Authors Note: I apologize for the late update, I already had ideas for chapters 5 & 6 but I couldn't think of anything that would make for a good transition from 4 to 5 to 6 so I decided to have Trina have sympathy for Tori since I wasn't going to use Trina in any major way
Tori was sitting in Cat's guest room, her mind racing with the events of the past forty-eight hours, the day after Holly had the locks changed, she had Tori's car towed from Cat's house. Now Tori was stranded at Cat's house with no clothes for the rest of the week or ever for that matter.
"Tori, someone is here for you," Cat yelled from downstairs
Tori was slow to come to the door, dreading to see who was there when she did come downstairs Tori was surprised to see her sister standing in Cat's living room.
"What are you doing here?" Tori said coldly.
"I want to talk to you, and I have something for you," Trina said back softly before grabbing a suitcase that was on the outside of the door.
Tori was surprised to see her suitcase in Trina's hand, knowing what could be.
"What's that?" Tori asked not wanting to show how happy she was.
"It's some of your clothes, I was able to grab them before mom put them in the car to send to the church," Trinia answered.
"Thanks, Trin," Tori replied taking the suitcase.
"There's something else in there I was able to snatch" Trina added.
Tori sat the suitcase down and opened it to see Jade's scissors from the scissoring that Cat her for Christmas.
"Oh my God, Jade's scissors, I forgot I had these," Tori said in excitement.
"She was going to throw them out. I grabbed before she could." Trina said.
Trina let Tori admire the scissors remembering her girlfriend before breaking the silence.
"Look Tori, I wanted to talk to you about everything," Trina said, breaking Tori's gaze at the scissors
"What about it? Holly kicked me out and now, I'm staying with Cat " Tori stated
"I know and I was able to get in touch with dad, he's aware of everything," Trina said.
Tori looked through the suitcase, trying to see what was in there.
"How did you get in touch with dad? He said that he couldn't be reached." Tori asked
"I called Gary and told him that there was an emergency that needed his input. Two hours later he called me back." Trina answered.
"Thanks, Trina this means a lot, " Tori said still holding the scissors.
"I'm sorry I couldn't get more," Trina said sympathetically.
Tori pulled Trina into a hug, whispering in her ear "this is more than enough,"
"What did you tell dad?" Tori asked breaking away from the hug.
Trina didn't want to tell her sister everything they talked about just yet, so she tried to beat around the bush and leave out some details.
"I told him that mom changed the locks and kicked you out," Trina answered. "He said that she's doing this to get back at him." Trina continued but stopped because she realized she spoke out of turn.
"What are you talking about, get back at him, why?" Tori asked confused.
"I shouldn't say anything I promised I wouldn't," Trina said. "Tell me how did you Jade start dating," Trina continued trying to change the subject.
"Oh no, don't do that, don't change the subject," Tori started. "What did you promise not to tell me?"
Trina was wracking her brain to come up with a lie, but she could find one.
"Come on, I deserve to know, is it about me?" Tori asked worriedly.
Tori kept trying to edge Trina to tell her, but Trina finally did.
"Holly isn't your mother," Trina blurted out
Tori's world seemed to have stopped when those words hit her ears. Tori didn't know how to process what she had just heard.
"Wha…what do you mean she isn't my mother?" Tori asked heartbrokenly.
Tori and Holly didn't see eye to eye but that was her mother or so she thought, and Tori did love her in her way.
Trina just knew that David wouldn't be happy about this, but she came this far, she didn't see the point in stopping now.
"Dad said that when he was assisting on a case in Twentynine palms, he met another officer and he had an affair," Trina said
Filling in the blanks herself, Tori fell within herself, and just got up and went upstairs to her room. Sensing Tori wanted to be alone, Trina didn't follow she stayed for a while before leaving.
Tori was sitting in her room on the bed streams of tears pouring from her eyes, really not knowing what to do. Tori laid down on the bed. her mind was racing with the words her sister had shared with her earlier.
Later on that evening Tori was sitting on the bed going through her camera roll of her Jade. it was a picture of Jade and Tori in bed, Tori had her arms wrapped around Jade, both girls smiling from ear to ear. Tori stared at the picture admiring the image of Jade.
"I really wish you were here," Tori said "I feel like if you were all of this would be easier to deal with."
Cat knocked on the door and waited for Tori to answer.
"Come in," Tori said.
Cat opened the door and went over to Tori sitting down beside her.
"How ya doing babe?" Cat said rubbing Tori's back.
"Honestly I don't know," Tori answered, "Between Jade and then finding out that Holly isn't my mother. I just fell numb" Tori finished.
"I'm so sorry this is happening to you, I wish I could do more." Cat stated
"You've done enough Cat, really. you're giving me a place to stay." Tori replied. "Aren't you supposed to be to be meeting Robbie anyway?" Tori asked
"I was, but I decided to stay with you," Cat said.
"No Cat, go see Robbie," Tori said "Don't stop living your life just because mine is stopped."
"But what-" Cat tried to say but was cut off by Tori.
"Cat go, I'll be fine," Tori pleaded.
"You sure? Because-" Cat tried again
"Yes, I'm sure," Tori stated pushing Cat up off the bed.
"Fine, I know when I'm wanted," Cat said sarcastically "there's lasagna in the fridge if you get hungry," Cat said leaving out the room.
Tori laid back on the bed, going back through her camera roll before drifting off to sleep.
