Chapter 5

Iron Hill in the Sakura Cosmos

After a long journey in search of one of the two remaining members of the shining stars, the Edens Zero crew finally found her, Hermit Mio, the 'Mind of Edens'.

"So that's Hermit?!" Shiki asked happily

"Wow! I can't believe we found that so easily!" Rebecca said, also happy.

"Wait..., why did that feel like Rebecca just... jinx it?" Boboiboy thought as he heard her while still looking at Hermit. However, then something caught his attention, The statue head 'Hermit' was sitting on, was wearing a... familiar looking armor, sword, and shield."That statue looks like..." Boboiboy whispered with wide eyes as he looked at it.

Boboiboy was snapped out of his thoughts as he heard Weisz ask Mosco in a perverted excitement, "Wait! Don't tell me that all of the Four Shining Stars are women!"

"Moscoy!" The heavyset android answered him with a thumbs up.

Weisz's excitement was cut short as he heard someone coughing behind his back, making him shudder in fear. As he slowly turned to the owner, Boboiboy, who was giving him a stern glare, only a mother could give.

"l-l mean... that it is good to have a strong member back in our crew, R-right?"

Boboiboy still glared at Weisz for a moment before letting out a sigh and shook his head, he will let it slide... for now.

"To be precise, I assume they're all female model androids," Pino pointed out, and Happy said, "I'm a cat model!" even though no one asked him.

"She always loved this place and since it was on our way, I thought maybe that-- Hmm?" She started saying but stopped as she noticed something off about her fellow Four Shining Stars.

"Something's wrong with her," lvry said before she ordered Mosco, "Get her on board immediately!"

"Moscooy!!"

--Line Break--

Once Moscoy brought Hermit aboard the ship, Witch and Homura rushed to the infirmary.

Inside the medical room (infirmary)

"Is Hermit, okay?!" Witch asked in worry as she and Homura entered the infirmary.

Hermit was a female android with the appearance of a short and petite young woman with dull blue eyes, long light-blue hair that fades into cyan halfway down and tied in pigtails, and has two short, red-colored stripes on her cheeks. She wore a white bodysuit with dark-blue armor pads, violet sleeves and legs, and a mechanical headband.

"She isn't moving or speaking a word," Ivry explains before turning to Hermit's body monitor screen.

As she said with a scowl, "Tch, just what happened to her? I can't find any external injuries, but there are tons of system errors." Ivry continued, turning back to her fellow Four Shining Stars with a frown, "Even my healing abilities can't do anything against this."

"Can't you fix her, Weisz?" Shiki asked him.

"What? don't be crazy."

"A little girl like her is one of the Four Shining Stars, Huh...?" Rebecca asked in wonder.

"Actually, she is an android, so how she looks on the outside doesn't mean much." Happy explained to her.

"Moscoy!" The caretaker android said with a thumbs up in agreement.

"All of the Drive systems in her Ether reactor look okay. Monitoring and sound functions are normal, too. Can't detect any virus, either." Pino said as she looked at Hermit's body report on a small iPad in her hand with a frown.

"An abnormal sleep mode..." lvry said with her arms crossed underneath her chest.

"Her's chi..." Boboiboy, who was oddly quiet with his hand under his chin, suddenly spoke, getting everyone's attention, "There's... something really wrong with Hermit's chi energy and emotions."

"What do you mean, Boboiboy...?" lvry asked him while looking at him in confusion, as well as others.

"You guys remember my explanation about chi, right?" Boboiboy asked them, as they nodded, before he continued, "Chi is a life-force energy that exists in all living beings and inanimate objects. By learning to harness this inner latent energy, anyone can gain superhuman capabilities and use them in cases of extreme combat. Some examples include physically manifesting all of their inner strength, unleashing it through sheer force of will, and... Emotions also have a big role in the flow of chi in someone's body."

"Emotions...?" Pino asked him in confusion.

"Yeah, Emotions" Boboiboy said to her with a nod, before continuing his explanation,

"Different emotional imbalances can affect the flow of chi in the body in different ways. Chi is supposed to flow in a specific direction along a regular circuit of pathways called 'channels or meridians'. Imbalanced emotions can affect this flow, causing it to slow down or go in the wrong direction.

For example: Anger makes chi rise, Joy slows chi's flow, Worry knots chi, Sadness depletes chi, Fear makes chi descend..."

Boboiboy then turned toward the Mind of Edens with a Grieved expression, as he said in a slightly low voice, "However, Hermits chi emotions felt... more worse than the latter two... it's like she almost devoid of any emotion, even then l did felt only one single emotion and it was... *Sigh* 'Depression'."

This caused almost everyone else to gasp in shock and horror.

"Do you mean...?" Witch asked him in a low, worried tone.

"Yes, it is" Boboiboy replied to her with a nod in a sad manner.

"Wait, What is it?! What do you mean, Boboiboy?!" Shiki asked the Elemental Hero in worry.

"To put it in simple human terms, her 'heart' or like her 'mind' has suffered damage." It was a Witch, who explains this to him, with her left hand over her chest where the heart is supposed to be.

"Heart?" Shiki repeated her word.

"Did something scary happen to her...?" Happy wonder.

"Something scary enough for her to close off her heart." Homura said with a frown.

"But can't we save her somehow?!" Shiki asked the shield and life of Edens.

"We don't really have a full understanding of the concept of 'hearts' and 'minds'."

"We don't have any idea how to fix an android in a state like this."

This caused the other members to frown in worry. However, Shiki suddenly spoke with his eyes closed, "I have an idea!" Then he opened them with a determined expression, "We'll go inside Hermit! And then fix her broken heart!" While pointing down at said android.

Weisz and Rebecca look at him with a baffled expression after hearing his idea, while Boboiboy looks at him with a surprised expression, before he starts thinking about something.

"Umm... so much of that was so wrong, I don't even know where to begin..." Rebecca said with a sweatdrop as she held her temples with her right hand.

"How the heck are we supposed to go inside her?!" Weiz asked him with a bewildered expression.

"Huh? But I thought you could make some kind of machine for that or something."

"No, I can't."

"Does this 'Heart' have a shape?" Pino asked him curiously.

"Hmmm... well, she's a bot, so probably something like a heart-shaped one." Shiki replied after thinking for a moment.

"Nah, we don't have that" Happy said with a silly expression.

"Can you stop all this nonsense?" Weisz asked with an irritated expression.

"But we've got to help her!" Shiki said before turning toward the Hermit with tears in his eyes,"Her heart is broken and... I feel bad for her."

"Oh? You're going to cry, huh?"

"No, I'm not!"

"Shiki does cry pretty easily." It was Rebecca who said this in agreement.

"No, I don't!!"

At this, the Witch was looking as if she were also thinking about that.

"Shiki isn't... completely wrong about that idea" Boboiboy suddenly said, surprising them in return.

"What do you mean...?" Weisz questioned him with a raised brow.

"Well, I mean Hermione is an android..., which means a part of her is a machine, so it is not impossible to get inside, at least her mind/Consciousness... I'm just not sure how?"

"Go inside her..." The shield of Edens repeated Shiki's words from before, then immediately bowed down in front of him. She continued, "An idea I would only expect from the great demon king!" getting everyone's attention, "I think there might be a way to save her!"

lvry's eyes slightly widened as she realized what the Witch meant. "Oh, right! Of course! Dive 'Mode'," she said before turning to her. "So, you mean Hermit's heart is..."

"My guess is that there's a strong chance that her heart is..." Witch began to speak, "on the Planet Digitalis."

"Planet Digitalis?" Boboiboy repeated in confusion.

"So, her heart isn't here?" Shiki asked in confusion.

"Yes, Hermit is most likely in 'Dive Mode' and her heart or mind has gone to the digital world."

"Huh?"

"So, She's in some kind of dream, Huh?" Boboiboy asked.

"Close," lvry said with a nod, "Digitalis is both a virtual dimension and also an actual planet."

"Oh right, because that perfectly makes sense." Weisz comments with a deadpan look as he crosses his arms.

"A place where your physical body has no impact, 'The Super Virtual Planet', usually known as 'Digitalis'." The shield of Edens explained this to them about the planet.

"If Hermit's heart is there, then let's go and save her right now!!" Shiki said with a determined expression.

"Wait, Shiki, this can't be that easy..." Boboiboy starts to say to him, before turning toward the green-haired android with a raised brow, "...right, Witch?"

"Yes, you are correct, Boboiboy. There lies a problem. You can't go to Digitalis with your physical body. You have to 'dive' and take digital forms." Witch Regret said with her arms spread open as she stood up on her feet.

"So... it's like an online game, huh?" Boboiboy asked. This kind of game gave him a feeling of nostalgia.

"Actually, it was an online game once." It was Rebecca who answered him, as she continued, "Digitalis originally started as one of the servers for the MMORPG called 'Rogue Fantasia'. According to what I heard, they ended service in the game a few years ago after the incident."

"Yes... diving and becoming a digital form has its risks... But more than all that, The NPCs of this planet developed a mind of their own. In the end, the game became too unbalanced and was unmanageable. So, they abandoned it" Witch explained to them calmly,"And after all of that, the NPCs rewrote their programming... and thus, started living in a real thriving Society."

Okay, Now, Boboiboy is really having a flashback of his meeting with Papa Zola and then Mama Zila! Well, if it wasn't for the seriousness of the situation, Boboiboy and his elemental forms would love to go to such an amazing and entertaining place!!

"So it is a planet full of Data humans" Weisz simply commented.

"But why do you think Hermit would be there?" Homura asked.

"She always loved that place, and you can still log in to Digitalis." The witch answered her, before then she turned to the 'Satan Gravity' user, "Besides, I also trust the instincts of the great demon king. Does that make sense?"

"Yeah" Shiki replied with a determined expression, raising his fist in front of himself, "We're going to save her, I promise!"

inside the Dive Room

Inside every member of the crew, except the Witch, Sister, and Mosco, has made their way to the Dive Room while wearing specialized diving suits.

"Digitalis is a virtual world, and therefore we don't need to take our ship over there," the witch said to them from the speaker of the control room, with lvry and Mosco. As she was talking, the other members were having a chat of their own.

"l can't believe they had these in our size" Happy said while looking at his suit.

"All due to the power of the dress factory" Pino pointed out.

"You look terrible in that!" Weisz commented with a sweatdrop while pointing at Shiki.

"It's so tight on me!" the said person exclaimed in childish excitement.

"Mine is not that bad... just a little tight." Boboiboy said while stretching his arms, the tight suit hugged his well-toned body as he was taller than most of the crew members except Mosoc.

"You're right, these suits really emphasize our body contours..." Rebecca said in agreement, as she looked at her suit in slight embarrassment.

"They are quite comfortable," Homura commented as she looked at her own suit.

"However, I can't help you in any way," the witch continued her explanation. "As for any abilities and such, you can use your powers in the real world, but nothing more than that..."

"Aww... I was hoping I would get to use magic and whatnot," Rebecca said with a little disappointment.

"...And finally, I must tell you all that any damage you sustain in digitalis will also affect your physical bodies. So, if you were to die inside digitalis..."

"Yeah, we all know the risk!" Shiki exclaimed from inside his pod.

"Now, let's go and save, Hermit!" Boboiboy said in agreement with a determined smile.

"Logging you all into Digitalis, Now!" Witch Regret said, as she begins the dive sequence and logs the party into Digitalis. "The dive into the digital world will now begin." With that, a bright light engulfed everyone in pods.

"Good everyone, good luck..., Boboiboy" she whispered the second part to herself.

"l-l wish... l could also go with them..." Mosco said with a little sad tone.

"Ooohh!! Whoa!! Awesome!!" Boboiboy exclaimed as the light completely engulfed him and a digital 'Welcome to Digitalis' appeared in front of him for a moment.

While diving, a mechanical female voice suddenly said to him, "Please create your avatar." Boboiboy was surprised at first, but then realized that it was an AI as some holographic terminals materialized around him for the selection.

"My Avatar... huh?" Boboiboy muttered as he thought about it with his hand under his chin.

somewhere Inside the Boboiboy's mind

"So, which Avatar do you guys think we should... choose?" Earth asks his siblings.

"A Magical wizard!!" Wind and Leaf exclaimed at the same time in excitement.

"A giant dragon! Raaah!!" Fire said boastfully as he posed like a dragon.

"A knight!" Lightning said with a serious tone.

"Aha! a knight, really, short-circuit. My dragon avatar is better!"

"Hey! Have you ever heard about the story of a dragon and a knight? Just so you know, the knight always slays the dragon in the end, candle!"

"No! Our Wizard Avatar is much better!!"

"Heh..., seriously, you guys are so childish," Light said smugly, "If anything... an Avatar of a scientist or philosopher will be better than them."

"Now, now... guy-" Earth tried to calm them down but then he noticed someone was sleeping a little away from them, on the floor, so he shouted, "Hey! Water, don't you wanna choose any Avatar of your own?!"

Water just yawned in his hand, before replying in a lazy tone, "Nah... I'll leave this to you guys, if I say anything, they will argue about it and... I'm too sleepy for that anyway." With that, he turned his back to them and resumed his sleep. Water's lazy behavior made his siblings sweatdrop at him.

"Hey, Earth. Don't you want to choose an Avatar of your own?" Leaf asked him as he tilted his head in curiosity.

This question made the said Elemental form think for a moment. Since they all have a choice of their own, he has to choose something that they all can agree on while also looking classic. But what...?

... Suddenly an idea came to Earth's mind, and a smile appeared on his face.

Into the Super Virtual World: Enter Digitalis

Digitalis's landscape

Digitalis's landscape was a beautiful sight to behold. There were many mountain ranges, rivers with clear water, greenery spread across the vast landscape with flowers, trees, a bridge made of bricks and a large stone statue of an angel in a praying position.

"Woah! it's more fantasy-like than l expected!" Rebecca said in excitement.

"Kind of looks like Grandbell" Happy commented.

Happy's avatar looks identical to his real-world self, and so does Rebecca's, except she had designed her Avatar to have cat ears on the top of her head and a tail that matches her hair. Her attire is a sleeveless midriff-baring navy tank top with three small holes and one large hole showing her cleavage arranged in a paw print pattern on the chest, a collar with a buckle, a reddish-pink miniskirt, a pair of blue leggings, and shoes.

"But why does everyone take so long..." Rebecca said with a sigh.

"They are probably deciding their Avatar's..."

"But, it's not like we have to make them look perfect... Huh?" Then something caught Rebecca's attention as she noticed a figure from a distance was coming towards them, "Wait... something is coming!"

In an instant, a large purple leoprine creature appeared in front of them. He was wearing a collar with a bell attached and holding a small piece of paper that read "Auto". The creature's head was always shaking from left to right frantically.

On the creature was a bespectacled young man with curly dark hair, wearing a light-colored dress shirt, pants, and a long-sleeved coat draped around his shoulders.

"Okay... something really weird here..." Rebecca said with a weird expression.

"Now, dogs don't feel that bad anymore.." Happy said with the same expression.

Somewhere in the Unknown place.

Somewhere in vast space, an unknown woman was 'standing' on the space, as she looked at the countless constellations in front of her, with her back turned and the space, she was 'standing' on somehow shaking like a pond.

The woman turned around with her hand waving in 'Hello' motion, "Good to see you all again. I'm Xiaomei, the narrator of this story." As she introduced herself politely.

Xiaomei was a slender young woman with red eyes and black hair with diagonally cut bangs. She has two pairs of longer bangs, one on the front and the other on the back of her head. She wears a red qipao with a cherry blossom pattern that exposes much of her back, and a lily flower on the right side of her head. She was also barefoot.

"In order to restore the original powers of the Edens Zero ship..." Xiaomei started recapping the story, with her eyes closed and her arms spread open, "Shiki and his friends left on the journey to find the Four Shining Stars, who served the Demon King."

"The one who is in charge of defending the ship, Witch" As a small sphere with a chibi Witch inside it appears around her along with some others.

"The foul-mouthed yet miracle healer, Sister" A small sphere with a chibi lvry inside it.

"However, it seems some unknown... and interesting character(s) has/have arrived in this story, and one of them is, the Elemental Hero, Boboiboy" A small sphere with a chibi Boboiboy inside it; "He also joined the Edens Zero crew in their search for the remaining Four Shining Stars."

"Speaking of which, they also have found the third Shining Star, Hermit. But her heart has been damaged." A small sphere with a chibi Hermit inside it.

"In order to rescue her heart, Shiki and the gang along with Boboiboy have dived into the virtual planet, Digitalis" As it shows an image of said planet from outer space.

"What kind of adventures await them there, I wonder..." Xiaomei said as she walked around with her arms behind her back, before stopping and slowly turning her head behind her right shoulder, "Just... one more thing. I apologize in advance. This story will get excessively sadistic, and I'm truly sorry." She said to her 'audience' with an apologetic smile.

Back to the Super Virtual World: Enter Digitalis.

Back on Digitalis, a dark-haired man with glasses on top of a purple creature appeared, which looks weird to Rebecca and Happy.

"Umm... Who are you...?" The former asked nervously of the stranger.

"His face is shaking too much!" the latter said about the purple creature, while shaking his own head frantically.

"Hehe... I don't blame you for not noticing," the 'man' said with his eyes closed, "I'm an excel prince and also a master swordsman. I'm leading my people in war to bring peace back to my motherland."

Then the man jumped off the creature and landed in front of them. As he continued, "That is the backstory I, Homura, have decided to give my character. Oops, I said that aloud, huh?" The stranger revealed herself to be 'Homura', before covering her mouth in embarrassment.

"Homura?!" Rebecca exclaimed in shock, before asking with a sweatdrop, "Why did you choose a male Avatar?"

"Umm? because it is allowed to, that's why..." Homura simply replied.

"So, what's this?" Happy questioned as he sat on the purple creature.

"Woooahhh" The creature makes a sound while still shaking his head.

"I'm tired of choosing a 'White horse' option for a mount but..." Homura explained to them, while looking at the creature, "It's purple."

"Purple..." Happy began saying.

"And definitely not a horse..." Rebecca finished the sentence for him. suddenly a male voice spoke up,

"Well, according to the description, it is a horse!" They all turned toward the owner of the voice. However, it wasn't a male.

The owner was a curvaceous 'woman' with long, light-colored hair and a dark skin tone. She also wore rather revealing clothes.

"A hero of the holy stone once rode that ugly-ass horse, Turn-to-Timonium." The 'Woman' said with a grin while pointing thumb at herself.

"Oh come on, you gotta be pulling my leg, right?" Rebecca said at the ridiculousness of the name. Before turning to the 'woman' and asking in confusion, "Wait a second, who are you?"

"It's me, Weisz... Oh, I mean it's me, Weisz," the stranger revealed himself to be Weisz, before trying to talk in a more feminine voice with a wink.

"Do I even wanna know why you chose a female Avatar?" Rebecca asks with a sweatdrop, even though she has an idea.

"What's wrong? It's an option, so..." Weisz said with a small pervy smile. Before he started groping his own Avatar's breasts with his hands, "I mean, look, I feel them as much as I want to!"

"Yeah, alright. Creep."

"Since we are both girls now, I can even join you in the bath and stuff!" Weisz said happily.

"You're still a guy on the inside, pervert!!"

"Come on, we're in the virtual world, now so why not chase a few dreams. Don't be so bored." Weisz said with a dull expression as he crossed his arms.

"Indeed," Homura said in agreement with him as she nodded.

This makes Rebecca slightly grit her teeth. Suddenly, a female voice said, "I have a dream too!"

The voice belongs to a young human girl with rabbit-like hair. She wears a necktie that is decorated with a single large heart. As she introduces herself with a small smile while having her arms behind her back, "It's me, Pino."

"Pino?!"

"You are a human?!"

"And you are so cute!~"

"Hey, guys!! I see the whole gang is here already!" Shiki shouted at them from a distance.

"Oh hey! Shik--?!" Rebecca starts saying, but stops upon getting a good look at his Avatar.

Shiki's Avatar had his head on top of an absurdly large and muscular body.

"I couldn't decide on an Avatar. So, I just made it look like m--"

"That's not how you look!!! " Rebecca exclaimed in shock as her eyes bulged out.

"Yeah! I've gotten a bit stronger" Shiki said with a grin as he looked down to his friends

"That's more than just a bit!!"

"Go make a new one!!!" They all exclaimed.

After a minute

"Since this place is a bit like GrandBell... l figure that l will go with long hair l had there," Shiki said with a grin in happiness as he had changed into a new Avatar.

Shiki's new Avatar takes the appearance of a young-looking caveman with his hair styled in a long and wild manner, similar to his look before he met Rebecca and Happy on Granbell. His attire consists of a set of torn clothes with leopard prints, a necklace with shark teeth, and sandals.

"Ahh... All those memories," Shiki said with a longing look while staring at the sky. Before he looked down with a sad smile and continued, "I really hope that everyone is back to them. Hnnmgh..." But Shiki then started crying.

"Don't cry, now!" Weisz exclaimed from his behind.

"Hey guys! Thank god, you all still are here... Hehe l'm sorry for being late!" Suddenly, they heard a deep and mature male voice from behind. As they turned to see the owner of the voice.

Rebecca was the first to turn and speak, "Huh? Whose voice is that... Oh wow..."

However, her words died in her mouth as she then gaped at the man, who had his fist on his hips, upon seeing his appearance with wide eyes and a red blush on her cheeks, just like Homura.

While the others, mostly Shiki and Weisz, were looking at the sight of man in awe.

The stranger was an exceptionally large and muscular male, standing at 6'10" with strong and handsome features. He had broad shoulders, long arms, and he stood at least a full head above the average full-grown male.

He wears a tight and orange full body suit that hugs his well-toned muscularly defined body, except for the wrists, which are grey in color. His lower body is completely covered by a simple grey skirt, and he wears sturdy grey boots. He also wears a grey long cape with a prominent collar that reaches to his knees while covering his left arm. (imagine it like Viltrumite uniform outfit except their logo)

"Umm... W-who are you?" Rebecca finally asked after snapping out of her daze. Though, a little blush was still present on her cheeks.

The man merely laughed in amusement,"So, you guys really didn't recognise me Huh?" he asked.

Then he starts to walk closer, allowing them to clearly see his facial features. He had neck-length long brownish hair and was pushed back, but still looked somewhat spiky, with a single white streak in it and that remained them of...

"Boboiboy?!" Homura exclaimed, gasping. Everyone was speechless at their new friends Avatar appearance.
