It was a sunny day in Royal Woods. At Ketcham Park, Lincoln and his friends were in a brawl with Chandler and his goons over a ball game. (Trent and 2 other students)
Chandler: (laughs) Really? You think you can beat me in a game of kickball?! I'm the greatest ball player here!
Lincoln: Our team is winning 10-8.
Chandler: Just watch this!
Chandler then kicked the ball, and for a moment, it looked like it was going to reach Trent... until Clyde cut in at the last second, stole the ball, and kicked it to Rusty. Chandler's goon tried to catch Rusty, but he was already too far ahead for them to stop him. With a swift kick, Rusty kicked the ball into the net. This made Chandler and his goons angry, and they turned to Clyde...
Chandler: Let's get him!
Clyde quickly ran to Lincoln, who grabbed Chandler to prevent him from getting any further, while their friends fought out his goons to protect Clyde. At that moment, a loud, shrill, female voice was heard...
Female voice: Hey, what's going on?!
Chandler and his goons looked nervous...
Chandler: Why... we weren't doing anything.
Lincoln and his friends saw a small pink canary with a purple bow on her head, wearing a purple jacket, a spiked wristband on her left wrist, and black belt.
Liam: Could it be?
Rusty: It is!
Stella: It's Sweetie Bird!
Sweetie Bird flew over to Lincoln, and landed on his shoulder...
Sweetie: Could you please tell me what's going on?
Lincoln and his friends told Sweetie that Chandler and his goons were going to beat up Clyde. The pink bird then flew over to Chandler and his goons, glaring at them angrily...
Sweetie: Now, listen here, tough guys. In the future, don't let me catch you picking on those kids again, or I'll come back, and... let me just remind you that I'm a pint-size fighter.
Chandler and his goons cowered...
Chandler: Yes, Miss Bird, Ma'am.
Sweetie: Good.
Chandler and his goons quickly ran away. Sweetie then smiled at Lincoln and his friends before she flew away. They were in awe...
Stella: That small canary is tough despite her small size.
Zach: Yeah, we should consider hanging out with her sometime.
Lincoln: How about on Saturday? We'll have the weekend off from school, and I could ask Lisa to find out exactly where Sweetie resides, so we could see her there.
Clyde: Okay.
Everyone else agreed. After Lincoln got Lisa to check where Sweetie was staying, on Saturday, him and his friends went to an apartment complex in town...
Liam: So, Lisa told you this is where that bird is staying?
Lincoln: Yep. But we will have to ask the manager here what room she's staying at.
The team found out from the manager what the apartment that Sweetie is staying at is #10. With that, they went to apartment #10, and then Lincoln knocked on the door...
Voice of Sweetie: Hold on, I'll be right there!
Lincoln: (to his friends) Alright, that's her place.
The team waited for Sweetie to open the door, and about a moment later, the doorknob turned, and the door opened to reveal Sweetie flying high...
Sweetie: (sees the team) Uh... hello again.
Lincoln: Hi, Sweetie.
Clyde: We would like to say 'thanks' for helping us out the other day.
Sweetie: You're welcome. (confused) But how did you all find out where I was staying?
Zach: (points to Lincoln) He's got a genius little sister that helped with that.
Sweetie: Oh, I guess that explains it. So, what can I do for you?
Liam: We were wondering, Sweetie, if you wanted to hang out with us today?
Sweetie was surprised...
Sweetie: Uh, what?
Rusty: We mean it. You're a cool bird with how you dealt with Chandler.
Stella: Yeah, for someone small, you're pretty tough.
Clyde: We would like to spend the day hanging out with you. That is, if you want to?
Sweetie looked at Lincoln and his friends for a moment, then said, 'I've love to!
Clyde: Great, what should we do together?
Lincoln had a plan for the whole day...
A montage happens...
First, Lincoln, Liam, Clyde, Zach, Rusty, Stella, and Sweetie went to Eat Diner Coffee Shop, where they each had a full stack of pancake with maple syrup, and a large cup of milk. Next, they went to the arcade at Gus' Games and Grub. They played many of the arcade games, plus a pinball machine there. Afterwards, they went to the Royal Woods Library to read some books and magazines. Finally, they went to the Royal Woods Cinema, and got lunch, with popcorn and soda, while they watched a long movie. They they all went back to the apartment complex.
Montage ends.
Sweetie: So, do you all want to come inside?
Zach: You're okay with letting bigger people sit on your furniture?
Sweetie: Of course. In college, my roommate, who is bigger than me, and I took some time to get used to each other, but we eventually comprised.
Sweetie opened the door to her apartment to let Lincoln and his friends in, and they sat on the couch and chairs there...
Sweetie: So, does anyone want something to drink?
Everyone nodded, and Sweetie flew to the kitchen to get drinks for her friends. When she got back with them, Sweetie asked Lincoln and his friends, 'Do you like rock music?'
They nodded again, Sweetie got out a remote, and turned her stereo on to rock music.
Stella: Well, Sweetie, you sure are capable of doing everything yourself.
Sweetie: (shakes her head amusingly) Stella, I might be small, but I'm not helpless.
Lincoln: Sweetie, your stereo is so cool.
Clyde: Yeah, there's huge speakers, with a double deck CD player, and a huge screen TV!
Sweetie: Well, they came with the apartment I rented. But I love rock music, so I'm cool with it.
Zach: So, do you live here?
Sweetie: I'm just here on break. I have to go back to college soon.
Liam: Is that college anywhere around here?
Sweetie: Nope, it's in California. It's a Looney-Tune based college called Acme Looniversity. It was a regular school for kids in the early days, then recently had been upgraded to the college university it is today!
Lincoln: Wow, that's really impressive.
Sweetie: Thank you, Lincoln.
Everyone talked with each other, listened to rock music on the stereo in Sweetie's apartment, and watched TV on the big screen for the rest of the afternoon. When the day was over, and the sun was starting to set, it was time for Lincoln and his friends to go home...
Lincoln: Well, Sweetie, this has been fun.
Clyde: But we need to go home now.
Stella: We should meet again.
Sweetie: I have a page on Facebook. You each could sent me messages on there!
Zach: We'll certainly do that.
Rusty: See you around, Sweetie.
Liam: Goodbye!
Sweetie: Alright, have a good night, and good luck to you all.
Lincoln and his friends left the pink canary's apartment, then waved goodbye to Sweetie, (who waved back while flying) left the apartment complex, and went to their own homes. Before going their separate ways, Lincoln and his team knew they not only had a brand new ally, but a new friend in the process.
