you just couldn't hold on anymore."

"I tried baby, I tried, I really did," Jade said with a tear rolling down her cheek. "I didn't even know I could cry."

"How am I supposed to do this without you?" Tori asked sitting up on the bed.

"Babe I wish I knew because I would tell you, I hate to see you like this, you're in so much pain, it makes me sick seeing you like that," Jade replied.

"When I got the news about the accident, my dad was getting the award for most cases closed in a year. and I remember sitting there at that small table: me, Trina, and Holly." Tori stopped to take a breath. "My phone lit up and I looked down. and my heart just dropped I didn't know how to process that message. I got up and went outside and called Andre. he confirmed the news about the accident, but at that time you were still in critical condition."

"I was fighting to get back to you." Jade retorted.

"I just wish I could've been there with you," Tori stated before getting up and heading out of the room.

"Babe, I'm glad you weren't because you wouldn't have been able to handle that, but before you go, do me a favor go to Cat's tonight, take a shot of Cat's brother bourbon for me," Jade said before watching Tori leave. "I love you."

The rest of school went by in a blur and before Tori knew it she was back at home. sitting in the kitchen when Holly walked in through the garage. "Oh, hi honey how was school?"

"it was school, nothing really interesting happened" Tori answered sorrowfully, before getting up and heading to her room.

As Tori was heading up the steps Trina came in the front, she and Holly started talking about a boy from school. Once Tori was in her room, she decide to grab a shower and start to relax. while in the shower Tori turned the water all the way to hot, almost scolding. she did this from time to time to feel close to Jade.

When Tori got out of the shower, she saw a message from Cat asking if decided. Tori got dressed and packed a bag, grabbing all her belongings that she'll need and going downstairs.

Holly was still in the kitchen, this time on the phone. "I'm leaving for the weekend," Tori said, coming down the steps and walking to the door.

Holly cut her conversation short. "Where are you going, Jade isn't going to be there is she?" Holly asked in a disdainful tone.

That made Tori snap at the woman who she use to call mom. "Dammit, Jades dead, she's fucking dead, you know that you took me to her funeral!" Tori shouted at Holly. "You're a bitch. just because you didn't approve of our relationship. It's like you enjoy making a mockery out of my pain" Tori finished before storming out and getting in her car.
