Zoysite - We're lucky Ace has Marco to protect him and can stay reletavely calm! I hate that this can happen for real.
Wishfull-star - AAaaah noooooo we got the proof it happens for reall! Why! That's so sad people do that, from both sides too! May they catch all workers and customers who try to steel and fool the other good people out there! I am happy to hear your store does also ban the customers and isn't like 'customer is always right' and let them do as they wish.
Thank you very much!
Far too much. If it was around that amount every time, it will add up so quicklly even from just a few times! But now Ace shall get a lot back thanks to Marco!
"-ce. Ace."
"H-huh!?" Wide eyed Ace looked around, "h-huh what? Who? Where?! Aaah!" Ace screamed at the sudden touch to his face and promptly fell of whatever he was sitting on.
"ACE!"
Woof!
"Eeep! Brownie!" The raven eeped as he was suddenly being licked. His fear and confusion ebbing away as he had his hands in the soft fur. His fluffy companion was here, he was safe, Brownie would notify him if there was anything wrong.
"Ace-yoi. Are you okay?"
Finally he recognized the gentle voice and also the worry in it. "Marco."
"Yes. Are you okay, love? I'm really sorry for scaring you. I thought you just didn't know where I was, so I touched you. I didn't realise you didn't hear me come up at all."
"I'm okay." Ace smiled, pressing a kiss to Brownie's head before telling him to sit. "I'm okay. I wasn't paying attention and forgot where I was. I'm sorry."
"You've got nothing to be sorry about, darling. Can I help you get up-yoi?"
The arms outstretched were a clear answer and Marco didn't hesitate to take them and pull Ace up, checking him all over while the raven giggled.
"I'm really okay, Mar."
"Just making sure." he said while patting Ace down before he moved them to sit down on the couch. "What were you thinking of so deeply."
"..."
"Darling?"
"It's... it's the wedding..."
"Is something wrong? We have everything planned... we should have everything planned. Wait, I'm checking our list."
Hearing the rustling he knew Marco was taking his phone and he reached a hand towards him, finding his side and tracing it to find his arms and hand and took it in his own. "Everything important is done."
"Then?"
"I'm nervous."
"Oh ooooh" Marco chuckled squeezing the hand, "I'm nervous too. I've never married a man this handsome and kind before. And it will also be the only time-yoi."
At this Ace blushed, the blond always knew how to woo him at any moment and reassure him. "Stop it."
"It's the truth. I promise on your every freckle."
A giggle left the raven whilst leaning into the hand that fell on his cheek, "That's a lot of promises."
"And I mean it on every single one of them."
"... Thank you, Marco." Ace leaned over to rest against Marco's side, smiling as the hand that had been on his cheek went to hold his waist, while the other stayed in his hand and he was allowed to play with it, play with the ring around his fiancé's finger. "I'm a little unsure about being apart."
"Apart?"
"Before the wedding. I may not have seen that many weddings... or I did but I just wasn't interested at that age, but I know the tradition is to not see your partner already from the day before or so. And I'm fairly sure your brothers are planning on kidnapping you."
"Wha- did they say they were going to do that-yoi?!"
"Haha no, but you know your own brothers better than me, they're definitely doing something crazy."
"... True... Man... There goes the evening relaxing with my fiancé."
Ace chuckled at the sigh in Marco's voice. He knew the blond loved his brothers with his whole heart, but they could be a lot. "Maybe they'll kidnap you and take you to a bookstore."
A loud snort was there, "Yea right-yoi. Not even if I bribed them would they willingly go to a bookstore. Anyway, we're going a bit off topic I think, why are you unsure of us being apart"
"... I'll miss you."
"I'll miss you too." The reaction was so fast that Ace was sure the other hadn't even thought the words over before saying them, yet it was the truth and it brought a smile to his face."
"What is it really-yoi?"
"..." Why did Marco always see through him! "It's..." he sighed "it's difficult to explain. I know we're separate the day before or at least couple hours before and then one of us walks down the isle to the other. If I stand at the altar, I'm looking into nothingness. Everyone will see you walking, will see how you look, everyone will know everything already while I know nothing. I doubt there is even time at the altar for me to feel you over. To feel your hairdo. To feel the crinkles and shape of your suit. To-"
"Ace. It's our wedding. If you want to feel me up at the altar you can. Maybe not below the waist when everyone is watching but-
"M-Marco! Not like that!"
"Haha, sorry-yoi. But I mean that, you can take your time. Everyone knows it's how you see. I can't do anything about the others seeing me before you. What about the other way around?"
"... It's the same isn't it? Everyone sees you standing when I'm not even there yet. And if I walk over, I would need to use my cane or Brownie in his harness and... I... I don't want to use them on our big day. Even if I can't see them, I don't want my cane in the pictures or the guide-harness. They'll draw all the attention. If people see them their first reaction will be like 'awww look at that! That blind person got married, how cute!'."
"Ace, that's not-"
"It will be. I know you don't care. Your brothers don't care. But I want that even when strangers see our photos, they will just be like 'look at that happy couple. Happily married. Look at them'. I want them to see us. You and me. Not just my disability."
At Marco's silence he looked down, "I'm sorry... Suddenly jumping this all on you... I'll be okay. I-" a kiss to his lips silenced him instead.
"Don't say you're sorry-yoi. I was thinking on what we can do. This is our wedding. We both need to have a great time. No insecurities for either one of us, no matting how big or minor. It will already be a big and nervous day if everything goes well."
The blond hummed, letting Ace know that he was still thinking so he wasn't insecure. "What if... what about... hmmm ah, we just don't separate."
"Huh?"
"We just stay together. That solves it all doesn't it-yoi? Before we even go into the room, you can touch me all you want."
"M-mar-"
"Haha, sorry, last time. You can see how I look in your way, take as much time as you want. You'll be the first who has seen me... besides Izou who's there to help us get into suits. And then instead of one of us walking to the altar to the other, we just walk together."
"Together?"
"Yea. Hand in hand. I guide my love to the altar where we will do our vows. Not only is it romantic, but the pictures will also just show us walking together. Nothing that puts the spotlight on your blindness. But do know it wouldn't be bad. You know I love every part of you.
"But the tradition... We're not supposed to see each other..."
"Love." Marco took Ace's second hand to squeeze them both together. "It's our wedding. Oooouuur wedding. We do what we want. It's our big day. Besides, traditions are there to be broken! We're rebels!"
"Hahahha Mar! No, we're not! Hahah"
"There's my sunshine smile!"
Cheeks flushed red but the smile stayed big on his lips, "Thank you, Marco. You're wonderful."
"You're wonderful-yoi.
"You're wonderfuller."
"You're-"
"Dddooooonnnnn'ttt try to beat meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~" Ace whined as he draped himself over the blond who didn't hesitate to pull his fiancé into his lap and peck his head.
"This time you win."
"Yeeey!"
"haha. So, walk together?"
"Yea. I would like that... What about your kidnapping?"
"You'll warn me when they come because you have super hearing and will know the second they arrive at the door."
"Hmmmmmm, will I hear them? They'll probably be verrrryyyy quiet."
"... I know you can feel my unimpressed look right now, darling."
"Hihi."
"You're lucky you're so adorable-yoi. But you're really good with each of us having a bachelor party separate? We can do it together too if it makes you feel better."
"No, that's okay. Knowing I will have you close at the wedding itself is enough for me."
"Alright. But firefly-" Marco gently moved Ace's chin up to look him in the eye. Still loving those misty eyes as much as the first day. He smiled at them before leaning in to peck the cute nose. "Tell me if there's anything. Nothing is too little. We're here for each through everything, no?"
"Yea... through thick and thin."
"Through sickness and health-yoi."
"Always."
"Forever."
After the last words, another soft smile was on both their lips as they melted in each other. Even without following all the traditions, everything would be perfect. Perfect for them.
