Naruto X Mona.

All my life, all I have known is divination.

I was taught by my master, who adopted and took me in when I was but a young child. I barely remember my mother. My father. I was too young to remember who they were when my master took me in, saying I had the talent.

Her presence was so intimidating. It took me quite some time before I felt comfortable around my master. I think she knew this and was patient with me. She knew they had an aura about them. Every member of the Hexenzirkel felt like this. Despite their kindness, they each held such overwhelming auras and otherworldly presences that I was frightened by them.

All except her… A good friend to my master but her primary rival. They fought over which of their fields was superior, divination and alchemy. Of course, I am biased, but I see the benefits of the practice… And she was always so kind and helpful to me…

It helped that she had children. It made her more comfortable to approach. One was a newborn, so that was a little awkward… Her other, a child she saved from the Abyss in another world, was my age. He was unlike me and energetic, and sometimes he could annoy me… But I always enjoyed their visits. Spending time with someone my age… Felt nice.

Until I learned divination and decided to read my future… I regret it every day after, for I saw our fate together… And while I don't mind it… It's frustrating.

Why can I live my life with a bit of spontaneity? Live life he does? Free of burden and worry. …By the Archons, I can't get him out of my head even when he is not around!

At least my fate is tied to someone who can live life as I wish I could… I'm lamenting again… But why did that old bat send me to Mondstadt knowing I'd read my fate?! She knows if I see him again…

I guess I am not even exempt from fate. But I'm really not looking forward to this… Alice doesn't seem to be in Teyvat currently, yet I am to deliver something to her and bring back a trinket for my master…

And that means seeing him again… And his little sister, who is somehow MORE of a troublemaker than he is.

It was a bright and warm day with a gentle breeze of wind. It was almost perfect, but Naruto frowned as he brushed off the Favonius symbol from his orange uniform. Squinting as he gazed up into the skies of Wolvendom, he rolled his eyes. Had to remind himself that it was faux sun… How he missed his old home before the void swallowed it.

Sniffing the air, Naruto frowned. It was a beautiful day, but he could smell smoke. That couldn't be good… What was worse was that it smelt like a fire had started, and that wasn't his primary issue. He had a much more significant one on hand. One that could be catastrophic if he left it unchecked… And misfortune may have already befallen someone or something nearby…

His sister had gone out independently while he was on assignment… That never boded well. The peaks of the Stormbearer Mountains would never be the same after the last time she went out on her own.

"Maybe I should stop teaching her the process of advanced bomb-making," Naruto muttered, wincing as he inhaled another deep whiff of smoke. "Where are ya, troublemaker… You take after me too much, ya know."

He grumbled as he ran through spiky locks. Why did they have few options to care for her when he and Albedo were out on assignment or research? There was Lisa, but she had enough on her plate. She enjoyed spending time with Amber. Together, they created her Baron Bunnies, which Amber infused with her Pyro Vision to ignite vigorously. He wished they could depend on Sucrose more, but she either was with Albedo or absorbed in her alchemic endeavors.

Eula was an option… If he dared crossed the vengeance-seeking lass. She seemed to have a bone to pick with him ever since he said he was fated to another…

No… It had to be Kaeya who watched her while they were out. And he swore he let her go out alone on purpose! The asshole wanted the trouble his sister would cause, thinking it would be a blast! She didn't know better!

"Friend! Problem!" A familiar voice called out to him. Snapping his head through the source of the voice, through the forest, he saw a figure with a tattered brown cloak over his tan shirtless vest, his long, shaggy silver hair flowing behind him as he leapt toward him.

But most importantly… The small child wearing a red and white Favonius uniform twirled her arms as she ran energetically behind him.

His right eye twitched as he bore a hole into his sister's head with his vision, who meekly hung her head in response. "What did you do, Klee?!"

"Big brother… I'm sorry." Klee held her hands behind her back and rocked back and forth while weakly kicking at the grass before her. Naruto twitched. It was adorable, but he could not fall for the tactic! She was clever and attempted to play him! She knew she had done something wrong!

"Friend!" Razor quickly drew Naruto's attention, pointing at the domain of Andrius ahead. His face paled upon seeing the heavier smoke descending upon the forest. "Fire! Big explosion!"

With a horrified expression, Naruto turned to his little sister, still meekly pouting. "Don't tell Acting Grand Master Jean. …I'm sorry. I was only trying to catch a pretty lizard to show you."

Trembling with anxiety and a fire burning in his stomach, Naruto took a deep breath before exhaling. "Can't do that… She's gotta know. She's looking after Mondstadt in place of Grand Master Varka." Kneeling before Klee, putting on a cheerful smile, his eyes glimmered as the Anemo Vision he wore as a pendant vividly shone. "So come on. Let's clean up your mess. Did you forget you can use your Vision to control the flames? Together with mine, we can put out the flames."

"But I tried…" Klee whimpered, her elven ears lowering. Despite her big brother's visible expression, she could feel he was disappointed in her…

"Well, together, we can do it, no problem!" Naruto chirped, patting Klee's head. "Believe in big brother, and we'll have this done in no time!"

"Really?" Klee perked up, eyes shimmering hopefully at Naruto.

"Sure can!" Naruto beamed before his eyes mischievously sparkled. "The faster we get this done… The faster you can go to time out!"

Klee's world turned monotone and shattered before her. Not time out! Not again!

Naruto snickered at his sister's terrified expression, standing up and gauging the density of the smoke in the distance. It would take some work, but he could suppress these flames by starving them of oxygen. However…

His thoughts trailed a particular man whom he had made his day ' Oh, so lovely.' He could only envision the torment he would inflict upon the man soon enough.

He better believe he was coming.

With a loud sneeze, fumbling the drink in his hand, a cold shiver traveled down Kaeya's back. His lone visible eye quivered as he looked into the sky.

He felt death had come upon him. Strange.

"Everything alright?" Diluc frowned, sitting at the table outside Angel's Share, carefully examining his drinking partner.

"Ah, yes." Kaeya nodded, taking a relaxing drink of his wine. "Nothing to be worried about."

"Uh-huh." Diluc measured his reaction. Then, shrugging his shoulders, Diluc took a light swig of his wine. "So I received some information today… I heard the Galewind Knight was returning today from his research expedition into the Deserts of Hadramaveth."

Stiffening in his seat, Kaeya's lone visible eye flickered with fear. But it was only for a brief moment before he laughed. "Is that what he said he was doing? Ah, I wonder how his Fated would feel about his girlfriend in the desert."

Grimacing, scraping his chair away against the stone flags as he slid out and stood up from the table, Diluc shook his head. "Burying your own grave, huh? …Not going to save you this time when you are left strung up in front of the church half-naked again…"

"Neither will I. Vengeance will be served soon." A snarl caused Kaeya to freeze, recognizing who was behind him, likely coming for a drink after her mission. "I came to find you to take over watching Klee while he and Albedo were out on research expeditions…"

"Now, where is she?"

Walking upon the grassy plains, a gentle wind whispered around her as she stood upon the cliffside, looking down on the country of Mondstadt. Holding the brim of her wide-brimmed witch's hat, she gazed upon the striking countryside with some awe.

But something didn't feel right. Her stomach knotted. Her eyes dilated, and her lips gnarled and twisted.

Why was she suddenly boiling mad? If he were out flirting with another girl, she would flood his apartment again.

He better believe it.
