Luffia found herself disoriented, unable to recall how she had returned home or how much time had passed. Her mind, clouded and confused, struggled to make sense of the recent events. One instant, Zoro had been by her side, and the next, he seemed beyond her grasp. The memory of his offer, and her decision to prioritize her family over him, haunted her every time it surfaced in her thoughts.
The pain stemmed from the realization that she couldn't have both options; it had to be one or the other. Begging Zoro to reluctantly accept her and her decisions would only be selfish. She acknowledged the harm she had already caused him, making it difficult for him to endure any more of her actions. Especially when she was traversing the path of revenge.
It defied logic for someone to assist in seeking vengeance against the individual responsible for their parents' death. Such an act would be tantamount to abandoning one's own family—a profound betrayal. Luffia understood that Zoro shouldn't be burdened with the anguish of betraying his loved ones in such a manner. The thought was equally unbearable for her.
"Luffia?" A voice filled with concern resonated in her ears, prompting her to lift her gaze. There, in her pajamas, was Sab, cautiously making her way toward her. With a furrowed brow, the blonde observed her youngest sister. Just an hour ago, Luffia had been radiating joy, so seeing her return in tears left Sab puzzled, wondering what could have transpired. "What happened?"
Luffia met Sab's eyes with tears adorning her usual bright eyes. She quivered and sobbed. "He found out."
Sab was quick to catch Luffia in her embrace, letting her cry to her heart's content. Sab didn't need further details as to who Luffia was referring to. There could only be one person capable of squeezing emotions and sadness out of Luffia, and that was Zoro.
"It's alright. We're here." Sab could only console Luffia the best she could but who knows how much pain the youngest was feeling now. Zoro had been a constant in her life. He kept her on the ground, making her happy in any way possible. And if the situation calls for it, Sab would never doubt that Luffia would give her life for him.
"He found out about Dad." In between her sobs, Luffia struggled to find her voice. "He found out who killed his parents."
It was not a surprise to Sab since she knew that Zoro's parents were killed because of their father. With numerous casualties connected to their father's illegal activities, Sab was not sure which of them were Zoro's parents.
Sab ushered Luffia to sit on the couch so they could talk properly.
"Did he hate you because you were the Mafia King's daughter?" Depending on Luffia's answer, Sab may have to be drastic with her decisions concerning Zoro. If he hated Luffia because of her parents, he was no better than their enemies.
"No." Luffia shook her head. "He hated that I was following his footsteps." Luffia chose not to delve into the details of the conversation, particularly the choice Zoro presented to her. The thought of burdening Sab with any sense of guilt was the last thing she wanted.
"Did you know how he found out?" Luffia shook her head, and Sab's worries grew.
"Alright. Get some sleep, okay? We will talk tomorrow."
It did not take long for Luffia to go to her bedroom which left Sab in a deep frown. One of the biggest complications in their lives had come true. Sab hoped it would not come to this point, but the circumstances had been blown out of proportion. Not only did Zoro find out about their father, but he also held the information about the sisters.
'We should have been vigilant,' Sab thought to herself. With this information, Zoro could jeopardize everything they worked for and not only that, it would also put their lives at risk.
Overthinking would not get her anywhere. She promptly called it a night and hoped tomorrow would be much better.
Morning came too quickly. Luffia still looked distressed and looked worse than Ann who was in a coma not too long ago. The eldest of the sisters looked at Sab who was frowning before her eyes landed on Luffia.
"What's going on?" She asked. When Luffia did not answer, she looked at Sab who was a little hesitant.
"Zoro found out about our parents." The revelation shook Ann's core as she looked at Luffia who remained silent. She knew her youngest sister's worst fear had come to bite her down. "This is dangerous. He is dangerous - "
"What do you mean by that?" Luffia's eyes take on a menacing glint as thoughts swirl in her mind after hearing Sab's words. They have had these conversations before, and every time Sab speaks those words, it always leads to the same conclusion: the elimination of that particular dangerous entity. The mere thought of eliminating Zoro never crossed her mind and while she could not fault Sab if she would suggest doing so, she still cannot find it in her heart to accept it.
"He has information about us. Not just about you, but including our identities as Blue and Firefist. He knows Ann is alive! He knows your group."
Luffia clenched her fist and remained silent, while Sab, wearing a conflicted expression, glanced at the youngest member before turning her gaze to Ann, who had yet to recover.
"Lu, I know this is hard for you, but we need to be careful how we thread into this situation."
"I know," Luffia muttered under her breath. It seemed she never had the liberty of wallowing in her sorrows, not when they had pressing matters to attend to.
"First, we will evacuate from here. Kidd is on his way, alone. With our identities compromised, we cannot stay here any longer."
"But how did he find out?" Ann finally asked the question that even Sab and Luffia had no answer to.
"I don't know." It was the same answer Luffia had.
"He briefly worked with CP0 to hunt you down. Could it be from the World Government?" All three of them looked at each other. They were suspicious about the World Government's information about Ann and feared they might have discovered Sab and Luffia's identities. If their assumptions are correct, it could mean the World Government finally discovered their most-kept secret.
"That is the worst-case scenario, Ann. And if it comes to that point..." Sab trailed off, afraid to say the obvious. "Luffia. You might not have a choice but to inform your group members about our real identities."
"I planned on telling them anyway." She said, but her voice was getting dimmer. "I've been fooling them for so long." It seemed she was referring to Zoro more than anyone in her group. While it was true that she kept the identities of their parents from her members, she did not deliberately hide her actions from them. It was more of an open secret that most of the members suspected but never dared to ask. It was not out of fear for Luffia's reaction but rather out of respect for her space. They trusted her enough to speak the things she wanted to say.
"Lu - "
"Let's leave. I'll talk to my members after we vacate this house." Luffia cut off any comfort that her sisters might offer. It would be pointless to mull over the circumstances. Whining would get her nowhere either. She must do what she could. After all, this was her chosen path.
With Luffia's determined approach, the twins refrained from offering further words of comfort. Luffia had her own methods of dealing with her troubles. Although they knew she could persevere, they couldn't help but worry about her. Despite her often reckless and childish behavior, they understood she was carrying more burdens than they wanted her to bear.
When Kidd arrived, he instantly sensed the tense atmosphere. Despite Sab's detailed explanation of the situation, he remained silent, feeling it was not his place to offer advice or comfort, especially with the wound still fresh. Instead, he assisted by driving them to their main hideout—a mansion known only to him and the sisters. It was only when he had a moment alone with Sab that he finally voiced his concerns.
"I might have an idea about who told Zoro." Sab's eyes immediately went wide.
"What do you mean?"
"I am not too sure about this, but you might be interested to know. I did not tell Luffia because I figured I'd let you decide if you want to tell her or not."
"Alright. What is it?" Sab was all ears now. Even if the information Kidd had was not the right one they needed, it might at least give them an idea of what to watch out for.
"There was a police officer who had something going on with Zoro. Probably a fuck buddy or something. She started sniffing in the streets about two months ago."
"Wait. How do you know about this fuck buddy?" Sab raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued. While information could be found on the streets and wielded as a weapon, it was unusual for Kidd to know about this. Surely he and Zoro were not such mortal enemies that they needed to investigate each other so thoroughly.
"We cooperated more than once in the past. And I've seen them in passing. Now, let me finish my damn theory."
"Oh, that was surprising. You're using your brains. Great improvement." She could see the way his muscles contorted in frustration and embarrassment at her teasing. She smirked inwardly and would love to tease him more had it not been for pressing matters she needed to hear. "Okay, go on."
"As I was saying!" He exclaimed. "She might be the one who told Zoro. And how she knew, I don't fucking know. But if there's one thing I learned in the streets, a woman's obsession knows no bounds."
It made sense to Sab. While this was nothing but an accusation, at least it gave her an idea of what she should do.
"The simplest approach would be to confront Zoro and steal any details he was given, assuming he had evidence beyond just verbal testimony," Sab muttered, racking her brains. "But that would be dangerous. If the evidence came from someone in the World Government, they would likely have trailed Zoro in hopes we retaliate."
"Then, what would you do?" Kidd asked. "Do you have any lead in figuring out how they found out aside from the simplest approach? If the World Government knows who you are, you can no longer go back to being the lawyer in the Celestial Law Firm."
"This is troublesome. All the work I did for years would be for naught. We bothered hiding our records..." Sab trailed off when she mentioned the word 'records'. "Wait. I have an idea." She was quick to fish out her phone and call Koala. With her information network, it would be possible to track down the trails of a certain woman.
After talking to Koala, all Sab had to do was wait.

Luffia might look calm on the outside, but she was nervous deep inside. Several thoughts passed through her mind about how her group members would react to her revelation.
And why now?
They might resent her if they knew she only revealed it now because of her circumstances with Zoro. She might play a deaf woman passing but she knew the dissatisfaction her members felt when she favored Zoro above everything else. Even when one of them got injured in the process and almost died, she prioritized him and went as far as issuing an order to stand down. Even with such decisions, they stood by her side with minimal complaints.
"Luffia," She was roused from her stupor when Robin entered with Nami and the others. They exchanged greetings as usual, or at least as usual as they could, considering Luffia had called them so abruptly. Having known her for years, they often remarked that she wore her emotions on her sleeve. The dim light in her eyes revealed that this wasn't a casual gathering. It was clear she had something important to announce. Although they had their suspicions, none of them dared to ask her directly.
"Luffia. Is something the matter?" It was Chopper who asked, eyeing Luffia with deep concern.
Luffia smiled hesitantly, too scared to begin. The silence from everyone only made it worse, as if she could hear a clock ticking in the back of her mind. She knew that if she ran away now, she would never find the courage to tell them again. With all the chaos surrounding them, it was only a matter of time before they learned the truth. It would be better for them to hear it from her rather than from someone else. She wanted to avoid a repeat of what happened with Zoro.
"Many things are happening now. You know my sisters, right? And how we desperately hide our identity." She started, eyes landing on everyone's one at a time. "And we've been in the streets for so long."
She was rambling at this point, afraid to utter the truth.
"We're going to have more trouble chasing us from now on." She said, earning confused looks from everyone. "We have enemies everywhere. New and old ones. They've been after us before we were even born."
"Wait, enemies after the three of you? What do you mean? We get that you have enemies, but isn't it because of what you all do?" Usopp voiced out.
"The enemies I am referring to are not the ones we made all these years, but those that existed before we were born. That is because they are our parents' enemies."
"Your parents?" Robin raised an eyebrow, curious as to where Luffia would lead this conversation.
"Yes. Our Parents. The late Mafia King, Gol D. Roger." Silence engulfed them. Each of them has varying reactions to her revelation.
Robin was blinking as if questioning if she heard Luffia right but was quick to process the information.
Nami gasped alongside Usopp whose eyes were wider than they had ever been. Frankly, I was shocked for a few seconds before shrugging with nonchalance alongside Sanji and Brook. Chopper was the slowest to process the information and gasped loudly.
She looked down, afraid to read more from their eyes.
"W-Wait - Mafia King. I thought he and his family died on that island years ago!" Usopp exclaimed. With Luffia's head hanging low, she failed to notice the glares from the others directed at Usopp for bringing up a sensitive topic.
"Our parents died. But my sisters and I survived." Once again, Luffia was inevitably pulled back to the memories haunting her. "And we vowed to avenge their deaths." Luffia found the courage to look at her friends again, letting them see the raw emotions emitting from her eyes. "That is why I am saying that my life will be more chaotic. People will seek to kill me. I will always be in danger. But all of you don't have to be."
"Luffia - "
"I am sorry for bringing you into this mess. This is not what I had in mind when I formed the group. But don't worry! I will make sure not to implicate any of you."
"Lu - "
"With so many enemies surrounding us, we might get killed. They will stop at nothing to see us dead. Sooner or later, our identities will be revealed. They would target us non-stop. And while the situation is still under control, this is the best time for you to disperse yourselves away from the source of trouble."
"Luffia, that's - "
"The last thing I wanted to happen was to implicate everyone. I am sorry for being so selfish, but I can't let all of you die for my sake - " SLAP! The sound was so crisp, followed by a loud gasp from Chopper and Usopp.
The next thing Luffia registered was the stinging feeling on her right cheek. She looked up and saw Nami's heavy gaze landing on hers.
"You..."
"Nami..."
"How selfish can you be?!"
"What - "
"You want to disband the group? For this reason? Just because your father was the Mafia King?!"
"But - "
"NO! You listen to me! Who was there when we needed help? Who was sacrificing her body to protect us? Who extended a hand when we had nothing to offer? It was you! We stayed in this group because we trust you! We don't give a fuck who your father was. We didn't follow the Mafia King's daughter! We followed the person named Luffia."
When the words finally synced, Nami sighed in relief, anger slowly subsiding.
"We had a rough idea about who you three were. I had my suspicions a long time ago. And as Nami said, we followed you not because of your parents. So don't push us away, Luffia."
"That's right! That's right!" Chopper agreed.
"Well, it's really shocking when you revealed it. Roger was definitely a big name and to think he's your father!" Usopp was in deep thoughts after that.
"Are you - "
"Luffia. Don't think you can get rid of us just because of who your parents were. We're sticking with you." Sanji smiled. With affirmations from different members, Luffia finally calmed down, smiling in exasperation. How could she have doubted them? They had been with her when she was no one and even when her recklessness almost got them killed several times than she could count. Never had their loyalties waver.
"So, which enemy do you need us to target?" Sanji asked with a monotone voice as if targetting someone was as easy as cutting a paper.
"Oi, Sanji! You're scaring me here! Not that I am scared or anything! But calm down!"
"Hehe. Do you need me to assassinate someone?" Robin asked, riding onto the train to scare the hell out of Usopp.
"Robin!"
"What? You never know. I have a few ideas. Maybe flung them upside down while drowning in a moving yacht."
"That's enough! NO!"
The rest ignored Usopp's plea and committed a few more atrocious acts that sent shivers down the man's spine. Witnessing this, Luffia chuckled. She not only had her sisters by her side but these individuals would always support her. Their laughter resonated deeply with her, carrying significant meaning.
When the jokes were set aside, Luffia began telling them about her sisters' situation. Unfortunately, this included Zoro's.
"What a bastard," Sanji commented. "Why blame a daughter - "
"He never blamed me for what happened with his parents." Despite the odds against Zoro and the fallout, Luffia felt like she needed to defend him. "He gave me a choice. What he hated was to see me follow my father's footsteps."
Everyone fell silent. No matter what they think about Zoro, they could never invalidate what he was feeling. Nor does Luffia. They could only imagine how hard it must be for Luffia to make the choice when she didn't have to.
"Luffia. If I may..." Robin raised her hand. "If Zoro found out about your heritage this endangers your identities. Shouldn't we try to find out how they got the information?"
"Sab might be on that, but I'll leave it to you Robin to find out more."
"Of course," Robin answered before her eyes drifted to Nami, an understanding passing by between them.
None of them pointed out the fact that this situation would be bigger than they imagined. Emperors forming alliances was unheard of even when Roger reigned in the streets. And it will be more turbulent as time passes by. It is only a matter of time before Grandline would be thrown into chaos they have not seen since Roger's death.
===XXX===XXX===XXX===
"Good work to Captain Tashigi. She brought us information valuable to end that cursed bloodline." Mars, one of the five elders of the World Government smiled.
"Should we end their miserable lives now?" Saturn asked.
"It would spurn into a war. The last thing we wanted was for the old generals of Roger to bring in chaos. We cannot simply kill them." Nusjuro said.
"But if we delay this matter, they will amass forces. The youngest seemed to be following in the footsteps of their father. It was a good thing that the eldest died." Warcury smirked, satisfied that Perospero ended Ann's life. A few million to pay for it was nothing compared to the relief they felt.
"CP0 proved that they could not get the job done. We might as well contact someone from the Streets. A group that the old generals won't suspect to be connected to us." Ju Peter suggested.
"I doubt they are dumb enough to believe we did not move against the demon's daughters," Nusjuro argued.
"It is true, but what proof would they have if the elimination was performed by a Mafia Group? They could not openly wage war and had no reason to do so. Besides, if they wage war, then it would be pointed to the group who performed the deed. If they take eliminate each other, all the better." Warcury added.
"Then, are we all in agreement to proceed with this?" Saturn asked.
"Yes. Contact Teach and have his group eliminate Gol D. Sab and Gol D. Luffia."
