"I hope Kairi's doing okay in there…" Daisy whispered to no one in particular.
The trio were sleeping peacefully, Riku's shoulders acting as pillows for the other two while he had his arms protectively around them. Kairi and Sora's hands were just overlapping each other, placed on Riku's chest. Even in sleep, they still made sure they were holding onto one another.
"She's better then okay." Clarabelle smiled, gesturing to their sleeping forms. "Sora and Riku are there with her. They'll protect one another."
Minnie was pacing around the room until her ears suddenly perked up. She turned just in time to see a scroll appear in bright blue flames on Yen Sid's desk. She had a bad feeling already.
"Minnie, what is it?" Daisy asked when she saw the Queen pale.
She took off the ring holding the scroll together, and wordlessly showed them.
"The King's wedding ring!" Daisy and Clarabelle gasped in shock. Who could've taken it from him? Only someone truly powerful would be able to rest the treasure from Minnie's loving husband.
"What's the letter say?!" Clarabelle asked in worry.
The Queen's face only grew more worried the more she read. "It's from Hades… It says if I don't return to Disney Castle, oh! Something horrible will happen to Mickey!"
"Minnie, you must go at once." Yen Sid said, even though he knew she'd go with or without his suggestion.
"I know." Minnie whispered, turning away only to find her friends waiting. "Girls?"
"No way are you going without your personal knight." Daisy grunted.
"Or your personal tailor!" Clarabelle cried with slightly less luster.
"You're right. We're stronger together." Minnie smiled gratefully. She turned to her master, bowing slightly before the trio left. "We'll be back!"
Yen Sid let out a slow sigh in worry. This was too coincidental, too planned. Hades chose this time because he believed they'd be distracted by something he sensed. Xehanort.
The old master glanced around wearily until his eyes landed on the trio of keyblade wielders. His hope for a bright future.
He cast a shield around their bodies. Xehanort would surely be after them, just like he'd gone after Eraqus' pupils.
Little did he know, the threat wasn't in this realm. It was in there, with them.
