Hanging out with Allister
The group find a small motel in Stow-on-Side and decide to check into it for the night. As they ate at a small restaurant, they talk about their upcoming gym battle tomorrow.
"I can't wait to try and earn my fourth badge." said Lincoln.
"Neither can I, buddy." said Clyde.
"I'm looking forward to having a large crowd cheering for me." said Lola.
"I want to see all the ghost Pokemon that Allister will have." said Lucy.
"What do you all think the Gym Test is going to be like?" asked Ronnie Anne.
"Don't have a clue." said Lincoln. "But I'm sure we can handle it."
"I hope so." said Leni.
"Let's not worry about it too much, you guys." said Luna.
"We should just eat for now." said Sam as she takes a bite of food. This prompts everyone to continue eating their meals.
Soon, night came, and everyone goes to their motel rooms to get some sleep. While most of them were doing so, Lucy decides to go for a walk outside to see what the city was like at a late hour.
She looks around at the lack of people and felt that Stow-on-Side felt like a ghost town at night with no people around, which she liked. As she looks up, she notices several Gastlies and Haunters heading for a nearby roof.
"Are the spirits gathering?" Lucy asked herself. She looks around the building the ghost Pokemon were hovering over and notices a ladder leading to the top of it; she climbs it to the top. When she gets to the spot where the ghost Pokemon were gathered, she sees the Stow-on-Side gym leader, Allister, sitting on a crate with a Gengar next to him, looking up at the moon. He lets out a sigh before taking off his mask, revealing a face that actually made Lucy blush a little.
'He's so...what's the word my sisters use? Cute?' Lucy thought to herself. She silently moves towards Allister from behind.
"H-H-Hello." said Allister, shocking Lucy. "I know you're there."
"How?" asked Lucy. "None of my siblings could ever detect me when I approach them from behind." Allister looks back towards her with a small smile.
"The spirits told me... so to speak." said Allister as he points at something behind her. Lucy looks to see Duskulls, Gastlies, and a Pokemon that looked like it was wearing some sort of Pikachu costume with a branchlike tail coming out from behind it. Out of curiosity, she points her Rotom Phone at it.
"Mimikyu, the Disguise Pokemon. There was a scientist who peeked under Mimikyu's old rag in the name of research. The scientist died of a mysterious disease." said Lucy's Rotom Phone.
"Wicked." said Lucy. Allister then looks back up at the moon.
"S-So what brings you out at this hour?" asked Allister.
"I'm more fond of the darkness." said Lucy. Allister slides over and pats the spot he was just sitting on, telling Lucy to have a seat, which she complies with.
"I like being out at night as well." said Allister. "I enjoy the quiet and solitude."
"So do I." said Lucy.
"I-I-I know about you and your group." said Allister.
"How?" asked Lucy.
"You're all a major topic among us gym leaders." said Allister. "The white-haired boy has been able to beat Milo, Nessa, and Kabu's Dynamaxed Pokemon with a regular-sized one."
"You mean Lincoln?" asked Lucy.
"How long have you known him?" asked Allister.
"All my life." said Lucy. "He is my older brother."
"Why did he dye his hair white?" asked Allister.
"He didn't; it's always been white since the day he was born." said Lucy.
"That's interesting." said Allister. "Are any other members of your group your siblings?"
"The tall blonde one, Leni; the tall one with short brown hair, Luna; and the twins, Lana and Lola are my sisters." said Lucy.
"You have a lot of sisters." said Allister.
"They're only about half the sisters I have." said Lucy, surprising Allister.
"How many other sisters do you have?" asked Allister.
"Five." said Lucy.
"So, your family has eleven kids?" asked Allister.
"I know it's unbelievable, but it's true." said Lucy. The two sat together in silence for a while before a Gastly floats over to Allister and hovers over a hand that he holds out.
"What kind of Pokemon do you like to use?" asked Allister.
"I mainly like to use ghost type Pokemon." said Lucy.
"So do I." said Allister. Lucy looks at all the ghost Pokemon gathered around them with a small smile on her face.
"I always had a strong connection with ghosts." said Lucy. "I have always been fascinated with the undead."
"So have I." said Allister. "I've always been a little shy around people, so I don't go out when there's a lot of them around." He then grabs his mask and looks at it. "That is why when I'm in front of stadium crowds, I always wear this mask."
"I rarely get along with others except my family and goth friends." said Lucy. Allister nods and looks around at the ghost Pokemon around them.
"When I'm out at night by myself, the only kind of Pokemon I see are ghost types." said Allister. "At first, we've been wary of each other, but over time, we all developed a bond with each other, which lead to me becoming a ghost Pokemon trainer, and over time, the Stow-on-Side gym leader."
"That's cool." said Lucy. Allister smiles as he looks at Lucy.
"You are the first person in a long time that I have ever talked to like this." said Allister. "It's nice to meet someone I can connect with."
"I feel the same way." said Lucy. As the two and the ghost Pokemon look up at the moon, Lucy's head leans onto Allister's shoulder, surprising him and making him blush; but then he smiles and leans his head onto the top of Lucy's.
After a few minutes, Allister and Lucy get up off the crates and look at each other.
"Want to go for a walk?" asked Allister.
"That would be nice." said Lucy. The two climbed down the ladder they used to get to the rooftop they were on to ground level and stroll through the city.
As they walked near a building near the city's Pokemon Center, they see several ghost Pokemon on it roof, hovering around something.
"What do you think's going on up there?" asked Lucy.
"Let's find out." said Allister. The two find a ladder on the side of the building and use it to get to the roof; when they get to the top, they see ghost Pokemon looking at what looked like a damaged teapot.
"Is this what they were looking at?" asked Lucy as she picks the teapot up. "Perhaps they have an appreciation for antiques?"
"That's a Cracked Pot." explained Allister. "It can evolve a ghost Pokemon known as a Sinistea."
"My sister, Lola, has one of those." said Lucy.
"Perhaps she could make use of it?" suggested Allister.
"I'll give it to her in the morning." said Lucy. Once that was done, they all climb down from the roof and continue to walk around the city. After a while, they both decide to call it a night.
"I enjoyed spending time with you, Lucy." said Allister.
"I enjoyed spending time with you as well, Allister." said Lucy.
"Perhaps we can do it again someday." said Allister.
"I would like that." said Lucy with a blush. The two head off to their home/motel room to get some rest for the next day.
That morning, after everyone wakes up and eats, Lucy tells them about last night.
"EEEEEE!" squealed the Loud sisters with delight.
"Lucy was out with a boy!" said Leni.
"Did you enjoy it?" asked Luna.
"Was he polite?" asked Lola. Lucy sighs before taking out the Cracked Pot and hands it to Lola.
"Allister said this will evolve your Sinistea." said Lucy. Lola pulls out her Sinistea's pokeball and releases it; she then touches Sinistea with the Cracked Pot, and it begins to glow and merges with the Cracked Pot. When the glowing stopped, Sinistea had a purple body with thin arms, two small legs, and was now in a large, cracked teapot. Lola takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at her newly evolved Sinistea.
"Polteageist, the Black Tea Pokemon, and the evolved form of Sinistea. Leaving leftover black tea unattended is asking for this Pokémon to come along and pour itself into it, turning the tea into a new Polteageist." said Lola's Rotom Phone.
"EEEEE!" squealed Lola. "According to this, my Polteageist learned Teatime when it evolved; it feeds all the Pokemon it's in battle with a berry it's holding. Anyone have any berries?"
"I still have some Oran Berries in my backpack." said Lincoln. He reaches into his backpack and pulls out an Oran Berry; he then gives it to Lola.
"Thanks, Linky." said Lola. She gives Polteageist the Oran Berry; Lola then returns Polteageist to its pokeball. Soon, everyone exited the motel.
"You guys ready for your gym battles?" asked Lincoln.
"Yeah!" replied everyone else.
"I'll bet Lucy's looking forward to seeing Allister." said Leni, smirking, making Lucy blush. The group then walked down the direction to Stow-on-Side stadium where their gym battles await them.
