Ryomen Sukuna and the Uchiha clan became myth, then legend, and then gradually bedtime story of a time that was so far away that no one knew the real story anymore. Humans forgot but curses remembered. They remembered who put their king away, they remembered who took their freedom away, they remembered everything about that fateful date. But time was cruel, time waited for none, human or curses, all were bound to return to dust. Eventually, curses that remembered that day were destroyed. Nothing lasts forever without the greatest price.
Years passed, and history continued. Human continued to rise.
During the Edo era, jujutsu sorcerers became so powerful that curses were completely wiped off the face of Earth. The era of eternal peace began. Sorcerers were no longer needed and curse energy slowly faded away.
However, curses are creatures born from human negative feelings and humans are easy creatures to corrupt. It had been peaceful for far too long, enough for curses to start rising once again.

Tokyo, 1995
Kira was reborn. The sky turned into a peculiar red that night.
All 3 prominence clans, Kamo, Zen'in, and Gojo assembled for the first time in 1000 years, unfolding an omen.
"The king shall rise. The eyes of Death and Souls shall return what has been lost and restore order once and for all."
In a small house on the outskirt of Tokyo, a baby girl with deep red eyes was born under a blood-red sky. Her father, a drunk of the town, quickly concluded that his daughter was the devil reincarnated to kill everyone and wanted her dead. Her mother, a kind-hearted woman, wished nothing but absolute protection for her daughter and risked her life to run away right after labor. She sneaked out, passed her drunken husband, took a bus to a temple in Tokyo, and left the baby a final kiss of goodbye before giving her last breath.
"I'm sorry, my love, please forgive me for leaving you like this, you have to live, you must live, my daughter" - her eyes were dulled and puffy from crying so much, but never left her newborn daughter. Her hands twitched nonstop, then stopped completely.
"It's warm" - Kira slowly blinked and opened her eyes. The sight of the big full moon hit her - "The moon is pretty tonight, when was the last time I saw the moon this bright and the sky this clear. Since the day…." - Kira's thoughts wandered, mesmerized by the beautiful scenery - Wait….
Kira had a dream, an endless dream. She was with her parents, back at their old house, where she trained until she fainted, where she learned about her abilities, her ancestor's abilities in jujutsu books, where all clan elders would frequently stop by to check in and to lecture her about how important her life was to mankind. Yes, she understood clearly from a young age that she must die so everyone could begin living.
But in this dream, she was alone with her parents. There was no requirement, no responsibility, no elders, no humankind, just her and her parents, Fugaku and Mikoto. They were lying on the tatami outside the main meeting room, looking at the sakura tree. Its petals were falling slowly, creating a romantic yet drowsy scenery. Kira's head was placed on father's thigh and her feet were near her mother's. Father was smoking with his favorite wooden pipe and mother was drinking tea from her favorite ceramic white cup. Everything was perfect, a life she always imagined herself having if she had not borne such heavy responsibility. She wanted the dream to last forever until a chime broke everything into pieces.
"You shall rise with the King of Curse and end him once and for all"
"Rise with the King of Curse? What does that mean, didn't I destroy him? He shall rise, what a joke. Well, it is none of my concern anymore since I died, right? Can I just stay like this? It's comfortable." - Many thoughts crossed her mind at the same time. Most were denials of the mission.
And then, the floor disappeared beneath her and she felt, hard and fast. She screamed but nothing came out. Everything around her was dark. She tried to reach out to her mother and father and tried to yell for their help, but there was no response. Both remained in their positions, undisturbed, and unable to notice their daughter disappearance. Only Kira was falling farther and farther away from her perfect dream.
She was scared but raised to be ready to die, she knew how to suppress the feeling. She closed her eyes, focusing on controlling her breathing. After what felt like eternity, the falling stopped. When she opened her eyes, and there it was, she met the beautiful scenery of the full moon.
Kira tried to sit up, but something was terribly wrong. Why did she feel so weak? Also, why were her hands so small? Kira touched her face. It's tiny. She touched her head, what happened to her hair? Did Sukuna burn it all? If that's the case, she would gladly kill him again. She tried to yell for help, for her parents. Nothing came out, only small sounds like squeaking. She tried to calm herself and decided to close her eyes one more time, hoping that when she opened them again, she would be welcomed by her father and mother. She wanted that peacefulness, she deserved it after sacrificing everything.
"Wait, the chime, the bell" - something sparked in her mind - "Shit, don't tell me."
_Who is this? - a surprising voice interrupted her thought - you little poor thing, how long have you been out here? Oh my god.
"Damn, I have been reborn."
