Hey, everyone. I'm very sorry for the long wait, but here is Chapter 3 of Shattered World. The reason I didn't post earlier was for two things. The first was that I got sick. Spring is here, and that means my allergies get worse.
The second was the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and I had to play the game because I am a huge Final Fantasy VII fan. It was an amazing game, I loved the story and I had no problems with how they left us wanting to get to play the final part which could come in the next four years, but it will be worth the wait.
But enough about me rambling, here's the story.
Chapter 03: Awaken the Sixth Mark
Rua's Dream
Neo Domino City started collapsing with the high towers crashing down on the lower residence. People were screaming and running away. Some were killed instantly, others trapped and separated from each other.
"Rua! Rua!"
Rua looked from where he was at. "Ruka?"
"Come on, we gotta go before die!"
Rua heard another voice, a voice that was familiar, yet not at the same time. He then felt an explosion and saw debris heading towards him and Rua screamed in fear.
Tops – Penthouse
"Ah!" Rua quickly sat up from his bed. He was sweating so much and he gasped for air. "What in the world? That dream was so real." Rua wiped his sweat.
"I heard Ruka's voice. She was calling out to me. And that other voice…why does it sound so familiar?" Rua thought.
Rua looked at his nightstand where his deck was and he reached for it. He started to remember Yusei Fudo's words after he had a Duel with him and Rua lost.
"I could sense that you really enjoy Dueling from the bottom of your heart. But, your Dueling is a bit too self-centered. Weren't you satisfied with just getting your four Deformers together? Deformers are monsters that can change effects depending on the situation, but what ends up being able to change the situation is your Dueling. If I Dueled all smug and not knowing how to counterattack, I'd be on a long path towards being King."
"Yusei was right. I never thought after I pulled off my formation. I gotta do better. For myself, and for Ruka, especially since I'm taking her place in the Fortune Cup." Rua clenched his deck tighter.
Tops Penthouse – Living Room
Rua got dressed in his blue short sleeve jacket, shorts, shoes and vest and slid down the stair wells. "Okay, Yusei! Let's have a rematch!" Rua shouted excitingly.
However, Yusei wasn't there. "Huh? No way! Yusei?" Rua looked in the kitchen. "Yusei?" He looked in the closet. "Yusei?!" Rua looked in the toilet.
"What is it, Rua?" Ruka, Rua's sister walked down, still in her pink pjs and still sleepy.
"Ruka! Yusei's gone!" Rua moaned.
"So, he left after all." Ruka had a feeling that Yusei wouldn't stay around after his Duel with Rua. She then noticed something on the table.
"Why'd he leave?! You just had to go and say that, Ruka! Aw man, where'd Yusei go?!" Rua ran around the apartment.
"Don't take it out on me. Besides, look at this." Ruka picked up her Duel Disk, which was smaller for her size.
"It's lighter." Rua picked his up and put it on. "Look! It fits perfectly!"
"He…must have modified them so they'd fit us." Ruka guessed.
"Impressive, he can do anything, huh?" Rua grew more admiration for Yusei. He remembered Yusei checking on his D-Wheel, the way he stood confidently, the way he Dueled, the way his red and green hair would flow in the wind.
"Wait? Red and green hair? Yusei doesn't have that?" Rua knew that Yusei had black and gold hair, but for some reason Rua saw someone else with Yusei's D-Wheel.
"Rua, what's wrong?" Ruka asked with concern.
"What?" Rua snapped out of his thoughts and looked at Ruka.
"You're crying." Ruka had a tissue in her hand and wiped Rua's tears.
"Huh? I was?" Rua looked at the wet tissue. "I was. That's weird."
"You didn't even realize it?" Ruka asked.
Suddenly, the video phone went off and Rua went to answer it. "Morning, Rua!" Rua and Ruka's friend, Teppei appeared.
"Oh, Teppei, you're early." Rua smiled.
"You promised today. You didn't forget, did you?" Teppei said.
"Uh…what did I promise?" Rua completely forget.
"The Black Rose Witch! We're going to the Diamon Area to beat the Black Rose Witch!" Teppei shouted.
"Oh, right. That promise. Sorry." Rua apologized.
"Isn't the Witch really strong at Dueling. According the rumors, people who lose get exterminated by the Witch." Ruka said.
"I'll be fine! You see, I built the strongest deck to defeat the witch!" Teppei showed his cards.
"Oh, cool." Rua admired Teppei's cards.
"Talks from eyewitnesses about the Witch's Deck have popped up online. I analyzed them and I built something that's guaranteed not to lose." Teppei spoke confidently.
"Okay, I'll head over and—oh wait. Can we hold off till later, I'm supposed to help Aunt Rin over at the shop. We're finally gonna finish it!"
"Whoa, really?! You gotta let me see it!" Teppei got excited.
"Yeah, you bet. I'll bring it over as soon as I'm done." Rua smiled.
"Okay, see ya then!" Teppei ended the call.
"This is gonna be so cool!" Rua got excited. "Come on, Ruka. You got see what we did."
"No thanks, Rua. And I don't like that you've been going to see Aunt Rin despite Mom and Dad telling us not to get involved with her." Ruka scolded.
"Aunt Rin is family, so she did some time, it's not like she's a bad person." Rua said.
"She's a bad influence, Mom and Dad said so." Ruka said.
"Look, this will be the last time. After this, I won't see her again. I promise." Rua promised.
"Last time." Ruka sternly stated.
Neo Domino City – Wind Witch Metal Shop
In a metal shop, a young woman with short green hair, wearing a red jumpsuit was welding some pieces of metal together.
"Aunt Rin!" Rua came into the shop, making Rin stop her welding and take off her welding helmet.
"There's my favorite nephew!" Rin smiled as Rua ran to her and gave her a big hug. "How are you doing?"
"I'm doing good. Hey, I met someone cool yesterday! He had a D-Wheel and we Dueled and he fixed my Duel Disk, look!" Rua showed his modified Duel Disk to Rin.
"Oh, looks like you saved me some time. With this, the project is about finished." Rin smiled.
"Really?!" Rua's eyes sparkled.
"Let's find out." Rin picked up what she was working on, a high-tech skateboard.
Rua and Rin went outside with Rua getting excited to try out the skateboard. "Safety first!" Rin put a helmet on Rua's head with a visor as well as elbow and knee pads.
Rua stepped on the skate board and his feet were locked into place. "Now let the board connect to your Duel Disk. You'll know it's connected when you hear the engine." Rin instructed.
"Okay." Rua activated his Duel Disk and the board's engine came to life. "It works!"
"Now take it for a spin!" Rin pushed Rua hard and he moved forward fast.
"Wh-Whoa!" Rua screamed as he was speeding down the alley. "How do I stop?!"
"It's like a regular skateboard, but don't stop! How else will you win a Riding Duel if you stop? You want to be stronger, right?! Prove it now!" Rin yelled.
"Aunt Rin's right. I want to get stronger!" Rua leaned his body and turned around the corner.
"Whoa!" Rua went down a construction ditch. "Okay, you got this. You got this." Rua leaned his body left and right to avoid the construction equipment.
"Okay, time for a little air action!" Rua skated up a half pipe and did a spin before landing to gain some speed. "Yes!" Rua cheered.
"Wohoo!" Rua sped up some more, performing tricks either on the ground or in the air. "This is so—AHHH!" Rua screamed as he saw a white D-Wheel heading towards him fast and he started to skid to a halt.
"Hey, are you trying to kill me?!" Rua yelled at the D-Wheeler, who was wearing a white suit and green helmet.
"Can you really save Neo Domino the way you are now?" The D-Wheeler asked.
"What?" Rua asked.
"You failed once before. Will you fail again? Will you fail to protect your sister? Your friends?" The D-Wheeler asked.
"I failed before?" Rua was confused.
"Your sister lost consciousness, trapped within the Duel Monsters Spirit World. Yet you did nothing to help her." The young man spoke.
"How does he know that?" Rua thought. "What was a I supposed to do, I'm just a kid."
"You are more than what you see in yourself. I know because you fought by my father's side, many years ago." The young man said.
"Years ago? I'm only 11 years old. And I don't even know your dad." Rua said. "I don't even know who you are?"
"Your head says yes, but what about your heart?" The man removed his helmet to reveal that he had dark red hair and light green hair like Rin. He had orange eyes, but what made Rua gasp was his face.
"His face…it's so familiar." Rua thought of the person who had Yusei's D-Wheel with red and green hair.
"This world's destiny has already been determined. But it is the not the right way for any of us. In order for things to return to normal, we must awaken the power sleeping within you." The young man said.
"The power sleeping within me?" Rua was confused.
"I, Yukio Ryuga, challenge you to a Duel! And you cannot refuse!" Yukio revved his engine and he took off and Rua was suddenly dragged with him. "Wh-What?!" Rua panicked as he was dragged forward.
"Field Magic: Speed World Neo, set on!" Yukio activated the Speed World Neo Field Magic.
"Duel Mode: On! Autopilot Standby!" Rua's D-Board and Yukio's D-Wheel went into autopilot as Speed World Neo expanded.
"Huh? Speed World Neo?" Rua thought it was just Speed World.
"The regular Speed World sets restrictions on a Duelists potential by limiting which cards to use. Duelists don't need restrictions, face me with your full power!" Yukio shouted.
Rua read the card description for Speed World Neo. "I see, with this I'm allowed to use Magic Cards as well as Speed Spells, but it'll cost me a Speed Counter to activate it."
"Now, show me what you've got!" Yukio shouted.
"Fine, bring it on!" Rua prepared himself.
"Duel!" Rua and Yukio declared.

"I'm going first! Draw!" Yukio drew his card. "I summon Speedroid Paching-Kart (ATK: 1800, LV: 4)!" Yukio summoned a machine-type monster. "With this, I end my turn!"
"My turn! Draw!" Rua drew his card.
Yukio LP: 4000, Hand: 5, SC: 0→1
Rua LP: 4000, Hand: 6, SC: 0→1
"I summon Deformer Mobahon (ATK: 100, LV: 1) in Attack Position!" Rua summoned his phone monster. "I activate Deformer Mobahon's effect! When it's in Attack Position, a random number from 1 to 6 is selected! I can flip the same number of cards as the number selected and if any of them are a Level 4 or lower monster, I can Special Summon it! Dial on!"
Mobahon's lights blinked before landing on a 3. Rua flipped the top three cards of his deck and smiled. "Alright! I Special Summon Deformer Slingshot (ATK: 1200, LV: 4) in Attack Position!" Rua summoned a slingshot Deformer.
"I activate Deformer Slingshot's Attack Position effect! Once per turn, I can release one Deformer monster other than this card to destroy one card on the opponent's field! I release Mobahon to destroy Speedroid Pachingo-Kart!"
Mobahon went to Slingshot's sling and Slingshot fired Mobahon and destroyed Pachingo-Kart. "Battle! Deformer Slingshot! Direct Attack!" Rua ordered and Slingshot fired a blast at Yukio, damaging him.
Yukio LP: 4000→2800
"Alright! I did it!" Rua cheered.
"Really? You're that happy just because you destroyed my monster?" Yukio raised an eyebrow at Rua. "You're Dueling is so self-centered."
Rua gasped as that was the same thing Yusei told him. "I did it again. I have to be ready for a counterattack." Rua looked at his hand. "I set one card and end my turn!" Rua finished his turn.
"My turn! Draw!" Yukio drew his card.
Yukio LP: 2800, Hand: 6, SC: 1→2
Rua LP: 4000, Hand: 4, SC: 1→2
"I summon Speedroid Bamboo Horse (ATK: 1100, LV: 4)!" Yukio summoned a mechanical horse. "Bamboo Horse's Monster Effect! When this monster is Normal Summoned, I can Special Summon a Level 4 or lower monster from my hand!"
"I Special Summon the Tuner Monster, Speedroid Red-Eyed Dice (ATK: 100, LV: 1)!" Yukio summoned a die.
"A Tuner Monster?!" Rua exclaimed.
"I'm Tuning my Level 4 Bamboo Horse with my Level 1 Red-Eyed Dice!" Red-Eyed Dice turned into a single green ring and Bamboo Horse flew through it and became four stars.
"Lively soul of swordplay. Synchro Summon! Come! Level 5! High-Speedroid Chanbarider (ATK: 2000, LV: 5)!" Yukio summoned a machine that was a large sword with a jet engine.
"Battle! Chanbarider, attack Deformer Slingshot!" Chanbarider charged in. "Chanbarider's effect activates! When it battles, it gains 100 Attack Points!" Chanbarider gained power.
Chanbarider (ATK: 2000→2100)
Chanbarider destroyed Slingshot in an instant and Rua was pushed back hard that he almost lost his balance but he barely managed to stay on his board.
Rua LP: 4000→3100
"Chanbarider is allowed to attack twice during the Battle Phase! Go! Chanbarider! Direct Attack!" Chanbarider charged in towards Rua. "Chanbarider's Monster Effect activates!"
Chanbarider (ATK: 2100→2200)
"Ah!" Rua screamed. "I activate my Trap Card: Deformer Scramble! When my opponent attacks me directly while control no monsters on my field, I can negate the attack!" Rua quickly avoided the attack and took a sigh of relief. "Then, I'm allowed to Special Summon a Deformer monster from my hand! Appear! Deformer Magnen U (DEF: 800, LV: 3) in Defense Position!" A magnet appeared on the field.
"I set one card and end my turn!" Yukio finished his turn.
"Man, that was close. It's a good thing I did prepare for that. I really got to start thinking ahead here, otherwise, I'll Duel before I know it." Rua wiped his sweat.
"That's right, Rua. You need to push yourself harder. You have to so we can see dad again and bring back our home." Yukio thought.
"My turn! Draw!" Rua drew his card.

Rua LP: 3100, Hand: 4, SC: 2→3
"Alright!" Rua smiled as he looked at the card he drew. "Time for me to match your Synchro with my own! From my hand, I summon the Tuner Monster, Deformer Scopen (DEF: 1400, LV: 3)!" Rua summoned his microscope. "Deformer Scopen's Defense Position effect changes Scopen's Level to Level 4!"
Deformer Scopen (LV: 3→4)
"I'm Tuning my Level 3 Deformer Magnen U with my now Level 4 Deformer Scopen!" Scopen turned into four green rings and Magnen U flew through them to become three stars.
"Docking strength with courage to protect the world's peace! Synchro Summon! Envoy of love and justice, Power Tool Dragon (ATK: 2300, LV: 7)!" Rua summoned his mechanical dragon.
"Impressive Synchro Summon, but don't forget my Chanbarider gains 100 Attack Points whenever it's involved in battle! The moment you attack, both Chanbarider and Power Tool will be destroyed!" Yukio pointed out.
"I activate Power Tool Dragon's Monster Effect! Once per turn, I can add a random Equip Magic card from my deck to my hand." Rua's deck shuffled and a card popped out from the middle and Rua grabbed it.
"Alright! I use another Speed Counter to activate the Equip Magic: Power Pickaxe!" Rua played his Equip Magic while losing speed.
Rua SC: 3→2
"This card, once per turn, I can banish one monster from my opponent's Graveyard whose Level is less than or equal to my equipped monster's! I banish from your Graveyard, Speedroid Pachingo-Kart!" Rua pointed to Yukio as his monster was banished.
"Then, when Power Tool Dragon attacks, it gains half of the Attack Points of the banished monster! Battle! Power Tool Dragon, attack High Speedroid Chanbarider! Crafty Break!" Power Tool charged as he gained power from Power Pickaxe
Power Tool Dragon (ATK: 2300→3200)
"Chanbarider's effect activates!" Yukio shouted his Chanbarider gained power.
Chanbarider (ATK: 2200→2300)
However, Chanbarider was instantly destroyed by Power Tool Dragon's attack and Yukio took some damage.
Yukio LP: 2800→1900
"At the end of the Damage Step, Power Tool Dragon's Attack Points return to normal." Rua pointed out.
Power Tool Dragon (ATK: 3200→2300)
"I set one card and end my turn!" Rua finished his turn.
"So, you brought out your ace monster, not bad." Yukio looked back. "However, this Duel is far from over! My turn! Draw!" Yukio drew his card.
Yukio LP: 1900, Hand: 4, SC: 3→4
Rua LP: 3100, Hand: 2, SC: 2→3
"I activate my Trap Card: Call of the Living Dead! This card lets me Special Summon one monster from my Graveyard in Attack Position! Revive! High Speedroid Chanbarider (ATK: 2000, LV: 6)!" Yukio brought back his Synchro Monster.
"And I just got rid of that monster…" Rua gritted his teeth.
"When I have a Wind monster on my field, I can Special Summon the Tuner Monster, Speedroid CarTurbo (ATK: 800, LV: 3)!" Yukio summoned another machine monster.
"I'm Tuning my Level 5 High Speedroid Chanbarider with my Level 3 Speedroid CarTurbo!" CarTurbo turned into three green rings and Chanbarider flew through them and became eight stars.
"Ultimate machine that charges faster than the speed of sound! Synchro Summon! Appear! Level 8! High Speedroid Kidrake (ATK: 3000, LV: 8)!" Yukio summoned a machine that looked almost like a dragon made up of different Speedroid monsters.
"I activate High Speedroid Kidrake's effect! When this monster is Synchro Summoned, I can negate the effects of all face-up cards my opponent controls!" Yukio revealed.
"What?!" Rua gasped as Kidrake made Power Tool unable to use its effects. "Damn it, now I can't use Power Tool's effect to prevent his destruction.
"When a Speedroid monster is Special Summoned, I can Special Summon Speedroid 5 6 Plane (ATK: 1800, LV: 5)!" Yukio summoned a plane monster. "When this monster is Special Summoned, one monster on my opponent's field loses 600 Attack Points!" 5 6 plane fired bullets at Power Tool making him weaker.
Power Tool Dragon (ATK: 2300→1700)
"No! Power Tool!" Rua cried.
"Battle! Speedroid 5 6 Plane, attack Power Tool Dragon!" 5 6 plane fired bullets and Power Tool was destroyed.
Rua LP: 3100→3000
"This is the end! High Speedroid Kidrake! Direct Attack!" Kidrake headed towards Rua.
"I activate my Trap Card: Deformer Rescue! This card lets me Special Summon a Deformer Tuner Monster from my hand in Attack Position! Appear! Tuner Monster, Deformer Telehon (ATK: 100, LV: 1)! Rua Special Summoned a telephone who turned into a robot.
"Then, Kidrake, attack Deformer Telehon!" Kidrake struck Deformer Telehon.
"The monster Special Summoned via Deformer Rescue isn't destroyed in battle or by card effects!" Rua grunted.
"But you still take damage!" Yukio pointed out and a shockwave made Rua lose control of his D-Board and his arm hit the side of the freeway hard, making a loud cracking sound that made Rua scream in pain.
Rua LP: 3000→100
"I set one card and end my turn." Yukio finished his turn and he continued to speed up.
"Ow." Rua held his arm. "I think my arm is fractured."
"Is that all you got?! If that's really your full power, you won't be able to protect what's important to you!" Yukio shouted.
"I…" Rua wanted to argue, but he couldn't deny it. Power Tool was not only his ace monster, but also his strongest monster. Even if he did bring it back, and by a miracle he could defeat Kidrake, Yukio could come up with a counter to take away the last 100 Life Points.
"Call to me."
"Huh?" Rua perked up when he heard a voice.
"Break my armor, let me be free. Only then, will we both start our climb to reach the ultimate power to protect those we love. But, to break my armor, you must be ready."
"Ready for what?" Rua asked.
"You must be ready to protect those you love, that you are willing to give up your life. Just as your friend did, many years ago."
Rua saw the silhouette of the person that he admired. How he faced an army and charged forward with his dichromatic dragon. He wasn't afraid to die to protect what was important to him.
"I…will do anything for Ruka." Rua felt his arm burn as he reached for his deck. "I won't lose! I won't give up! I still believe that I can win! I have hope! My turn! Draw!" Rua drew his card.
Yukio LP: 1900, Hand: 1, SC: 4→5
Rua LP: 100, Hand: 3, SC: 3→4
"I activate Deformer Telehon's Attack Position Effect! Once per turn, a random number from 1 to 6 is selected and depending on the number, I gain that amount of Life Points times 100! Dial!" Telehon's numbers lit at random before stopping at four.
"I regain 400 Life Points and then Special Summon a Deformer monster from my Graveyard with a Level that is equal or lower than the result! I Special Summon Deformer Slingshot (ATK: 1200, LV: 4)!" Rua brought back his slingshot.
Rua LP: 100→500
"So, you're gonna use Slingshot to destroy Kidrake, huh?" Yukio looked back. "But the moment you destroy Kidrake with a card effect, I can activate my Trap Card: Speedroid Scrap Exchange in order to release 5 6 Plane to not only bring back Kitedrake but deal you 100 points of damage times Kidrake's Level."
"I release Deformer Slingshot!" Rua released Slingshot.
"Huh?" Yukio was surprised that Rua released Slingshot.
"I Advance Summon Gadget Crane (ATK: 1900, LV: 5)!" Rua summoned a Gadget monster with a very large crane.
"I activate Gadget Crane's Monster Effect! By banishing at least two Machine-type monsters in my Graveyard, I can Special Summon a Machine-type Synchro Monster whose Level is equal to the combined Levels of the banished monsters!" Rua revealed. "I banish the Level 4 Deformer Slingshot and the Level 3 Deformer Scopen!"
Gadget Crane lowered its crane into a portal that was the Graveyard. "Revive! Power Tool Dragon (ATK: 2300, LV: 7)!" Gadget Crane pulled out Power Tool Dragon and it was ready to make a comeback.
"Power Tool and a Level 1 Tuner Monster, is it coming?!" Yukio prepared himself.
Rua's arm burned hotter, but he focused on the Duel. "Power Tool, let's break off your armor! I'm Tuning my Level 7 Power Tool Dragon with my Level 1 Deformer Telehon!" Telehon turned into a single green ring while Power Tool Dragon flew through it and became seven stars.
"The courage and power to protect the world's future is a Revolution! Synchro Summon! Evolve, Life Stream Dragon (ATK: 2900, LV: 8)!" Power Tool's armor shattered to reveal his true form as a gold and brown dragon with a spear on his right arm.
Public Maintenance Department
"Director! Take a look at this! The moooooomentum is spiraling fast!" Akutsu spun around like a crazy man to emphasize his meaning. "It's the same energy that happened when the King faced the Satellite Duelist!"
"Do we have a location of the source?" Yeager asked.
"Yes, right here." Akutsu showed the Duel between Rua and Yukio.
"Oh, is that one of the five Signer Dragon's, sir?" Yeager asked.
"Yes…though it was believed to be lost." Rex Godwin looked at the dragon. "Professor Fudo only had four of them though. For this one to appear?"
"Who is the Duelist who has this card?" Godwin asked.
"It's just a kid named Rua. Oh, here's something interesting. He has a twin sister with whom we think is a Signer." Yeager reported.
"Hm…I think this calls for a change of plans for the Fortune Cup." Godwin smiled.
Rua vs Yukio
"When Life Stream Dragon is Synchro Summoned, all players with less than 2000 Life Points become 2000!" Life Stream Dragon's wings glowed rainbow as he healed both Rua and Yukio.
Rua LP: 500→2000
Yukio LP: 1900→2000
"Next, from my hand, I activate the Speed Spell – High Speed Crash! When I have two or more Speed Counters, I destroy one card on my field and along with another card on the field! I destroy Gadget Crane and High Speedroid Kidrake!"
"Don't think you have this Duel won, I activate my Trap Card: Speedroid Scrap Exchange! By releasing a Speedroid monster on my field, I can Special Summon a Speedroid Synchro Monster from my Graveyard! I release 5 6 Plane!" Yukio got rid of his plane. "Revive! High Speedroid Kidrake!" Yukio brought back Kidrake. "Next, the opponent takes 100 points of damage times the revived monster's Level!" Yukio's card sent a lightning bolt towards Rua.
"As long as Life Stream Dragon is on the field, all effect damage is negated!" Life Stream protected Rua.
"Damn…" Yukio cursed.
"From my Graveyard, I activate the effect of Gadget Crane! If my opponent has a monster that was Special Summoned from the Graveyard, by banishing this card, that monster has its Attack Points reduced to 0 for the remainder of the turn!"
"What?!" Yukio exclaimed.
High Speedroid Kidrake (ATK: 3000→0)
"Battle! Life Stream Dragon, attack High Speedroid Kidrake! Life's Beauty Howl!" Life Stream Dragon unleashed its breath attack and it destroyed Kidrake and making Yukio scream as he was forced to come to a halt.
Yukio LP: 2000→0
Winner: Rua
Rua skid to a halt and removed his helmet which was poured with sweat. "Man…that was…intense…"
"Well done, Rua." Yukio got off his D-Wheel. "You managed to at least unlock your true power."
"My true power…is that Life Stream Dragon." Rua looked at his card.
"However, that power can still evolve, but it depends on the Duelist. You can't stop here, Rua, you have to get stronger, if you're gonna keep being a hero." Yukio said. "I too will get stronger and one day, we can both see my father again."
"Wait, who is your dad?" Rua asked.
"Get stronger and you'll find out. See ya." Yukio drove off.
"Wait!" Rua called out but Yukio was already gone.
Suddenly, Rua's cell phone went off and he answered it. "Hello?"
"Rua, where are you?!" Teppei shouted. "You were supposed to be here already looking for the Black Rose Witch!"
"Oh, sorry. Got sidetracked. I'll be there." Rua got on his D-Board and zoomed off.
On the rooftop, Rin looked down at Rua speeding away as Yukio joined her. "You could've won the Duel if you used your own deck, you know." Rin said.
"I know…but that's not important right now. What's important is that I gave Rua the push to get stronger and change this world's destiny." Yukio said. Yukio then heard a sniffle and saw Rin crying. "Mom, what's wrong?"
"I'm sorry." Rin wiped her tears. "It's just…you remind me so much of your father. He would be so proud of the young man you are."
"We'll see him again, Mom. I know we will. We can't give up hope." Yukio hugged his mother and she hugged him back.
Rua and Ruka's Apartment
"Man, that was crazy." Rua rubbed the back of his head. When he went to meet up with Teppei, he also got a chance to reunite with Yusei again. But the reunion was cut short when the Black Rose Witch did appear and caused a lot of damage. He also noticed Yusei's Signer Mark on his arm.
"Hey, Ruka, go ahead and give me some of your clothes so I can be ready for tomorrow." Rua walked up to Ruka.
"I don't think the plan is going to work anymore, Rua." Ruka looked at him with worry.
"Why not? We're twins, who's gonna know?" Rua questioned.
"Everyone does, because you're invited to participate in the Fortune Cup, too." Ruka held up a letter from the Fortune Cup.
"What?" Rua took the letter and it was true. Rua was gonna be a participant in the Fortune Cup, unfortunately, it dawned on him that Ruka will have no choice but to participate as well. "Oh, this can't be good."
And that is the end of Chapter 3. I skipped the part with the Black Rose Witch because, it would kind of be the same thing as the anime. There will be changes regarding the 5D's timeline as well as the others, but there will be things that will remain the same.
