"Sorry about this guys."

"Why are you sorry?" Castle asked his friend immediately.

"Really?" Brad responded with his own question. "You realize this was a wild goose chase. Whoever's the killer sent us here to buy time."

"For what?" Skye asked.

"You don't sense anything do you?" Brad asked her.

"I'm not psychic," Skye said firmly. "And I'm tense."

"Okay, then we better head back," Brad said with a sigh before the automatic doors to the hospital opened and they turned to find it was Corwin and Eaton, the former speaking to him.

"I hope you're finished with me," the man said angrily.

"I am," Brad said, keeping his tone even. "You've been cleared."

"Good, because I'm getting my divorce and we're getting married," Corwin said firmly, grasping Eaton's hand that was resting on his shoulder.

"As soon as we're finished signing our license," Eaton said.

Not saying anything, the group watched the pair soon leave for the curb where the woman's car was before she helped Corwin into the car with a nurse's help.

"I wanted to point out we couldn't really stop them," Castle said once the pair were gone. "That you couldn't."

"I was going to," Brad said, since his friend had directed that to him at the end. "But they seemed annoyed enough already."

"He must have found out about the codicil," Beckett said.

"More than likely," Skye said. She then said, "Maybe he found out he wouldn't be able to contest it in court?" When she realized the others were looking at her she asked, "Yes?"

"Are they with you right now?" Mary asked.

"They are," Skye replied. "They remember what they put in their wills and they're hoping Harrington will take on running the museum."

"Are we heading back?" Darnley asked the chief.

Looking at the door into the hospital, Brad said, "Yeah, I'm not going to charge Moses with anything. He's been through enough." He started to walk before he paused and said, "I did ask them to send him to the facility in Hayground, he should be able to get some treatment this time around."

"Unless he bolts," Darnley said since the others from the Hamptons had explained about the homeless man they'd encountered before in the city.

"Hopefully not," Beckett said before they were continuing to walk. After they were in their cars, she said to Skye, "We're going to need to look at the security company now."

"Is that why Brad's upset?" Mary asked.

"A little," Castle answered, following the chief's cruiser leaving the parking lot. "But we're in day three and we haven't found much."

"At least you have two of the three pieces," Skye said.

"Are they still upset about that?" Mary asked her wife.

"Slightly," Skye admitted. She then shook her head and said, "What about the museum? They want us to go to the museum."

"I can ask Brad," Beckett told her.

"Is it open still?" Skye asked.

"You mean today?" Castle corrected her. He saw her nodding in the rearview mirror and said, "I don't think it is, out of respect and to see what the new owner would want to do."

"Which is good, it means no one's going to try to look for that brooch," Skye replied. She paused and then said, "Though now I see why Brad is so upset."

"We can look over the case again," Castle commented. "Maybe Bernard and Eileen will remember something."

"Maybe," Skye said with a nod before they were falling silent.

When they were back at the station, the group walked inside and to Brad's office before he was turning to everyone.

"I called the company but they couldn't tell me who was in charge of maintenance for each place their cameras were on," Brad told them. "They have a lot of clients and they use paper records."

"Maybe now is a good time to switch to digital," Darnley said.

"I said as much," Brad replied with a nod. He then said, "But they did say they'd start looking."

"Are you thinking about going there and helping them?" Skye asked.

"No, until I get those names I'd like to go over the case again," Brad replied. "With you."
Inclining her head once, Skye said, "I was hoping to do that. But there's something else I'd like to do a lot more."

"Go to the museum?" Brad asked. When the investigator nodded again he sighed and said, "We'll have to wait."

"Why that reaction?" Castle asked with a frown.

"I instructed Fox not to come in yet," Brad said. "And Harrington's in charge of the museum now. She has the keys to the entrance."

"What about the caretaker, Peyton Glazer?" Beckett asked, adding the end so Skye and Mary would know who she was talking about.

"He's out of town, I called him and he said he had a pickup Mr. Vernon had already scheduled," Brad said before he watched Castle walk up to the board that had the list of cars the museum had.

"What're you thinking?" Beckett asked, her gaze on her husband as well.

"We proved that the Vernons owned all the cars in the museum," Castle said. "But how did that rumor get started in the first place?"

"Interesting question, but who would know the answer to that?" Brad asked.

"David and Rebecca," Castle and Beckett said at the same time. They glanced at each other before she said, "They know about the museum; especially David," before they were turning to Brad while he responded to them.

"And the thing with the city," the chief said. "How was he friends with him if-"

Holding his hand up, Castle explained, "Beckett talked to Rebecca yesterday after our girls were in bed; we'd forgotten about that and we spoke to David too. He let us know that what it turned out to be was a misprint in the transfer of property. Between Bernard and the previous owner but that was due to the clerk in City Hall."

"Who was it?" Brad asked with a frown.

"He passed away last year," Beckett answered before her husband could. "Jeremiah Hammond."

"Second tier," Brad said. When the writers nodded he thought that over for a moment and said, "Heirs?"

"No, he was a bachelor all his life," Castle said. "But I'm not surprised you thought of that."

"What about anyone who wanted to buy that warehouse?" Darnley asked, startled when his friend and her husband were looking at each other. "It is a museum," he stated before she was speaking first.

"There wasn't," Beckett said.

"David told me about it," Castle said. "But years ago," he added swiftly when he saw his friend was frowning at him. "I just remembered. The place was used during WWII to manufacture belts for the army and then I think he said it switched to ammunitions… yeah. So it's history and it may be listed but it was run down when they were selling it, that's why there was no one else trying to buy it but Bernard."

"I need to look into the family still," Brad said.

"Are you okay?" Beckett asked, going over to Skye.

"Yeah, just looking at this list," the investigator replied. She frowned and then said, "I wonder… What about the Phantom? The deed?"

"It's a printout," Darnley said. "We didn't tell you?"

"No," Skye said, taking the evidence bag the carpenter was handing to her.

"Anything?" Mary asked, watching her wife closely.

"No," Skye replied slowly. She then looked at the board and said, "But obviously this is your motive."

"I think you mean the cars," Beckett told her.

"No I think you want to pay more attention to the building," Skye said. "That collection is worth… a lot."

"And the engine you got sent?" Darnley asked.

Smiling, Skye said, "That was because of the bracelet." She then frowned and said, "They were leaving Harrington everything but they kept the necklace there."

"She may like rubies," Castle said. "What?" he asked with a frown when he saw the way the others were looking at him.

"That's your theory?" Darnley asked.

"He's right it seems a little weak for you," Mary said.

"Did you expect me to accuse Harrington?" Castle asked. When he got some nods in response he snorted and said, "I'd sooner believe Eaton did it, and she has an alibi." Shaking his head he said, "No, she was distraught when she was told."

"Very," Beckett replied. "And she has that phone call to her friend as an alibi for Eileen's murder."

"I never thought she was our killer anyway," Brad said, walking over to them from his desk. When the others were merely looking at him in response he said, "I was able to make really quick work of that. The heir of the previous owner of the warehouse lives in Arizona and wants nothing to do with his uncle's property. He said his uncle was obsessed with the jewels and spent five years in the eighties digging up the floor but he didn't find anything. It nearly ruined the relationship his uncle was in at the time and the heir never liked the building. And he's working and was there the night the Vernons were murdered."

"That many years since the building was sold to Bernard? I didn't believe there was anything to that," Skye replied. "But interesting that back in the eighties they were destroying for that set."

"I mentioned it's well known in the area," Castle commented. He then turned his attention to his friend and asked, "What now?"

Studying the two boards they had, Brad said, "I'm not leading this right now."

Glancing at the chief Skye said, "What makes you think I could?"

"Because I've noticed you looking at that list," Brad answered firmly.

"We've looked at the previous owners," Darnley said.

"Of course you did," Skye said, since the names were next to each model and big red x's after that. "What I think is going on here is the cars themselves." She then turned to the others and asked, "The employees all cleared?"

"We checked on them a second time," Darnley answered.

"Might I do something then?" Skye asked, touching a part of the board that wasn't written on.

"Alright," Brad answered.

Turning the board to its blank side, Skye picked up a marker before she closed her eyes as her wife was stepping up to her.

"Rose-" was all Mary was able to say before her wife was interrupting her.

"Don't grá," Skye said firmly, looking at her. "I need to do this, but I'll be in control this time."

Not letting go of her wife's wrist, Mary finally nodded and released her before they were looking on as she proceeded to draw. Still concerned, her eyes widened when Skye was drawing different boxes and x's and a circle before she was stepping away abruptly. "Are-" she started to say.

Beckett stepped towards her friend in concern when she nearly threw herself at the board but kept herself from touching her as she reached out with her shaking hand.

Opening her eyes, Skye breathed out roughly and said, "Eileen… why?"

"What is it?" Brad asked in concern, all of them standing close to the investigator.

"That first circle in this room," Skye said before she paused. "What room is this? I know I just drew the museum. Where is that?"

"Hold on," Castle said, going on his phone and opening the museum's site. He found the map quickly and held it up saying, "That's the forties."

"Okay, the brooch was in a Packard," Skye said. "Bernard remembers now. All three were in the Phantom, he put them there… he thinks."

"He thinks?" Darnley said.

"It's still fuzzy to him," Skye said quickly. "But he became worried about them for some reason and split them up. He was definitely on this own then and put the bracelet in the engine, the necklace he wanted Mia… Harrington to have since she loved rubies and she was going to inherit the pieces anyway. And the brooch… it's not in the Packard anymore."

"Where is it?" Brad asked.

"That's the new exhibit," Castle said swiftly after he looked at the museum's map.

"We have to go, I know where it is," Skye said, holding herself rigid suddenly. "But Mia and Philippa don't."
