Dang time went so fast that I almost forgot to post the newest chapter, while late here it is guys, see you all next week!
Awakening Party: Class 1A+
Now that everyone was finally out of the hospital, operations, and regular duties were duty was put off for the day, it was finally time for all of them to show off their new abilities that some of them may have gained from their awakening. Almost all of them who had undergone drive knight surgery had successfully achieved their awakening in some shape or form; the only non-benefactors were Midoriya and Aoyama. for midoriya people understood that naturally given his power that it likely wouldn't be possible for him to awaken his ability given that he was quirkless but hearing about Aoyama failing was a bit strange ultimately they didn't want to pry too far into the matters as if it would look like they were gloating over him about it and Mina even asked the boy if he wanted them to cancel the reveal party they were planning but the boy wasn't disturbed he wanted them to continue and have fun and to not mind him as he was happy as long as they were happy as well, he even went out of his way to help others out with trying to figure out what had changed about them when he could, in fact he was the only one that knew mostly about everyone's new ability.
The day had finally come for their reveal party, and ironically, the only one that was still trying to figure out her ability was none other than the one that proposed the date. Mina, who had so far had no luck finding her new awakening, had finally come upon an epiphany in the final hour as she quickly ran down the steps of their home and proclaimed proudly that she had figured it out and at least something had changed. The people in the living room are Momo, Iida, Midoriya, Uraraka, and Sato. They all looked upon the girl as she entered the room, and they could tell that there was a change going by how the girl's horns looked much larger and more elaborate, even swirling around at the tip a bit in comparison to her rather small ones. Midoriya was the first one to be on her, as he questioned what her new ability was. He was the most excited about the reveal party and was chomping at the bit for when the party would take place. Midoriya flooded the girl with questions so fast that she couldn't even answer them all before launching off into a mumbling spree, which Uraraka had to snap him out of by kissing him on the cheek, which quickly made him stop and flush with embarrassment.
Now that Mina had so more room to breathe she questioned if she should say or not but Toru was down the next moment she was there when the event happened and the two of them were bouncing ideas off of each other described that Mina's horns had shifted to what they were when she had off-handily mentioned being as solid as Kirishima which leads to that change but her horns weren't the only thing that shifted as she jabbed at the girl's shoulder to show them and Midoriya joined in the encouraging and Mina relented as it technically was the day they were going to show off after all and Toru had already seen it so showing a few more people before the show wouldn't be so bad, so she showed them by creating some acid from her hand and the group was shocked at what they saw instead of the loose purple liquid acid they were used to instead it was a purple hard substance and she held it in her hands like a stick or log. Midoriya wanted to hold it himself for analysis, but Mina warned that it was still acid, so it would likely burn him if he touched it. She showed this by grabbing a paper towel from the kitchen, attempting to wrap it around the stick, and just having it melt away along with the stick itself getting slightly smaller. Mina crushed the stuff in her hands and steadily broke it down into little flakes before using more paper towels to wipe it away. She created a non-acid-based one so that she could give it to Midoriya for study while she sat down and discussed it with the others.
"So does this mean you can't use your other type of acid anymore?" Sato asked, and Mina leaned her head to the side, thinking about the question.
"I don't know." Mina answered with a shrug and a smile.
"Assumably, you should be able to, given that you had already awakened previously and this was a spur-of-the-moment occasion; it may be something more transformative, and there needs to be a trigger of some kind similar to Ojiro," Iida commented, and Momo nodded in agreement.
"So what would the trigger be? Could it have been Kirishima? It worked for Kirishima that way, didn't it?" Toru asked and then teased. When it was found out that Kirishima had awakened to save Momo from an attack, people in the know about Mina's situation increased their teasing remarks about their relationship and how it was a sign that Kirishima might care for Momo more than her. They, of course, knew this to be false, and things weren't that cut and dry with awakening, especially when they had examples like shoji, which evolved similarly, along with Mineta, who was involved in self-loathing, and Asui, who evolved simply from hard work, but it was fun to pretend that there was some secret love between Kirishima and Momo nonetheless to tease both of them.
"I doubt it would be something like that," Uraraka remarked.
"And Kirishima was more about a drive to protect than me in particular; anyone in our class could have taken my place, and the same outcome would have transpired.'' Momo corrected it as well. The silent but present background mutter and mumbling in the room started to peter out, which suggested to the others that Midoriya had finally come up with something that may shed light on the situation.
"I think Toru may be on to something; you said that you guys were discussing Kirishima when this happened, right?" midoriya questioned.
"Yeah, she said that she had hoped for something to be as "rock solid as Kirishima," Toru remarked, and Midoirya snapped his fingers at that.
"That might be it, Mina, think of wanting your acid to be liquid again or just liquid in general," Midoriya remarked suddenly, and both Momo and Iida pondered before seeing what Midoriya was starting to get at, and they all turned to her as she sat there in concentration, thinking she closed her eyes thinking about it, and when she opened them again to look around the room at the sudden murmurs of intrigue, she felt Toru touching her now normal-sized horns before testing out her ability again and seeing it was back to normal again.
"Woah, what?" Mina remarked, looking over to Deku and the others for an explanation.
"I believe that your awakening allows you to change the state of matter in your acid," Midoirya remarked.
"What does that mean practically?" Uraraka asked.
"There is a lot of potential there, but also a lot of danger. You need to be more careful than ever with some of the more danger-." Iida was going on a mini-rant before Mina had just gotten up and unceremoniously just left the room back upstairs in a hurry.
"Where is she going?" Sato questioned Toru, who was sitting down next to him, but it was Momo who answered for her.
"I have a guess of where, well, more precisely, who, she went to go get," she remarked, and in the next moment Mina was coming back down the stairs, and as Momo thought, the excited pink girl had been carrying Todoroki down the steps over her shoulder, which was a funny sight to behold for everyone present as they chuckled before Iida demanded that the girl put the boy down, waving his arm in the air all the while. Todoroki didn't seem to mind; he was just more confused than anything, but all sights were on Mina again as her horns changed again, this time not only getting longer and more pointy but also being made up of an almost purple-like flame; it was almost demon-like, and out of the girl's hand, she produced a bright purple ball of fire, even earning Todoroki's interest as he lifted his left hand to touch it, feeling the heat from it, and even retracting his hand away after a moment from the expended contact as the heat was pretty intense.
"That's pretty hot; you need to be sure to be careful with it. Todoroki remarked simply.
"Is it hotter than your flames, Todoroki?" Toru asked.
"It is for the most part, but it isn't fire from what I can tell." todoroki said
"It's plasma!" Mina said with a happy smile, dousing the ball in her hand, and Todoroki only nodded his head.
"Alright, don't get too carried away, girl; we still have the event and don't want to spoil everything you have right away." Toru remarked from the side.
The time for their little party to be close, along with Mina's excited actions, drew the attention of some of the others that were still in their rooms at the moment to finally come out and come down the stairs. Mina returned to her liquid-acid state, which was her normal look to hide her new abilities from the new arrivals. After a moment of discussion and everyone being ready to head out, along with the new arrivals coming along, Jackie and Sigismund, who didn't have much better things to do at the moment, all took off to the barren landscape just outside of the hero association headquarters.
Mina was still overly excited about sharing her new power, so she was the one that went first. The first thing that she did was show off her solid state of acid by creating a bat of acid and using it to swing around before creating a baton and twirling it around herself in a gymnastic. The girl switched immediately to a gas state. Her horns transformed again; this time they took on a similar size to her original, but they were more in a gaseous state above her head and started to secrete gas from her hands and even her mouth. She was reminded of Midoriya and then thought about it more and got over into a hunched pose before letting off gas from her entire body in a similar fashion to Midoriya, but the smoke she created was purple in comparison to his white one. Another inclusion of her gas was that it still contained acidic properties. As the gas drew closer to the class, people's eyes started to water, and they coughed even when Mina turned the acidity down as much as possible.
The next one was plasma. her horns took on the demonic fire form and she wasn't done there as she asked for todoroki's assistance in the showcase asking the boy to make some ice targets for her to shoot at and he complied making five ice targets and she through both of her hands back before throwing them both outwards in the familiar gesture to the Hadouken from street fighter but she didn't call it that she called it plasma blast the first shot completely incinerated the targets not just melting the ice but completely vaporizing it to the point where not even much smoke spelled from the aftermath of the attack and some even carried over but then Mina wanted to take things a step further and thought aloud what would happen if she did her Acidman technique and she wanted to try it out.
"I don't think that is a good idea."Asui remarked suddenly, but it was too late, as the purple plasma covered her body in a bubble of plasma. Asui turned to Toru and asked the girl to blacken everyone's vision quickly, at least all the guys. Toru didn't quite get what the problem was, but given the agency of her request, she could guess something bad was about to transpire, so she did so for all of the guys—well, except one of them. What Asui was implying quickly came to fruition after a couple of seconds of being inside the bubble of plasma. Mina's clothes just evaporated into thin air, leaving her completely naked. She let out a painstaking screech before covering herself to the best of her ability before switching to her solid state again and using her hand to create a wall of acid to separate herself from the rest of the class before shouting for Momo's assistance. She didn't only create the single wall; she created what was essentially a miniature bunker with her acid just to ensure that no one could see her. All of the girls went into this bunker, along with Momo, and as she went, she created an acid-resistant glove to knock on the door to let them in. Mina was completely flushed with embarrassment as her hands were completely blocking her face with her hands hunched over in the makeshift bunker.
"Iida tried to tell you that you needed to be careful of your new power." Momo chided her as she crafted something for the girl to wear.
"Your lucky Tsu was there for you; she had predicted something like that may happen and asked to turn off the guy's vision." Toru remarked, and at that, Mina finally looked at them before rushing over and hugging the short frog girl even while naked, making Asui blush but returning the hug nonetheless.
"Oh my god, thank you so much, Tsu; you are such a lifesaver. I don't know how I could have faced them if they saw me like that." Mina remarked before taking the clothes Momo offered her.
"But how did you know something was going to happen?" uraraka asked
"Remember in the hospital when I shrunk down but my suit remained the same size? Well, from that, I speculated that we all, well, any with transformative abilities, need to get an entirely new suit again with our new genes embedded in them. ribbit." Asui said, and all the girls began to murmur their agreement.
"It's also just common sense if you just think about it; your suit was acid-proof, not flameproof, let alone plasma," Jiro commented again, and Mina turned around, rubbing the back of her head while smiling cheekily.
"Yeah... I guess I got a little carried away. Thank you again, Tsu, and you too, Toru. You guys are the best." Mina remarked as she finally finished putting on her clothes that Momo had crafted her school's gym uniform.
"No problem, ribbit," Asui replied again.
"Yeah, I couldn't have any of the guys see you like that." toru remarked in an unusual tone mina noted which got her worried for a moment she couldn't exactly see the girl given that they all were in their hero costumes so all she could go off was her voice, so when they were all ready to evacuate the makeshift bunker mina switched back to her normal liquid state once the group was out and behind the building which also switched the state of the building from a hardened structure into a goop that slowly melted to the floor revealing all of the girls, to the rest of the class kaminari was the first one to question what had happened as they couldn't see for the last bit off it, mina breathed a sigh of relief at the question so they did manage to do that and weren't just trying to make her feel better she thought as she scanned the guys looking for some reaction of what had transpired a couple of minutes prior but most of them seemed to just be confused all except one of them, when she had scanned her eyes over kirishima their eyes had locked onto each other for a moment before his face turned completely red and he looked away while covering his face, her face was likely doing the same as her mind and heart went into overdrive.
"I guess we're now in the same boat, huh?" Mina heard toru whisper in her ear and her flush and embarrassment at the confirmation quickly turned into a fit of almost bitter anger as she turned with quickness and launched out a punch in the direction of the girl's voice she missed of course only hitting nothing but air but her friends laughter drove her to keep at it, yelling at the invisible girl to get back here and face her consequences but it just seemed like mina had flipped out over nothing, toru didn't respond and given the terrain, mina couldn't find her which left only one thing for her to do she launched a massive amount of acid with no acidity but maximum viscosity, this wave of acid splatter all around the grounds in front of her and as she predicted toru had to take the opportunity to save herself which she did by creating a barrier of light to protect herself but also revealing her position to the angered pink girl who began chasing after the invisible women.
The two were eventually calmed down enough when Mina simply didn't have enough energy to keep on playing hide and seek with the ultimate master in their class. To her surprise, she was approached by none other than Kirishima himself; she couldn't even look at him as he sat down and asked what was happening, what was up with her and Toru fighting, and why she was in a different set of clothes than previously. This completely floored Mina, who questioned what the boy's angle was. If Toru's implication was correct, he should damn well know why she had to get changed and what happened; did he just want her to say it aloud or something?
"What are you talking about? Didn't you see it?" Mina asked, and Kirishima was just puzzled.
"ugh no? Unless I blinked and I missed it, the last thing I remember was that you were going to try a new move, and then nothing until after you guys emerged from the building just now," Kirishima stated, and Mina turned to look at the boy. Was he telling the truth? Was Toru just playing with her? But then why did he turn away from her when they locked eyes just now and looked like he had seen something he shouldn't have?
"It was just a little wardrobe malfunction, Kirishima; nothing too bad to worry about; she's going to need a new hero costume, though." Toru suddenly sounded next to them, surprising both parties, and at that, Kirishima flared up again. His reddened cheeks came, and he looked away from Mina as he pondered that for a moment before being slapped on the shoulder by the girl himself.
"I wasn't thinking about anything, I promise." Kirishima defended.
"Do you swear you didn't see anything?" Mina questioned, and Kirishima nodded.
"Would you take a test on that? I have a lie detector test on my phone; if you lie to me, I won't forgive you." Mina remarked and Kirishima's flushness completely went away, as he looked serious and agreed to take this test, the sudden change was sharp for mina but she went through with it getting out her phone and opening the app before letting Kirishima press his finger on the button and asking a few questions to show him what the truth looked like and before asking him the question she was too timid to ask flat out if the boy saw her naked so she asked toru to do it for her instead she covered her ears, but she watched on as the surprise took over his face from the question but she could already read his lips saying that he definitely didn't see that and after a moment and toru faking her out with a gasp for shock value she revealed that the boy was...telling the truth he honestly didn't see her naked and while lie detectors weren't always the best especially a phone app one she would accept the results and believe that he was telling the truth.
"See, did you think I would do something like that to you?" Toru whispered in her pink friend's ear.
"That was a pretty poor joke." Mina pouted in reply before all of them got back to the show at hand, but Toru looked at Kirishima in complete confusion. She did not block out Kirishima's vision during the said event, and she focused on him. She knows for a fact that he saw at least something, but the way he acted and the sure confidence in his answer, along with passing the test, say otherwise. Something was amiss there, but what? Was he just a good liar? But it's Kirishima they were talking about; there is no way that is true. He wore his emotions almost fully on his sleeve, but I guess that was something for another day.
The next person to show off their awakened quirk was Asui. She called it enhanced amphibian; she essentially could do everything a frog or any amphibian can do, and people were confused. Wasn't that what she could do? She first demonstrated this by growing horns resembling those of the horned tree frog; she also grew a claw from out of her knuckle concerning the hairy frog, but the effort put the girl in pain, so she didn't want to rely on such things very often if she could help it. The next thing she did was grow to four times her size when she channeled the size of a bullfrog, and she even remarked that she could grow to 10 times her size if she channeled the size of Beelzebufo, which she explained was one of the largest frogs around and during the time of the dinosaurs. which she demonstrated growing up to 44 feet, and unlike Mina, her suit grew with her, and everyone gawked at her size increase. Torax even grew to his size for comparison, and true enough, both of them were similar sizes, although Torax was smaller. That was his size when he was on his four legs, if he reared up on his hind legs, she would be a couple of feet larger than the girl.
"That's so cool!" Kaminari said.
"Yeah, Tsu, that's incredible!" Uraraka commented in addition.
"That's not all, Ribbit; I can even mix and match some of their traits; watch this toru." Asui remarked before first donning the skin tone of the glass frog, making her skin and suit transparent, and then combining that with her camouflage, and suddenly the giant frog girl had simply disappeared in complete invisibility. There was a large sound as she moved and presumably hopped into the air as the girl revealed herself in her normal size behind that of Tokoyami and Oiro, which surprised everyone, even the boy himself.
"A very impressive awakening, Asui." Orion complimented, and Tokoyami nodded.
"There is one more part as well for you, ojiro; it's the reason why I call it enhanced amphibian instead of just enhanced frog. Ribbit," Asui remarked before suddenly Ojiro reacted to an object quickly approaching from his side, which he countered with his tail. The object and his tail collided, and Ojiro and the rest of the class were surprised to see that Tsu had grown a tail—a salamander's tail.
"Tsu, you probably have a big bundle of tricks now at your disposal," Midoriya commented, examining the appendage.
"Oh, can you detach and regrow it as a salamander does?" sero asked off to the side.
"I think so. I know I can heal faster with it, but for regrowing a tail or any other limb, I would like to wait until it is necessary to try it out. ribbit." asui remarked
"Being overshadowed by your quirk must be rough, tail man." Bakugo's rough voice rang out, and Ojiro simply sent out a side glare at the blonde before looking back over to Asui.
"Just ignore him. ribbit," Asui remarked simply.
"No need to tell me; if you're interested in fighting with it, well, I guess I'm your guy." ojiro remarked.
"Yeah, and I can show you some useful tricks for being invisible and stuff. It could be really fun! You should join us. Tokoyami's late-night training is pretty fun, and I bet Dark Shadow is a bit bored with being relegated to nighttime when he has so much energy. Toru added, jumping on Ojiro's shoulders in the meantime.
"I'll...consider it," Tokoyami replied simply.
Asui ended her turn by explaining more about how Midoriya was essentially correct and that she does have a variety of options to choose from, and that went double for poisons and toxins that she could produce, some more harmful than others.
The next up was Kirishima; he had already told them about what his quirk was back in the hospital, but he went to reiterate that he called his new power pillar. It allowed him to coat multiple people with his hardening when he touched them, but after further experimentation, he found out that this didn't just go for the people he touched with his hands; those people could also spread the hardening from them like a giant chain or multiple pillars. However, the more people he touched and hardened, the weaker his hardening would be overall. To test it out, he needed someone else to come up with him, and he asked Mina to come, but the girl refused, having had enough of the spotlight for the moment. Kaminari offered himself up in her stead, and Kirishima went with it as the two of them went forward.
Now they just needed someone to attack them, but Kaminari had that covered pretty handily as he taunted Bakugo randomly, exclaiming that Bakugo had a crush on Silver Chain, which predictably set the explosive blonde off as he rocketed it forward before delivering a solid, large explosion towards them. Kaminari had latched on to Kirishima for dear life as the angry blonde roared over. The explosion washed over them with several resounding bangs that resounded all around the area. Obviously, by the time Bakugo stopped and the dust settled, Kaminari was grinning widely as he was still unharmed, but that smile completely disappeared when Bakugo grabbed Kirishima's other hand and punched him in the face.
Kaminari screamed in pain for a moment, but Bakugo rolled his eyes with a huff before going back to sit down in his seat. Kirishima finished his showcase with a dedicated cause to keep getting stronger, hoping that one day he would be able to harden everyone to the point where his current unbreakable is now and maybe in the future himself as durable as Darkshine is. Mineta took the opportunity to stand up and slide into the spotlight. The small teen used his pop-off orbs and threw them on the ground, creating an ice slide for himself, although he didn't quite stick to the landing, making him fall on his face and causing people to laugh at him as he recovered quickly and dramatically unveiled his new power that he called Pop Open.
His new power was similar, in fact, to Momo's, and people started to understand why, for the past couple of days, the two of them had been seen much more frequently together. He explained that his power allows him to create things that are a mix of the periodic table. As he showed with the ice he made on his entrance, he then slammed an orb down, and a large smoke cloud was created. Then he slammed another to create water, then he created fire, and he could even create lighting and even plasma.
He could even create gold by making a small gold coin, which Momo promptly confiscated before asking Doroki to burn it. In essence, it was a budget version of Momo's quirk; he needed to know the elements that made up a specific thing before he could create it, but he couldn't flat-out create man-made objects as she could.
"Yes, his quirk is similar to mine; however, I fear what he may do with it. Mineta, please understand this new gift of yours; you must not use it for personal gain or benefit," Momo remarked.
"Yes, yes. I know. You told me, like, 10 different times." Mineta said in a grumble.
"She is right; you must be careful not only of yourself but also of others that may want to take advantage of you. Being able to create things like gold could be dangerous and put a target on your back." Iida added on.
"And don't forget about the economy!" Sero remarked out loud, earning a few laughs from their classmates, but seeing that Jackie was a bit confused, he explained to her that it was an internal joke between them about how Momo would often refuse to create things because she needed to by them, which Sero added in a whisper that she could do that because she was the actual rich one in their class, which gained him a jab in the back of the head from Jiro, but he just laughed it off.
Mineta took his seat and the next up on the chopping block was none other than momo given their similarities she found that it would be best she demonstrated her regular ability first and asked her classmates to take note of the color of when she created an object the pink glow as she created a nesting doll-like usual and places it down and she used her new ability and a green glow flowed out of her this time as she created that same nesting doll and places it down next to the one she made before she explained while the two may seem identical but they are quite different she explained as the class gasped as the one nestling doll completely disappeared and she went on to explain what they just witnessed she is calling her new ability conjure she can create anything that she has seen before although with the same limitations of her creation ability. The class gasped at that for a moment.
"Well, at least you don't have to worry about breaking the economy anymore!" Sero yelled out.
"Ooh, how about you create something more exciting? How about you conjure one of the victory bots from our world?"kaminari suggested.
"Ignore this doofus," Jiro commented immediately after.
"No sparky is right; I would love to see a piece of tech from your world! Right, Sigismund, we would be the first ones to see alien tech!" Jackie remarked excitedly, looking at the quiet boy. He was just as similar to his mentor when it came to attention being on him, which meant he didn't like it too much, but the boy's curiosity must have gotten the best of him given how the girl phrased the question as he answered.
"I do want to see it, but if it's too much of a bother, you don't have to if you don't want to." The boy remarked
"See, he wants to see it too; come on, creati, flex those creative chops!" Jackie yelled.
"I'm with my other world sister! Let's go, Yamomo!" Mina said in addition.
Think about it; if you can do it, you can have like a robot army."Toru also yelled out in support, and this got a slow but steady chant going in the class. After a moment of hesitation, Momo just sighed and held up her hand, signaling for them to stop, and then gave her answer with a swoosh of her conjuring ability again. She created a deep, dark curtain to completely block their sight, which got roars of praise from the instigators. Momo had to take off her top and completely reveal her chest to be able to get the thing out.
She remembered the robots they faced for their entrance exams and midterms, so she thought about them. More importantly, the smallest one that she could remember was the one-pointer victory bot, and after concentrating, she felt the conjur start to take hold, and the machine dropped from the entirety of her upper body, landing on the ground with a thud. It was in its powered-down state, which made it more compact and easier for her to create. She quickly put her clothes back on before getting rid of the curtain and revealing the robot to the awws of the crowd.
"So you guys fought against those just to get into school? talk about strict entrance fees." Jackie remarked, and Sero chuckled at that while wrapping his arm around her.
"Well, it was a hero school after all; we can't be too lax with it preparing us for the real world. There are two that are even bigger than that, and don't get me started on the zero-pointers. There are like huge 100-meter-tall behemoths of metal.
"sounds scary." Jackie playfully remarked, snuggling deeper into his arm, but before Sero could reply, Bakugo commented.
"Tch, the damn things were weak trash," Bakugo said roughly.
"How many zero-pointers did you beat again?" Mineta asked.
"He does raise a fair point; I believe only Midoriya and Todoroki had taken them down," Kaminari said.
"Momo took a couple down with her cannon as well," Jiro added. These gained an angered glare from Bakugo, which made Mineta and Kaminari flinch and back down and hide.
"I could take on the 100 of them now; I'm not like I was before," Bakugo remarked simply.
"Anyways, turn it on, momo!" Toru shouted excitedly, even when she waved her arms around. They still didn't see her, thanks to her suit. Momo took a moment and reached down, flipping the switch on the robot's neck, and it quickly came to life. Its eye scanned the class in front of them before standing up and extending outwards before turning to Momo, rearing back, and thrusting at her with its right shield arm. Momo easily parried the attack with her staff, but the surprise caught her off guard enough to disturb her concentration on keeping the machine alive.
"Yaoyorozu, are you okay?" Todoroki asked to walk up to her; he didn't even realize that he had moved, but since he was there,.
"I'm fine; I assume that since I created it from the moment the robots were our enemies, it was still carrying out its original programming," Momo said, and Todoroki nodded at that. Momo then went on to explain what happened to the others: she would probably need to have Drive Knight help in changing the programming so that she could use the robots better by herself without the risk of self-harm.
Given that todoroki was already standing up and in the spotlight, he reasoned that he would go next first he explained his awakening was essentially treating his power as that of endothermic and exothermic reactions which Momo proceeded to explain to the few that didn't understand what that meant, for endothermic it meant that he could now absorb heat from his very surroundings which conversely makes things colder which also enhances his ice powers and for exothermic, it was the opposite it would raise the temperature of his surrounding environment but some were still confused about it as they believed that was something that was naturally to todoroki quirk in the first place so he just decided to show them.
Todoroki first went into his phosphorus white form and demonstrated on a water bottle that Momo conjured.
He then set down a couple of feet away from Todoroki and proceeded away behind back to the rest of the class. Todoroki concentrated and held out his hand. Suddenly, the water in the bottle completely froze over along with the very air that surrounded him as this effect quickly spread around to the rest of where the rest of the class was located, and Todoroki swapped to phosphorus red form before things got out of hand. As he turned around to see that some of his classmates were shivering in their seats, he apologized before looking down at his hand. He hesitated before making this next move.
"You don't have to show that part of it if you don't want to," Momo commented, making everyone look at her in confusion before looking back out to Todoroki, who was still concentrating on what he should do, but ultimately closing his hand into a fist, he shook his head.
"No, it's fine; this is my power, after all." Todoroki said, and this gained the express attention of Midoriya, who he was quoting from, before continuing along. Everyone's eyes widen when Todoroki turns back around and stretches out his hand, and what emerges is a blue flame. The flame shot forth up and into the air and continued that way for several seconds before it died down and started to change color back to its original red shade. No one said anything, not even Jackie, who was probably sensing the mood and figuring it wasn't the best time to speak.
After finding himself Todoroki simply explained what was happening and how his flames can become blue, the endothermic reaction which he was calling vacuum, which would store the heat from his environment inside of himself so despite releasing cold or ice he would instead build up the heat instead of frostbite like he usually would and after he had built up a sufficient enough heat within himself he would then be able to release that internal heat in conjunction with his fire enhancing it and turning it blue until that internal heat went away. He also explained his exothermic reaction which he was calling overheat allowed him to steadily increase the temperature around him at the cost of his internal temperature plummeting downwards and just like its opposite after lowering his temperature to a certain point he can then use his enhance his ice he could reach temperatures near absolute zero if he exerted himself and his ice would become stronger and more durable when used in that fashion as well before going back and sitting down himself.
"Well that's nice, could you ugh maybe do that now? it's kinda still cold over here. I'm surprised that Tsu's not getting sleepy" Mina remarked
"The wood frog ribbit has a better chance against the cold than other frogs. " Asui replied simply.
"Oh sorry, I'll get right on that," Todoroki said, and just like that it was almost like an invisible wave of heat showered them and the temperature around them slowly rose back to normal before he cut it off and switched back to his normal state where he would just balance out his internal temperature himself.
As Todoroki sat down, the next person to take the stage was sato. Sato's awakening was both an enhancement of his normal sugar rush and something else, instead of the simple multiplication of five he had before now it granted him a 5 to the nth power boost, and the n was the number of sugar capsules or 10 grams of sugar he eats within 10 seconds of his initial batch the drawback was that his body being able to contain that much power as he demonstrated. He ate two of his pellets and the class started to immediately notice that his muscles and body started to bulge out and get larger he grew several inches taller, longer, and wider and his costume was elastic so it stretched along with him. sato was taller and much more swollen than he was previously he remarked that three was his limit for now and he wouldn't want to use it if possible it was incredibly painful when he tried it the first time and he thought he was going to burst open liking to eating while you're full.
"Oh, so it's like muscular, interesting," Midoirya remarked mostly to himself, muscular quirk allowed him to grow muscle fibers and this growth would grow to the point where it exceeds outwards and covers his skin but with sato, it seemed more like his skin was the limiting factor of his ability instead he can't stretch it too much or he could pop. midoirya shook his head just thinking about it.
"So he can boost his strength by a pretty decent amount although it seems his weakness stays the same." ojiro commented as sato started to get loopy again as the minutes ticked down but with a compliment to his training it seemed he was still able to move at least partially as his hand reached into a compartment on his side and took something out and ate it which seemingly completely cleared his mind as he was much more focused and steady on his feet.
"What!?" midoirya cried out noting the change, before marking something in his notebook which he had been writing in the entire time for the reveals.
"Another benefit of my enhanced quirk was that my quirk now works on many things if I ingest 10g of calcium my bones would get stronger if I ingest 10g of protein can help his healing, and 10g of electrolytes increases my bodies efficiency with that I'm able to decrease the cooldown period between my sugar crashes like I just did now, but it isn't all upsides each of these come with their unique downsides like the electrolytes make him incredibly sweaty afterward." sato explained and he than proceeded back to sit down not without asking mineta if he couldn't make some ice for him just so his sweats didn't get too bad and he started to smell.
shoji his awakening was next as he already explained before he was calling it Buddha, it was a relatively simple explanation but it was still an incredible upgrade to his ability, it allowed him to summon his dupli-parts essentially on anything within 100 meters radius around himself and not only that he could enlargen those objects to be about 20 times their normal size, he showed this by forming an appendage mouth on all of his classmate's shoulders and spooked them by whispering into their ear which made almost all of them jump in surprise and some of them outright attacked it which admittedly made him flinch not due to the pain but as a reaction to the classmate's pain who attacked the appendage as they realized that damage that was done to the appendage hurt them instead of himself.
Earning a ticked-off yell from bakugo for his efforts. Shoji explained that if his duplicated appendage was coming from someone like he just did the damage to that appendage would extend to that individual almost like it was a part of them, however, if he creates his appendage from some object like a building or floor than his quirk remained the same and he would take a portion of the damage elicited to the appendage to himself so he still had to be rather mindful in using it carelessly. Shoji began to list some other caveats to the new ability firstly being that he needed to be able to see or know where a person was for him to grow an appendage out of them either way his awakening was a great boost to his scouting abilities and he was still trying to think up more ways that he could use it for the moment as he went to sit back down.
"Wait! Does that mean you can create a gia-" mineta question was quickly cut off by Jiro plucking the boy in the ear.
"Don't want to know neither does any of us want to find out," Jiro remarked on the approval of the class shoji was even a bit taken back by the question although he wasn't going to answer it as he went to sit back down.
"I won't lie, my mind went directly there with him, his quirk is that he could create a duplicate any body part right? I mean...it is technically a valid question." Jackie said with a not-so-subtle whistle causing Sero to laugh.
"Even if he could that's like something only for kinky people with gigantic quirks." Sero commented in addition.
"We are moving on from such vulgar conversations, heroes should not use their quirks in that way ever,, under no circumstances." Iida said as he got up and chopped the air rather aggressively.
"Iida is right we still have people that need to show off and I think it's time for Jiro to go," Kaminari said to the girl before hurriedly turning to look at the boy beside her, who tried to give off an innocent smile and for a moment he thought it worked before Jiro gave him her smile as well but that was just to give him a false sense of security as she took his hand and replied in agreement.
"Kaminari is completely correct and given he volunteered me that must mean he is also volunteering to be my assistant in showing it off," Jiro said with a sly smirk and kaminari's smile turned into a worried frown as she dragged him up into the center.
"wait, I mean can't we get Kirishima out here too?... I don't like the look on your face." kaminari remarked simply pulling on the neck of his collar as he looked around skeptically.
"NOOO!" Jiro's reply came in the form of a scream, the attack knocking the unsuspecting Kaminari completely off his feet and sent flying backward, midoirya had caught him and kept him from a hard landing with his black whip as Jiro went on to explain.
"Yeah, so it's essentially a smaller version of president mic's quirk a sonic shout. I termed it." Jiro offered with a small smile as she looked over to the discombobulated kaminari and everyone clapped for her achievement as she went to sit down.
Everyone had their moment to shine to show off their new awakenings so now the floor was now open to people who had already awakened but wanted to show off any new tricks that they might have learned so far with their time with them, the first to go up was toru and while the first thing she showed was her improved light manipulation being able to create some simple objects like chairs and bats out of light she also was able to do something even more unique now, as suddenly half of the people were able to see her and half of the class couldn't, she explained that due to her ability to still see light had to be hitting her eye at some frequency and if she could match the frequency with their own eyes then they would be able to see her as well without having to have her awakening activated.
she had gotten into a habit of calling her awakening ghost bubble and she has improved with it to the point where she had gotten over her previous weakness of it just being a massive sphere that made things invisible now she could condense it down to a smaller area no bigger than herself but not only that she can now also enshroud a person completely in it and have them be invisible without having to be near her as she demonstrated with Ojiro, she explained that the bubble can be manipulated to go around clothing as well so they didn't have to worry about being seen by their clothes, she wanted to see if there was a chance for her to completely get rid of her natural invisibility eventually but only time would tell for that she guessed.
Given that ojiro was up and toru's provocations, he guessed that he would go next, while he didn't want to at first but toru eventually wore him down and called his awakened state monkey mode and his tailless form was now being called great sage which thematically went better with his name she convinced him along with the tai shing martial arts he knew which after finding out further that it was a form of "monkey kung fu" so she though the name doubly fit and he didn't feel like arguing about it further and her logic was sound enough for him to adopt it.
while nothing changed mostly about these two forms he was still able to grow out his tail longer and shorter all he wanted, but he learned that he could now fuse his two tails into a single large one and after more coaxing from Toru revealed a partial fused form and in this partial fused state, he could fly by spinning his tails very quickly but the sight was as silly as he thought it is as some people held in chuckles from looking onwards but Toru was there to comfort him as he came back down as the two went on to show one of their combo attacks which were mostly just toru summoning a light staff in the form of Ruyi Jingu Bang which hammered on his name even more along with her being able to extend and enlarge the staff at her whim showing off a quick little thing that they had rehearsed together before taking a bow as the two went to sit back down.
Sero was the next one to show off all that he could do with his new awakening first by manifesting different tools made out of the tape that he controlled telepathically, which he then used to lift both himself and Jackie into the air and fly around with, Tokoyami remarked that his awakening reminded him of hawks fierce wings quirk and Sero agreed it was pretty similar to that now that he thought about it even taking things one step further and manifesting wings of his own to fly around in these were more in the shape of angel wings and Jackie immediately asked to fly like that as well and the two of them laughed and played while in the air, before coming back down and letting someone else take the stage, this person was Tokoyami, he explained that he was able to come up with a new technique which he called bestow it allowed shinning light to attached to someone else for a whole hour giving them the same benefits that he got when he donned the armour so flight, enhanced strength, speed, durability and things of that nature although he remarked that he still retains complete control of his quirk even while on loan to someone else.
Aoyama was the last person to show up in the spotlight but entered with his usual twirl of happiness and delight, while he didn't awaken his quirk like the rest of them his costume had gone under some more renovations that allowed it to be fully realized his invisible cloak was now fully functional which he thanked toru with the assistance of sweet mask told him that the association studying her skin cells had made a quantum leap of an improvement in their stealth technology. His suit also now had a field generator that could redirect his navel laser to completely enshroud himself in what he liked to call sparkling armor he remarked as his body thinned out with bright blue sparkly light before being dissipated back into his armor.
Given that no one else had something to show off everyone basically started parted off and started to experiment and ask more questions about the quirks well midoirya did while others typically just went around having fun where they could Mina called tsu and Kirishima over to have a picture session with all the horn people with mina new solid-state and tsu horned frog form producing proud new horns from their heads, and after being shoved into the situation by toru and shinning light tokoyami joined as well, shinning lights golden fleece armor was slightly malleable and could form into a full-on helmet design which included almost bull-like horns on his head if he so wished so he joined the picture club along with toru who manipulated light enough to form some makeshift horns on her head.
Aki, Torax, and Sigismund monster sol were all doing some mock battles against one another while koda watched over the boy's body and the monsters in question. Sato, Kirishima, and Ojiro all were comparing who was stronger among them in their maximum forms and while Kirishima still came out on top among them it was a near thing they realized well at least for ojiro and Kirishima, sato was trailing a bit behind but with his new ability, he was certain he could catch up eventually to the two of them.
Jackie was still curious about the robot drones from their world and asked Momo to create them again and that she wanted to fight them. Momo agreed to create a couple of them for the girl to take on after the match was fairly short-lived between the two the whirlwind completely cut through them like nothing and hearing the distant destruction sparked toru interest enough to try it out for herself while she knew that she had gotten much better since her time at the beginning of her school year she wanted to physically see it by battling the robots and it was definitely shown she was able to completely destroy the robots with her physical attacks and completely bisect the machines with not only her whirlwind but also her light manipulation abilities, feeling shinning lights power for that moment in time gave her an idea on how she could use her light manipulation a bit more creatively by spinning the light and getting it more "excited" in a sense she was able to generate heat which allowed her to essentially make any construct she creates a heated weapon which she could use to melt things or help her get through things she normally couldn't on her own strength.
Kaminari, Sero, and Mineta were busy discussing amongst themselves what had transpired with mina, their vision suddenly cut out but they could still hear the girl scream for a moment, and by the time they could see again said person was in different clothes which could only mean one thing mineta began to tell them but their discussion was quickly put on hold when mineta was suddenly thrown clear of their group with a focused sonic scream from Jiro, the other two looked over their shoulder with emberassed faces as both of their significant others looked at them with a stern expression but before the two girls could do much of anything sero had swiped both him and kaminari up and away into the air with his tape and away from the two gals and while technically Jiro could chase after them if she wanted to Jackie would have had to stay and follow them on foot but neither girl did that and for a moment they thought they were off the hook but Kaminari knew Jiro wasn't one to give up a moment to wack him good and that was proven when the girl had turned around to get momo's attention and asked something of the girl before pointing up at them and shockenly enough she conjured up a few weapons for the two of them to shoot at them while they were in mid-air causing both him and sero to panic a bit.
They weren't actual weapons that he's seen the girl use before but they were the cement gusn that gang orca used and while not life threating still would suck to get hit by. the two of them well technically mostly just sero dodged for the both of them zooming in and out of the way as best as his tape allowed him to while kaminari deployed his spectrum points just out in front of himself and sent his lightning into them forming a lighting net blocking the shots sent his way while sero used his tape to completely cover himself although the girls continued to try it out regardless and sero didn't fly out of range just so the games could continue.
Later that night
As the night began to ride into the air, the usual suspects had already left off to their training rooms with their partners, but all of them had taken the moment to say goodbye and good luck to Torax before they left out, the day was the time torax would leave out and join the monster association as another spy, they feared for the tiger safety but he was confident he would be alright. Aki had wanted to go with him but both he and koda advised against it the bear would be a liability for the most part torax remarked but koda phrased it mostly that she needed to still protect him in case something else happened while he was away. the girl had grown in strength over her time now she was considered in the upper middle portion of the tiger level threats or high tiger she was rated around .5 on the demon scale she and Kirishima always liked to spar with each other if the opportunity arises given how close the VGS machine had ranked them together. The two of them were saying their final goodbyes but torax had to request to talk to him privately before he left fully and koda accepted telling aki to stay by the house while the two move away elsewhere.
"you need to tell aikaiando the full truth about what happened to her father." torax remarked suddenly, the use of her real name completely flipped his mood if the statement hadn't already. he never forgot about his little half-truth he told her, and every time the ninja criminal was brought up or she had eaten another monster it silently gnawed at his mind but he never really figured a good opportunity to tell her about it and what made matters worst he didn't know how she would react.
"Given everything that's going on and the potential of you and your group leaving soon, it would be in your and her best interest to get it out of the way and move past it." torax continued.
"What...what if she gets violent?" koda asked murmuring.
"Given what we all been through I doubt that would happen, she may get mad but if you get her to understand your reasoning I'm sure it should be alright." Torax replied.
"and if she abandons us for the sake of the monsters?" koda questioned thinking back to that vision he saw of the two of them fighting.
"... Given the monster's goals, I doubt it. She doesn't hate humans, in general, you ensured that she doesn't but if she finds out on her own in some other fashion that could change. she would know that you had been lying to her and believe that humans can't be trusted after all." Torax replied and koda didn't respond but nodded his head.
"I'm being respectful to you by not telling her myself but I do expect her to know by the time I return or I will do so." Torax said with finality before taking his leave growing larger and running off and away into the night. Koda returned to the doorway in deep thought about how he should tell her rubbing the girl on the head all the while and faking the real topic they had discussed before heading inside and giving her a bite to eat before heading to bed for the night.
The monster's accomplice: Class 1A
It was the day after Torax had left for the monster hideout and it was confirmed by the bioreadings that torax had indeed made contact with a large mass of monsters, as suspected the monster hideout was definitely underground in some form or another but thankfully the transponder was working splendidly and the mapping of the base was beginning to work out the network but it will likely take some days for him to map the entire place out and find the hostage while remaining inconspicuous in the meanwhile the class was going about their normal hero activities for the moment but one of them was mentally preparing himself for the night events it was going to be a pivotal moment that would define not only the rest of his time here but his time back home as well his friends or if he could still call them that would all see his true self and be made aware of the wrongs he has committed what will they say he continuously wondered before stopping the thought cold it was no use in speculating as that would only lead him to thinking of the worst situations which was death I mean, it made sense, right? They could just blame it on the world they were in. There was also rejection, where they would all just completely cut him off and disown him. He didn't know if that hurt worse than death. No matter how he thought, he just knew that it likely wouldn't end up going well, but he still persevered with it, inspired not only by himself but also forced into it by Sweet Mask. There was another thing he thought about, but he had a vision of conflict.
~()~
Aoyama had been having visions about what would happen if he told them and what it would lead to. At first, he saw Bakugo attack him, which was to be expected given what happened because of him during the summer camp. Still, then there was also a vision of the entire class arguing and clashing amongst each other and even an all-out brawl just for his sake. But there was also a different vision, this one entirely different again. It involved Bakugo, but the location seemed familiar, almost like they were back home, but "Bakugo" was different; he transformed almost into a monster, and it wasn't just him. Iida, Kirishima, Koda, and even Silver Chain were there too, but with different changes; their bodies were different and abnormal, and he was no different. sprouting from his arm were shining blue crystals, but he couldn't see much else before the explosion came from Bakugo's mouth and darkness consumed him.
~()~
Aoyama didn't know what the secondary visions even meant; they were like a fever dream of abominations and his death. Did those events transpire because he told them, or did they happen because he didn't tell them? He didn't know, but it was too late to turn back now, as things were on a crash course for him to tell them the truth, led by none other than Sweet Mask himself.
A few days ago after their planned meeting on how to deal with the monster association in their plan of action, Sweet Mask had requested to use the VGS machine so that he could get a relative grasp on the monster midoriya had fought against and the benchmark that was carnage kabuto, Aoyama was there for the initial attempts Sweet Mask had made against the monster while the fight was somewhat close in the begining once the monster went into its carnage mode it went drastically into its favor sweet mask could do nothing against it, it was simply too much for him and after the fifth try and nearly breaking the device the star had taken a break but before he tried again he told Aoyama to leave the room, originally Aoyama just assumed that the star didn't like to reveal such a state to just about anyone him being frustrated, angry, and likely worst of all incapable of doing something that someone else could do was rubbing him the wrong way so Aoyama followed orders taking his leave and practicing by himself for around an half an hour before sweet mask made himself present again, the man's mood was a bit better than it was before but he still seemed to harbor some hatreds' or anger towards the device which he thrusted into his hands and wanted him to never show it in front of him again.
Aoyama wasn't the snoopy type, but his curiosity eventually got the better of him, and he questioned if Sweet Mask had eventually managed to beat the monster or not. Along with that, the VGS automatically made a copy of the user inside of itself, and he saw that Sweet Mask's number was just 1800, which was just shy of Carnage Kabuto's base form of 1500, which was just shy of Carnage Mode's 2000, so how did he beat it?
Was it some sort of secret technique that he didn't want him to see? but upon closer inspection of the Sweet Mask profile, he noted that he had a second option, which was strange as such an option was only resolved for people with a transformation of some kind, like Kabuto or Mosquito Girl, but here Sweet Mask had one as well. He hesitated for several moments before finally pressing the button, and he nearly dropped the machine once he saw it. The second option transformed the sweet mask into some hulking form; his face was squished; he had serrated teeth along with a squished pig-like nose; his head was misshapen, and his arms and legs were noticeably buckled up, with his shoulders and upper back sprouting some kind of hardened armor that held miniature spiky exteriors; and his hair was completely unkept and fizzled out into a mess of black.
The change was so radical that he swapped between the two of them multiple times; his number skyrocketed up to about 2400, which meant that he was stronger than Midoirya but weaker than Darkshine at 2500. the class was in a minor betting war about whether Sweet Mask was a monster or not dog man assumed that he was but torax an actual monster claimed that he was not which was essentially like having to expert on the field coming to different conclusions but he guessed that watchdog man was just that good and was correct after all, a cold sweat immediately went down Aoyama's back as he pondered about what he should do with this information he definitely couldn't tell anyone about it unless he risks sweet masks fury so he elected to just erase the data from the machine and simply act like he didn't see anything it should have been easy he has been acting this entire time what's one more on his plate he thought.
Well, he was proven wrong. The very next day, Sweet Mask picked up on his unusual observations, and under the harsh hero gaze, he simply had to admit to knowing about his secret. This garnered an expected reaction from the man, as he had suddenly canceled all of his remaining plans for the evening, nearly chocking him out while dragging him to his special trailer and throwing him against the wall, nearly knocking the thing off kilter with the force of the throw as he felt the entire space lean one way before coming back down to a complete stop.
Aoyama had wished he had been unconscious for that bit as he felt the pain and tangy taste of blood in the back of his throat he may have had a concussion at the moment but he couldn't know for sure but his attention was fully focused on the man in front of him while seemingly calm on the surface the number of tension and vein he could see on the men gave away what he was really feeling along with this invisible pressure that screamed at him to run away, that he had come to realize was blood lust, the intensity was so much that he thought that he might die right their from the shock and every step the man took almost seemed to make matters worst only raising his arms to protect himself while yelling out that he told no one and that only he knew about it and that he would never tell anyone, the killing intent somewhat lightened and he coudl finally look up at the star his mood wasn't to improved and Aoyama ligitamally feared for his life in that moment but the star seemingly calmed down enough to actually speak to him.
"How?" the star asked simply.
"The VGS machine makes a digital imprint of the users inside of it by default." Aoyama remarked
"And you did not warn me of such a feature because?" A sweet, menacing voice rang out in silent rage.
"Because..I... I hadn't thought it would have been a problem, but upon seeing it, I immediately deleted the data and told no one. I'm being honest; I didn't and wouldn't tell a single soul about this." Aoyama said, bending down to bow before the sweet mask, for the sweet mask part, he was still mentally panicking. He didn't know what he should do; every ounce of his being was to kill the boy. He simply knew too much already; he couldn't go on living and potentially leak things about himself or try to use it as leverage over him. But wait, if he had predicted his outburst and planned accordingly, he would not have made his behavior stranger than normal, as it was to tip him off that something was up.
So if he killed him, there is a chance the news would leak completely. Would he be able to cover it up if it came to that? or would people believe that blasted device then there was watchdog man who also believed him to be a monster so if he joined in then a whole city would be against him along with conspiracy theorist he would never be able to escape those rumors in that case so ultimately for now...he shall be patient he needed to ensure that all evidence be erased as thoroughly as possible before he committed to killing him, which meant that for the current moment, the best way to go about doing that is earning this person undying trust and loyalty to reveal it to him himself.
"I understand you're upset, but...how about a trade... I will tell you a secret that I kept from even my friends." Aoyama continued as he began to talk again after the silence, his head still planted on the ground, and while Sweet Mask could care very little of any secrets this boy had to offer, he had to play his role splendidly. If anything, this would be the most important role he needed to play for the rest of his life.
Aoyama felt the pressure lighten up almost completely, and as he felt the man's hand come up to the side of his face, he was still scared, so he instinctually still flinched away from it, but the star tried again, this time even gentler, and Aoyama allowed him. He didn't know when the star had retrieved a bag of ice in his time, but feeling the cooling sensation on the back of his head helped him become at least less scared to finally look the star in the eyes. He hovered over him with none of the anger or hate that he showed previously; it was just a warming smile.
"I'm sorry for my outburst just now. You know well how this world treats monsters, and having people know can be very harmful not only to me but to the entire hero association." Sweet Mask remarked, and Aoyama merely nodded his head. He allowed Sweet Mask to help him up, and just standing up sent a tingle through his body, and he nearly collapsed again, but Sweet Mask caught him and gently sat him down in one of the chairs once again, apologizing for his actions, even asking if he was doing alright, and while he was not, his head stopped ringing at least.
"No, it's understandable; keeping a secret like that must have been a huge burden you bear, like me," Aoyama mumbled. Sweet masked feigned curiosity about what the boy was talking about but sat down on the floor in front of the boy. This was the ultimate sign of submissiveness—that he could commit to looking up to someone as they spoke. Hopefully, the teen recognized the gesture and how significant it was.
"What is this secret you refer to?" A sweet mask asked.
"Well, the thing is, I'm also not who I seem to be. I was never a hero; I'm nothing but a dirty villain, a criminal, maybe even a monster," Aoayama said through teary eyes and a trembling tone, wearing a sweet mask while mostly faking being somewhat curious about where he was going with this.
"I... Since the very beginning, I have been lying to everyone I met in my class and school. Originally, I was a part of that 20% of people who were quirkless. I just wanted to be "normal" like everyone else, but to become like that, I, my parents, well, had to make a deal with the devil." Aoyama said, taking a brief pause.
"All for one." Sweet Mask said for him, and Aoyama nodded. Sweet Mask originally didn't care, but with this, he did feel somewhat connected to the boy; they shared a similar fate, it seemed.
"Yes, for my quirk, he wanted information about our class to capture Deku, and I gave it to him. Three times—three different times—I almost led my friends to their deaths by giving the villains information, and even despite that, I still pretended to be their friend. I assume you understand how I feel, but I want to ask how you handle it all. the constant lies and pretending to be something you are not." Aoyama remarked, his sweet mask flaring at the accusation, but he tried to remain calm, keeping the bulging veins in the back of his neck and not spreading to the front of his body where the boy would see them, instead offering a small smile before he replied.
"You've got things twisted; I was a hero before I became a monster, not vice versa; I simply continued to be a hero after monsterfying; I was still myself no matter what my body was." sweet mask announced proudly, Aoyama seemed saddened at the news. Good, sweet mask. Though they may share some similarities, his sin was greater than that of his own.
"Sweet Maks, do you believe that even with what I've done, I can still be a hero?" Aoyama asked honestly, and Sweet Mask wanted to immediately say no, but he was trying to get on the boy's good side, and he had to admit that the rated heroes were at least doing decent work more than he thought they would have done, although he still didn't trust them enough to think they were reliable. Well, thinking about it more, he rarely found most of the heroes reliable in the first place, if he was being honest.
"Well, in my opinion, no, but the public, and most importantly, your friends, may see it another way. The rated criminals are doing decent work as makeshift heroes, but that does not wipe away their crimes; they will still serve their sentences, and I imagine the same would happen for you if the truth is revealed, which you should start by telling them yourself." Sweet Mask remarked, earning a surprised gasp from the boy, and tears started to seep from his eyes.
"I don't know if I could do that; what if they abandoned me or worse?" Aoyama immediately said, and at that sweet mask, he completely chuckled at the implication that his friends were completely toothless and the heroes of their world didn't kill even their worst foes, so he held extreme doubt that they would just kill him outright for his betrayal.
"They wouldn't think of doing anything worse to you given their track record, but as for abandonment, you could always just stay here when they go home. Exile is usually a fitting punishment for a certain age of humanity. start over as a proper hero." Sweet Mask said, and he truly meant that in the sense that if they did abandon the boy here, he could just kill him off and be done with it to keep him quiet without any of the hassles that would be involved with the others.
"Thank you...for the offer...I." I'll keep it in mind. What do you consider a proper hero, if you don't mind me asking?" Aoyama said.
"I don't mind at all. What a proper hero means to me is someone who has an unshakable will, is elegant and charismatic, but is also, equally importantly, strong. This hero needs to have absolute strength—someone who can't be defeated. I aspire for this hero to be so great that his very existence creates a pillar in people's hearts." Sweet Mask spoke, his voice filling with passion as he thought about such a hero. The only one who came close to that was none other than Blast, but he has not seen or heard anything of the man for some time now.
"I see..what you just described was all might for us in our world," Aoyama said, and this directly got the person's attention. He had seen the simulation on the device and fought against this all-power that was just as strong as carnage kabuto, and he could admit that he held some of the qualities that he had just listed out, but he was missing the strength aspect. But given that their world and the majority of their villains never got past demon level, for the most part, he could see how, in their case, he would fit those criteria as well.
"So this all might be how he was active during his time?" A sweet mask asked.
"He was the strongest and brightest hero; he made everyone smile; he could do just about anything; and he inspired so many people to become heroes as well. He likely did more, but you would have better luck speaking to Deku; he was the greatest all-around fan among all of them in their class." Aoyama spoke for a moment before his thoughts came back down to the previous topic and his secret.
The two discussed some more, and Aoyama and Sweet Mask had agreed on what to do today. That very day, it was going to happen. At night, he would gather all of his classmates into the gym and tell them everything he would face, including the consequences of his actions, whatever they may be.
To that end, he had spent the day secluding himself from all of them, putting his phone on don't disturb, and feining that Sweet Mask had something for him—that he would be inaccessible all day long, but messaging them about the meeting he wants to hold between just the class, highlighting that it's important to everyone.
The rest of his day, Aoyama just spent mentally preparing himself for the event; his breathing was always unfocused and his mind was scattered. As the time drew closer and closer, he thought about canceling multiple times, but he figured that he couldn't just withdraw now, not that his sweet mask would let him. He even took time off to shadow him when his time came to tell his friends, just to ease his worries about anything violent happening, even though the hero was adamant that such a thing wouldn't transpire. Well, the moment finally arrived. Aoyama had arrived in the gymnasium 20 minutes before the others were told to arrive. His ragged breath and teary eyes were ever-present; he didn't bother to do his hair or wear make-up; he wanted to come off as completely authentic in both what he was talking about and himself.
he did several deep breathing exercises and even with that the sound of some of his classmates entering the gym made his skin crawl their mood was as ever enthusiastic despite the situation part of him wished that he had instead clued them in on the topic at hand for more them to come in with a proper atmosphere but it was too late for that now when he everyone seemed to have finally entered into the gym he had come in from the opposite direction from the shadows and approached them all of them were sitting down on the bleachers talking to each other until midoirya had noticed him first and soon the others turned and saw him as well and given his likely disheveled appearance a lot of them question what had happened to him some were even about to run up to him to more closely examining him but he held his hand out to signal for them to stop and remarked that he was..physically fine, taking the hint everyone sat back down and gave his his undivided attention he made his way towards a little further than halfway between them and stood at the center of the gym, he looked over all of them and waited again took a deep breath forcing back tears that were begining to form in his eyes.
"I called you all here to talk about back home," Aoyama began.
"Did Blast tell you something?" Kaminari remarked, and Kaminari quickly shook his head.
"No, it's... it's about the traitor..." Aoyama remarked and paused for a moment, getting his breathing together again as his hands balled into a fist and were released multiple times. He attempted to repress his body's attempts at squirming under their gaze, and he wanted to continue, but his mouth wouldn't open to continue with where he was going.
"What about the traitor?" Bakugo rough voiced out, spooking Aoyama a bit as he jumped back almost defensively. He did a quick scan of his classmates' faces, and almost all of them were grimacing in some way. He knew that ever since knowing of a traitor, it had become fairly taboo to discuss or speculate about it, but here he was.
"The traitor... is me. I am the traitor!" Aoyama murmured before saying it again, this time louder, almost empowered by saying it once already, but the energy was completely gone in that next moment, and he heard several gasps being spread amongst his classmates, but he didn't dare look up at them.
"the-this is a joke, right? Aoyama?" Kaminari remarked first with a nervous chuckle, but Aoyama just shook his head while continually looking down at the floor. Aoyama heard the multiple rumbles start to rut from his class; the words that he could pick up were not very kind to him, which he expected.
"Aoyama, did he implant you with a bomb or something like that? how long?" He heard the voice of Kirishima speak out. It was a hopeful thought, giving him somewhat of an out for his betrayal, but he couldn't take it; he wouldn't lie to them anymore, so he shook his head once again. Tears he tried to hold back slowly started to fall.
"No...No I... I never had a bomb implanted in me; the only thing anyone ever gave me was my quirk. I just wanted to be normal, like everyone else. I never wanted to hurt anyone. No, ever since I joined UA, you could say that I did nothing but hurt people at the UA training grounds, the summer camp, and the last battle at the school itself. All three of those incidents were my fault. I'm not a hero but a villain." Aoyama stated it abruptly, which stunned the class into a large silence.
"Bu-but why? if you weren't in danger of dying why did you do it, Aoyama? " Iida yelled out, aoyama hesitated before responding.
"I...we were just scared, what would all for one do to us if we were to refuse his orders, we just felt that we couldn't do anything but follow along for our safety."
"At the expense of ours!?" he heard the angered voice of Jiro comment suddenly along with a sudden impact on his chest that took him off his feet and back a couple of steps the attack wasn't on purpose she was just rightly emotional and still getting the hang of her powers but she likely didn't feel bad about it, Aoyama held his hand out and his hand open signaling that sweet mask shouldn't enter just yet in case the man would act.
Most of the class were more emboldened to speak their thoughts about the matter shouting at him all at once their anger merging into a mostly unintelligible mob that he couldn't quite decipher the message was clearly negative but he still didn't meet their eyes, but the voices suddenly stopped when he felt a wind grace his features he was still looking at the floor and could tell by the shoes the person that had approached him was none other then.
"Midoirya...I'm sorry…I'm so sorry I-"
"Did you know, about it? The plan to kidnap all might and steal era's power?" midoirya's voice came out interrupting him, the voice was stern, calm and almost understanding Aoyama looked up for the first time when speaking and ferociously shook his head no.
"I didn't know anything about that, that must have been something new, I didn't know anything about taking us here either that was all new, I promise," Aoyama said hurridly and midoriya nodded his head before doing something completely unexpected, and hugged him?
"I don't think that you're a villain, Aoyama, you were just given a bad hand, I didn't piece it together, that time outside on my balcony it was an S.O.S. you knew about one for all this entire time. I'm sorry I didn't notice faster, I know you probably regret what you did but I still think you can be a hero." Midoirya said.
Aoyama let his tears fully fly down his face as he wrapped his arms around midoirya, and cried his eyes out, while likely not everyone would forgive him having midoirya do so made him so happy, and hearing that he believed he could still be a hero meant the world to him, he was so overcome with emotion that his tears kept coming from his face but as he looked at what the faces of his other classmates were a miracle happened as suddenly out of his eyes emerged his beams similar to his navel laser but it was completely poor timing for an awakening as they were aimed directly at his classmates.
Thankfully toru was there for them redirecting the beam away from anyone but not just away no she had actually sent it directly back towards him and it almost threatened to strike him in the head although it was suddenly averted upwards and from what he could see it wasn't from the girls doing herself but her boyfriend ojiro's who had grabbed her wrist and aimed the attack upwards by moving her arm, the attack clang on the rooftop of the building and Midoriya watched as it went before looking back down at him.
"Remember what you told me before we got here about making that power your own? I think you just did." midoriya commented, Aoyama was still wiping the tears from his face as he simply nodded his head. midoirya turned away from him but kept a hand on his shoulder as he turned to address the rest of his classmates, Aoyama finally cleared his vision enough to see the rest of his classmates some were looking at him with sympathy, some were still rightfully angry, and then others were a mix between the two, he was surprised that bakugo had remained quiet amongst them he was thinking that he would be the first one to pop off but he seemed to be staring at not only him but midoirya as well what was he thinking he wondered, he was teetering on the edge of a simmering fury but he was being more thoughtful on the matter he guessed.
"Given that Aoyama just awakened now we can be pretty confident in that he is telling the truth. I won't tell you how to feel about his actions you can come up with your own opinions on the matter but I will say that Aoyama was just another of people manipulated by all for one and not the only hero either, during my time away I fought another hero called lady nagant she was essentially Hawkes predecessor." this earned some shocked looks from the class as a whole.
"Why would she team up with all for one?" Tokoyami questioned
"The same reason that anyone joins up with him, they were ostracized by society in some shape or form, he takes that moment of hatred and not only twists it but amplifies it just as he does with others." Midoriya remarked simply and the class sat in silent contemplation for a moment.
"I think I can see what you mean, the same can be said Togatoga...I don't know how to describe it but at the end of the war she wanted to talk to me and asked "What did I want to do to her" At first I simply brushed it off as her just being crazy but having thought about it since. her friend Jin or double had just been killed so she was likely questioning if I wanted to do the same to her." uraraka said.
"I don't think a mass murderer has the right to be sad that her friend was killed. ribbit" asui stated indeifferent.
"I'm not saying this to excuse her actions but I guess I just don't know I just want to understand her, midoirya toga says that she loves you, maybe even in the same sense that I do...but her definition of "love" is violent, and harmful, she believes that using her quirk and becoming that person is the greatest expression of her love. maybe if she had someone to help her when she was younger instead of one for all ...then maybe things could have been different. " Uraraka stated
"Are you saying that she is misunderstood because of her quirk? I'm not completely buying it. Bakugo's quirk is explosions and you don't see him trying to blow things up all the time." Kirishima argued.
"A person's personality can be shaped by some factors which include quirks but its mostly their environment. Given that it was a quirk related to blood it was likely she was seen as "creepy" as a child. I experienced something similar with my avian features" tokoyami added on, and this jogged midoirya's memory of something garou had told him before about the mutant quirk holders in their group so he stopped his mild blushing not only to Toga's feelings but uraraka likely unwittingly saying she loved him to address that point.
"There is also...spinner the mutant quirk leader that had gathered a mass following of like-minded individuals...tokoyami, shoji, koda do you guys have any thoughts about him?" midoirya asked and all eyes shifted to those three who were huddled together, the first thing that happened before any of the three spoke was that shoji had removed his mask shocking everyone by the disfigurement around his mouth.
"I've discussed the topic with Tokoyami, Koda, and Ojiro along briefly with asui.. our general thoughts are that while we can understand his anger mutant quirk discrimination is still as rampant as ever, those that are born and raised in the cities may not think so but in the outer sections townspeople still think of mutant quirks as "impure" which can lead to some less than welcoming situations." shoji remarked as he graced the edge of his jaw with his hand, making some people wince in concern.
"Spinner said that he was inspired by Stain who was also a killer for what he believed in and was simply following in his footsteps, I think he believed that the progress around mutant discrimination was just progressing too slowly and wanted to change to occur quicker by acting out more violently at least that's what I got from the videos he has published before we left. " tokoyami added on.
"But it only leads to the opposite taking effect, if the mutants take up arms now, especially under the guidance of all for one... then people will only fear and potentially hate them even more, leading to even more prejudice" Ojiro commented.
"So you're saying it's society's fault Spinner turned out the way he did? but then how does that describe the mutants in our class especially you Shoji? " Mina asked.
"Revenge is an easy slope to slip down and get lost in if you felt you were wronged unjustly than even more so especially if it was just by existing" Iida commented and everyone understood what he was referring to, given his experience with going after Stain for revenge against his brother.
"Iida is right, revenge can be an easy road to fall and get trapped in and as I said before the mutant experience depends mostly on where you live which will affect how you are treated. for myself despite growing up in such an antagonistic environment I used that instead as a drive to become a hero, it's one of the reasons I decided to wear a mask so that people wouldn't look at me as if I were out for revenge or spiteful. I wanted to be a hero to continue carrying the torch of those before me, I want to bring happiness to others and hopefully, with that help alter people's perception of heteromorpShojihoji remarked, which gained a few claps from certain classmates, even some like mineta, sero, koda, all rushing to hug him.
"That's why I would find it important to stop him and if possible maybe turn his actions into a force for good. at the rate things are going back home I fear that our world could become like this one "humans" but heteromorphs in place of monsters." tokoyami commented a bit grimly.
"the..there were also the nightmares," Koda mumbled and sero immediately questioned what the boy was talking about.
"Originally when we got here Koda, Shoji, and I had a few nightmares about this place, we were on the run from heroes given our heteromorphic traits but they have faded since the first month." shoji answered for him and Koda nodded in confirmation. there was a brief moment of silence as no one really spoke next and everyone just digested the information that was just said while looking over to Aoyama all the while the boy had stopped crying but his face was still riddled with guilt midoriya absorbed every word and contained to think about it but more importantly, if there was anything they could do about the problem but prejudice wasn't something you could fight conventionally no matter what he did it would likely exist so he would need to simply not ignore it like his predecessors did after the business with all for one was settled. the silence dragged on for a couple more minutes and midoriya spoke again.
"I feel somewhat similar towards shigara-"
"What! don't you even think about-"
"Bakugo, please let me finish first, I was going to say that while I feel similarly towards shigaraki when he touched my face during the war I saw him inside of the vestige realm, I could see all for one attached to him controlling him like a puppet he looked so sad, that I just wanted to extend my hand to help him I know that I can never forgive him for what he's done but...I still want to save him If I can." midoriya remarked interrupting Bakugo's interruption, his saying bakugo's name tipped the explosive teen to hold his tongue for the moment but he seemed even more agitated but he remained quiet for the moment, bakugo wasn't the only one that was a bit put off by the sentiment and some peoples faces changed somewhat from it and he could tell from his danger sense that certain individuals didn't take well to that. there was another stint of silence before another person spoke his thoughts on the villain from their world and this one was also a surprise to them all.
"My brother Toya...I doubt that he was manipulated by anyone but my father, all for one likely only gave him the tools and resources to achieve his goals which were to hurt him and me... the reason why I'm hesitant to use my blue flames is not that it reminds me of him...it's due to it proving to him that my father succeeded in creating his "masterpiece", Toya hates my father for abandoning him but he hates me for getting all of his attention. Aoyama my brother is a criminal who has personally admitted to killing 30 people but even with that I do not hate him and still wish to speak with him and therefore I don't hate you for what you did." Todoroki commented people were stunned to silence given what they just heard him say before slowly bit by bit others also voiced their support starting with sero, remarking that given what he did here with Lord great white he had no right to complain or cast judgment on him, Ojiro, Koda, Tokoyami, uraraka, Iida, and Mineta also voiced their support to forgive him and went up to stand beside him, making the boy start to tear up again but not everyone was so sure the rest of the people looked for a long tense moment at each other.
This tension was popped by Bakugo who stood up but he didn't go to join the people next to Aoyama he simply walked out of the gym which caused a cascading effect for the others who were also still sitting to walk out as well after him. Aoyama hadn't expected any of them to forgive him for what he did so despite not all of them giving him having half of the class do so was a welcoming surprise that he would honor and while he told them that they didn't need to, others told him that they would talk to the others for him and try and get them to calm down when Aoyama suggested that maybe he should leave out again for a while the others advised against it and midoirya remarked that the others didn't outright hate him and that he could feel it with his danger sense they were just a bit conflicted half of the class discussed some more about Aoyama, his awakening, and as they were leaving koda remarked that he would need their help in telling aki the truth tomorrow and they all gave him their support in doing so but for now everyone was going to separate and talk to the people that had left already while Aoyama went to off to tell sweet mask he was free to go although he was sure that the star was likely already gone.
Ojiro & Toru
Ojiro was a bit nervous about where he was going when he went to stand up to signify that he too was forgiving Aoyama he felt a tug on his arm, he didn't really need to see her face to guess the expression she was giving him at that moment she was particularly not pleased about the whole ordeal especially given that she was about to directly hit Aoyama with his own attack if he didn't stop her, he didn't know if he could resist his own attacks but he didn't want to find out, the next reason he knew that he was essentially in the dog house was her teary face when she had left the gym, given that no one else reacted to it he guessed she used her invis-sight on him to only allow him to see her and she mouthed to him to go to their old training grounds. As he stepped into the training grounds, he could already hear the sounds of training bags being punched or cut down. He could also hear the whirlwind of the whirlwind iron-cutting fist being struck again and again. If he wasn't so worried, he might have been impressed, but he sucked in a breath and entered the room completely. He could tell that Toru had her awakening activated as he did so, given that he was openly able to see her just fine as he approached. There was another sound of whirling wind before the dummy in front of her dropped down into pieces as she just stood there with her fist clenched.
"So you all done with your villain pity party?" Toru remarked with a tone full of bitterness.
"Toru, it's not like..."
"It's not like what? He was sitting there in class laughing and playing with the rest of us, and all the while he was stabbing us in the back!" Toru snapped back, turning around to face him. He could see the tears falling from her face, but as he moved closer to wipe them away, she took a step back from him to keep her distance, wiping the tears away herself before crossing her arms over her chest.
"And you expect me to just forgive him like that just because he finally admitted it? It would be one thing if he just kept to himself and didn't try to make friends or something, but no, he went out of his way to put on a whole facade just to get us to trust him," Toru remarked angrily.
"I don't think it was entirely a facade. He seems to care for us, which is why he told us now out of his own volition." Ojiro remarked, taking a step forward.
"What am I supposed to reward him for or something? Thanks for telling us that you were the reason our school life was chock-full of life-threatening events." Toru said it sarcastically.
"No, no, that's not what I'm saying. Look, I'm not saying that you should have to like him or even forgive him for what he's done. But given his circumstances, don't you think he deserves at least some slack? He was given his quirk by all for one; after all, you saw the type of monsters he can create." Ojiro remarked, taking another step forward.
"And whose fault is that? He willingly chose to accept his quirk, didn't he?" Toru responded immediately, completely indignant.
"Maybe, but he just wanted to be normal like everyone else. Could you imagine what it's like to be quirkless in our world? Even better, are you saying you never once disliked your quirk when you were growing up? I did, and there were moments in my life where I wished I could switch mine out for something else, something less "ordinary," Oiro remarked, and Toru took a moment to think about her life, and after a moment she realized that it was true. She had thought that once, well, a couple of times really, but she would like to believe she wouldn't have made a deal with the boogie man to change it. However, sometimes those phases were really bad, and she could never know that for sure, she thought. She felt Ojiro hug her, and she returned it, letting one last tear drop down her face.
"As I said before, you don't have to forgive him; I don't completely forgive him. I understand his reason for doing what he did, and now that we all know, we just need to find out what we're going to do going forward."Ojiro said, cradling her and rubbing the back of the girl's head, but Toru didn't reply. He only laid her head on his chest and relaxed to the sound of his heartbeat.
Mineta, Kaminari, and Jiro
Kaminari and Jiro were both lounging out in one of the hero association lounges next to a large transparent window that showed outside of the base. The two were so preoccupied with their cuddling and looking out the window that they didn't notice their smaller classmates coming up next to them until he said something surprising the two of them out of their stupor. Kaminari was still somewhat friendly with him, going off his slight smile, but Jiro was more annoyed by his presence, although he wondered if that was due to what happened or just her normal reaction to himself.
"What's up?" Kaminari asked.
"Well, you guys kind of all just walked out, so some of us wanted to come to check up on all of you," Mineta remarked, hesitantly opting not to look at Jiro in the eyes. She was not pleased with the moment in his presence or the topic at hand.
"Oh, you mean, you guys comforting the guy that nearly got us killed nearly three times? Yeah, other than that, we're doing fine." Jiro commented dryly next to Kaminari. Mineta let out a nervous chuckle at that.
"Yeah, about that. While he may have done that, I don't think he did it out of malice; we saw how scary Shigaraki is, right? Now think of all of them for oneself; if he told you to do something, you do it..or else," Mineta tried to reason. Jiro just hailed at that, but Kaminari wrapped an arm around her as he responded.
"I get that; trust me, I'm probably like the third largest scaredy cat in class; you should have seen before the fight at the liberation army. But this is different, I guess; we had all might at the school, and people could or would have died without him, and it would just be his fault." kaminari said.
"It's not that I don't sympathize with him; he thought that his hands were tied, so he let himself be manipulated to protect the people he most cares about. I won't pretend like I wouldn't do the same, but that doesn't excuse his actions, and just because he admitted it doesn't mean he deserves forgiveness. I don't hate him exactly, but I'll just need some time to come to terms with it all." Jiro added on.
"Yeah, what she said," Kaminari added.
Mineta understood where the two were coming from and soon left the two by themselves for the night.
Todoroki, Momo
Todoroki was partially surprised to find that Momo had gone down to a training arena that featured a gun range, but given that she was training with weapons, he didn't find it too surprising. The girl also explained that shooting a firearm was also rather relieving in a way, given the feeling of the recoil and power of the shot fired along with the exhilaration. So while she was firing off down the road, she completely focused on her task at hand before firing round after round of bullets from her pistol.
If he were a betting person, it was also likely that she was doubling her training by using her conjuring ability instead of crafting the gun in reality. He waited a brief moment, not wanting to disturb her concentration, but seeing that she essentially had infinite ammo, he opted to let her know that he was there by shooting off a small flame that went down the range. But petering out before actually hitting the target didn't feel like dealing with the clean-up of burning paper, but his tactic worked. Momo noticed he was there and stepped out of the booth. She was taking out her sound-reducing earpads, and he expected both those and her gun to disappear into thin air as she approached him.
"Todoroki, since you are here, I assume everything has been settled then." Momo remarked, and Todoroki nodded, although he didn't know if the girl was just caring like she was or just deflecting from the main topic at hand.
"Yes, everyone that stuck around is doing fine. We were more concerned about how the rest of you were doing, and given that you all left early, it's safe to assume that you all have your disagreements." todoroki explained.
"You could say that... I just... I don't know... I don't think I could forgive him for what he's done and what he's put us through, even despite his reasons. So many things could have been avoided or at least different than they are now." Momo remarked with a bit of hesitation, running a hand through her hair as she spoke, looking away from Todoroki.
"I'm not one to look at hypotheticals; looking at the world that way tends to not be the best, and even when I did, I still don't think this or what Aoyama did is what I'd want to change." Todoroki explained, and Momo snapped back to look at him, hesitating for a moment before replying.
"Are you sure? If Aoyama had warned us or at least given off hints of something being amiss, we may have been able to capture Toya along with the other league of villains during our summer camp training." Momo countered, and it was Todoroki's turn to pause, plunging the two into a brief moment of silence as he pondered his reply.
"That was one of the first things that popped into my mind when I heard him say that, but I'm uncertain. Despite what has happened, the one good thing that has come from Toya doing what he's done is that our family has never been more united than they are now. which is a pretty selfish thing to say on the matter, but that's just how I feel, I guess." Todoroki remarked, simply summoning a small blue flame from his finger as he spoke.
"I see," Momo remarked, simply looking down and away. There was another brief silence between the two.
"I don't think how you feel is unreasonable; it's justified even, but I do think we can give him a second chance, a chance to help clean up the mess he made similar to my father, but the choice is ultimately yours to make either way; I don't think there is an objectively correct answer," Todoroki stated before he was about to make his way out, but Momo stopped him, grabbing a hold of his wrist.
"You don't have to leave if you don't want to," Momo remarked, making Todoroki hold in place and giving the girl a small smirk.
"Then I'll stay as long as you will have me." todoroki replied.
Iida, Sato
Iida had managed to catch up to Sato and talk for a couple of moments. Sato was found in the nearest kitchen; just making a small cup of hot chocolate, baking, or making something always made him relaxed in stressed situations, reminding him of his family life back home, which led him into a circle of anxiety thinking about his family, which leads back to the Aoyama confession.
Iida and Sato discussed the topic, and while not completely enraged with the man for what he's done given who was giving him orders, it still felt like such a bitter slap in the face to experience firsthand, especially after everything that happened because of it. Iida remarked that he too feels at fault given that he was the class president and he didn't have any clue about Aoyama's plight. Because of that, he wanted to redouble his efforts to take his role even more seriously than before, and he wanted to start with Sato.
Although Sato didn't hold much baggage he wanted to share, he did share the torture the being that sent him there had put him through, which was tangentially related to the current discussions. He explained to the class president that the being had shown them essentially that their class was split in half and mad at each other—not just mad; they were furious against each other, which eventually evolved to them destroying each other. He feared that this thing with Aoyama would lead to a similar result, but the people who left weren't mad enough, or at least he wanted to believe that. Iida shared a similar sentiment about the class: while they may be in disagreement with how to proceed with Aoyama, he believed that everyone would come to their conclusions and come together again, but when Sato asked if things would return to how they were before, Iida honestly answered that he doubts it would, and to that, they both drank their cocoa, ruminating on that thought.
Sero, Kirishima, and Mina
Sero went looking for the pink and red duo, and his first place to look was the weight room proved to be the correct choice as he found both of them there, both of them were pretty sweaty and if the mood was a bit lighter he may have made a joke about them doing some other type of physical activity but instead he simply made a joke for the gym head working out their frustrations like true gym rats he quipped instead and while no laughs had presented themselves or even chuckle he did get their attention which was good enough he guessed as he gestured them over to a table in the room and given their state he had uses his quirk to get them both two bottles of water from the mini-fridge in the corner.
"You know your problem is not just going to disappear if you pump enough steel," Sero remarked with a small chuckle
"Do you need something?" Mina said with a roll of her eyes. oof a tough crowd, sero thought.
"Well, the guys that hung around a bit more wanted to check up on the rest of you. For what it's worth, Aoyama is very guilty for what he's done." sero remarked,
"Is that supposed to make up for what he's done?" Mina replied immediately, causing Sero to put his hand up in mock surrender.
"No, no, but maybe he can be cut some slack; isn't it the manly thing to do to turn the other cheek at things like this?" Sero commented, and Mina seemed even more agitated at that comment, but luckily Kirishima spoke first, cutting off her reply before a sound came out.
"If it wasn't something this big, then maybe, hell, maybe even if he had a good reason to continue to do it but he was just "scared," he was willing to sell us all out just because he was scared? Forget about being a traitor; can he even be a hero like that? We're all scared, but we pushed past that to keep going, and that's what makes us heroes, right?" Kirishima questioned, balling his fist for a moment before releasing it.
"Yeah, Kiri's right; think about it: where was Aoyama during the UA incident, where was he during most of the training camp incident, and where was he during the last fight at UA's front door? He always finds a convenient way to disappear when the villains attack, which leads me to believe that he knew about them and got out of dodge before things kicked off." Mina added with bitterness in her voice, Sero didn't think about that, and she did raise a valid point, as he guessed.
"He was taking orders directly from all for one, though. Can you blame the guy for following orders so obediently? Some people don't have the iron-hard will that you two seem to have. and he had to hang with that fear ever since he was 10 years old." Sero tried to raise his defense, and for a moment, both Kirishima and Mina glanced at each other and locked eyes. Kirishima knew what she was probably thinking about, which was her flub against Giagantomachia and himself thinking of his younger time against that very same foe, but there was also that moment when he went to save Bakugo. He felt all for one presence that day. The terror and fear it inspired were suffocating and memorable. Having that hanging over you for 5–6 years, he couldn't imagine what it would do. Kirishima let out a long sigh.
"I guess you have a point there, but I still think he should have had more trust in not only us but the heroes around him; we maybe could have done something to help him," Kirishima remarked, and Mina nodded along.
"I agree as well, but we can't change what happened in the past; we can only look to the future now and still be living with the guy, so we should attempt to get along." sero said.
"I guess," Mina remarked dryly.
"If he put in the effort to make up for his mistakes, then sure, I can acknowledge that it's a huge step to just come out and tell us straight up so he still has some respect left in my eyes," Kirishima said, and Sero guessed that was the best he could do for the guy, and with that, he bid his farewell or he would have if the two of them didn't force him to stay and ensure that he pumps iron along with them for the remainder of their time, and he could sure use the workout he guessed when he found that Mina could beat him in the arm wrestling contest he had been meaning to get a few works out in.
Asui, Uraraka, Tokoyami
Asui didn't wait around the building like the others did instead opting to take a walk outside of the complex taking a roundabout way of getting home, what she didn't expect was to suddenly hear uraraka's voice call down from above her as she felt the girl land softly on her back taking her completely off guard.
"Uraraka!? ribbit?" tsu remarked suddenly turning around to look at the brunette
"Tsu, we were worried about you so we came to check in to see if you were okay?" Uraraka remarked,
"We? Ribbit?" tsu remarked, quizically placing a finger to her chin in her usual pose the soft landing behind her and the voice of the next person to speak clued her in on who that another person was.
"hi, Tsu! we're here too! Even though Mister Grumpy here didn't want to come along." the voice of dark shadow energetic voice came through as well.
"I simply didn't want to include myself in conversations between the two of them." tokoyami told the shadow creature.
"Your input would be just as good as mine, Tokoyami." uraraka remarked.
"I think your view is often insightful as well Tokoyami." Asui remarked.
"See!" both Uraraka and Dark Shadow said at the same time. Tokoyami just nodded his head in understanding and dark shadow quickly retracted back inside of him after getting closer to the two girls to discuss what they wanted to talk about. The three of them decided to continue with their walk as they talked.
"So I'm guessing you guys are here to talk more about Aoyama?" asui asked.
"Indeed." tokoyami said and uraraka nodded.
"I can understand where he's coming from trust me I do but...I don't know...he's the root cause of all the bad things that happened to us." tsu remarked balling her hands into a fist.
"yeah, but we're heroes, right? we would have to face a dangerous situation eventually." Uraraka remarked.
"true but we were well, still students, could you sit here and say that if during one of those attacks, someone would have died?" Tsu asked pressing the attention back onto her, and at that, Uraraka was completely silenced as she struggled to come up with a reply to that in all honesty if someone had died during those times then..she could see where she was coming from, Tsu than turned her attention to tokoyami.
"I'm surprised that you don't feel any bitterness towards him tokoyami, you were nearly kidnapped along with bakugo during summer camp." Asui remarked looking at the dark teen.
"You would be correct but it was also his actions that saved me that day." Tokoyami replied
"Does it count as "saving" if he was the reason that you were in danger in the first place? Ribbit." Tsu presented.
"A valid point, however, he still saved me nonetheless highlighting that he wasn't completely a spy for all for one, he told us that he was simply an informant so he too was also in danger during those instances. he was likely seen as a disposable pawn." tokoyami replied.
"I'm not sure that makes it much better. ribbit" asui remarked looking away towards the distance.
"Don't you think him putting up the effort of protecting us signify that he at least didn't want us to get hurt during those times he didn't know exactly what all for one was going to do with the information. He even protected both Jiro and toru during that incident. even if he was a spy and the cause of what happened I'm sure he would still fight to protect us." Uraraka remarked suddenly finding her voice again, she couldn't find an answer to tsu question so she opted to move past it.
"Maybe but I don't think I could forgive him just because he tried to minimize the harm that he advertently or inadvertently caused. I mean he's the reason we're here in the first place, who knows what's happening back in our world now that we're gone more precisely midoriya. ribbit" asui replied. and both uraraka and tokoyami grimaced at that fact but it was tokoyami that responded first.
"I think that's completely fair to say, you don't have to forgive him at all in fact when the truth is revealed to the world he will likely be imprisoned and sentenced to the fullest extent of the law and I would support it myself, but I think it's also important to recognize the true villain that was manipulating him from behind the scenes." Tokoyami stated.
"yeah, all for one is still the root cause of all well, most of the problems happening back home and we need to have all our attention in stopping him when we get back." uraraka added.
"Well, I can at least agree to that. ribbit" asui said with a small smile, at that dark shadow had reemerged and closed the three of them in a group hug, the proximity to the two girls was a bit much for tokoyami as he rather abruptly demanded that the shadow creature release them.
Silverchain, Bakugo, Midoriya
Midoriya was continuing down the hallways of the associations; he didn't need to have his danger sense constantly active to know where he was going to find Bakugo. The small, miniature rumblings of the explosion told him everything he needed to know about where his friend was, but as he approached, his danger sense flared again, and he activated his full cowling up to 100%. remembering Mina and Toru's experience with trying to peek in on Bakugo and Silver Chains training time, although the woman's clone didn't directly attack him; instead, the clone of the girl merely stopped in front of him, likely recognizing it was him. It paused for a moment before sticking a hand out and shaking its head, which highlighted to him that Bakugo didn't want to be disturbed by anyone for the moment, so he would wait. Bakugo was usually stubborn, and going off the rapid and powerful amount of explosions he was using, he guessed that he was angry—at least more than he is usually—so he would wait outside until he calmed down.
Bakugo was currently attacking silver chain with all he had, he still had never managed to beat the girl and he could count on the number of fingers he had on the number of times that he actually managed to land a hit against her although he wondered if she merely gave him those hits for free given just to give him some motivation to keep him going but thinking that only really made him angrier, but even despite that thing progressed just how they usually did he would attack with all he had almost completely forgoing his normal attacks almost entirely focusing on using nothing but his clusters attacks well as much as it could before it started to become too much but it didn't matter the girl was just to fast for him, he could barely spot the silver before her attacks landed and he could only brace for the impact again and again, he through all of his frustation and anger into the attacks but it didn't matter and in her words only made him more "managble" whatever that meant but she explaiend that he became more predictable which he took as a challege towards him so for his next attack he did something completely diffeferent then he would normally, using his time bomb attack all over himself before charging forwards at the girl like a rapid suicide bomber.
Of course, she could easily avoid him, but she wanted to test her limits as well, so she waited in that exact spot until he got there and exploded to move. Of course, she was fast enough to avoid his charge, but he expected that he merely used the charge as a cover as he collected multiple C4 explosives under himself and set them off, launching him at extreme speed towards her, but she was still able to react in time, grabbing his wrist before he could fire off an explosion, redirecting it upwards instead of flipping their position and slamming him into a wall with a blade drawn to his neck.
"You're angry? Did something happen?" She asked, but Bakugo didn't respond immediately, and despite knowing that he couldn't, he attempted to overpower the girl, but her hand didn't budge. Even though his other hand was free, the blade to his throat meant that he was essentially in checkmate, so he sucked his teeth before responding.
"I guess you could say that... I yield." Bakugo remarked, and the ninja let his wrist go and twisted and spun it around for a moment, clearing up the pain before he continued looking up at the ninja that waited patiently for him.
"Have you ever been betrayed before?" Bakugo asked first.
"A handful of times," Silverchain replied.
"And what did you do to them?" bakugo asked
"Killed them," Silver Chain remarked so quickly and normal, that Bakugo couldn't help but laugh.
"Well, I guess that shouldn't have been much of a surprise, but I can't do that no matter how much I feel like I want to. Let me rephrase: What if this person who betrayed you was someone relatively close to you, like in your clan or whatever?" bakugo asked.
"Kill them. If they were someone I was extremely disheartened to kill, I would kill them and then proceed to kill myself." The ninja commented again, adding on to the second part. After a moment's pause, Bakugo was rather surprised to hear that he was being honest, and it seemed a bit contradictory, but he guessed that she was indoctrinated in her little clan enough to still carry out her mission even if she felt strongly against it, which he guessed showed her resolve and loyalty. But at this point, he was just stalling and thinking about stuff. Bakugo quickly yelled for the midoriya to come inside.
"Would you like for me to leave?" Silverchain asked.
"Would you actually leave or just eavesdrop on us anyway?" Bakugo questioned him back.
"Fair point, how did you know it was him that came?" silver chain said and confirmed his hypothesis, making a smirk edge at his lips before it fell away at her question.
"He's the only idiot dumb enough to come to follow me." Bakugo remarked simply but added in the thought of the people who hadn't already walked out. There was a chance it could have been Sero, but it would need to be Midoriya if things were to get anywhere, just like everything else seemed to revolve around his pesky rival.
Midoirya walked into the arena behind the clone of silverchain that quickly blitzed back over to her real body and simply disappeared...somewhere. He never got where the clones went when they were dismissed; he remembered at the beach that they went into her hair, but could that have been tricked of some kind? Did she have them contained inside something on her back instead? But he left those thoughts behind as Midoirya made his tentative way over to the two of them. Midoirya cast a glance between him and then to Silverchain and back towards him. Bakugo, catching the hint, simply told the nerd that she was there to say something and that he should hurry up and say what he had to say so they could get on with what they were doing. while Midoirya was surprised by that, but he nodded his head and proceeded.
"Well... I just wanted to check up on you to see if you were doing okay," Midoirya remarked.
"Why the hell wouldn't I be? "I'm doing just fine!" Bakugo replied in his usually angered yell, but Midoriya didn't flinch away but only looked at Bakugo with a renewed, hardened expression, making Bakugo scowl in agitation.
"I don't care what that twinkling fairy's done; he's just an even bigger idiot than what I thought he was before." Bakugo responded bitterly, but Midoriya wasn't convinced.
"But given what happened due to his influence, I doubt you can just brush this under the rug." midoirya responded. thinking about the summer camp and his capture, which directly led to his early retirement that he knew for a fact still got to him. Bakugo's hands balled into fists, and he relaxed several times before he responded in a disdain-filled tone.
"Don't get me wrong. I'm sure as shit angry at him... I feel like I should hit him with at least five Howitzer impacts for the trouble he caused me alone, but not everyone can be as smart as I was as a child, especially someone who was quirkless. He received a quirk just like some other extra, I know, but it's because of that that I also know that the situations could have just as easily been reversed." Bakugo remarked, his voice dropping lower as he spoke, but he kept his eyes completely focused on Midoirya the entire time, and while anger was still present in his eyes, Midoirya could maybe see or maybe even feel something else with his childhood friends—something he's never seen in him since he knew him—remorse.
Midoirya let out a miniature gasp at the realization, but maybe Bakugo caught on to what he was doing and quickly changed everything about himself, and now he was just showing his usual aggressive and angry tone that he usually did as he continued.
"If that's all you have to say, you can leave now, or do you want to fight!" Bakugo yelled out again, and Midoirya got the hint and raised his arms in defense.
"No, no, I'm fine. I don't want to get in between the two of your guys training... I was just worried for Aoyama's sake," Midoriya mentioned, but this directed his friend's anger at him for the moment.
"I can control myself just fine!" Bakugo yelled, and Midoirya instantly started bowing his head and apologizing for the implication before quickly making his way out of the arena and down the hall which made him even angrier.
Seeing Midoirya leave, Bakugo exhaled a long breath as he thought more about the situation. He imagined what would have happened if Midoirya had been found by all for one; instead, he wouldn't doubt that the villain's influence combined with their relationship meant that he and Midoriya would be mortal enemies instead of the rivals they were today, and that would be mostly his fault as well.
"So one of your numbers has betrayed you? What will you do about it?" Silver chain voice rang out beside him. The girl was silent, and for a moment, he even forgot she was there.
"Well, we're sure as hell not going to kill him. For better or worse, we're stuck with him here, and you can't do anything about what's been done in the past." Bakugo remarked simply.
"What would be his punishment once he returns then?" silverchain inquired.
"I don't know, probably get locked up for a while; maybe he could get off lucky since the person he was forced to work under was the badest of the bad out there, at least in terms of our world," Bakugo replied, cracking his shoulder for a moment to limber up some more before the two of them continued with their practice.
The next day
Three-Part Reveal: Class 1A
The association, notably Sitch and Exma, had given the class the weekend off given Torax's departure and not knowing when the tiger may return, which gave them a lot of time, but given what had happened a day prior, it had the opposite effect of what the day was supposed to do. The class was still mostly divided between Aoyama, and while no one showed outright hostility towards him, people did noticeably distance him from themselves and didn't include him in many of their activities. If he was offered a chance to join in by someone who was more forgiving, the opposite person would essentially leave the situation altogether. The one thing that everyone did to come together for Aoyama, including Koda, was to tell Aki the truth about what had happened to her father. The quiet teen had made his way inside the enclosure while the others waited outside.
Koda called out to the bear cub about to give her her morning breakfast, and while she took it, she noticed that he was a bit on the edge, which made her slow in her eating and pay more attention to him. She proceeded to walk up towards him and rub against his leg, stirring him from his thoughts and mumblings.
Is everything okay, Koda? ... did something happen to Torax?} Aki remarked a bit in a panicky tone, suddenly tensing up, but Koda quickly calmed her worries by shaking his head rapidly. He grabbed a hold of her two front shoulders and pushed her back a bit to look her in the face.
{No..torax is still moving around and hopefully fine.} Koda remarked, trying to calm her down.
{ok... then what's wrong? You seem down.} aki asked
{ Well, uhm, it's about your father, um, well, more precisely, what happened to your father.} Koda remarked slowly. Aki perked up at this, retreated from his grasp, and looked at him with a questioning gaze.
{wh-what do you mean by that?} aki asked suspiciously.
{we-well... I may have not told you the whole truth about what had happened... ummm, it wasn't just the convict that had attacked your father that day... umm, the other heroes as well... they also had a part in it besides Zombie, Child Emperor, and me and my friends.} koda explained, and for a moment there was a long awkward pause as the two looked at each other before Aki looked away from him before replying.
{did Torax know about this?} Aki asked, and Koda nodded his head.
{why...why did you lie to me, the both of you?} aki asked in such a hurt tone that it made Koda feel even more regretful than he already was.
{I'm sorry, Aikiaindo. It's just that when you found your father, you were so angry, and I was afraid of what they might do to you if you attacked me.} Koda explained, using her full name to tell her how sincere he was. The adolescent bear was silent for several moments, looking at the ground.
{why did you take so long to tell me? Were you just trying to use me to fight for you?} aki asked.
{NO, never something like that, it's just that I...I feared how you would react, I- we can't protect you against the S-class heroes if you attacked them, they would kill you and we couldn't stop them.} koda explained immediately, the cub turned away from him and went back to her food before quickly bitting down pretty harshly on the food every chomp made koda flinch a bit more but he waited for for her to say something to him, only sound of the crunching being heard in their proximity until she finished, she did an abrupt turn that startled him for a moment tripping him up as he fell on the floor but she didn't say or do anything more as she just turned to look at him before turning back around.
{I feel you, Koda... I don't think I can hate you; everything you did was for my sake. I see that now. Thank you, but...you can leave now. I'll be out a little later.} aki remarked, and Koda nodded his head at that, offering his thanks before leaving out of the room and back to his class, who were all waiting outside with baited breaths. They were all relieved when they saw that he was unscathed, and they all held partial smiles when he told them that Aiki was taking the news with some optimism. The next thing I noticed was the top of Koda's head.
From it sprouted another horn; this one was shapelier and more pronounced than previously, while Midoirya assumed that this may be another part of his awakening. Koda explained that evolution was something biological; it was a sign of him maturing, and that with it, it allowed him to better connect his feelings to animals, which, now that someone pointed it out, explained what Aiki meant by her last response to him.
Aki didn't emerge from her enclosure until 30 minutes after koda had left, no one made an overtly friendly gesture to her until the cub had tackled and nuzzled into koda affectionately which highlighted to the others that everything was alright between them, although aki remarked through koda that she hoped that that was the last time that they all would lie to her which they all agreed to not do if they could help it, the day had dragged on people were mostly scattered around the house doing random things, practicing in the association although everyone was hastily called back to their home with a message from bakugo of all people which set off a few alarms for the entire class and as they all made sure to arrive on time to ensure they didn't upset him.
As the class was all coming back or coming downstairs to all congregate in the living room no one really knew what bakugo was calling all of them down there for, people presumably thought it would be about Aoyama but all murmurs were quickly put on hold when Bakugo made his entrance into the room, he stomped his way over to the center of the living directly in front of the TV he didn't have to yell for any of them to be quiet or anything like that but just for good measure he ordered sero to tape everyone's mouth shut which he complied to a bit reluctantly but he didn't take much threatening to get a move on with the endeavor and one he scanned the room and felt satisfied that everyone could not speak he finally began to speak.
"First off, you (he points directly at Aoyama with a soft, threatening glare). All that shit you did, I don't care. What you need to focus on now is how you're going to make up for it. You better work your ass 10x as hard as you worked for him, or I'll show you that he's not the only one you should fear. Got that!" Bakugo remarked, staring at the less-than-sparkly teen, who rapidly nodded his head. Feeling satisfied with that, Bakugo turned his attention back to the rest of the class and scanned until his eyes locked on Midoirya. He took a long breath, closing his eyes for a moment before opening them again. His look of anger morphed into one of contemplation.
"Midoirya...I'm sorry." Bakugo paused to wait for the shock to pass through everyone's systems. He heard the muffled gasps and rapid shuffling of motion between all of them, but he never looked up from the floor.
"From the sparkling idiot's own experience, I can see now that how I treated you for being quirkless in middle school was wrong. No worse than that, it was horrible. If you had been the traitor instead, you would have every right to be given how I acted, but you didn't, and even more, you still clung to me and still tried to be my friend no matter how many times I tried to push you away. I attempted to redeem myself by helping you master one for all, but that isn't enough; this needed to be done, and in my opinion, I don't think all might have chosen a better hero to receive his power than you, so while I'll know that you'll forgive me because that's the type of person you are, I'm still asking for your forgiveness anyway." Bakugo finished, and in that next moment, he had actually shot out a small C4 explosive and thumb-launched it directly at Miroiya's face. Their mild panic reaction as the micro explosion hit him square in the face and exploded, which got rid of the tape around his mouth.
"I forgive you, Bakugo," Midoriya remarked completely seriously in his reply, using his real name to amplify his point, but Bakugo finally looked up at him with a slight anger there.
"You can call me Kacchan; that's fine." Bakugo remarked, feeling weird hearing his name out of Midoirya's mouth. The comment got a slight surprise from Midoirya, but the mossy-haired teen smiled and chuckled.
"Sure, I forgive you, Kacchan," Midoriya remarked, and he moved forward. The two shared a firm handshake, both smiling at each other as the class clapped behind them, encouraging them.
Feeling that Bakugo said all he wanted to say, Sero removed the tape from everyone's mouths, and the awws immediately started to ring out, but people stopped short of actually hugging Bakugo given that he threatened to blow all of them up. Some people also asked for apologies for them, given how he's treated them, but Bakugo wasn't feeling that sentimental, completely blowing them off about that. Others continued to question Bakugo and Midoirya's relationship. People were fairly surprised to find out that Bakugo was essentially Midoriya's bully as they were growing up, which surprised some people, although given Bakugo's temperament, some weren't really that surprised to find out that he was a jerk.
Kirishima even noted that he was aware of it, reminding Bakugo of the time when they had met some acquaintances of his from their middle school. They had told him about it, but he believed that Bakugo was getting better about it, so he never mentioned it to the others, and he was correct given what he just did, which he found incredibly manly to do. Owning up to his mistakes and trying to resolve them is the essence of what a man should do, he said while fist-bumping Bakugo on the shoulder.
The next thing that happened was a surprise to the class. However, as Bakugo took and shoved Kirishima into the kitchen away from them all, before coming back and asking Jiro for some help and asking her for two sound wall capsules, he gave them, and he left, not before telling Oriono to keep his invisibility on a leash, which he complied to by wrapping his tail around her ankle before giving him a thumbs up. before hurrying back into the kitchen, where he had stashed Kirishima away, quickly dropping both sound walls to the entranceway. Before Kirishima could say anything else, he was utterly shocked when Bakugo hugged him. This was unexpected, to say the least, and he was so shocked that he could barely have returned the hug before the angry blonde pushed him away rather roughly.
"thank you... I guess you are a good friend, Kirishima, and I'm going to return the favor right now. You're going to tell Mina you like her right now, right here." Bakugo remarked, Now Kirishima was on such sensory overload from all of that sentence, and for a moment he thought that he may have been in some sort of weird lucid dream of some kind, but the smack on the top of his head from Bakugo told him that he wasn't.
"Well, what do you say?" Bakugo pressed.
"W-what No, I can't do that in front of everyone, no less."Kirishima replied, getting his wits back on him.
"If I can fucking apologize to Midoriya in front of everyone, you sure as shit can tell a girl that you like her in front of everyone. especially since the answer is pretty obvious." Bakugo replied immediately.
"What do you mean by that?" Kirishima questioned
"Go out there and find out, not that I'm giving you much of a choice in the manner if you don't tell her I will. so go out there and be a "man" and get the girl." Bakugo replied through clenched teeth before getting behind him, and Kirishima felt what was about to come next: an explosion, a large one that lifted him off his feet and sent him skidding back into the living room with some smoke coming off his back, surprising a lot of his classmates. In the meantime, his face beat still as people asked what happened and what Bakugo wanted to talk about. The only one who didn't seem surprised or even interested was Jiro. Could she hear what they were saying?
"Kirishima has something he also wants to share with the class that he has been keeping hidden away for a while now!" Bakugo yelled as he continued back into the living room, slapping the redhead on the shoulder as he passed him, giving him a hardened glare before continuing forward, handing Jiro her devices, and sitting down on the couch. With that, the class's attention was all completely focused on Kirishima, curious about what he was going to say, and his cheeks reddened again as he faked a cough and looked away for a moment, pulling on the top of his shirt for a moment to cool himself down, but as he scanned the class and found Mina, he steeled his nerves, took a deep breath, and just came out with it.
"I just wanted to say that, Mina, I LIKE YOU, and would you go out with me?" Kirishima hurriedly said before doing a quick bow so he didn't have to look the girl or the rest of the class in the eyes. His face completely blushed in embarrassment. There was a long pause as everyone looked between both Kirishima and Mina, both of whom were blushing.
"well pinky?" Bakugo spoke up as the silence drew on too long for his liking, and it seemed to do the trick, jarring the girl from her thoughts and embarrassment.
"Yes, Kirishima, of course!" Mina said remarkably gaining back her usual enthusiasm and playfulness upon hearing the girl's acceptance of his confession he instantly raised his head a large smile plastered on his face, Mina quickly went up and hugged him and Kirishima quickly hugged her back, there was a very fast peck on the lips for those that were observant enough but both of them realizing the situation they were in quickly didn't devolve completely into a passionate makeout session but the class still clapped for the two of them regardless before toru let out a sigh of relief and talked about how they were finally together and how mina would talk about him and bakugo remarked of a similar situation happening with Kirishima.
"Dark shadow said that he is also happy for the both of you." shining light remarked floating high above them on the ceiling before disappearing again.
"You do remember the deal correct he also says." Shinning Light remarked appearing much closer to tokoyami and whispering in his ear making his hair bristle out words in an unnatural flurry but he nodded his head nonetheless a deal was a deal after all he thought as he looked to the back of tsu head.
"thank you, bro, for pushing me to do this," Kirishima commented with a fist bump, and despite himself, bakugo returned it in kind.
"Now if only bakugo could follow his own advice." Sero commented slyly, causing the explosive teen to snarl but roll his eyes as he sat back down on the couch.
"Unlike you people, it's not that simple for me." bakugo regarded simply with a shrug of the shoulders but the absolute silence from the room was deafening to him as he sucked in a breath well he didn't care.
"Wait! Did he just admit to liking silver chain?" Mineta voiced suddenly.
"I think ...he just did." Kaminari remarked simply an edge coming to his voice, followed closely by the other two troublemakers of the triplets.
"I don't remember ever saying that I didn't like her. " bakugo said confidently and there was another large silence between several people as they thought back on it realizing that he was right and they completely were flabbergasted he may have lashed out but he never outright denied it... they had just assumed the outburst was just him denying it and this causes a roar of questions from people.
"wait does she know?" toru immediately asked and bakugo simply nodded.
"So she doesn't like you back?" Sero said with a laugh before stopping as bakugo threw a small C4 explosive his way.
"As I said, it's not that simple...I technically turned her down the other day after our fight with the baldy." bakugo remarked and this earned a surprised gasp from everyone.
"wait why would you do that? didn't you just say you liked her?" Kaminari asked confused.
"figure it out sparky, she's a ninja remember?" Bakugo remarked simply and the people racked their brains trying to figure out why was that a problem and Momo gave them another hint.
"I think it would be easier to describe her as a kunoichi more than a ninja, Kaminari do remember what shadow ring told you when we first practiced together?" momo questioned.
"Not a clue." Kaminari said with such confidence earning him a smack to the back of the head from Jiro.
"idiot," she said.
"What yaoyorzou is referring to is that the prime goal of a kunoichi is to use their charms to seduce men to get information or lower their guard." Todoroki stated.
"Oh, I see what you're getting at here." Sero said
"So what you are saying is that if bakugo had accepted that offer it would have just been a fake relationship to get him to spill the beans on us?" Toru explained and Todoroki nodded.
"woah that's pretty rude messing with a guy's feelings like that. Mina said offhandedly.
"yes, I see that would make sense I discussed this with her myself and she did remark that things would be "easier" if they had entered into a romantic relationship, speaking of which Bakugo you told her not to have open communications with us, that is dangerous, she had to sign to talk to me," Iida remarked before going into one of his lectures which was interrupted by Mina, literally pushing him aside.
"Aww, that sucks bakugo, the one girl he likes but can never know if she truly likes him back" Mina remarked in a dramatized sad tone.
"I'm not some sap, that'll get hung up on it." Bakugo remarked simply with a shrug of his shoulders.
"but why wouldn't she just tell him her true feelings?" Toru remarked to the side.
"Because if it's negative it hurts her chances of getting information from him, she knows he's lying about where we came from." Todoroki explained.
"You know when half-half understand the situation better than you, you know that's a problem right?" Bakugo commented with a sly smirk earning the invisible girl ire.
"Is there anything we can do to change that? I can't imagine seeing bakugo going out with someone." Sero commented.
"Well short of telling her the truth and we can't do that." sato said.
"Ummm...well," Aoyama murmured and multiple eyes drifted towards him some disproving and discouraging others curious and optimistic about what he had to say.
"hurry up and say what you have to say!" bakugo yelled causing the blonde to flinch away and quickly began to explain before fumbling with his fingers a bit and looking down.
"well...Ummm I may have already told sweet mask about stuff ..none of the god stuff but just about everything else ...so...Ummm I don't think it would be that bad to tell her. The class murmured at the news and there were some petty comments here and there about how the boy now couldn't keep a secrete but everyone turned their attention back to bakugo to see his response ..the boy pondered for a moment before turning the question back to the others in the class it was something that they were all supposed to keep secrete breaking ti even partially should be something everyone knows had an input in, which bakugo didn't mean to come off as dig to Aoyama but didn't care too much about given he still held some resent towards the teen himself but the answers were obvious they all wanted him to "chase his girl" which he rolled his eyes at but only replied that he would consider it as there was something else that was bothering him but he kept that to himself. the class not having much else to do all fanned out back around the house or continued in attempts to pester Bakugo into talking about Silver Chain more.
Tokosquad Group chat:
Jiro: Ugh ...hello?
Tokoyami: hello
Ojiro: Yo
Shoji: Hi
Koda: waving emoji
Jiro: I didn't know you guys had your little group chat...tokosquad though?
Tokoyami: Originally it was just called Team Silent but Ojiro and Shojii wanted to change after hearing about the other groups elected to change it.
Shoji: Tokoyami being the strongest member got the title, well if I think that's how it worked given dekusquad and bakusquad.
Ojiro: Mina says that it's more about who would be the leader if they were all alone together and in that case, tokoyami still fits the bill.
Jiro: Alright so what's the deal? why did you guys invite me?
Koda: frog and raven emoji
Shoji: Yes, we have some things we need to discuss. A plan of action if you will.
Jiro: OH?.. I see.
Ojiro: But not here in person we don't like discussing things like this over text.
Jiro: why?
Tokoyami: reduction of evidence, in the advent someone gets a hold of one of our phones. koda was a bit too on the nose there.
Koda: Sorry
Everyone: don't worry about it.
Jiro: lol ok..? well when is this starting?
Ojiro: later on tonight and likely doesn't have to be said but no kaminari.
Jiro: k.
The next day, nighttime
Well it was about that time Jiro remarked checking her watch again for the second time, Jiro was surprised when she had been invited to the group chat but she wasn't surprised by the topic being discussed during the previous day after Kirishima's confession she had overheard them talking about some type of dare or bet that tokoyami had made with dark shadow but she hadn't expected it to be about tsu, she partially didn't like his confession would be from that of a dare as those type could be extremely harmful to the girl in question if she found out but given that it was between Tokoyama and darks shadow made the situation different if it were someone else, it was more like if you were psyching yourself up in that case so she didn't harp on it too much.
Tokoyami was a silent person he mostly kept to himself so his confession was going to be the complete opposite of Kirishima's in private although he held no qualms about hiding their relationship as she and kaminari did during their first few weeks just wanting the privacy to ask the girl out without anyone bothering the which she could respect and to that end, the discussion they had previously was about keeping all of the nosy bodies busy and occupied while he made his move "under the cover of darkness" as he put it so their jobs were to ensure that he could at least leave the house without being spotted or seen by anyone which given that everyone in this group was the best scouts of their entire class except toru it would be a pretty easy for them to do.
The only snag mostly revolved around Mina and Kirishima so they couldn't involve either party in their discussion mina for obvious reasons but Kirishima was mostly due to them not knowing how good he would be keeping things a secrete so they elected on not involving him not that it mattered to much him and mina had a tradition of going to late night workout sessions so they just needed to wait until the two of them left out and they would be in the clear in that regard.
for Jiro's part, she was mostly there to keep asui from going to sleep while initially puzzled about what the two of them would talk about, the topic of Aoyama served the purpose enough that both of them weren't very thrilled about the reveal and the two was too quick to forgive his transgressions but once that topic ran its course they continued to talk about back home before the time came for her to go, she tried to end the conversation as organically as possible before taking her to leave, she needed to head towards her room quickly because kaminari would be approaching any second now, she spotted shoji who had created an eye on the wall as she passed and she gave him a solid nod and after watching Kaminari pass in the hallway all was left was for Ojiro to say that he was also ready which while it took a moment he did respond that things were going exactly to plan and he still has toru occupied.
Tokoyami finally made his move. He let the dark shadow out finally, and the excitable shadow creatures quickly zipped out of his room and completely disappeared. He needed to calm himself down and took the moment to compose himself. The pretense was mostly just for a walk together, so he had his hero outfit on and remarked that she should do the same through dark shadow. The shadow creature came back after five minutes of being gone, and he expressed that his mission was a success and that the girl would need a couple of minutes to prepare, so their tokoyami sat waiting for the message that he was ready, but he didn't expect the girl to come to knock on his door instead, but he opened, and after a mild greeting, the two continued outside.
Intermission
Ojiro was completely taken off guard when Toru appeared nearly unprompted inside his bathroom they had been meaning to hang out more often away from just training at night so he opted to watch a movie instead for the day he had left his door unlocked but that was so she could arrive at the scheduled time or a little earlier/later he never knew with her but things took a surprise turn when while he was int he shower he heard his phone go off and when he went to check he found it levitating in mid-air...leading him to only one conclusion that the girl was their much early then he had thought she be but that wasn't the issue it was that she was in the bathroom while he was in the shower but more than that she held his phone, he was curious and given the time frame he wondered what was typed out, he didn't have a password on it as he never really had a point so he could openly see his message if she clicked on it.
There was a silent pause as the two of them looked at each other. He was looking at empty air while she was looking at his head as he was naked behind the curtains, which made it pretty embarrassing for him. The girl laughed and played off whatever she was doing, trying to play a prank on him, and quickly left the bathroom, but she emphasized that she was taking his phone with her, which he scoffed at given the situation. He was worried about the message that was just sent; he didn't have a lock on his phone because he never needed to, but now he was regretting it as he quickly washed himself off to go after his phone, and the invisible girl thankfully had his change of clothes already in the bathroom with him, so he quickly got changed and rushed outside into his room proper.
The thing was, the girl was invisible and could cloak other objects now, so finding her was fairly difficult, but he continued to try, but he couldn't hear anything, which, given her new hero costume, he wasn't too surprised by. But a miracle happened when the girl did a sharp intake about something, and that small sound in the room helped locate her in at least the general directions he was in, and just when he felt like he was drawing closer, he suddenly felt her shove his phone into his chest and remarked that he found her, but she sounded somewhat nervous. but he wondered why. Maybe it was because they were alone in a bedroom? just thinking about also made him flush...maybe he should have said watching a movie in the living room instead now he was even more flushed than before.
His phone let out another chime of a notification and he went to check it and sent a reply before putting it up but toru must have checked out his recent messages as she questioned why Jiro was now apart of their whole group chat and he had to scramble to come up with an excuse but he was a pretty bad liar so she saw through it rather quickly but he couldn't inform her of the true reason, they didn't do much after that but when toru remarked that she had to go back to her room ojiro heart again spiked and had to wrap his tail around her leg stopping her cold he did not expect such a dratic reaction that she had as she quickly tried to take his tail off of herseslf remarking that she really needed to go but Tokoymai was making his mover right that moment so he coulnd't let her see them leave togather so he redouble his efforts in restrainng her fairly surprised by how desperatly she tried to escape him and tell him to let her go almost like he was really threating her which made him worry for a moment but it wasn't until his tail wrapped around her horizontially and he felt it.
There was no suit there, and there was a soft orb-like feeling on the underside of his tail before he instantly dropped her back down onto the ground. He was completely speechless; he couldn't fathom words at that moment. Anything he tried to stay out of came out in a rapid sputter or stopped in his throat.
"Why?" was the only word he could say. He wasn't imagining things; his girlfriend was naked in front of him. It shouldn't have been as surprising as it was, but in this atmosphere and this environment, what in the world was she thinking? Wait, did he give off some sort of impression? Was this his fault? His mind completely spiraled to so many things that were on the brink of overloading if the girl didn't say anything, but thankfully she did, and maybe due to her experience, she was much more composed than he was.
"I just wanted to get even, you know." Toru remarked in a very low tone. ojiro was confused for a moment thinking about what she was talking about, trying to keep his mind solely on the conversation and nothing else. After a minute, he thought he could only come up with one solution, and his head got even woozier just thinking about it.
"You're still hung up on that? Wait, does that mean when I was in the shower you were going to…" Ojiro left the implication their
"Yeah..sorry." Toru remarked.
"If it meant so much to you, you could have just asked," Orion replied, trying to calm his breathing and looking away even though he was just looking at the air.
"I did." Toru remarked sharply, her voice raising into a confident, almost sassy tone again. Oiro flinched at that. He guesses she was right, and he guesses if it bothered her so much that he could indulge her, it doesn't hurt.
"fai-fair point Umm, ok, but why are you naked, though? I couldn't have just worn your hero costume." ojiro asked
"Well, what I was planning to do was a huge invasion of privacy, so I guess I figured this would somehow lighten it." Toru replied with a nervous chuckle. Oiro was completely in disbelief at that, but he nodded his head in understanding.
"I see... "I guess since it's come down to this, I can show you." ojiro said with a super red face, looking away. before leaving and going back into the bathroom coming back out with nothing but a towel on, he really couldn't believe what he was about to do but if this would finally seal what happened between them then so be it and she was distracted...but after doing a quick flash Toru still seemed not satisfied remarking that it was way too fast and Ojiro countered that it was the same for him not to mention he was in shock at the time, eventually the girl came up with another crazy idea which at that point he thought she may be under the influence of something but she assured that she was right as rain and ultimately he agreed to this new plan so as the bubble of her awakening approached him he allowed his towel to drop to the floor.
Intermission end
Tokoyami and Tsu left the house and began to walk in a certain direction. It was rather an aimless direction; nothing was there, but it was mostly just to get out of range of the house. The two walked in silence before Tsu finally asked the question.
"So...what did you want to talk about, Tokoyami? Is it about Aoyama again? ribbit." Tsu asked, but Tokoyami shook his head.
"No, I lied to you; I didn't want to go for a walk, but more of a fly, you could say." Tokoyami commented, his hair shuffling a bit in embarrassment.
"But I can't fly to Tokoyami? Are you going to carry me again? ribbit." Tsu asked.
"Ooh, can we?" A dark shadow remarked, coming out of Tokoyami.
"No," Tokoyami remarked simply before sticking a finger inside of the dark shadow's eye, making Tsu flinch, but as the dark teen took it out, the finger was surrounded by the golden-white energy that he pointed at her, and suddenly, in the next moment, she was overcome with a bright light that partially blinded her as the intensity faded. She was stunned when she looked down on herself and found shining light armor cladding her form.
"Woah, but it's nighttime? tokoyami...tokoyami?..ribbit." Tsu remarked before snapping, which seemingly got the bird-headed boy's attention.
"I guess it looks good on me?" Tsu teased him, and Tokoyami cleared his throat and nodded in confirmation. Unlike Tokoyami's form, with his armor giving a full ensemble similar to that of an armored knight, Tsu's armor was more open and more feminine in its appearance and appeal.
"Right, upon experimenting with shining light a bit, I discovered this power: when I bestow her on a target, I can use dark shadow for a bit afterward, and similarly, at night, I can use shining light just not on myself, although she is weaker at night than during the day, so we only have 15 minutes to fly." Tokoyami explained before dark shadows shrouded him and spread out to manifest dark wings, and similarly, for Asui, shining light manifested her angelic wings, and with that, the two were off, flying through the night sky.
Tokoyami told Tsu the jist of how to fly using shinning light and how it was mostly just about thinking about what she wanted to do and how shinning light would react in kind following along, so after she got the hang of it and flew around for a bit, the two started to fly side by side for a moment in another comforting silence.
"This is nice and all, but I doubt that you wanted to just show me this. Ribbit," Asui said, and Tokoyami just stared at her for a moment before the dark shadow spoke for him.
"Excuse him, he's just getting lost in your eyes." Dark Shadow commented.
"ribbit?" tsu replied surprised.
"I'm not"Tokoyami replied more to the dark shadow.
"Well, excuse me. What he was really thinking is that when he looks through your eyes, it's like "falling through the layers of the underworld," which is essentially the same thing." Dark Shadow amended. this time causing Tokoyami to say nothing at all but his feathers ruffle in confirmation.
"Um, tsu, the moon is beautiful, isn't it?" Tokoyami remarked briefly and sharply. Dark shadow's eyes noticeably rolled, and Tsu, for a moment, was confused looking towards the moon, which from the height and cycle did look good, but she heard a shining light remark to not take the quote literally, and that's when she understood and slightly chuckled before directing herself to come closer to Tokoyami, and the two stood there suspended in mid-air.
"Yes, yes, it does," Asui answered, and Tokoyami's feathers flushed completely in response before they all started to fly again, this time with their hands in hand.
"Just to be 100% sure, you were agreeing to start a relationship, correct?" Tokoyami asked hesitantly.
"Yes, Tokoyami, that would be fine with me. Although love is a strong word for now, I hope that didn't hurt your feelings that I didn't say it back. ribbit." asui said.
"No, not at all," Tokoyami said.
"It was just his way of saying his feelings without actually saying them; don't pay it too much mind," the dark shadow said.
"Well, it was something to think about; it suits him perfectly. What brought this on? Did you feel inspired by Kirishima?" asui asked.
"Something like that," Tokoyami replied.
"We made a deal that if someone else confessed we would next," the dark shadow told her flatly.
"Oh, that's...something," Asui remarked, a little dismissive.
"That wasn't the sole reason... I did want to experience romance at least once in my life, just in case things take some unexpected turns in life." Tokoyami remarked a bit grimly, looking down towards the ground below them as they flew past. It wasn't until he felt Tsu's hands grace his face that he looked up directly at her again; both of them locked eyes.
"You shouldn't think like that; whether here or back home, we'll all make it through, ok? You gotta think more positively and have faith in us and yourself." Tsu said with a large smile, and Tokoyami cradled her hand, pushing it further onto his face.
"Your right, thank you. But are you fine with this, the three of us, I mean?" Tokoyami said with a smile of his own before questioning the girl again about going out with him.
"If anything, I'm the catch here, and you're the baggage," a dark shadow said.
"I wouldn't consider myself baggage at all either." shining light remarked the two quirks, making Tsu laugh at their bickering, but she shook her head.
"No, there's no issue at all; if anything, they're like a good bonus. I mean, look at me; I can fly." Tsu said before doing a summersault while smiling and coming back to join hands again.
"Well, in that case, let's fly then." Tokoyami said, and the two started to fly around for a couple of minutes before Tokoyami signaled for them to land, but they didn't go back into the city proper. Instead, he took them down near the water below, where they took a moment to wait. The two stared into the pool below, and Tsu noticed that Tokoyami's feathers had noticeably lowered, and he almost seemed to frown.
"What's wrong, Tokoyami? You seem down. ribbit." tsu said.
"It's nothing really; just my biology kind of gets in the way of certain romantic acts." Tokoyami remarked solemnly, rubbing a hand across his beak.
"Kissing isn't the only way to show affection to Koyami, and besides, there is always this." Tsu said before she approached the teen, putting a hand along his shoulder and making him turn towards her and kiss him on the tip of his beak before pulling back.
"Did that feel good? ribbit." Asui asked
"Yeah, it did, but what about you?" Tokoyami asked, feeling a bit wrong, if he was the only one who felt gratification from the act.
"As long as you feel good, then I'm happy. ribbit." tsu remarked, tokoyami feathers rose at that before falling again slightly.
"That is good, but it is also an indirect confirmation of no." Tokoyami replied, and Tsu's smile faded slightly before putting her finger to her chin for a moment and coming up with an idea. Even just the thought of it made her cheeks almost completely red, but she pushed through it.
"Ok, how about this? Close your eyes and open your mouth, ok?" tsu asked a bit nervously and tokoyami did s after a bit of hesitance he couldn't see but that didn't stop Dark Shadow from giving his internal commentary of events which made it seem like something dangerous was going to happen but he had manifested himself over his lips to force his mouth to stay open as just a "precaution" ... in that next moment, before he could question it, he felt something touch his tongue it was rather long and soft...it didn't take long for him to figure out what it was and his eyes shot open and his first guess was correct, Asui was using her tongue to trace over and around his own, at first he was scared and fled from it but now he embraced it letting it wrap around him and explore his mouth before it retreated and she opened her eyes seeing he were open she flushed with embarrassment and quickly separated herself from him retreating a few spaces before looking back down at the water.
"ho-how was that? ribbit." Asui asked, completely flushed; it took a moment before Tokoyami could answer.
"It was... perfect," Tokoyami remarked suddenly, and Asui did a nervous chuckle at that.
"Yeah for me too, but I guess, um, kissing like that can be kept private, ok?" asui asked
"Yes, that's fine." Tokoyami replied immediately.
"That was pretty creative... I didn't even think of it," a dark shadow remarked.
"Well, some of the notes my "fans "gave me gave me some ideas," Asui replied.
"What other ideas did they give?" Dark shadow asked suggestively, making Tsu do a double take looking at that shadow creature, but before she could do anything, shining light did it for her.
"Begone dark aberration," she remarked simply, and she shone a bright light in Tokoyami's direction, which scared a dark shadow back inside Tokoyami.
"Thank you, light." asui remarked patting the armor which vibrated in response but with that, her time was up as tsu armor began to disappear in motes of light that all of which flowed back into tokoyami leaving the two of them alone for a bit, looking at the water below the asui bringing up the fact that she hasn't been swimming in a while and she could use the practice and that their below the city seemed like a nice quiet spot to train out but almost as if instinctually as she said that a flying drone had come down to reprimand them they regarding the water below the base as not fit or safe for people to inhabit, due to it mostly being used a coolant for the entire city processing, the drone did inform them that a 100-meter pool fit for training exist in the association trainer area 88 which they can plan out reservations for and with that out of the way they thanked the drone and given that shinning light was out of commission for the moment Tokoyami had to lift tsu up with his own strength, well he didn't have to dark shadow could have carried her along with him but she wanted him to so he obliged so they went to go visit the pool.
intermission
Jiro and Kaminari were quietly rushing down the hall of their home, directly towards Ojiro's door. Jiro didn't bother with knocking or getting the master ki-cards from Yamomo or Iida; instead, she believed that Kaminari could just shortcircuit the lock, which, after being fake offended, did exactly just that, but he made it on the record that he only learned how to do it because occasionally he would forget his room ki in his room and have to get inside, but Jiro didn't care for that at the moment; she essentially barged inside the room. Upon entering the room, her vision immediately darkened, which made her stumble, but she caught herself on the wall.
"Kaminari We have been bamboozled! Toko and Tsu's ships are flying right now!" Toru's voice suddenly sounded right next to her as she felt someone move past her.
"What? " Kaminari was just confused.
"Come on, follow me; we need to find them; message Mina while we're away." Toru said, pulling Kaminari off as he just went with the flow. Jiro's vision began to return to her when, just in time, she saw Kaminari getting pulled down the hallway by the invisible girl, who seemed just fine, which meant she was faking it. That's pretty low to do, she thought, but something was up; her shirt was on inside out. Oriono made his way to the doorway next to Jiro, watching as the two went downstairs and out of sight, sighing.
"As I said before, she is diabolical, but that was downright evil. And you think I would do something like that?" Ojiro remarked suddenly, a little bit more accusatory than he wanted it to sound.
"Well, no, but I would rather check and be wrong than not check and, you know, have that happen" Jiro remarked simply.
"Understandable. Well, we gave them as much time as we could." ojiro remarked with a shrug, and jiro nodded, but she was still curious about what had transpired with Toru's inside-out shirt, along with the way ojiro's tail was situated completely around his waist, almost like he was hiding...
"Look, what happened is something I can't say; you will have to ask her yourself." ojiro quickly said as he noticed Jiro's gaze and backed up back into his room and away from her.
"I don't think I want to know..." Jiro remarked simply before heading back to her dorm. Jiro just breathed a sigh of relief as he closed his door behind her. His phone lit up, with Jiro confirming nothing had been going on and that it was just a deceptive alarm, which both Koda and Shoji acknowledged.
Intermission end
Tsu and Tokoyami were just starting to fly home after making their trip to the association, where they had checked out the pool, which was indeed very large but also had a lot of options to help train people to be better swimmers, even a function that simulated hazardous conditions.
"Wow, Tokoyami, you scheduled us for like every other week; you either want to get better at swimming or you just want to see me in my swimsuit." Tsu teased, and Tokoyami's feathers flared again.
"Asui, I would never do-" Tokoyami was about to begin when suddenly the girl poked him in the beak.
"Tsu... I said to call me TSU! You know what? How about you come up with a nickname for me? huh, that way you will likely say it." tsu remarked.
"Sorry about that, but as for a nickname, hmm, what about Nix? It's a water diet." tokoyami explained.
"Nix huh? I like it, and would it be okay if I called you Fumi? ribbit. " Asui asked, and Tokoyami nodded, and the girl hugged around his head as he carried her. Their moment was slightly interrupted when Tokoyami's phone rang.
The troublemakers had figured out their plot at least partially, so he should watch out for them, given that they had toru there. They could also be invisible, but where was the question? It wasn't that he was scared or anything like that, but he wanted Tsu to have a peaceful night after this confession and not be harassed by others, so after telling her about the problem, she had one plan that they could try, so they tried it, believing that the crew of likely four were waiting somewhere near their front door but hidden by Toru. Tsu created a lot of paralyzing mucus, and together with the dark shadow, they essentially mucus-bombed the entire front side of the house.
There were a couple of screams from the sudden attack that was suddenly cut off, and Toru's quirk popped as each of the four were on the ground twitching, but they would be fine in about 10 minutes. Tsu assured them as she and Tokoyami moved past them into the house. Kirishima had gotten up around 2 minutes after being splashed by the mucus and dragged the others inside and to their room, believing that maybe his hardening had something to do with why the paralysis wore off quicker than theirs. Tokoyami took Tsu to her room and bid her farewell. They shared one last tongue kiss inside her room, and a dark shadow got a peck on the head as well. Before the two parted ways and Tokoyami headed to his room, he saw his group chat asking about how it went, and there was only one response he could give that described his feelings perfectly.
