Chapter 92: A Mandarin Island Reunion! And A Z Move!
Hello everyone, this chapter will have the group finally reach Mandarin Island where they'll meet up with some old friends and are excited to enter the tournament. But before the tournament begins Ash will battle someone and I'm sure you guys can guess who it is as the title kind of spoils it. This is also a long chapter and quite possibly the longest chapter of the arc. Now without further ado let's begin the story.
The chapter begins one day after the last one ended as we see the group still riding on the boat that Rudy gave them. As the boat continues to sail, we see the group on the deck currently relaxing as the captain speaks.
"Land Ho!" The man says making the group look forward as they see an island up a head Misty speaks.
"Is that Mandarin Island?" Misty asks as Tracey flips through his guidebook, smiles and speaks.
"Yep, that's it" Tracey answers making the 3 kids happy as Leaf speaks.
"We finally made it!" Leaf cheers happily as Ash speaks.
"Mandarin Island home to the water tournament man I can't wait to see what kind of trainers are there! Right Pikachu?!" Ash says with Pikachu agreeing with him as Ash then looks at the captain and speaks.
"Full speed ahead captain!" Ash says with the man nodding as he speeds up the boat making it go faster. A couple minutes later the boat has made it to the docks. The 4 kids get off the boat and tell the captain thank you with the man nodding as he then begins to sail back towards Trovita Island. The group wave him goodbye until they can't see him anymore and once that's done Ash speaks.
"Okay let's go" Ash says with the others nodding as they begin walking forward. As they're walking, they enter a festival that has many games, shops, toys, and food everywhere. The group have surprised looks on their faces as Leaf speaks.
"It's a Festival!" Leaf says as Tracey speaks.
"Similar to the orange league every year the people of Mandarin Island do a festival to get people excited for the tournament." Tracey says with the group nodding as Ash speaks.
"Well in that case let's have some fun!" "Pika! "Yeah!" Ash, Pikachu, and Leaf say and as they're about to run forward Misty speaks.
"Hold it!" Misty yells, causing them to stop as they look at her Ash speaks.
"What is it, Misty?" "Yeah, we were just about to have some fun" Ash and Leaf say as Misty speaks.
"I know but remember we're supposed to be meeting up with Lana" Misty says as Ash and Leaf speak.
"Oh yeah that's right!" The 2 kids say as Misty lets out a sigh Tracey speaks.
"So, this Lana person is someone you all met back on the SS. Anne, right?" Tracey asks with Misty nodding as she speaks.
"Yes, a couple days ago Lana sent me a message on my Pokegear saying that she along with a few other people will meet with us on Mandarin Island" Misty responds with Tracey nodding as Leaf speaks.
"I can't wait to see Lana again and I hope Mallow along with Sophocles are with her as I want to have Mallow's food again and play some games with Sophocles." Leaf says as Ash speaks.
"And I hope that Kiawe's with her as I want to challenge him to a battle" Ash says while having an excited look on his face with Pikachu sparking his cheeks. Tracey then looks at Misty and speaks.
"Did Lana tell you where to meet up?" Tracey asks as Misty speaks.
"No, she didn't unfortunately" Misty responds with Tracey nodding as Ash speaks.
"Well since she didn't tell us where to meet her maybe we should take a look around the festival" Ash says as Leaf speaks.
"Yeah, Ash's right" Leaf says as Misty glares at the two of them and speaks.
"You two just want to enjoy the festival, right?" Misty asks, making the 2 kids along with Pikachu sweat as they all nervously whistle trying not to show their true intentions. Misty then lets out a sigh and speaks.
"Fine well search around the festival for them" Misty says making the 2 kids along with Pikachu happy as they speak.
"Thanks Misty and Let's Go!" Ash and Leaf say as they begin to run forward Misty speaks.
"Hey wait!" Misty says as she begins to run after them Tracey lets out a sigh and speaks.
"They're all so hyper." Tracey says as he also runs forward to catch up with the group. After that 20 minutes pass during this time while they continue to search for Lana, they play many games, eat a lot of food and go on a few rides. The group continue to have fun as we then see them walking through the festival as Ash speaks.
"Man, this place is great!" Ash says while he and Pikachu are eating some cotton candy Leaf speaks.
"I know right!" Leaf says while eating 2 hot dogs and is wearing a hat that has the face of a Poliwrath on it Tracey speaks.
"Yeah, and look at these art pieces of different water Pokémon I got" Tracey says while holding 2 art pieces of a Gyarados and a Blastoise. Meanwhile, with Misty she continues to walk while feeding some cotton candy to Togepi and is trying to call Lana on her Pokegear again Ash looks at her and speaks.
"Aren't you having fun Misty?" Ash asks making Misty look at him as she speaks.
"I am but I just wonder where Lana is and it's making me worried that she hasn't responded to my messages or calls and so far, we haven't seen her anywhere." Misty responds while having a worried look on her face as Ash speaks.
"I wouldn't worry about Lana Misty you know how strong she is, and we also know that she's not by herself. Also, I'm sure that as long as we continue walking around the festival, we'll find her eventually." Ash says with Pikachu, Leaf, and Tracey agreeing with him. Misty looks at her friends smiles and speaks.
"Yeah, you're right" Misty says making the group smile as they continue to walk, they then hear a voice.
"There you are!" The voice says making the group turn around. Once they do Ash, Pikachu, Misty, and Leaf get smiles on their faces as they speak.
"Lana!" The kids say happily as Lana looks at them smiles and speaks.
"Alola!" Lana says while waving at the group as Misty instantly runs over to her, wraps her in a hug and speaks.
"It's great to see you again Lana!" Misty says with Lana saying the same thing as she returns the hug. The 2 girls then let go of each other as Lana then looks at Misty's Togepi and speaks.
"Misty is this your Togepi?" Lana asks with Misty nodding as she speaks.
"Yep, this is Togepi" Misty says as Lana says hello to the mon with Togepi saying hi back. After that Ash, Leaf, and Tracey walk over to them. When they get close enough Lana looks at Ash, Pikachu, and Leaf then speaks.
"It's great to see you guys again" Lana says with the 3 of them saying the same thing. Lana then looks at Tracey and speaks.
"And you must be Tracey?" Lana asks, with Tracey nodding as he speaks.
"Yep, my name's Tracey and it's a pleasure to meet you" Tracey says with Lana nodding as they then shake each other's hands. When they do Misty looks at Lana and speaks.
"By the way Lana how come you didn't answer my calls or messages?" Misty asks as Lana speaks.
"Oh, I was in a big hurry to meet up with you guys that I forgot to grab my Pokegear I'm sorry if I made you worried." Lana says as Misty speaks.
"It's fine I'm just happy to see you again." Misty says with Lana nodding as Ash speaks.
"By the way where's everyone else?" Ash asks as Lana speaks.
"Oh, they're at the Hotel we're staying at come with me I'll take you to them." Lana says with the group nodding as they begin following her. 5 minutes later they've reached the hotel the group look at the building as Misty speaks.
"You're all staying here?" "It's huge!" Misty along with Leaf say as Lana speaks.
"Yeah, this is practically a vacation for us, so Prof. Kukui wanted to get a big hotel." Lana responds with the group nodding as they then hear a voice.
"Lana your back" The voice says making the group look as they see Kiawe, Prof. Kukui, his wife Burnet, and Lillie. The 4 humans walk over to the group and when they get close enough Kiawe looks at Ash, Misty, Leaf, and Pikachu then speaks.
"You all look like you're doing well it's great to see you again" Kiawe says with the 3 kids and Pikachu nodding. Tracey then greets Kiawe with the boy greeting him back as Prof. Kukui speaks.
"So, these are the 3 kids you told us about" Kukui says making the group look at him as Ash speaks.
"Um are you Prof. Kukui?" Ash asks with the man nodding as he speaks.
"Yep, that's me I was once a student of your father and it's great to finally meet you" The man says with Ash nodding as he then shakes his hand. After that Ash along with Pikachu and Misty continue to look at him as Ash speaks.
"Say have we met before? Because you look awfully familiar" Ash asks with Pikachu and Misty thinking the same thing. Kukui has a nervous look on his face as he speaks.
"You're probably thinking of someone else as this is my first time meeting you" Kukui says with the 2 kids and Pikachu nodding making the man let out a relief sigh as he continues to speak.
"Oh, and this is my wife Burnet and next to her is Lillie who's staying with us" Kukui says as Burnet and Lillie wave at the group with the group waving at them as Ash speaks.
"So, your Lillie Lana, Mallow, and Sophocles told us a little about you" Ash says as Leaf speaks.
"Yeah, and I remember Mallow saying that even though you've a great knowledge about Pokémon you're scared of them. Is that true?" Leaf asks as Lillie speaks.
"Yes, what Mallow said is true as a long time ago I somehow became traumatized of Pokémon to the point that I can't touch them." Lillie answers with the group nodding as Lillie continues.
"But I'm working on overcoming my fear and one day I will be able to touch Pokémon" Lillie says while having a determined look on her face and making the group smile. Pikachu along with Togepi say hello to Lillie and the moment they do Lillie gets scared and quickly goes to hide behind Burnet as the woman speaks.
"Looks like it'll still take a while for you" Burnet says with Lillie nodding as the group let out a small chuckle Leaf speaks.
"Hey where are Mallow and Sophocles?" Leaf asks as Misty speaks.
"Now that you mention it, I don't see them either" Misty says as Kiawe speaks.
"Unfortunately, they were unable to come" Kiawe says as Lana speaks.
"Around this time of the year Mallow's restaurant is very busy so she had to stay and help her dad. Sophocles on the other hand is currently helping out his cousin with some programs that he's testing. They were sad not being able to come but wanted us to say hi to you all." Lana responds with the group nodding as Ash then looks at Kiawe's left wrist and sees a Z ring on it then speaks.
"Hey Kiawe, is that a Z Ring?" Ash asks making Kiawe look at him as he speaks.
"Why yes, it is. You see a few months ago I took on the Grand Trial on Akala Island and managed to get both by beating the Island's Kahuna." Kiawe responds making Ash smile as he speaks.
"Cool! Hey Kiawe before the Mandarin Island competition begins let's have a battle as I want to not only see how strong you've gotten but I also want to see your Z move." Ash says while having an excited look on his face which makes Kiawe smile too as he speaks.
"Sure, in fact I was just about to suggest it as I've been wanting to battle you again too." Kiawe responds making Ash smile as he speaks.
"Great then let's do it right now!" Ash says while having fire in his eyes with Kiawe having fire in his eyes too. Off to the side Tracey speaks.
"Hey, isn't it getting a little too hot?" Tracey asks as Misty speaks.
"That's just how they are" Misty says with the others nodding. Back to Ash and Kiawe, Kiawe speaks.
"Let's head over to the battlefield there's one nearby" Kiawe says with Ash nodding and before they're about to begin walking everyone hears a voice.
"OUT OF THE WAY!" The voice says making everyone look as they see a blonde-haired boy running towards them fast as Ash, Misty, Leaf, and Tracey speak.
"It's Barry!" The 4 kids say as suddenly Barry crashes into Ash causing them both to fall on the ground and knocking Pikachu off Ash's shoulder. On the ground the 2 boys along with Pikachu groan in pain as Barry speaks.
"Man, that hurt who ran into me?" Barry questions as he then looks at Ash and speaks.
"Gasp! It's Ash!" Barry says in surprise as Ash speaks.
"Hey Barry" Ash says as Barry speaks.
"So, you're the one who ran into me for that I'm going to give you a fine!" Barry says as Ash speaks.
"What?! If anyone's going to give out a fine, it'll be me to you as you ran into me!" Ash says with Pikachu agreeing with him making Barry mad as he speaks.
"Well, it's your fault for not getting out of the way so I'm fining you!" Barry says making Ash mad as he speaks.
"No way I'm fining you!" "Pika!" Ash along with Pikachu say as they then begin to argue with Barry. Off to the side Misty, Leaf, and Tracey shake their heads as Lana speaks.
"Um who's that?" Lana asks as Misty speaks.
"That's Barry he's one of Ash's rivals who's also competing in the Orange League" Misty responds with Lana nodding as they look at the 2 boys continuing to argue as Barry speaks.
"You know what let's settle this in a battle!" Barry says while holding a Pokeball as Ash speaks.
"You're on!" Ash says with Pikachu sparking his cheeks and before the 2 boys can begin everyone then here's another voice.
"Hey!" The voice says causing everyone to look and once they do they see Nemona running towards them as Ash, Misty, Leaf, and Tracey speak.
"It's Nemona!" The 4 kids say in surprise as when Nemona gets close enough to Barry and Ash, Ash looks at her and speaks.
"I wasn't expecting to see you here Nemona are you competing in the Mandarin Island competition?" Ash asks as Nemona speaks.
"Yep, I am and are you competing?" Nemona asks with Ash nodding making the girl excited as she speaks.
"Great I had a feeling you'd be!" Nemona says with Ash nodding. Off to the side Lana speaks.
"Is she another one of Ash's rivals that's competing in the Orange League?" Lana asks with Misty, Leaf, and Tracey nodding. Back to Ash and Nemona the girl speaks.
"Oh, and Ash how many badges do you have now?" Nemona asks as Ash speaks.
"I currently have 3 as I just got my third badge yesterday" Ash responds making Nemona happy as Barry smirks and speaks.
"3 badges? Really Ash?" Barry asks making Ash look at him as he speaks.
"Yeah, I have 3 so what?" Ash says as Barry speaks.
"Well, I'm just disappointed because I have all 4" Barry says as he shows Ash all four of his badges surprising the boy as Nemona speaks.
"Hey, I also have all 4 too" Nemona says as she shows off her 4 badges surprising Ash even more as he speaks.
"You both have 4 badges?!" Ash says while having a surprised look on his face Nemona looks at Barry and speaks.
"Oh, since we haven't met yet I should introduce myself I'm Nemona" Nemona says with Barry introducing himself as they then shake hands Nemona then looks at Ash and speaks.
"Hey Ash before the Mandarin Island competition starts let's have a battle!" Nemona says while holding a Pokeball and having an excited look on her face as Barry speaks.
"Hold it right their sister seeing as I got here first, I get to battle Ash" Barry says as Nemona speaks.
"What but I want to battle him" Nemona says as Barry speaks.
"Well, you're just going to have to wait your turn" Barry says making Nemona sad as Ash speaks.
"Actually, you're going to have to wait too Barry as I'm going to battle someone else" Ash says surprising Barry as he speaks.
"What! Who?!" Barry asks as Ash speaks.
"The person that's next to you" Ash responds making Barry along with Nemona look as they see Kiawe there. The 2 kids get surprised looks on their faces as Barry speaks.
"Where'd you come from?!" Barry says as Kiawe speaks.
"I've been here the whole time" Kiawe responds with Barry nodding as Nemona speaks.
"So, you're battling him first Ash?" Nemona asks with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Yep, before you guys came here Kiawe, and I decided to battle each other" Ash responds with Nemona nodding as she speaks.
"It sucks that I have to wait my turn, but I don't mind as I want to see just how strong this Kiawe guy is" Nemona says as Barry speaks.
"I don't mind either and Ash you're lucky that you're not battling me first as there's no way that a trainer with 3 badges can defeat a trainer with 4 badges" Barry says while having a confident look on his face making Ash glare at him, but he then ignores him as he looks at Kiawe and speaks.
"Okay Kiawe let's do this and how do you feel about it being a full 6v6 battle?" Ash asks while having an excited look on his face making Kiawe smile as he then speaks.
"A full 6v6 battle is fine with me but I do have one suggestion" Kiawe says as Ash speaks.
"A suggestion?" Ash questions with Kiawe nodding as he speaks.
"My suggestion is that I want you to use only your fire type Pokémon to battle against mine" Kiawe answers as Ash speaks.
"Only my fire types?" Ash asks with Kiawe nodding as he continues.
"Yes, while watching your Kanto league battles every time, I watched you use your fire types I could feel their burning desire to grow stronger and I want to test my fire types against them." Kiawe answers with Ash nodding as he smiles and speaks.
"Okay Kiawe that's fine with me and I just need to call Prof. Oak to switch out my Pokémon" Ash says with Kiawe nodding as Kukui speaks.
"This hotel that we're staying at has a video phone along with a transfer machine you can use it to call Prof. Oak" Kukui says as Ash speaks.
"Thank you! And Kiawe I'll be right back." Ash says with Kiawe nodding as Ash then quickly enters the building reaches the video phone and dials the number calling Prof. Oak. The phone rings 3 times until the old man appears on the screen Oak looks at Ash and speaks.
"Oh, why hello Ash and Pikachu." Oak says with the 2 of them saying hi back as Ash speaks.
"Hey Prof. Oak, we've made it to Mandarin Island and just met up with Kiawe and Lana again. Kiawe and I our going to battle each other it'll be a 6v6 battle with us only using our fire types." Ash says with Oak nodding as he speaks.
"I see okay Ash so who do you want me to transfer to you?" Oak asks as Ash begins to tell him the 6 mons he wants. After that Oak grabs the 6 mons that Ash picked and places them on the transfer machine while Ash puts Clefable's, Rhyperior's, Snorlax's, Dragonair's, Kingambit's, and Darmanitan's Pokeball's on the transfer machine. Once they do the machine turns on the Pokeball's glow disappearing then reappearing at their respective destination. Oak walks over to the screen and speaks.
"I got them safe and sound Ash" Oak says with Ash saying the same thing. After that Oak tells Ash good luck with his battle with Ash saying thank you as they then end the video call. Ash then walks out of the building he looks over at Kiawe and speaks.
"Okay Kiawe I got my 6 fire types and I'm ready" Ash says with Kiawe nodding as he speaks.
"Good come on I'll take you to the battlefield." Kiawe says with Ash nodding as he along with Ash and everyone begin walking to the battlefield. 5 minutes later they've made it to the battlefield. Ash and Kiawe are on their sides of the battlefield they look at each other and have smiles on their faces. Off to the side we see the group as Leaf speaks.
"Man, I can't wait for this battle to begin I'm so excited!" Leaf says as Misty speaks.
"Yeah, it's been a while since they battled each other" Misty says with Leaf and Lana nodding as Nemona speaks.
"They battled before?" Nemona asks as Misty speaks.
"Yes, you see back on the SS. Anne they had an intense battle with each other that was very close" Misty responds with Nemona nodding as she smiles and speaks.
"In that case I'm really excited to watch!" Nemona says while having an excited look on her face as Barry speaks.
"I'm interested in seeing how strong this Kiawe guys is" Barry says. Tracey's about to walk forward to be the referee but Kukui beats him to it. Kukui looks at both boys and speaks.
"I'll be the referee are you both okay with that?" Kukui asks as Ash speaks.
"Sure, I don't mind" Ash says with Kiawe giving a nod saying that he's fine with it too as Kukui speaks.
"This is a 6v6 full battle between Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town and Kiawe from Akala Island. Both trainers are allowed to substitute their Pokémon at any time and whoever defeats all of their opponents Pokémon first will be declared the winner!" Kukui says with both boys nodding as he continues to speak.
"Now will both trainers please send out your first Pokémon!" Kukui says as Ash speaks.
"I'll bring out mine first! Torracat, I choose you!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends out the fire cat. Once Torracat appears he lets out a roar then looks forward waiting for his opponent to appear as Kiawe speaks.
"So, your Torracat's first. I remember watching it battle in the Kanto league and was moved by its fiery passion. But in this battle the passion between my Pokémon and me will burn hotter! Arcanine come out!" Kiawe says as he throws the ball forward and sends out his shiny Kantonian Arcanine. The fire dog lets out a bark then looks at Torracat and glares at him with Torracat glaring back. Off to the side Nemona speaks.
"I've never seen a shiny Arcanine in real life before it's amazing!" Nemona says happily while Barry has a surprised look on his face as Misty speaks.
"It's been a while since we've seen Kiawe's shiny Arcanine" Misty says with Leaf agreeing with her as Tracey speaks.
"That gold fur along with its physique I've never seen a shiny Arcanine in such perfect condition before" Tracey says as he begins to sketch the mon. Back on the battlefield Ash looks at the fire dog and begins to think.
"So, Kiawe's using his Arcanine first it looks a lot stronger than when I saw it last on the SS. Anne" Ash says to himself as he looks at Torracat and speaks.
"Torracat let's do this!" Ash says with the fire cat nodding as Kiawe speaks.
"Get ready Arcanine" Kiawe says with the fire dog nodding as it along with Torracat get into battle stances Kukui speaks.
"Now that both trainers have sent out their first Pokémon let the battle begin!" Kukui says signaling the battle to start as Ash speaks.
"We'll attack first! Torracat use Flame Charge!" Ash calls Torracat, covers his body in fire and begins running towards Arcanine as Kiawe speaks.
"Counter with Flame Wheel!" Kiawe calls Arcanine becomes a wheel of fire shoots forward and collides with Torracat. When the 2 mons collide, they begin pushing each other back and forth trying to knock their opponent away. As they continue to do that Kiawe speaks.
"More power Arcanine!" Kiawe calls with the fire dog nodding as it then increases the power of its flame wheel which overpowers Torracat and hits the mon knocking him high into the air. In the air Torracat manages to reposition himself he looks down towards Arcanine and his bell appendage begins to heat up as Ash speaks.
"Now Torracat use Fire Blast!" Ash calls as a big blast of fire appears out of the bell and Torracat hits it with his left paw. The move heads for Arcanine but the dog is unfazed as it begins to heat up its mouth Kiawe speaks.
"Use Fire Blast Arcanine!" Kiawe calls Arcanine roars as it launches its own Fire Blast that collides with Torracat's and creates an explosion. Torracat manages to safely land then looks forward as when the smoke disappears Arcanine's gone surprising the cat and Ash as Ash speaks.
"Where'd it go?" Ash questions back on the battlefield Torracat notices something moving underneath it with Ash noticing it too as he speaks.
"Torracat dodge!" Ash calls with Torracat nodding as he quickly jumps back and when he does Arcanine appears from out of the ground Ash then calls for his next command.
"Okay Torracat now use Flame Charge!" Ash calls once Torracat lands he covers his body in fire and shoots forward going to hit Arcanine as Kiawe speaks.
"Use Protect!" Kiawe calls Arcanine quickly summons a protective barrier and blocks Torracat's attack as the cat is then bounced away. Arcanine then looks at Torracat and begins to heat up its mouth again as Kiawe along with Ash speak.
"Now Fire Blast!" "Torracat counter with your Fire Blast!" Both trainers call as the 2 mons quickly fire their own blasts of fire that collide with each other creating an explosion. When the explosion clears Torracat lands back on the ground and stares at Arcanine with the fire dog staring back. Off to the side Tracey speaks.
"They seem to be evenly matched so far" Tracey says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Kiawe smiles and speaks.
"I must say Ash your Torracat really is strong" Kiawe says making Ash smile too as he speaks.
"Thanks, and your Arcanine is as tough as ever" Ash says with Kiawe nodding as he speaks.
"If you think that's tough then you'll be surprised once Arcanine gets serious" Kiawe says as the fire dog lets out a bark agreeing with its trainer and making Ash smirk. But Ash's smirk doesn't last for long as he then begins to think.
"Kiawe's Arcanine has gotten really strong I'm sure that Torracat can beat it, but it would be best to switch him out for now" Ash says to himself as he pulls out Torracat's Pokéball and speaks.
"Torracat return for now" Ash says with the fire cat nodding as he goes back in his Pokeball Ash then puts the ball back on his belt as Kiawe speaks.
"You're returning your Torracat already?" Kiawe asks with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Yep, I am as I feel as though this one will be a much better match against your Arcanine." Ash says while holding his next Pokeball and making Kiawe curious as Ash speaks.
"Now! Arcanine, I choose you!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends out his Hisuian Arcanine. The moment the mon appears he lets out a loud roar creating a shock wave along with a small gust of wind. Once Arcanine's done roaring he looks at Kiawe's Arcanine with Kiawe's Arcanine glaring back as Kiawe speaks.
"So, you're using your Hisuian Arcanine next I must say seeing it in person I can feel that it has a lot of power." Kiawe says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"You're right about that" Ash responds while smiling. Off to the side Lana speaks.
"Wow so that's Ash's Hisuian Arcanine" Lana says as Lillie speaks.
"It looks so majestic" Lillie says with Burnet and Barry agreeing with her as Misty speaks.
"We had the same thoughts too when we first saw him" Misty says with Leaf and Tracey agreeing with her as Nemona speaks.
"So! Cool!" Nemona says with stars in her eyes. Back on the battlefield Kiawe looks at his Arcanine and speaks.
"Arcanine let's show them that you're stronger!" Kiawe says with the mon agreeing with him as Ash speaks.
"I'm counting on you Arcanine!" "Pika!" Ash along with Pikachu say with Arcanine nodding as he along with Kiawe's Arcanine get into battle stances. Kukui calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.
"Arcanine use Stone Edge!" Ash calls Arcanine roars as he stomps on the battlefield summoning multiple sharp stones from the ground that head for Kiawe's Arcanine as Kiawe speaks.
"Dodge Arcanine!" Kiawe calls his Arcanine quickly jumps to the left and dodges the attack. Once it does Ash's Arcanine appears in front of it as Ash speaks.
"Now use Double Edge!" Ash calls before Kiawe can tell his Arcanine to dodge or use Protect, Ash's Arcanine covers his body in white energy and hits Kiawe's Arcanine sending the mon sliding a few feet away as Kiawe speaks.
"Arcanine!" Kiawe calls in worry as his Arcanine barks letting him know that it's fine, but it then begins to groan in pain as Kiawe begins to think.
"That one Double Edge did a lot to Arcanine I'll need to watch out for its physical attacks, and it doesn't look like Ash's Arcanine took any recoil damage meaning that it has the Rock Head ability." Kiawe says to himself as he smiles, looks at Ash and speaks.
"Your Arcanine is truly strong Ash" Kiawe says making Ash smile as he speaks.
"Thanks" Ash responds having a smile on his face as Kiawe then gets serious and speaks.
"But even though it's strong my Arcanine will still defeat it! Arcanine use Flame Wheel!" Kiawe calls Arcanine roars as it becomes a wheel of fire and heads for Ash's Arcanine as Ash speaks.
"Arcanine counter with your Flame Wheel!" Ash calls Arcanine covers his body in fire shoots forward and collides with Kiawe's Arcanine. The 2 dogs begin pushing each other back and forth Ash's Arcanine begins to overpower Kiawe's as Kiawe speaks.
"Now Arcanine use Sunny Day!" Kiawe calls as while still in the Flame Wheel his Arcanine howls and sets up the Sunny Day. Kiawe's Arcanine feels more fire power as it then manages to overpower Ash's Arcanine and push him away. Ash's Arcanine slides a few feet back as he then looks forward Kiawe calls for a command.
"Now use Fire Spin!" Kiawe calls his Arcanine sends out a flaming vortex that swirls around Ash's Arcanine and traps him. While inside the vortex Ash's Arcanine is taking damage but not a lot as Ash speaks.
"Arcanine use Stone Edge to break out of that Fire Spin!" Ash calls Arcanine nods as he creates multiple sharp stones around him, fires them in all directions and easily gets rid of the Fire Spin. When Arcanine does that he along with Ash don't see Kiawe's Arcanine, Ash then sees a dugged up hole and is about to speak as Kiawe speaks.
"You're too late! Arcanine use Dig then Close Combat!" Kiawe calls as out from underneath Ash's Arcanine appears Kiawe's who hits the mon and sends him high into the air. Kiawe's Arcanine reaches Ash's and once it does Kiawe's Arcanine begins to hit Ash's repeatedly with each hit hurting more than the last. Kiawe's Arcanine hits Ash's Arcanine one more time and sends the mon crashing back down on the battlefield creating a dust cloud as Ash speaks.
"Arcanine!" Ash calls in worry as when the dust clears everyone can see Ash's Arcanine laying on his stomach groaning in pain but then stands back up as Ash speaks.
"Arcanine above you!" Ash calls making the fire dog look up and sees Kiawe's Arcanine heating up its mouth as Kiawe speaks.
"Now use Fire Blast!" Dodge Arcanine!" Both trainers' call. Kiawe's Arcanine fires a big blast of fire that's powered up by the Sunny Day meaning that the move is bigger. Ash's Arcanine quickly backs away as the blast of fire hits the battlefield creating an explosion. When Kiawe's Arcanine lands back on the ground it looks at Ash's Arcanine as Kiawe calls for a command.
"Now use Extreme Speed!" Kiawe calls his Arcanine shoots forward instantly and hits Ash's Arcanine causing some damage to him. Ash's Arcanine then looks at Kiawe's Arcanine, the 2 dogs continue to stare at each other and begin heating up their mouths as both trainers speak.
"Use Flamethrower!" The 2 boys call as the 2-mons roar sending out their respective streams of fire which collide creating an explosion. When the explosion clears the 2 mons slide a few feet away from each other then look forward as Kiawe speaks.
"Use Fire Blast!" Kiawe calls his Arcanine covers its mouth in fire and fires a big Fire Blast that heads for Ash's Arcanine as Ash speaks.
"Arcanine dodge then use Stone Edge!" Ash calls his Arcanine quickly moves to the right and dodges the Fire Blast. The fire dog summons multiple sharp stones around him and fires them towards Kiawe's Arcanine. Kiawe along with his Arcanine aren't worried as Kiawe speaks.
"Now Solar Beam!" Kiawe calls as his Arcanine fires a big grassy beam that easily blows pass all of the sharp stones and hits Ash's Arcanine causing damage and making the mon slide back a few feet away. Then when Ash's Arcanine stops himself he looks forward and sees Kiawe's Arcanine in front of him as Kiawe speaks.
"Now use Close Combat!" "Arcanine dodge!" Both trainers call Ash's Arcanine is unable to dodge in time as Kiawe's Arcanine begins to hit him repeatedly. Kiawe's Arcanine hits Ash's one more time sending the fire dog flying as he lands on the battlefield a few feet away Ash speaks.
"Arcanine!" Ash calls in worry as his Arcanine groans in pain Kiawe speaks.
"Now it's time we end this. Arcanine use Fire Blast!" Kiawe calls his Arcanine, heats up its mouth and fires a big blast of fire that heads for Ash's Arcanine. As the Fire Blast is getting closer Ash smirks and speaks.
"Nice try Kiawe but that's not going to work" Ash says making Kiawe confused as Ash calls for a command.
"Arcanine use Extreme Speed!" Ash calls "It knows Extreme Speed too?!" Kiawe says in surprise as when the Fire Blast is about to hit Ash's Arcanine the fire dog disappears making the blast of fire hit the battlefield. A second later Ash's Arcanine hits Kiawe's Arcanine causing damage and making the mon slide back a few feet away as Kiawe speaks.
"Arcanine!" Kiawe calls in worry as the fire dog shakes its head and looks forward ready to continue making Kiawe happy. Kiawe then looks at Ash and speaks.
"Not bad Ash I wasn't expecting that, but you'll need more than that to take down my Arcanine." Kiawe says as Ash speaks.
"Oh, don't worry I know" Ash responds having a smile on his face with Kiawe smiling too as they then both get serious and call for a command.
"Arcanine use Fire Blast!" "Counter with Stone Edge!" Both trainers' call. Kiawe's Arcanine fires a big blast of fire while Ash's Arcanine summons a large sharp stone and sends it forward. The 2 moves collide creating an explosion as Kiawe speaks.
"Now use Extreme Speed!" Kiawe calls as his Arcanine shoots forward Ash calls for a command.
"You use Extreme Speed too!" Ash calls his Arcanine nods as he shoots forward at blinding speed and collides with Kiawe's Arcanine. The 2 dogs begin pushing each other back and forth trying to see who's stronger. As they continue a couple seconds later Ash's Arcanine manages to overpower Kiawe's and pushes it away as Ash calls for a command.
"Now use Stone Edge!" "Arcanine Dig!" Both trainers' call. Ash's Arcanine stomps his two front feet on the ground summoning large sharp stones that head for Kiawe's Arcanine. Kiawe's Arcanine sees the stones coming and quickly digs underground dodging the attack. Ash's Arcanine then feels something traveling underneath as Ash speaks.
"Arcanine quick back away then use Double Edge!" Ash calls his Arcanine nods he quickly jumps back as Kiawe's Arcanine bursts from the ground missing its target. Ash's Arcanine lands a few feet away then begins to run forward while covering his body in a white aura as Kiawe speaks.
"Now Arcanine use Fire Blast!" Kiawe calls his Arcanine heats up its mouth and fires a big blast of fire that heads for Ash's Arcanine as Ash speaks.
"Keep going Arcanine and use Raging Fury!" Ash calls his Arcanine roars as he continues running forward the white aura he had before is now replaced with a fiery red aura. Arcanine then jumps into the Fire Blast easily goes through it until he reaches the other side. Kiawe along with his Arcanine have surprised looks on their faces as Ash speaks.
"Do It Arcanine!" Ash calls his Arcanine continues to roar as before Kiawe can tell his Arcanine to dodge Ash's Arcanine hits it. Kiawe's Arcanine is sent flying landing back on the battlefield a few feet away and creating a dust cloud as Kiawe speaks.
"Arcanine!" Kiawe calls in worry as when the dust clears the Sunny Day goes away and everyone can see that Kiawe's Arcanine is knocked out as Kukui makes the call.
"Kiawe's Arcanine is unable to battle making Ash's Arcanine the winner!" Kukui says making Ash smile as he speaks.
"Great job Arcanine!" "Pika!" Ash along with Pikachu say as Arcanine lets out a howl in victory. Off to the side Lillie speaks.
"I'm surprised that Kiawe's Arcanine lost" Lillie says while having a surprised look on her face as Lana speaks.
"Me too but it turns out that Ash's Arcanine was stronger" Lana says with Lillie nodding as Misty, Leaf, Tracey, and Nemona speak.
"Yay!" The 4 kids say happily while Barry smirks. Back on the battlefield Kiawe's a little surprised too but smiles and speaks.
"So, that's the power of a Pokémon from ancient times" Kiawe says to himself as he then returns his Arcanine back to its Pokeball and tells it thank you. Once he does that Ash speaks.
"So, Kiawe what do you think of my Arcanine he's pretty strong right?" Ash asks as Kiawe looks at him and speaks.
"Yes, I'll admit your Arcanine is strong which is what I was expecting" Kiawe says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"And now that we took down one of your Pokémon already, we just have 5 more to go and we'll win!" Ash says while having a confident look on his face making Kiawe smile as he speaks.
"Don't get too confident Ash because I'm just getting started and my next Pokémon will even the score" Kiawe says while holding his next Pokeball as he then throws it forward and speaks.
"Tauros come out!" Kiawe says as out from the ball appears a Blaze breed Paldean Tauros. The mon lets out a mighty roar then looks at Arcanine and has a serious look on its face with Arcanine looking at it as Ash speaks.
"Wow I didn't know that you had a Paldean Tauros" Ash says as Kiawe speaks.
"I just recently captured Tauros a few weeks ago when we took a trip to the Paldean region to do research on some of the Pokémon there" Kiawe says with Ash nodding as Kiawe continues to speak.
"And even though Tauros hasn't been on my team for long he's proven to be a strong member" Kiawe says with the bull nodding as Ash speaks.
"Well, he may be strong, but he doesn't stand a chance against my Arcanine" Ash says as he then looks at the dog and speaks.
"Are you okay to continue battling Arcanine?" Ash asks with the fire dog nodding as he looks at Tauros and gets in a battle stance with Tauros doing the same. Kukui calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.
"Okay Arcanine let's attack first use Stone Edge!" Ash calls Arcanine summons multiple sharp stones around him and fires them toward the bull as Kiawe speaks.
"Run forward Tauros and destroy those stones!" Kiawe calls with the bull nodding as it runs forward and begins to easily destroy the sharp stones which surprises Ash along with Arcanine. Once Tauros destroys the final Stone Edge Kiawe speaks.
"Now hit Arcanine with Iron Head!" "Arcanine dodge then use Raging Fury!" Both trainers call Tauros covers its head in steel energy and goes to hit Arcanine. But Arcanine quickly jumps to the left and avoids the attack. When Arcanine lands he roars covering his body in fire and jumps forward going to hit Tauros as Kiawe speaks.
"Tauros jump back then use Iron Head!" Kiawe calls Tauros quickly jumps back and dodges Arcanine's attack. Tauros then covers its head in steel energy shoots forward and hits Arcanine causing damage to the mon as Kiawe speaks.
"Now use Close Combat then High Horsepower!" "Arcanine dodge!" Both trainers' call. Tauros roars as it goes to hit Arcanine, Arcanine tries to dodge but can't as he's flinching from the Iron Head. After that Tauros begins to hit Arcanine repeatedly with its horns causing super effective damage to Arcanine. Tauros then gains an orange outline around its body as it then turns around and kicks Arcanine hard with its 2 back hooves. Arcanine's sent flying as he lands back on the battlefield a few feet away creating a dust cloud as Ash speaks.
"Arcanine!" Ash calls in worry as when the dust clears everyone can see Arcanine. He's groaning in pain and tries to stand back up but ultimately, he lays on the ground knocked out as Kukui makes the call.
"Arcanine's unable to battle Tauros's the winner!" Kukui says making Kiawe along with his Tauros smile while Ash and Pikachu are surprised that Arcanine lost. Meanwhile off to the side of the battlefield Misty speaks.
"Aw Arcanine lost" Misty says, "Man I wanted to see him in action more" Nemona says while having a sad look on her face as Tracey speaks.
"Unfortunately, Ash's Arcanine was not only tired from his battle with Kiawe's Arcanine but also Kiawe's Tauros had the type advantage with its fighting type moves." Tracey says with Misty, Leaf, Nemona and Barry nodding. Meanwhile Lana along with Lillie and Burnet cheer on Kiawe. Back on the battlefield Ash pulls out Arcanine's Pokeball and returns the mon. Ash tells Arcanine thank you and places the ball back on his belt as Kiawe speaks.
"Your Arcanine was strong Ash, you've trained him well" Kiawe says as Ash speaks.
"Thanks, and your Tauros is strong too. But it won't defeat mine!" Ash says while holding another Pokeball in his hand. He then throws the ball forward and speaks.
"Blaze, I choose you!" Ash says as his Blaze breed Paldean Tauros appears. The mon lets out a loud roar then looks at Kiawe's Tauros with Kiawe's looking at him. Off to the side Barry speaks.
"So, now it's a battle between 2 Tauros's" Barry says with the group nodding as back on the battlefield Kiawe looks at Blaze and speaks.
"I didn't know that you also had a blaze breed Paldean Tauros and I have to say it looks strong but it's nothing compared to my Tauros." Kiawe says as Ash speaks.
"We'll see about that. Okay Blaze get ready!" Ash says with Blaze nodding as he along with Kiawe's Tauros get into battle stances. Kukui then calls for the battle to continue as Ash and Kiawe speak.
"Use Flame Charge!" Both boys call as the 2 bulls cover their bodies in fire run forward and collide. When the two bulls collide, they begin pushing each other back and forth as Ash speaks.
"That's it Blaze keep pushing!" "Don't give up Tauros!" Both trainers say with the 2-mons nodding as they continue to push each other until a few seconds later they then slide away from each other. Kiawe's Tauros manages to stop itself then begins running forward heading for Blaze as Kiawe speaks.
"Now use Zen Headbutt!" Kiawe calls his Tauros covers its head in psychic energy and goes to hit Blaze as Ash speaks.
"Blaze dodge then use Drill Run!" Ash calls with Blaze nodding. When Tauros goes to hit Blaze, the bull quickly jumps to the right dodging the attack. Blaze then turns into a drill shoots forward and hits Tauros causing super effective damage and making the bull slide back a few feet away. Tauros then looks back at Blaze and sees him heating up his mouth as Ash speaks.
"Now Blaze use Flamethrower!" Ash calls Blaze fires a big stream of fire that goes to hit Tauros as Kiawe speaks.
"Tauros run forward and use Flame Charge!" Kiawe calls as Tauros covers its body in fire shoots forward and enters the Flamethrower. Tauros easily runs through the Flamethrower until it appears out of it reaches Blaze and has its horns ready as Kiawe speaks.
"Now use Close Combat then High Horsepower!" Kiawe calls before Ash can tell Blaze to dodge Tauros begins to hit Blaze with its horns repeatedly. Once Tauros stops it gains an orange outline, turns around and kicks Blaze hard with its two back hooves causing super effective damage and making the bull slide away as Ash speaks.
"Blaze use Drill Run!" Ash calls Blaze quickly turns into a drill shoots forward and hits Tauros causing super effective damage and making the bull slide back. Tauros then manages to stop itself and looks at Blaze with Blaze looking at it as their trainers speak.
"Use Bulk Up Then Raging Bull!" The two boys call as the 2-fire bull's roar. They increase their attack power along with their defense. Their horns glow a bright red and cover their bodies in fire. The 2 bulls then shoot forward and collide. The moment they do they begin trying to knock their opponent away but neither one giving in as Kiawe and Ash speak.
"Tauros let your flames burn hotter!" "Come on Blaze you got this!" Both say with the 2 bulls nodding as they roar increasing the power of their Raging Bulls more. When they do that Tauros begins to slowly push Blaze back as Kiawe speaks.
"Yes, that's it Tauros just a little bit more!" Kiawe says with Tauros nodding as it continues to slowly push Blaze back Ash speaks.
"Blaze don't give up!" "Pika!" Ash along with Pikachu cheer with Blaze nodding as he lets out a mighty roar increasing his fire power more and begins to slowly overpower Tauros as Kiawe speaks.
"What?!" Kiawe says as Ash speaks.
"Do it!" Ash says as Blaze continues to roar until he manages to break through Tauros's Raging Bull and hit the mon. Tauros is sent flying until it crashes back onto the battlefield a few feet away creating a dust cloud as Kiawe speaks.
"Tauros!" Kiawe calls in worry as when the dust clears everyone can see that Tauros is laying on the ground unconscious showcasing that it can't battle anymore. Kukui then makes the call.
"Tauros is unable to battle making Blaze the winner!" Kukui says making Ash happy as he speaks.
"Great job Blaze, I knew you could do it!" Ash says with Blaze nodding, off to the side Barry speaks.
"You know I thought for sure that Ash's Tauros was going to lose" Barry says as Tracey speaks.
"Hearing the cheers that Ash and Pikachu gave him Blaze wanted to win this battle for them which allowed him to increase the power of his Raging Bull and win." Tracey says with Barry nodding while Misty, Leaf, and Nemona cheer. Back on the battlefield Kiawe returns Tauros back to its Pokeball and thanks it. He then looks forward and speaks.
"Your Blaze is strong Ash I was sure that my Tauros would've defeated him." Kiawe says as Ash speaks.
"Thanks, and Blaze trains with not only my other Tauros but also my fire types at Oak's lab so he's strong." Ash responds with Kiawe nodding as he speaks.
"Well then let's see if he's strong enough to defeat my next Pokémon." Kiawe says as he pulls out his next Pokeball gets ready to throw it forward and speaks.
"Magmortar come out!" Kiawe says as he throws the ball forward and sends out his Magmortar. The moment the mon appears it has a smile on its face and looks at Blaze with Blaze looking at it as Ash speaks.
"So, your Magmar evolved into a Magmortar" Ash says with Kiawe nodding as he speaks.
"Yes, and he'll be the one to take down Blaze" Kiawe says as Ash speaks.
"We'll see about that Blaze I know you're tired but I'm keeping you in" Ash says with Blaze nodding as he gets in a battle stance with Magmortar doing the same. Kukui calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.
"Let's attack first Blaze! Use Drill Run!" Ash calls Blaze nods as he becomes a drill and shoots forward heading for Magmortar as Kiawe calls for a command.
"Slow him down with Rock Tomb!" Kiawe calls Magmortar, points its right arm forward and summons multiple large rocks that stand in Blaze's way as Ash speaks.
"Pierce threw them Blaze!" Ash calls as Blaze begins to easily pierce through the rocks. Once Blaze destroys the last one, he goes to hit Magmortar as Kiawe speaks.
"Now Magmortar use Psychic on yourself to fly in the air!" Kiawe calls with Magmortar nodding as the mon covers itself in psychic energy and flies in the air avoiding Blaze's attack. Blaze then stops himself as he looks up towards Magmortar Ash speaks.
"That's right I forgot that his Magmortar can fly by using Psychic." Ash says as off to the side Barry speaks.
"His Magmortar can fly?!" Barry says while having a surprised look on his face as Tracey speaks.
"It's like with Ash's Clefable" Tracey says as Misty speaks.
"Kiawe was originally the one who used this tactic, and Ash tried it with his Clefable" Misty says with Tracey nodding as Nemona speaks.
"So! Cool!" Nemona says with stars in her eyes. Back on the battlefield Magmortar points its arms forward as Kiawe speaks.
"Now Magmortar use Flame Burst!" Kiawe calls with Magmortar nodding as it begins to fire multiple balls of fire towards Blaze Ash speaks.
"Blaze dodge!" Ash calls with Blaze nodding as he begins to run around the battlefield doing his best to dodge the attacks. As Blaze continues to dodge Kiawe looks at where Blaze's running to closely as he sees his chance and calls for a command.
"Now Magmortar fire a Flame Burst in front of Blaze!" Kiawe calls with Magmortar nodding as it quickly fires a ball of fire that lands in front of Blaze creating an explosion and sending Blaze high into the air as Kiawe speaks.
"Now grab him with Psychic!" Kiawe calls Magmortar quickly fires the waves of psychic energy that manage to grab Blaze surprising Ash as he speaks.
"Blaze get out of there!" Ash calls Blaze tries but can't as the Psychic is holding onto him tightly. Blaze also groans in pain from the super effective attack as he then looks forward and sees Magmortar pointing both of its arms forward Kiawe speaks.
"Now use Fire Blast!" "Look out Blaze!" Both trainers say as Magmortar fires a big blast of fire out of its arms that hit Blaze creating a big explosion along with a gust of wind. After that everyone sees Blaze appear out of the smoke and falls back on the battlefield while Magmortar safely lands on the ground. Everyone looks at Blaze and sees that he's unable to battle as Kukui speaks.
"Blaze the Tauros is unable to battle making Magmortar the winner!" Kukui says making Kiawe along with Magmortar happy. Off to the side Leaf speaks.
"Darn Blaze was defeated" Leaf says as Tracey speaks.
"Unfortunately, there was nothing that Blaze nor Ash could've done once Magmortar got Blaze in its Psychic attack." Tracey says with the others nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash returns Blaze back to his Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. Ash then puts the ball back on his belt as Kiawe speaks.
"And just like that we've both now lost two Pokémon." Kiawe says as Ash speaks.
"True we may be tied for now but not for long. Now! Skeledirge, I choose you!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and brings out his Skeledirge who lets out a roar then looks at Magmortar with Magmortar looking at him as Kiawe speaks.
"So, his next one's a Skeledirge" Kiawe says to himself as off to the side Nemona speaks.
"Wow I didn't know that Ash had a Skeledirge" Nemona says as Barry speaks.
"Yeah, back when it was a Crocalor it battled my Empoleon where it evolved and defeated him." Barry says with Nemona nodding as she speaks.
"Well, if Ash's Skeledirge defeated your Empoleon then he must have gotten a lot stronger since then" Nemona says as Barry speaks.
"True but I've also gotten stronger too" Barry says while having a confident smile on his face, but Nemona ignores him. Back on the battlefield Ash looks at Skeledirge and speaks.
"Skeledirge let's get revenge for Blaze by winning this battle!" Ash says with the fire croc nodding as Kiawe speaks.
"Magmortar I'm keeping you in" Kiawe says with the mon nodding. The 2 trainers along with the 2 mons continue to stare at each other until Kukui speaks.
"Let the battle continue!" Kukui calls as Kiawe speaks.
"Magmortar use Psychic!" Kiawe calls Magmortar's eyes glow as it fires the waves of psychic energy towards Skeledirge Ash speaks.
"Skeledirge destroy it with Crunch!" Ash calls Skeledirge covers his teeth in dark energy and bites down on the psychic waves easily destroying them. When Skeledirge does that he along with Ash see Magmortar pointing its right arm forward as Kiawe speaks.
"Now use Rock Tomb!" Kiawe, calls as Magmortar begins to fire multiple large rocks that head for Skeledirge as Ash calls for a command.
"Use Hyper Voice!" Ash calls Skeledirge lets out a loud voice that easily destroys the sharp stones and hit Magmortar causing damage to the mon as it begins to cover its ears Kiawe speaks.
"It has a powerful voice I'll need to get Magmortar away from it" Kiawe says to himself as he calls for his next command.
"Magmortar use Psychic on yourself and fly in the air!" Kiawe calls Magmortar nods as it quickly covers its body in psychic energy and flies in the air getting away from the voice. Now that Magmortar's in the air it points both of its arms forward as Kiawe speaks.
"Now use Flame Burst!" Kiawe calls Magmortar nods as it begins to fire multiple balls of fire that head for Skeledirge as Ash speaks.
"Skeledirge use Dig then Flame Charge!" Ash calls Skeledirge nods as he quickly digs underground allowing for him to dodge the Flame Burst as they hit the battlefield creating multiple explosions. Then a few seconds later Skeledirge appears out from the ground, covers his body in fire and heads for Magmortar as Ash speaks.
Skeledirge when you get close use Crunch!" "Magmortar dodge then use Rock Tomb!" Both trainers' call. Still heading for Magmortar Skeledirge covers his mouth in dark energy and goes to bite the mon but Magmortar manages to dodge by moving to the left. Magmortar then looks at Skeledirge, creates multiple large rocks around itself then fires them at Skeledirge as Ash speaks.
"Skeledirge use Torch Song to blow those away!" Ash calls as the fire bird that's on Skeledirge's nose turns into a microphone. Skeledirge then sings in it as suddenly a large fire bird appears out of it. The attack easily blows through the large rocks and hits Magmortar creating an explosion. When the explosion clears Magmortar's groaning in pain as Ash speaks.
"Now use Flame Charge!" "Dodge Magmortar!" Both trainers call unfortunately for Magmortar the mon can't dodge in time as Skeledirge covers his body in fire shoots forward and hits Magmortar hard on the stomach making the mon cough in pain. Skeledirge along with Magmortar are then sent crashing back down on the battlefield creating an explosion. Out of the explosion appears Skeledirge who was sent sliding back a few feet away. Then when the smoke clears everyone can see Magmortar laying on its back groaning in pain but then a few seconds later it stands back up again as Kiawe speaks.
"Good job Magmortar now use Rock Tomb!" Kiawe calls with Magmortar nodding as it's about to use the move Ash speaks.
"Sorry Kiawe but that's not going to happen. Skeledirge use Sing!" Ash calls as Skeledirge then begins to sing which reaches Magmortar and instantly puts the mon to sleep. Kiawe has a surprised look on his face as Ash speaks.
"Great now that Magmortar's asleep let's finish it off Skeledirge!" Ash says with Skeledirge roaring in agreement as Ash calls for his commands.
"Use Torch Song!" Ash calls the fire bird on Skeledirge's nose transforms into a microphone and the croc begins to sing in it. Suddenly a big fire bird appears from out of it and heads for Magmortar as Kiawe speaks.
"Magmortar dodge!" Kiawe calls but the mon can't as it's still asleep. A couple seconds later the fire bird collides with Magmortar and creates an explosion as Kiawe speaks.
"Magmortar!" Kiawe calls out to the mon as out of the smoke appears Magmortar the mon flies back a few feet away until it falls on the ground landing on its back. Everyone looks at Magmortar and can see that it's knocked out as Kukui speaks.
"Magmortar's unable to battle Skeledirge's the winner!" Kukui says making Ash along with Pikachu, and Skeledirge cheer in victory (Skeledirge's special attack power also increased). Off to the side Misty, Tracey, Leaf, Nemona, and Barry cheer for Ash. Back on the battlefield Kiawe returns Magmortar back to its Pokeball and tells the mon thank you as Ash speaks.
"See Kiawe I told you that we wouldn't stay tied for long and now we just need to defeat your last 3 Pokémon and we'll win!" Ash says with Pikachu and Skeledirge agreeing with him as Kiawe speaks.
"That may be true but my last 3 won't be easy to defeat and my next Pokémon will showcase that." Kiawe says holding his next Pokeball he's about to throw it and speaks.
"Marowak it's your turn!" Kiawe says as he throws the ball forward and sends out his Alolan Marowak. Once the mon appears it has a serious look on its face and glares at Skeledirge with the fire croc glaring back as Ash speaks.
"So, next is his Alolan Marowak." Ash says to himself as he looks at Skeledirge and speaks.
"Skeledirge Marowak's strong and make sure to watch out for its speed!" Ash says with the fire croc nodding as he readies himself. Kukui calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.
"We'll go first Skeledirge use Sing!" Ash calls with Skeledirge nodding as he begins to sing Kiawe speaks.
"We're not falling for that! Marowak use Bonemerang!" Kiawe calls Marowak nods as it quickly throws its bone forward and hits Skeledirge in the face making the mon stop singing as Kiawe speaks.
"Now run forward!" Kiawe calls as Marowak begins to run forward heading for Skeledirge Ash calls for a command.
"Skeledirge stop it with Shadow Ball!" Ash calls Skeledirge creates a ball of ghostly energy and fires it at Marowak as Kiawe speaks.
"Marowak use Swords Dance and break through it with Flame Wheel!" Kiawe calls Marowak sharply increases its attack power as it then covers its body in green fire becoming a flaming wheel, shoots forward and easily destroys the Shadow Ball. Marowak keeps going until it hits Skeledirge in the face causing damage to the mon as Ash speaks.
"Now Skeledirge use Crunch!" "Marowak jump in the air to dodge!" Both trainers' call. Skeledirge covers his teeth in dark energy and goes to bite Marowak, but the mon manages to jump in the air avoiding the attack. Marowak then catches its bone with its right hand and begins falling towards Skeledirge as Kiawe speaks.
"Now use Bone Rush!" "Skeledirge use Dig to dodge!" Both trainers' call. As Marowak continues to fall it summons another bone with its left hand and goes to hit Skeledirge. Skeledirge quickly digs underground and avoids the attack making Marowak miss as it lands back on the ground. Marowak then feels something underneath it as Kiawe speaks.
"Back away Marowak!" Kiawe calls Marowak quickly jumps back as Skeledirge appears from the ground. Skeledirge then looks at Marowak as Ash speaks.
"Now Skeledirge use Torch Song!" Ash calls the fire bird on Skeledirge's nose turns into a microphone Skeledirge then sings into it as a big flaming bird appears and heads for Marowak. Marowak looks at the flaming bird and grips its bone tightly as Kiawe speaks.
"Marowak use Shadow Bone!" Kiawe calls Marowak's bone is now covered in green ghostly fire as it then connects with the attack. Once Marowak does the flaming bird starts to slowly push Marowak back as Ash speaks.
"That's it Skeledirge keep going!" "Pika!" Ash along with Pikachu cheer as Skeledirge continues to sing increasing the power of his attack making it stronger. Now that the attack is stronger it begins to overpower Marowak making it harder for the mon as Kiawe speaks.
"Marowak push it back I know you can!" Kiawe calls with Marowak nodding as it begins to increase the strength of its bone allowing it to slowly push the flaming bird back as Kiawe speaks.
"That's it Marowak now send it back!" Kiawe calls as Marowak lets out a loud "Maro!" and successfully sends the flaming bird back to Skeledirge which surprises Ash along with the croc. Just when Ash's about to tell Skeledirge to dodge the attack hits Skeledirge creating an explosion. When the explosion clears everyone can see Skeledirge having some scratches on his body and groaning in pain as Ash speaks.
"Skeledirge are you okay?!" Ash asks with the mon nodding as suddenly Marowak appears in front of him Ash quickly calls for a command.
"Skeledirge use Shadow Claw!" "Dodge Marowak and use Bone Rush!" Both trainers' call. Skeledirge covers his right claws in shadow energy and goes to hit Marowak, but the mon quickly jumps back dodging the attack. Marowak then summons another bone in its left hand as it then shoots forward and begins to hit Skeledirge repeatedly with its bones with each hit doing more than the last. Marowak then hits Skeledirge one more time making the mon groan in pain as Ash speaks.

"Now use Shadow Bone!" Kiawe calls Marowak covers its bone in green ghostly fire and begins falling towards Skeledirge as Ash speaks.
"Skeledirge counter with Torch Song!" Ash calls Skeledirge quickly sings and fires a big flaming bird at Marowak as Kiawe speaks.
"Dodge Marowak!" Kiawe calls Marowak moves to the left easily dodging the attack and continues falling towards Skeledirge as Kiawe speaks.
"Do it Marowak!" Kiawe calls as Marowak lets out a loud "Maro!" and hits Skeledirge hard on the head with its bone knocking the mon into the ground and creating a dust cloud as Ash speaks.
"Skeledirge!" Ash calls in worry as when the dust clears everyone can see Marowak standing while looking at an unconscious Skeledirge. Kukui then makes the call.
"Skeledirge's unable to battle Marowak's the winner!" Kukui says as off to the side Lana, Lillie, and Burnet let out a cheer. Back on the battlefield Ash returns Skeledirge back to his Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. He then puts the ball back on his belt as he then looks forward and begins to think.
"His Marowak's as fast as ever I'll need to use a Pokémon that can not only match its speed but also cause super effective damage and my next one will do just that." Ash says to himself as he looks at his next Pokeball he then throws it forward and speaks.
"Ceruledge, I choose you!" Ash says as Ceruledge appears out of her Pokeball. When she does, she has a serious look on her face and looks at Marowak with Marowak looking at her. Off to the side Misty speaks.
"Ash's using Ceruledge next" Misty says as Tracey speaks.
"This is good because not only will Ceruledge match Marowak in terms of speed but also has moves that are super effective against it." Tracey says with the group nodding as back on the battlefield Kiawe looks at Ceruledge and begins to think.
"I can sense a lot of power from this one." Kiawe says to himself as he looks at Marowak and speaks.
"Marowak be careful this one's strong" Kiawe says with Marowak nodding as Ash speaks.
"I'm counting on you Ceruledge!" Ash says with the mon nodding as she along with Marowak get into battle stances. Kukui calls for the battle to continue as Ash and Kiawe speak.
"Ceruledge use Flame Charge!" "Marowak counter with Flame Wheel!" Both trainers call Ceruledge covers her body in purple fire while Marowak covers its body in green fire and becomes a flaming wheel. The 2 mons shoot forward and collide. They begin pushing each other back and forth trying to see who's stronger. A couple seconds later they then slide away from each other as Kiawe speaks.
"Bone Rush Marowak!" Kiawe calls Marowak manages to stop itself as it then jumps forward, creates another bone in its left hand and goes to hit Ceruledge with the two bones as Ash speaks.
"Block with Night Slash!" Ash calls Ceruledge covers her blade arms in dark energy as she then brings up her left blade and blocks Marowak's attack. Marowak then tries to overpower Ceruledge by pushing her down, but Ceruledge then goes to hit Marowak with her right blade as Kiawe speaks.
"Dodge Marowak then use Bonemerang!" Kiawe calls Marowak does a backflip and dodges Ceruledge's attack. Marowak lands a couple feet away as it then throws its bone forward heading for Ceruledge as Ash speaks.
"Knock it away Ceruledge!" Ash calls Ceruledge swings her right blade and easily knocks the bone away. When she does that Marowak appears in front of her and has its head ready as Kiawe speaks.
"Now Iron Head!" Kiawe calls before Ash can call for a command Marowak covers its head in steel energy and hits Ceruledge hard in the face causing some damage to the mon. Ceruledge then looks at Marowak and has her right blade ready as Ash speaks.
"Now use Night Slash!" Ash call Ceruledge's right blade glows in dark energy as she then jabs Marowak hard in the stomach making the mon cough in pain as it's then sent crashing back on the battlefield a few feet away creating a dust cloud as Kiawe speaks.
"Marowak!" Kiawe calls in worry as when the dust clears everyone can see Marowak laying on its back groaning in pain but then a few seconds later it stands back up, catches its bone with its right hand, and looks at Ceruledge. Kiawe lets out a relief sigh as he then looks at Ceruledge, sees that a piece of her armor broke, and she glows slightly. Kiawe has a confused look on his face and before he can say anything Ash speaks.
"Okay Ceruledge use Night Shade!" Ash calls Ceruledge's eyes glow as she fires two crimson beams of ghostly energy at Marowak Kiawe speaks.
"Jump in the air to dodge Marowak!" Kiawe calls Marowak quickly jumps in the air and dodges the attack. But once it does Ceruledge appears in front of the mon surprising Kiawe and Marowak. Ceruledge has her blades ready as Ash speaks.
"Now use Night Slash!" Ash calls before Kiawe can call for a command Ceruledge covers both of her blades in dark energy and slashes Marowak causing super effective damage sending the mon flying as Kiawe speaks.
"Marowak use Bonemerang!" Kiawe calls Marowak quickly readjusts itself, throws its bone forward and hits Ceruledge hard across the face causing super effective damage. Kiawe then sees Ceruledge glow slightly again as he begins to think.
"It glowed again after taking a hit from Marowak's bone it must be an ability but what kind?" Kiawe says to himself as a few seconds later he gets an idea on what Ceruledge's ability is as Marowak lands back on the battlefield. Kiawe looks at the mon and speaks.
"Marowak run forward!" Kiawe calls with Marowak nodding as it begins to run forward heading for Ceruledge as Ash speaks.
"Ceruledge use Night Shade!" Ash calls Ceruledge quickly fires 2 crimson beams that head for Marowak as Kiawe speaks.
"Marowak jump, grab your bone then use Shadow Bone!" Kiawe, calls Marowak quickly jumps in the air dodging the 2 beams, grabs its bone and covers it in green ghostly energy. Marowak then begins falling towards Ceruledge and is about to hit her as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Ceruledge then use Night Slash!" Ash calls with the mon nodding as she quickly backs away making Marowak slam its bone hard on the battlefield causing it to shake. After that Ceruledge instantly appears right behind Marowak, her blades are covered in dark energy and goes to hit the mon as Kiawe speaks.
"So, Ceruledge does have that ability. Marowak quick block with your bone!" Kiawe calls with Marowak nodding as it quickly brings up its bone and blocks Ceruledge's slash which pushes it back a few feet. After that Marowak then looks at Ceruledge with Ceruledge looking at it as Ash speaks.
"Darn it blocked" Ash says as Kiawe speaks.
"I must say Ash I wasn't expecting your Ceruledge to have the Weak Armor ability" Kiawe says as Ash speaks.
"You know? When did you figure it out?" Ash asks as Kiawe speaks.
"At first when Marowak landed his first attack on Ceruledge I thought that I was seeing things but then after Marowak landed his second attack that's when I figured it out." Kiawe says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Not bad Kiawe and now that you know about Ceruledge's ability you know that her defense will be lower but her in exchange her speed increases." Ash says with Kiawe nodding as he speaks.
"Yes, I do and that makes things easier for us" Kiawe says making Ash confused as he speaks.
"What do you mean by that?" Ash asks as Kiawe smiles and speaks.
"Don't worry you'll see soon as we should continue. Marowak use Flame Wheel!" Kiawe calls Marowak becomes a green fire wheel and shoots towards Ceruledge as Ash speaks.
"Block Ceruledge then push Marowak away with Night Shade!" Ash calls Ceruledge quickly brings up her blade arms and blocks Marowak's attack. Marowak tries to push Ceruledge's blade arms away, but the mon looks at it her eyes glow as she fires two crimson beams that send Marowak high in the air as Kiawe speaks.
"Marowak use Flame Wheel then Shadow Bone!" Kiawe calls Marowak becomes a flaming wheel again and shoots down. As Marowak's getting closer to Ceruledge it stops being a wheel as it covers its bone in green ghostly energy and goes to hit Ceruledge as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Ceruledge then use Bitter Blade!" Ash calls Ceruledge quickly backs away as Marowak slams its bone hard on the battlefield. Once Ceruledge lands she covers her blades in purple fire and shoots forward reaching Marowak instantly. When Ceruledge goes to hit Marowak with her right blade Kiawe speaks.
"Now Marowak use Stomping Tantrum!" Kiawe calls as Marowak quickly punches the ground hard with its left fist causing it to shake. This causes Ceruledge to instantly stop as the move is causing super effective damage and lowering her speed as Kiawe speaks.
"Now Marowak use Bone Club!" Kiawe calls Marowak, jumps upward and uppercuts Ceruledge with its bone causing super effective damage to the mon as Kiawe calls for his next command.
"Now use Bone Rush!" "Ceruledge dodge!" Both trainers' call. Ceruledge's unable to dodge in time as Marowak shoots forward and begins to hit Ceruledge with its bone repeatedly with each hit doing more damage than the last. Marowak then hits Ceruledge one more time and sends her flying as she then crashes back on the battlefield a few feet away as Ash speaks.
"Ceruledge!" Ash calls in worry as he sees Ceruledge laying on her back groaning in pain she then feels her defense decrease while her speed increases as Kiawe speaks.
"Even though your Ceruledge does become faster thanks to her ability as long as I have an attack like Stomping Tantrum which can lower the opponents speed it's easy to deal with. Also, now that Ceruledge's defense has decreased by a lot I believe it's time we end this. Marowak use Swords Dance then Shadow Bone!" Kiawe calls Marowak sharply increases its attack power again its bone glows in green ghostly energy and jumps forward. Everyone looks on seeing Marowak getting closer and when Marowak's about to hit Ceruledge Ash smirks and speaks.
"Sorry to tell you this Kiawe but Ceruledge's ability isn't the only trick she has" Ash says making Kiawe confused as Ash speaks.
"Now Ceruledge use Phantom Force!" Ash calls "She knows Phantom Force?!" Kiawe says in surprise as a portal opens below Ceruledge and she goes in it allowing for her to dodge Marowak's attack as the mon slams its bone on the ground instead. After that Marowak begins to look for Ceruledge as a few seconds later a portal appears next to the mon Ceruledge appears out of it and hits Marowak causing super effective damage and sending the mon flying as it crashes on the battlefield a few feet away Ash then speaks.
"I bet you're wondering why I decided to use Phantom Force now as supposed to earlier, it's because I knew that at some point, you'd figure out Ceruledge's ability and then use a move that would slow Ceruledge down. Then when you went to finish the battle, I decided to reveal Phantom Force." Ash says as Kiawe looks at him and speaks.
"Don't you think that this was too big of a risk. What if Marowak defeated Ceruledge before you gave her the command to use Phantom Force?" Kiawe asks as Ash speaks.
"I thought of that too, but I knew that Ceruledge would pull through." Ash says with Ceruledge nodding making Kiawe smile as he speaks.
"You continue to think of crazy ideas but that's what I like about you and why I consider you as a rival" Kiawe says making Ash smile as he speaks.
"Thanks, and I believe it's time we put an end to this battle" Ash says with Kiawe agreeing with him as both boys then get serious looks on their faces as they call for their commands.
"Use Flame Charge!" "Counter with Flame Wheel!" The 2 boys call as the 2 mons cover their bodies in fire shoot forward and collide with each other. They push each other back and forth for a little bit until Marowak manages to push Ceruledge away Marowak then jumps towards Ceruledge and holds its bone tightly as Kiawe speaks.
"Marowak use Shadow Bone!" Kiawe calls Marowak covers its bone in green ghostly energy and goes to hit Ceruledge as Ash speaks.
"Counter with Bitter Blade!" Ash calls Ceruledge covers both of her blades in purple fire as she jumps forward too. The 2 mons then collide hitting each other and get behind their opponent. Once they land on the ground, they groan a little in pain then look at each other as the 2 boys speak.
"Now use Bone Rush!" "Night Slash Ceruledge!" The 2 boys call Marowak creates another bone while Ceruledge covers both of her blades in dark energy. The 2 mons shoot forward and collide. Once they do they continue to clash with each other, with both mons trying to hit their opponent. As they continue to do that off to the side the group continue to watch on in amazement as Lillie speaks.
"Even though they both want to win it looks like they're both having fun." Lillie says as Burnet speaks.
"That's the great thing about battles is that even though they can be dangerous at the same time as long as you have a rival to help push you it makes the battle more enjoyable" Burnet says with Lillie nodding as she continues to look forward and speak.
"Wow battles are amazing" Lillie says as she along with the others begin to cheer the 2 boys along with their Pokémon. Back on the battlefield Marowak and Ceruledge clash again then back away from each other. The 2 mons are panting heavily as Kiawe speaks.
"Marowak's getting tired I need to end this now." Kiawe says to himself as he calls for a command.
"Marowak use Bonemerang!" Kiawe calls Marowak throws its bone forward as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Ceruledge!" Ash calls Ceruledge quickly moves to the right and dodges the attack. When she does Marowak suddenly appears in front of her as Kiawe speaks.
"Now use Iron Head!" Kiawe calls Marowak covers its head in steel energy and hits Ceruledge hard in the face causing damage to her and making her groan in pain. After that Marowak jumps in the air, catches its bone, and holds it tightly as Kiawe speaks.
"Now let's finish this Marowak! Use Shadow Bone!" Kiawe calls Marowak lets out a loud "Maro!" it covers its bone in green ghostly energy shoots downward and goes to hit Ceruledge as Ash speaks.
"Phantom Force Ceruledge!" Ash calls before the bone can hit Ceruledge a portal opens behind her, and she goes in causing Marowak to miss. Suddenly a portal appears on Marowak's right side the mon looks at it and sees Ceruledge appear out of it with her blades ready as Kiawe speaks.
"Marowak quick get out of there!" "Too Late! Ceruledge use Night Slash!" Both trainers' call. Marowak's unable to dodge in time as Ceruledge covers her blades in dark energy shoots forward and slashes Marowak appearing on Marowak's left side. Marowak groans in pain, the mon then falls on the ground creating a small dust cloud as Kiawe speaks.
"Marowak!" Kiawe calls in worry as Ceruledge pants a little bit she then along with everyone else look at where Marowak fell and see the mon laying on its stomach knocked out. Kukui then makes the call.
"Marowak's unable to battle Ceruledge's the winner!" Kukui calls making Ash smile as he speaks.
"Alright!" "Pika!" Along with Pikachu cheer while Ceruledge smiles. Off to the side Misty, Leaf, Tracey, Nemona, and Barry cheer as Tracey speaks.
"I was worried there a few times, but Ceruledge managed to win" Tracey says with the others nodding as Nemona speaks.
"Amazing! Simply Amazing! I want to battle Ash's Ceruledge again after this!" Nemona says with stars in her eyes. Back on the battlefield Kiawe's sad that Marowak lost but smiles as he returns the mon, back to its Pokeball, tells it thank you and to get a good rest. Kiawe then looks forward and sees Ash celebrating with his Pokémon as Ash speaks.
"Great job Ceruledge I knew you could do it!" Ash says with Ceruledge nodding as Kiawe speaks.
"Not bad Ash but don't celebrate too early as I've two Pokémon left" Kiawe says as Ash looks at him and speaks.
"Yep, I know and let me guess your last two Pokémon are Turtonator and Fletchinder who's probably a Talonflame now, right?" Ash asks as Kiawe speaks.
"Well, you're right about the fact that Turtonator is one of my last two and my Fletchinder did indeed evolve into a Talonflame. But I'm sorry to inform you that I don't have Talonflame with me and instead have another Pokémon and it's stronger than Talonflame." Kiawe responds as Ash speaks.
"Really, it's stronger than Talonflame? Heh well that's fine with us the more challenging the better and it doesn't matter want kind of Pokémon it is because mine will still beat it!" Ash states while having a confident look on his face with Pikachu and Ceruledge agreeing with him. Kiawe looks at them smiles and speaks.
"Well let's see if you still believe that once you see it" Kiawe says as he brings out his next Pokeball. He then gets a serious look on his face and speaks.
"Now! It's time for you to appear!" Kiawe says as he throws the ball forward and the ball opens. Once it does what appears is a Charizard the mon lets out a mighty roar creating a big shockwave that pushes not just Ash, Pikachu, and Ceruledge back but the others watching as well. Once Charizard is done roaring it then looks at Ceruledge as Ash, Pikachu, and Ceruledge look at the mon. Off to the side Misty speaks.
"I didn't know that Kiawe had a Charizard" Misty says while having a surprised look on her face as Leaf speaks.
"And look at all of those scars on not just on its body but wings too" Leaf says as Tracey speaks.
"It must've been through a lot of battles" Tracey says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash continues to look at the mon he then breaks away from his shock and speaks.
"I didn't know that you had a Charizard Kiawe I have to say I'm surprised." Ash says as Kiawe speaks.
"Yes, I can see that surprised look on your face." Kiawe says as Ash speaks.
"Wait but if you have a Charizard how come you didn't use it back in the SS. Anne tournament?" Ash asks as Kiawe speaks.
"Well, you see I've only recently obtained Charizard as he originally belonged to my late grandpa who passed away a couple years ago. The reason why I didn't use Charizard back then is mainly because back on Akala Island he helps me make my morning deliveries of Moomoo Milk and needed to stay there to continue those deliveries." Kiawe responds with Ash nodding as Ash speaks.
"So, what made you start using Charizard now?" Ash asks as Kiawe speaks.
"Well, you see while watching your Charizard battle in the Kanto league he got the urge to battle again so he decided to become my new Pokémon and we've been training together ever since." Kiawe responds with Ash nodding as Kiawe continues to speak.
"Also, even though Charizard's old he's still powerful so you better not underestimate him Ash as he was once owned by a Kahuna of Akala Island" Kiawe says as the fire lizard lets out a roar as Ash begins to think.
"Kiawe's right from just looking at it I can feel just how strong this Charizard is and he's even a little bigger than mine" Ash says to himself as he then looks at Ceruledge and sees her panting heavily as Ash speaks.
"Ceruledge, do you want to take a break?" Ash asks as Ceruledge declines saying that she wants to continue with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Okay Ceruledge let's do this!" Ash says with Ceruledge nodding as she gets in a battle stance Kiawe speaks.
"Are you sure about this Ash? Because Ceruledge isn't going to last long" Kiawe asks as Ash speaks.
"Yep, I'm sure" Ash responds with Kiawe nodding as he speaks.
"I see well in that case we'll just have to defeat her quickly then" Kiawe says while having a serious look on his face as Charizard gets into a battle stance. Kukui calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.
"Okay Ceruledge use Phantom Force!" Ash calls with Ceruledge nodding as she summons a portal behind her Kiawe speaks.
"Fire Punch" Kiawe says with the fire lizard nodding as it heats up its right fist shoots forward at blinding speed and punches Ceruledge hard in the face before she could enter the portal. Ceruledge groans in pain as she's then sent flying going pass Ash and Pikachu until she hits the wall behind them causing it to crack as Ash looks back and speaks.
"Ceruledge!" Ash calls in worry as he along with everyone else can see that Ceruledge's stuck in the wall and is knocked out Kukui then makes the call.
"Ceruledge is unable to battle Charizard's the winner!" Kukui says Kiawe nods while Charizard roars in victory. Ash along with Pikachu, Misty, Tracey, Leaf, Nemona, and Barry all have surprised looks on their faces as Leaf speaks.
"It took out Ash's Ceruledge in just one hit" Leaf says as Tracey speaks.
"I know that Ceruledge was already tired from her battle against Marowak, but I didn't think she'd go down that fast." Tracey says as Barry speaks.
"That speed was unreal I couldn't even see it" Barry says as Nemona speaks.
"This Charizard's going to give Ash a lot of trouble" Nemona says with the group nodding as Misty continues to look at the battlefield. Back on the battlefield Ash along with Pikachu are still surprised as Ash then recomposes himself pulls out Ceruledge's Pokeball and returns her. Once he does that, he tells Ceruledge thank you and to get a good rest as he puts the ball back on his belt. Ash then looks forward and looks at Charizard as he begins to think.
"So, this is the power of a previous Kahuna's Charizard if I'm being honest, he feels even stronger than Ritche's Zippo" Ash says to himself as Kiawe speaks.
"So, Ash what do you think?" Kiawe asks as Ash speaks.
"I have to say Kiawe you were right about Charizard being strong. So, in order to defeat it I'll use a Pokémon that should match it in strength!" Ash says as he holds his next Pokeball forward Kiawe speaks.
"So does this mean that you're finally bringing him out?" Kiawe asks with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Yep, and I'm confident that he'll win! Now Charizard I Choose You!" Ash says as he throws the ball high into the air and brings out his Charizard. Once the mon appears Charizard lands on the battlefield and lets out a mighty roar creating a big shockwave that creates a small gust of wind. Kiawe along with his Charizard are unfazed as once Ash's Charizard is done he looks at Kiawe's Charizard and can feel a lot of power from it. Off to the side Misty speaks.
"Ash has finally brought out Charizard hopefully he's able to win" Misty says with Tracey, Leaf, and Barry nodding as Nemona speaks.
"I've never seen a battle between 2 Charizard's in real life before this is going to be amazing!" Nemona says while having an excited look on her face. Back on the battlefield Kiawe looks at Ash's Charizard smiles and speaks.
"I must say I can feel just how much he's grown since I last saw him back on the SS. Anne and watching him battle in the Kanto league" Kiawe says as Ash speaks.
"Thanks, and he's going to defeat your Charizard!" Ash says with Charizard roaring in agreement as Kiawe speaks.
"That remains to be seen as my Charizard will win" Kiawe says while having a serious look on his face with his Charizard roaring too as it along with Ash's get into battle stances. The 2 mons along with the 2 trainers stare at each other in silence it continues to stay silent until Kukui speaks.
"Let the battle continue!" Kukui says as both boys call for a command.
"Use Flamethrower!" Both boys call as the 2 fire lizards heat up their mouths and fire Flamethrowers at each other which collide. The 2 streams of fire begin pushing each other back and forth trying to overpower the other. A few seconds later Kiawe's Charizard's Flamethrower manages to overpower Ash's and goes to hit the mon as Ash speaks.
"Charizard fly in the air to dodge!" Ash calls Charizard quickly flies in the air and dodges the stream of fire. Once he does, he looks down towards Kiawe's Charizard and has his wings ready as Ash speaks.
"Charizard use Air Slash!" Ash calls his Charizard roars as his wings glow blue and begins firing multiple slashes of wind that head for Kiawe's Charizard as Kiawe speaks.
"Hyper Beam!" Kiawe calls his Charizard roars as it fires a large orange beam that easily destroys the slashes of wind and heads for Ash's Charizard as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Charizard!" Ash calls his Charizard quickly moves to the left and dodges the attack. Once he does suddenly Kiawe's Charizard appears in front of him and is clenching its right fist as Kiawe speaks.
"Now use Fire Punch!" Kiawe calls his Charizard covers its right fist in fire and punches Ash's Charizard hard across the face causing damage to the mon. Ash's Charizard groans in pain as he then looks at Kiawe's Charizard as Ash speaks.
"Hit it back with Thunder Punch!" Ash calls his Charizard covers his left fist in electricity and punches Kiawe's Charizard hard in the face causing some damage to the mon. Kiawe's Charizard groans a little in pain as it then sees Ash's Charizard covering his mouth in purple draconic energy as Ash speaks.
"Now use Dragon Pulse!" "Block Charizard!" Both trainers call Ash's Charizard roars as he fires a big Dragon Pulse at Kiawe's Charizard. Kiawe's Charizard quickly brings up its arms as it's then pushed back down on the battlefield creating an explosion. When the explosion clears Kiawe's Charizard is fine as it then looks up in the air and sees Ash's Charizard heading for it as Ash speaks.
"Charizard fire another Dragon Pulse!" Ash calls his Charizard roars and fires another Dragon Pulse at the mon as Kiawe speaks.
"Back away Charizard!" Kiawe calls his Charizard quickly flies back as he dodges the Dragon Pulse letting it hit the battlefield instead. After that Ash's Charizard continues to fly after Kiawe's Charizard as Kiawe speaks.
"Now Charizard use Rockslide!" Kiawe calls his Charizard roars as it summons multiple large boulders around it and launches them at Ash's Charizard as Ash speaks.
"Charizard use Steel Wing and Metal Claw!" Ash calls his Charizard roars as he covers both of his wings and claws in steel energy and begins to easily destroy the large boulders. Once Ash's Charizard does that he's now getting closer to Kiawe's Charizard who's heating up its mouth with Ash's Charizard doing the same as both trainers speak.
"Use Flamethrower!" The 2 boys call as both Charizard's roar and fire the stream of fire at each other creating an explosion. Out of the explosion appear the 2 mons who are now flying high in the air. Once they get high enough, they look at each other as Ash speaks.
"Use Thunder Punch!" Ash calls his Charizard covers both of his fists in electricity and goes to hit Kiawe's with his left fist as Kiawe speaks.
"Dodge Charizard!" Kiawe calls as his Charizard quickly moves to the right and avoids Ash's Charizard as Ash speaks.
"Now use Dragon Tail!" Ash calls his Charizard, covers his tail in green dragon energy and goes to hit Kiawe's Charizard as Kiawe speaks.
"Grab it Charizard!" Kiawe calls as his Charizard manages to grab Ash's Charizard's tail with both of his hands causing the move to stop as Kiawe speaks.
"Now throw it down towards the battlefield!" Kiawe calls with his Charizard nodding as it begins to spin Ash's Charizard around making the fire lizard dizzy then once it's done spinning it then throws Ash's Charizard back towards the battlefield as Ash speaks.
"Charizard lift yourself up!" Ash calls just when his Charizard's about to hit the battlefield the fire lizard manages to safely lift himself back up in time making Ash along with Pikachu let out a relief sigh as Kiawe speaks.
"Now Rockslide!" Kiawe calls his Charizard roars as it summons multiple large boulders around itself and begins firing them down towards Ash's Charizard as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Charizard!" Ash calls with the fire lizard nodding as he begins to fly around the battlefield easily evading the large boulders. As Ash's Charizard continues to evade the boulders Kiawe speaks.
"Now use Mega Kick!" Kiawe calls his Charizard quickly descends down, stomps hard on Ash's Charizard's back with its right foot, and pushes the mon down on the battlefield as Ash speaks.
"Charizard!" Ash calls in worry as when the smoke clears everyone can see Kiawe's Charizard pinning Ash's Charizard down on the ground with its foot making Ash's Charizard groan in pain. Ash's Charizard then looks at Kiawe's Charizard and sees it charging up a Hyper Beam as Kiawe speaks.
"Fire Charizard!" "Charizard quick use Dig!" Both trainers call just when Kiawe's Charizard is about to fire the beam Ash's Charizard quickly digs underground which forces Kiawe's Charizard to stumble as it fires the beam at a nearby wall instead creating an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Now Charizard use Thunder Punch!" Ash calls as out from the ground appears his Charizard with his right fist covered in electricity as he upper cuts Kiawe's Charizard causing super effective damage to the mon as Ash speaks.
"Yes, that should've done some damage!" Ash says as Kiawe speaks.
'You think so?" Kiawe asks as his Charizard then looks at Ash's and has its mouth opened as Kiawe speaks.
"Now use Hyper Beam!" "Charizard block!" Both trainers' call. Ash's Charizard can't block in time as Kiawe's Charizard fires a point-blank Hyper Beam that hits Ash's Charizard creating an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Charizard!" Ash calls in worry as out of the smoke appears Ash's Charizard who falls on the ground landing on his back groaning in pain as Ash speaks.
"Charizard are you okay?!" Ash asks with the fire lizard nodding as he stands back up and looks at Kiawe's Charizard with the fire lizard looking at it as Ash begins to think.
"Man, this Charizard's strong after only landing a few attacks it's been able to do so much damage to Charizard this really isn't going to be easy" Ash says to himself as Kiawe speaks.
"If you won't come to us then we'll come to you. Charizard use Fire Punch!" Kiawe calls his Charizard roars as it covers its fists in fire shoots forward and reaches Ash's Charizard instantly. Kiawe's Charizard then goes to hit Ash's Charizard in the face with its right fist as Ash speaks.
"Charizard quick use Smokescreen!" Ash calls as his Charizard quickly fires a black cloud of smoke out of his mouth that hits Kiawe's Charizard in the face making the mon stop as it begins to cough. After that the entire battlefield is now covered in a cloud of black smoke as Ash speaks.
"Yes, and now it's time for our counterattack!" Ash says as Kiawe speaks.
"If you think this smoke is going to stop Charizard then you thought wrong. Charizard fly in the air to get out of the smoke!" Kiawe calls with his Charizard nodding as it quickly flies in the air and manages to easily get out of the smoke as Ash speaks.
"I'd knew you'd do that now Charizard use Dragon Pulse!" Ash calls as suddenly a big Dragon Pulse appears and hits Kiawe's Charizard creating an explosion as Kiawe thinks.
"I see so the Smokescreen was just a diversion as he knew I'd have Charizard instantly fly out of it" Kiawe says as up in the air the explosion clears and his Charizard groans a little in pain but then shakes its head as it then looks forward and sees Ash's Charizard in front of it as Ash speaks.
"Now Charizard use Thunder Punch!" Ash calls his Charizard covers his left fist in electricity and punches Kiawe's Charizard hard in the face causing super effective damage. Kiawe's Charizard then looks at Ash's as Kiawe speaks.
"Counter with Fire Punch!" Kiawe calls his Charizard, heats up its right fist and goes to punch Ash's Charizard as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Charizard then grab its arm and start flying high into the air!" Ash calls his Charizard moves to the left dodging the punch and then grabs the arm. Once Ash's Charizard does that he then begins to pull Kiawe's Charizard upward and flies high in the air as Kiawe speaks.
"Charizard stop it with Flamethrower!" Kiawe says when his Charizard goes to fire the move Ash speaks.
"I don't think so! Charizard use Seismic Toss!" Ash calls his Charizard roars as he begins to spin Kiawe's Charizard fast making the mon dizzy. Ash's Charizard continues to spin Kiawe's Charizard and once he's done spinning, he then throws Kiawe's Charizard down towards the battlefield as Tracey speaks.
"If Kiawe's Charizard hits the ground at that height it doesn't matter how strong it is as it'll cause a lot of damage." Tracey says as Misty speaks.
"Then this means that Ash has a good chance at winning." Misty says as Leaf speaks.
"Yeah! Go Ash and Charizard!" Leaf cheers along with Nemona and Barry. Meanwhile, back to the battle Kiawe's Charizard continues to fall and is getting closer to the ground as Ash speaks.
"Just a little bit more and we'll win this" Ash says to himself as Kiawe smiles and speaks.
"Sorry to ruin this for you Ash but this isn't going to work on my Charizard" Kiawe says making Ash look at him as he speaks.
"What makes you say that?" Ash asks as Kiawe speaks.
"Because of this move. Charizard use Aerial Ace!" Kiawe calls "It knows Aerial Ace?!" Ash says in surprise as when Kiawe's Charizard is just inches away from hitting the ground it suddenly disappears surprising Ash, Pikachu, and his Charizard. A few seconds later Kiawe's Charizard appears behind Ash's and hits the mon causing damage to him and making Ash's Charizard roar in pain as Ash speaks.
"It hit Charizard!" Ash says in surprise as his Charizard looks at Kiawe's as Ash speaks.
"Charizard use Thunder Punch!" "Dodge then use Fire Punch!" Both trainers call Ash's Charizard covers both of his fists in electricity and goes to punch Kiawe's Charizard but the mon dodges. Kiawe's Charizard then punches Ash's Charizard hard in the face with its right fist making Ash's Charizard groan in pain. Ash's Charizard then looks at Kiawe's Charizard who's heating up its body as Kiawe speaks.
"Now then I believe that it's time we end this with Charizard's strongest attack" Kiawe says as Ash speaks.
"Strongest attack? Wait you don't mean…" Ash says as Kiawe speaks.
"Yes, I do Now! Charizard use Blast Burn!" Kiawe calls his Charizard lets out a mighty roar as its body heats up more and more until it then fires a giant wave of heat out of its mouth that goes to hit Ash's Charizard as Ash speaks.
"Charizard quick use Inferno!" Ash calls but was too late as the Blast Burn hits Ash's Charizard consuming the mon as he roars in pain and is sent crashing back on the battlefield causing it to shake and create a strong wind as Ash speaks.
"CHARIZARD!" Ash calls in worry as Kiawe's Charizard flies down and lands on the battlefield with steam coming out of its body as it looks forward to see the results. Everyone looks forward too as when the smoke clears, they see Ash's Charizard laying on his back groaning in pain. Ash's Charizard lifts up his head and looks at Kiawe's Charizard. Charizard wants to continue fighting but can't as he then lays his head back down and closes his eyes showcasing that he can't battle anymore. Kukui then makes the call.
"Ash's Charizard is unable to battle making Kiawe's Charizard the winner!" Kukui says as Kiawe's Charizard lets out a mighty roar in victory while Kiawe smiles. Meanwhile Ash, Pikachu, Misty, Leaf, Tracey, Nemona, and Barry all have surprised looks on their faces as Misty speaks.
"No way Ash's Charizard lost?" Misty says in shock as Leaf speaks.
"I don't believe it" Leaf says as Barry speaks.
"Back when I watched its battles in the Kanto league it took a lot for Ash's Charizard to be defeated." Barry says with Nemona nodding as Tracey speaks.
"This just goes to show just how strong Kiawe's Charizard is." Tracey says with the group nodding as back on the battlefield Ash along with Pikachu still have surprised looks on their faces as Ash speaks.
"Charizard lost?..." Ash says in shock as he then breaks out of it as he along with Pikachu quickly run on the battlefield and head towards the fire lizard. Once they get close enough Ash gently lifts up Charizard's head as the fire lizard looks at Ash and Pikachu telling them sorry as Ash speaks.
"It's okay Charizard you did your best we just didn't expect Kiawe's Charizard to be so strong" Ash says with the fire lizard nodding. Ash then feels one of his Pokeball's wriggle as Torracat appears out of its ball. The fire cat looks at Charizard asking if he's okay with the fire lizard saying that he is. Charizard then tells Torracat that it's up to him now, Torracat nods and lets out a "Torra" saying that he'll make sure to win. Charizard smiles as Ash then returns the fire lizard back to his ball, once Ash does that, he tells Charizard thank you then looks at Torracat with the fire cat nodding. Ash along with Pikachu then go back to their side of the battlefield as Kiawe speaks.
"So, Ash you think your Torracat will be able to defeat my Charizard and Turtonator?" Kiawe asks as Ash speaks.
"Yes, I do believe that because Torracat's going to get revenge for both Charizard and Ceruledge!" Ash says with Torracat roaring in agreement. Kiawe looks at Torracat and sees the fire in his eyes as he then speaks.
"Very well then let us continue" Kiawe says with Charizard getting in a battle stance as Ash speaks.
"Yes lets" Ash says as Torracat also gets in a battle stance. A couple seconds later Kukui calls for the battle to continue as Kiawe speaks.
"Charizard use Aerial Ace!" Kiawe calls as the fire lizard shoots forward reaching Torracat instantly as Ash speaks.
"Use Protect!" Ash calls Torracat quickly summons a protective barrier and blocks Charizard's attack. Once Torracat does that he notices the barrier starting to crack as Kiawe speaks.
"Break it Charizard!" "Torracat jump in the air!" Both trainers' call. Just when Charizard's about to break the barrier Torracat quickly jumps in the air and Charizard then destroys the barrier but misses Torracat. Charizard then looks in the air and sees Torracat's bell appendage heating up as Ash speaks.
"Now Torracat use Fire Blast!" Ash calls as a big blast of fire appears out of the bell and Torracat slaps it with his right paw sending it towards Charizard as Kiawe speaks.
"Punch it back with Fire Punch!" Kiawe calls as Charizard heats up its left fist and collides with the blast of fire. The Fire Blast tries to push Charizard back but the fire lizard roars and sends the attack back toward Torracat as Ash speaks.
"Torracat dodge then use Flame Charge!" Ash calls Torracat quickly descends back down towards the battlefield and dodges the blast of fire. Once Torracat safely lands he covers his body in fire and shoots towards Charizard hitting the fire lizard hard in the stomach and making the mon cough a little in pain. Charizard then gets its right fist ready as Kiawe speaks.
"Now use Fire Punch!" "Torracat dodge!" Both trainers call Charizard heats up its right fist and goes to upper cut Torracat, but the fire cat does a backflip and dodges the attack. Torracat then lands a few feet away with Charizard looking at him as Kiawe speaks.
"Now use Rockslide!" Kiawe calls Charizard lets out a mighty roar as it summons multiple large boulders around itself and launches them towards Torracat as Ash speaks.
"Torracat use Flame Charge to dodge!" Ash calls Torracat covers his body in fire as he begins to run around the battlefield doing his best to dodge the large boulders. As Torracat continues to dodge suddenly Charizard appears in front of him and has its right foot ready as Kiawe speaks.
"Now use Mega Kick!" Kiawe calls as before Ash can call for a command Charizard's right foot glows as it kicks Torracat upward sending him towards the sky. Charizard then flies after Torracat and once it reaches him the fire lizard has its right fist ready as Kiawe speaks.
"Now use Fire Punch!" "Torracat use Protect!" Both trainers' call. Torracat's unable to use Protect in time as Charizard covers its right fist in fire and punches Torracat hard in the stomach making the mon cough in pain as he's then sent crashing down on the battlefield creating a dust cloud as Ash speaks.
"Torracat!" Ash calls in worry as when the dust clears it showcases Torracat laying on the ground groaning in pain as Charizard then lands back on the battlefield. A couple seconds later Torracat stands back up and glares at Charizard as Kiawe speaks.
"So, he can still fight well then let's see how he'll do against this. Charizard use Blast Burn!" Kiawe calls Charizard roars as its body begins to heat up more and more as Ash speaks.
"It's doing another one?! Torracat you can't get hit by that you need to dodge!" Ash calls Torracat continues to look forward as once Charizard's done charging up the attack Kiawe speaks.
"Fire Charizard!" Kiawe calls Charizard roars as it fires a giant wave of fire out of its mouth that heads for Torracat. Off to the side the group can feel just how hot the flames are, back on the battlefield Ash speaks.
"Torracat quick jump in the air to dodge!" Ash calls but Torracat doesn't listen to Ash as he continues to look at the attack that took down Ash's Charizard Ash speaks.
"Torracat dodge before it's too late!" "Pika!" Ash along with Pikachu say as suddenly Torracat runs forward and collides with the Blast Burn surprising everyone as Ash speaks.
"Torracat?!" Ash says in surprise as everyone sees Torracat doing his best to push the attack back as Kiawe speaks.
"Just what is he doing?" Kiawe questions as over on Ash's side Ash looks at Torracat and has a confused look on his face. Ash continues to look as he sees that some of the Blast Burn is starting to be absorbed into Torracat's bell appendage that's glowing. Ash now sees what Torracat's doing smiles and speaks.
"Okay Torracat I get it now keep going!" Ash cheers with Torracat nodding as he begins to roar. Off to the side everyone continues to look having surprised looks on their faces as Misty speaks.
"What is Ash doing doesn't he know that Torracat's going to lose if he doesn't get him out of there?" Misty asks with the others wondering too. Meanwhile, with Nemona she's silent and continues to watch. As Nemona continues to watch she sees what Ash's seeing smiles and speaks.
"So, that's what they're doing" Nemona says while having a smile on her face. Back on the battlefield Torracat continues to roar as Kiawe speaks.
"I don't get it why is Ash happy that Torracat collided with the Blast Burn?" Kiawe says as he then looks closely at Torracat then looks at his bell appendage. Once Kiawe looks at it he sees that the Blast Burn is starting to get absorbed into the bell, Kiawe gets a surprised look on his face as he speaks.
"No way" Kiawe says as Ash speaks.
"That's it Torracat keep going until you completely absorb that Blast Burn!" Ash calls with Torracat roaring as a few seconds later everyone starts to see the Blast Burn being absorbed into Torracat's bell. A few seconds later the bell absorbs the Blast Burn completely as Ash speaks.
"You did it Torracat!" Ash says with Torracat nodding as he begins to pant Kiawe speaks.
"That's impossible" Kiawe says while having a surprised look on his face as off to the side Barry speaks.
"So, I'm not the only one that saw Torracat absorb a Blast Burn right?" Barry asks with the others nodding as Barry speaks.
"Okay good so I'm not seeing things" Barry says while having a dumbfounded look on his face. Meanwhile, with Kukui he smiles and thinks.
"That was one crazy move." Kukui says to himself as back on the battlefield Ash speaks.
"Let's see since Torracat absorbed the Blast Burn I'm going to call this form Blast Torracat" Ash says as Kiawe speaks.
"Blast Torracat?" Kiawe says as Ash speaks.
"Yep" Ash responds as off to the side Misty speaks.
"Really that's what he's calling this?" Misty says as Leaf speaks.
"Well, it's kind of creative" Leaf says as Lana speaks.
"If it was me, I'd rather call this Torraburn" Lana says as everyone looks at her. Meanwhile, back on the battlefield Torracat begins to pant heavily as Kiawe speaks.
"Looks like absorbing Charizard's Blast Burn was too much for Torracat" Kiawe says as Ash looks at the fire cat and sees him panting heavily as Ash speaks.
"True but this still isn't enough to stop Torracat!" Ash responds as a couple seconds later Torracat stops panting as he glares at Charizard with the fire lizard looking at him as Kiawe speaks.
"I see so he managed to control it" Kiawe says as he then looks at Charizard and sees steam coming out of its body after using the Blast Burn Kiawe then thinks.
"Now that Charizard used Blast Burn he won't be able to move for a little bit" Kiawe says to himself as Ash speaks.
"Okay let's continue! Torracat use Flame Charge!" Ash calls Torracat roars as he covers his body in fire shoots forward and hits Charizard hard in the stomach making the fire lizard cough in pain. After that Charizard's recharge period ends as it looks at Torracat and opens its mouth as Kiawe speaks.
"Now Charizard use Flamethrower!" "Torracat dodge!" Both trainers call when Charizard fires the stream of fire Torracat quickly jumps back and lands on the battlefield a few feet away. Torracat looks at Charizard as Kiawe speaks.
"Use Rockslide!" Kiawe calls Charizard roars as it summons multiple large boulders around itself and fires them towards Torracat as Ash speaks.
"Torracat blow pass them with Flame Charge!" Ash calls Torracat roars as he covers his body in fire again and shoots forward. Now that Torracat absorbed the Blast Burn his body is a lot hotter making his Flame Charge stronger and Torracat goes so fast that he not only knocks the boulders away but also burns them completely surprising Kiawe and the others. After that Torracat rams his head hard into Charizard's stomach again causing more damage and making the fire lizard slide back a few feet away. Once Charizard stops itself it then looks at Torracat as Kiawe speaks.
"Now use Aerial Ace!" Kiawe calls Charizard roars as it shoots forward at a fast speed and hits Torracat knocking the fire cat back a few feet away as he then stops himself Ash speaks.
"Torracat use Revenge!" Ash calls Torracat quickly jumps forward his left paw glows in orange energy and goes to hit Charizard as Kiawe speaks.
"Counter with Fire Punch!" Kiawe calls Charizard covers its right fist in fire and goes to collide with Torracat. The 2-mons roar as their attacks collide creating an explosion as they then slide away from each other. Once they do Torracat heats up his mouth as Ash speaks.
"Now use Fire Spin!" Ash calls Torracat fires out a big stream of fire that circles around Charizard and creates a big vortex trapping the fire lizard inside. Charizard looks around and takes some damage from the move as Kiawe speaks.
"Charizard break out of there with Rockslide!" Kiawe calls when Charizard's about to do that Ash speaks.
"I won't let you! Torracat use Fire Blast!" Ash calls as up high in the air appears Torracat, a large blast of fire appears from his bell appendage, and he slaps it with his left paw sending it down towards Charizard as Kiawe speaks.
"Hyper Beam Charizard!" Kiawe calls Charizard quickly fires a big orange beam that connects with the Fire Blast and begins to push it away as Kiawe speaks.
"Yes, keep going Charizard!" Kiawe calls with the fire lizard nodding as it increases its beam making it stronger as it begins to push the Fire Blast back Ash speaks.
"More power Torracat!" Ash calls as Torracat lets out a loud "Torra!" Increasing the power of his Fire Blast as the move starts to take the power of the fire spin and makes itself bigger and stronger. After that the large blast of fire manages to easily destroy the Hyper Beam and begins heading for Charizard as Kiawe speaks.
"Catch it Charizard!" Kiawe calls as Charizard points its hands upwards and connects with the big blast of fire. Once Charizard does that it begins trying to push the blast away but is having difficulty as Kiawe speaks.
"Come on Charizard don't let that attack beat you push it back!" Kiawe says with Charizard nodding as it roars gaining more strength as it begins to slowly push the blast of fire back Ash speaks.
"Torracat let's add more fire power! Use Fire Blast again!" Ash calls Torracat roars as he summons another big blast of fire from his bell and slaps it sending it downward as it connects with the previous Fire Blast and combines with it making the move stronger. Charizard's now having a much harder time and is slowly getting pushed down as Kiawe speaks.
"Charizard get out of there!" "Too late do it Torracat!" Both trainers call Torracat lets out a mighty roar increasing the power of his Fire Blast as the move then consumes Charizard pushing it down to the battlefield and creating a big explosion. Torracat then lands back on the battlefield and looks forward as when the explosion clears everyone can see Charizard laying on its back as Ash speaks.
"Way to go Torracat!" "Pika!" Ash along with Pikachu cheer as Torracat looks at them and smiles Kiawe then speaks.
"Hyper Beam Charizard!" Kiawe calls as suddenly Charizard stands back up and fires a big Hyper Beam that consumes Torracat creating an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Torracat!" Ash calls in worry as out of the explosion appears Torracat who was sent flying as he then lands back on the battlefield by landing on his right side as Ash speaks.
"Torracat are you okay?!" Ash asks as Torracat groans in pain, he struggles to stand up, but eventually does, showcasing that he can still battle and making Ash smile. Torracat then looks at Charizard and begins to pant heavily with Charizard panting too as Kiawe begins to think.
"Charizard's getting tired, so I better end this now" Kiawe says to himself as he speaks.
"Charizard use Blast Burn!" Kiawe calls Charizard lets out a mighty roar as it heats up its body and begins to charge up the attack as Ash speaks.
"We're not letting them beat us Torracat use Fire Blast!" Ash calls Torracat roars as his body burns hotter (activating his Blaze ability) and summons a large blast of fire out of his bell. Off to the side Misty speaks.
"Torracat activated his Blaze ability" Misty says as Tracey speaks.
"Looks like this battle's going to end soon." Tracey says as Leaf speaks.
"Go! Ash and Torracat!" Leaf along with Nemona and Barry cheer while Lana, Lillie and Burnet cheer on Kiawe and Charizard. Back on the battlefield the two mons continue to charge their attacks and when they're done their trainers speak.
"FIRE!" The 2 boys call as Charizard fires a giant wave of fire out of its mouth and Torracat fires a giant Fire Blast. The 2 attacks meet in the middle of the battlefield and collide. Once they do they go back and forth for a little bit until they mix together creating a giant ball of fire in the middle of the battlefield. There's also a strong wind too as Kiawe speaks.
"WE'RE ENDING THIS CHARIZARD! USE FIRE PUNCH!" Kiawe calls Charizard roars as it covers its right fist in fire shoots forward and enters the ball of fire as Ash speaks.
"TORRACAT USE REVENGE!" Ash calls Torracat roars as his left paw glows in orange energy and he jumps into the ball of fire too. While in the ball of fire we see Charizard and Torracat heading for each other and are about to collide as their trainers speak.
"GOOOOOOOOOOOO!" The 2 boys yell as Charizard roars and goes to hit Torracat with its right fist but Torracat manages to dodge the attack. Torracat then lets out a loud "TORRA!" and punches Charizard hard in the face. After that there's a big explosion that creates a strong wind and almost pushes everyone away, but they stand their ground. When the wind stops all that's left is a big cloud of smoke, everyone looks forward as they wait for the smoke to clear. Once it does it showcases both Torracat and Charizard still standing, looking at each other and panting heavily. As the 2 mons continue to pant Torracat's about to fall down but then quickly catches himself as he looks at Charizard. Charizard looks at Torracat smiles then closes his eyes as it then falls on its stomach knocked out. Everyone has surprised looks on their faces as Kukui speaks.
"Charizard's unable to battle Torracat's the winner!" Kukui says as Ash speaks.
"We beat Charizard?" Ash questions as Pikachu looks at him and nods making Ash smile as he speaks.
"WE BEAT CHARIZARD!" "PIKA!" Ash along with Pikachu cheer. Off to the side his friends cheer too as Misty, Leaf, and Nemona speak.
"They did it!" The 3 girls say happily as Barry speaks.
"Man, that battle was intense" Barry says with Tracey agreeing with him as Lillie speaks.
"Aw Kiawe's Charizard lost" Lillie says as Lana speaks.
"True but his Charizard fought hard until the very end, so I believe that they're both satisfied" Lana says with Burnet agreeing with her. Lillie looks at them and nods. Back on the battlefield Kiawe's surprised that Charizard lost but smiles and returns the mon back to its Pokeball. Kiawe then tells Charizard great job and puts the ball away. Back on Ash's side of the battlefield Ash looks at Torracat and speaks.
"Amazing Torracat you defeated Charizard!" Ash says happily but Torracat doesn't respond as he continues to pant Ash speaks.
"Torracat?" Ash says while having a concerned look on his face everyone looks at Torracat and see him continue to pant. Torracat continues to pant more and more until he looks at the sky and yells.
"TORRA!" Torracat yells as he then glows a bright white surprising everyone as Ash speaks.
"Torracat's evolving!" Ash says while having a surprised look on his face as he along with everyone see Torracat beginning to change. Torracat's now standing upright, his arms become bigger/bulkier, his bell appendage turns into a flaming belt, and he looks more like a tiger. Once the light of evolution goes away what was once a Torracat is now a Incineroar, the mon looks at the sky and roars.
"ROAR!" Incineroar roars to the sky and creates a shockwave showcasing his power. After that everyone looks at the mon having surprised looks on their faces as Misty speaks.
"Torracat evolved" Misty says while having a surprised look on her face as Leaf speaks.
"But why now?" Leaf questions as Tracey speaks.
"My guess is that Torracat was probably already to evolve but needed something in order to push him to evolve and his battle with Charizard was just the extra push he needed." Tracey answers with the group nodding as Nemona speaks.
"AMAZING!" Nemona says while having stars in her eyes. Back on the battlefield Ash's still surprised as he then smiles and speaks.
"Amazing Incineroar you evolved!" "Pika!" Ash along with Pikachu say happily after that Incineroar then looks at them having a serious look on his face as Ash speaks.
"Incineroar?" Ash asks as a few seconds later Incineroar smiles making Ash smile too as he speaks.
"Looks like you're still ready to go!" Ash says with Incineroar nodding as he flexes his muscles and looks forward waiting for his next opponent. On the other side of the battlefield Kiawe's surprised but then recomposes himself as Ash speaks.
"So, Kiawe are you going to send out Turtonator or not? Because we can still battle" Ash says with Incineroar nodding as Kiawe looks at them smiles and speaks.
"Yes, you're right sorry about that I was just surprised is all" Kiawe says with Ash nodding as Kiawe continues to speak.
"Now then it's time for me to bring out my final Pokémon" Kiawe says while having a serious expression on his face as he brings out his final Pokeball Ash speaks.
"Here it comes" Ash says as Kiawe puts the ball on his head and speaks.
"It's finally time my friend" Kiawe says as he continues to speak.
"Now! Turtonator Come Out!" Kiawe says as he throws the ball high in the air and the mon appears out of it. Turtonator lands on the battlefield causing it to shake as it then shoots out some fire out its nose and looks at Incineroar with Incineroar looking at it as Ash speaks.
"Here it is Kiawe's final Pokémon Turtonator by just looking at it I can feel just how much stronger it has gotten" Ash says to himself as off to the side Barry speaks.
"So, that's Kiawe's final Pokémon" Barry says as Nemona speaks.
"It looks strong" Nemona says as Leaf speaks.
"Back on the SS. Anne Ash battled Turtonator before when his Charizard was a Charmeleon and he almost lost." Leaf says as Tracey speaks.
"Even though Incineroar just evolved he must still be tired from his battle with Charizard I'm not sure that he'll be able to win." Tracey says as Misty speaks.
"True but we have to believe that Ash and Incineroar can" Misty says with the group nodding as they continue to look at the battlefield Ash looks at Incineroar and speaks.
"Incineroar Turtonator's strong make sure not to underestimate it and watch out for the spikes on its back as they can explode if you make contact!" Ash says with Incineroar nodding as Kiawe speaks.
"Get ready Turtonator" Kiawe says with the mon nodding as it along with Incineroar get into battle stances Kukui speaks.
"This is the final battle between Ash and Kiawe. Both trainers have one Pokémon left and whoever defeats their opponents Pokémon first will be declared the winner!" Kukui says with both boys nodding as Kukui continues to speak.
"Now then let the battle continue!" Kukui says as Kiawe speaks.
"Use Flamethrower!" Kiawe calls Turtonator fires a big stream of fire out from its nose that goes to hit Incineroar as Ash speaks.
"Okay Incineroar let's try out your new move. Use Darkest Lariat!" Ash calls Incineroar covers both of his hands in yellow fire as he then spins and easily gets rid of the Flamethrower. Once Incineroar does that he looks forward and sees Turtonator charging up something as Kiawe speaks.
"Now tighten your focus and use Focus Blast!" Kiawe calls Turtonator roars as it fires a big ball of orange fighting energy out from the hole in its stomach. The move heads for Incineroar as Ash speaks.
"Incineroar dodge then use Flame Charge!" Ash calls Incineroar quickly moves to the right and dodges the attack. Incineroar then gets on all fours, covers his body in fire and begins running towards Turtonator as Kiawe speaks.
"Turtonator use Shell Trap!" Kiawe calls Turtonator, turns its back towards Incineroar and waits for the mon to make contact. When Incineroar's about to hit Turtonator's back Ash speaks.
"Nice try Kiawe but we're not falling for that! Incineroar do a sharp turn to the right and get in front of Turtonator!" Ash calls Incineroar nods as he makes a sharp right turn avoiding the spikes and is now in front of Turtonator. Incineroar then shoots forward and hits Turtonator causing some damage to the mon as Kiawe speaks.
"Counter with Dragon Tail!" Kiawe calls as Turtonator covers its tail in green dragon energy spins around and slaps Incineroar hard across the face. Incineroar is then sent sliding back a few feet away and is back on Ash's side of the battlefield. Incineroar then looks forward and sees Turtonator's nose glowing in purple draconic energy as Kiawe speaks.
"Now use Dragon Pulse!" Kiawe calls as Turtonator fires a big Dragon Pulse that heads for Incineroar Ash speaks.
"Incineroar counter with Fire Blast!" Ash calls Incineroar's belt glows with fire energy as out of it appears a big blast of fire. Incineroar then punches the move with his left fist and sends it towards the Dragon Pulse causing both attacks to collide creating an explosion. When the explosion clears it showcases both mons along with their trainer's looking at each other as Kiawe speaks.
"I must say Ash even though Incineroar just finished battling Charizard and evolved I'm surprised by how much energy he has." Kiawe says as Ash speaks.
"Thanks, and from this little exchange we just had Turtonator's gotten a lot stronger too" Ash says with Kiawe nodding as he speaks.
"Yes, he has but now I believe it's time we showed you our full strength" Kiawe says as he lifts up his left arm showcasing his Z Ring as Ash speaks.
"So, he's finally going to use that. Incineroar, I don't know what to expect from this attack so be careful!" Ash says with Incineroar nodding as he looks forward. We now look at Kiawe he takes a deep breath looks at Turtonator and speaks.
"Let's go Turtonator!" Kiawe says as he touches the Z crystal on his Z Ring as it begins to glow with Turtonator nodding as Kiawe begins to speak.
"My Full Body… Soul… And Power! The Zenith of all that I am. Become a blazing flame that burns light on the mountains of Akala!" Kiawe says as he along with Turtonator synchronize their movements Kiawe then waves up his hands as a fiery aura covers his body, he then sends that aura towards Turtonator who feels a lot of power as Kiawe continues to speak.
"Now Take This! INFERNO OVERDRIVE!" Kiawe calls as Turtonator roars as it creates a giant ball of fire. Everyone looks at it and is amazed by it as Ash breaks out of his amazement and speaks.
"Get ready Incineroar!" Ash says with Incineroar nodding after that Turtonator launches the big fire ball that heads for Incineroar, Incineroar points both of his hands forward and collides with the ball of fire. Once he does the ball of fire begins to push Incineroar back as Ash speaks.
"Don't give up Incineroar if you can't knock it away then try absorbing it!" Ash calls with Incineroar nodding as he begins trying to absorb the move. As Incineroar's doing that his belt overheats as it can't take in anymore fire surprising Ash as Kiawe speaks.
"Nice try Ash but Incineroar can't absorb a Z move even if he was at full strength it wouldn't work" Kiawe says making Ash grit his teeth as Kiawe speaks.
"Now Turtonator let's finish this!" "Incineroar try knocking it away!" Both trainers call Turtonator roars increasing the power of its attack. Incineroar tries to knock the attack away but can't as he's too tired and the attack is too strong. A few seconds later Incineroar is then consumed in the Z move and begins to roar in pain as then there's a big explosion causing the battlefield to shake and creating a strong wind as Ash speaks.
"INCINEROAR!" Ash calls in worry as when the wind and smoke clear everyone sees Incineroar still standing while having scratches all over his body and there's also steam coming from his body too. Ash has a smile on his face, but his smile doesn't last for long as a few seconds later Incineroar then falls on his back and doesn't move showcasing that he can't battle anymore. Kukui then makes the call.
"Incineroar's unable to battle Turtonator's the winner! Seeing as Ash has no more Pokémon left this means that Kiawe is the winner!" Kukui says making Kiawe smile as Turtonator roars in victory. Off to the side Lana and Lillie smile as they speak.
"He won!" The 2 girls say happily while Burnet smiles. Meanwhile Misty, Leaf, Tracey, Nemona, and Barry all have surprised looks on their faces as Barry speaks.
"Wow after all of that Ash lost" Barry says in surprise as Tracey speaks.
"Unfortunately, there was nothing that Ash could do as Incineroar was tired and there was no way for him to counter the Z move." Tracey says with the group nodding as they continue to look at the battlefield. Meanwhile, on the battlefield Ash along with Pikachu are surprised, Ash clinches his fists as Pikachu looks at him and speaks.
"Pika?" Pikachu asks Ash if he's okay as Ash looks at him and speaks.
"Don't worry Pikachu I'm okay just a little frustrated is all" Ash says with Pikachu nodding as Ash continues to speak.
"Come on let's go check on Incineroar" Ash says with Pikachu nodding as they then begin walking over to the mon. When they reach Incineroar Ash bends down and gently lifts up the mons head. Incineroar looks at Ash and Pikachu telling them sorry that he lost as Ash speaks.
"It's okay Incineroar you along with everyone else did great and gave it your all in this battle. And you also evolved so I'm satisfied" Ash says as his Pokeball's wriggle and Arcanine, Blaze, Skeledirge, Ceruledge, and Charizard appear. They all agree with what Ash said making Incineroar smile as Ash along with Charizard then help Incineroar stand back up. Once they do Ash along with his Pokémon see Kiawe along with his Pokémon Walk over to them. Once they get close enough Kiawe looks at Ash and speaks.
"That was a great battle Ash my Pokémon, and I had a lot of fun and as always you pushed us passed our limits" Kiawe says with his Pokémon agreeing with him making Ash along with his Pokémon smile as Ash speaks.
"Thanks, my Pokémon and I had a lot of fun too and that Z move was powerful" Ash says with Kiawe nodding as Ash continues to speak.
"But now that I've faced your Z move the next time, we battle I'll be expecting it, and the winners will be my Pokémon and me!" Ash states while having a determined look on his face with his Pokémon agreeing with him. Kiawe along with his Pokémon smile as he speaks.
"I look forward to that, but my Pokémon and I will still be the winners" Kiawe says while also having a determined look on his face making Ash and his Pokémon smile as the 2 boys then shake each other's hands. Off to the side everyone looks at them and have smiles on their faces as Lillie speaks.
"Even though Ash lost he along with Kiawe are still friends" Lillie says with the group nodding. After that Nemona along with Barry run over to Ash and Kiawe. Once they get close enough Barry speaks.
"That battle was incredible I was on edge the entire time!" Barry says as Nemona speaks.
"Me Too and it's made me excited to battle so what do you say let's battle!" Nemona says while having an excited look on her face as Ash speaks.
"Sorry Nemona as much as I would like to battle you my Pokémon and I are pretty exhausted" Ash says as Kiawe speaks.
"It's the same for me and my Pokémon" Kiawe says making Nemona sad as she begins to sulk. After that everyone else walks over to them and when they reach them, they tell Ash and Kiawe that their battle was great, making both boys happy as Kukui speaks.
"Now that's what I call a fire Pokémon battle it gets a Blast Burn out of 10 from me" Kukui says with the 2 boys nodding as Tracey speaks.
"Now that the battle's over what should we do now?" Tracey questions as Misty speaks.
"Why don't we go back to the festival we still have time in the day to enjoy it" Misty suggests with the group nodding as Ash speaks.
"Great idea Misty but before we go, I should go to the Pokémon Center and heal up my Pokémon" Ash says with Kiawe saying the same thing as Kukui speaks.
"That sounds like fun you kids enjoy yourselves Burnet and I will be waiting for you back at the hotel" Kukui says with Lana, Kiawe, and Lillie nodding as the 2 adults then begin heading back to the hotel while the group heads over to the Pokémon Center. When they make it to the center Ash along with Kiawe hand their Pokémon over to Nurse Joy who takes them and begins to heal them. As the group's waiting for Ash's and Kiawe's Pokemon to heal Ash asks Nemona where Rika, Larry, and Hassel are. Nemona tells him that they're currently meeting with Lorelai of the Kanto elite 4 as they're also going to be guest judges for the tournament too which means that she doesn't need to be supervised. But she does need to be back at the hotel they're staying at before it gets dark. After that they all hear a ding Nurse Joy walks over to the group and speaks.
"Your Pokémon are now healed" Nurse Joy says making Ash along with Kiawe happy as they look at her and speak.
"Thank you, Nurse Joy!" The 2 boys say with the woman nodding as she then walks away. After that Ash along with Kiawe put their Pokeballs away and once they do that Ash looks at the group and speaks.
"Okay now that our Pokémon are healed let's have some fun!" Ash cheers along with everyone else as they then head towards the festival and begin to enjoy themselves. During this time, they played many games where Ash, Nemona, Kiawe, and Barry competed in a Basketball game to see who could earn more points. Tracey along with Lillie took part in a game that has you sketch/observe different Pokémon from a far (Tracey also shows Lillie how to do sketches of Pokémon), Misty and Lana played a fishing game, and Leaf entered an all you can eat contest which made her somewhat sick afterwards. Many hours passed with the kids along with their Pokémon having a fun time. They continue to have fun until it's time for them to go to sleep. Kiawe, Lana, and Lillie head back to the hotel they're staying at, Nemona along with Barry head back to their hotels, while the group go back to the Pokémon Center to rest. When they make it back Ash calls Prof. Oak and wants to send the fire types, he has with him back to the lab with the old man nodding. Misty then called the Cerulean gym to check on her sisters but when she called the gym one of the gym trainers answered and not her sisters. Misty asked where her sisters were as the trainer tells Misty that they're currently on vacation and have closed the gym for the time being. Misty's slightly annoyed but isn't too mad as her sisters have been working at the gym for a long time and do deserve to go on a vacation. After that the group then go to their rooms and go asleep looking forward to the start of the tournament tomorrow. We now cut over to Oak's lab and see that Oak along with Daisy, and Delia have gathered Ash's Pokémon over. The mons are looking at them as Oak speaks.
"Okay then I believe it's time to welcome these 6 home" Oak says with Daisy and Delia nodding as Oak then throws the balls up in the air sending out the 6 mons. Once they do Charizard, Arcanine, Ceruledge, Skeledirge, and Blaze look at Ash's Pokémon and smile at them with the others smiling back too. Then when Incineroar comes out of his Pokeball Ash's Pokémon have surprised looks on their faces as Oak speaks.
"Well would you look at that Torracat did evolve into an Incineroar" Oak says as Daisy speaks.
"He looks a lot stronger too" Daisy says as Delia speaks.
"Aw he's all grown up" Delia says as Ash's other Pokémon go over to Incineroar and congratulate him making the mon smile as he then flexes his muscles which causes some of Ash's Pokémon to do it too. Then Ash's Meowscarada appears she looks at Incineroar and has a surprised look on her face. Incineroar looks at Meowscarada and smiles. Meowscarada then gets hearts in her eyes and jumps onto Incineroar giving him a big hug and a kiss on the right cheek which makes Incineroar blush in embarrassment while Ash's other Pokémon along with the 3 humans chuckle. As that's happening Meowscarada then whispers something into Incineroar's right ear telling him what they're going to be doing later tonight which makes the mon blush even more as he looks at Meowscarada who has a smile/blush on her face as the chapter comes to an end.

Whew very long chapter today tell me how did you guys think I handled the reunion of the group meeting Lana and Kiawe again and also meeting Kukui, Burnet, and Lillie. Also, what were your thoughts on the battle and how did you feel about Torracat's evolution into Incineroar? It was kind of similar to how he evolved in the anime but of course I put my own spin on it.
