Hey, everyone. Here's Chapter 05 of Shattered Universe. I'm sorry I didn't update last week. I have been dealing with a dilemma.
I was scammed and lost all of my money and my bank is trying to force me to pay them back even though policy tells them that they have to reimburse me my lost money. For a bank to promotes customer satisfaction, they're too lazy to do anything when it will cost them money. I have already filed a police report and submitted a complain against the bank but the waiting process is too long and it's making me very anxious. I just hope things resolve soon.
Anyway, here's the chapter.
Chapter 05: Red-Eyes vs Barbarian King
Duelist Kingdom – Pegasus' Castle
Pegasus was sitting at his table enjoying his breakfast as today was the start of his tournament. "The day has finally arrived. I wonder how Yugi-boy will be able to handle the obstacles of my tournament to reach me and get back what's precious to him."
"With the power I gave to you, you'll be able to defeat Yugi with no problem." A new voice spoke behind Pegasus.
"I am grateful for receiving your power but I must ask you something." Pegasus looked behind him with a serious expression.
"Oh?" The man questioned.
"Why did you want me to extend an invitation to Katsuya Jonouchi? His only a beginner Duelist." Pegasus asked.
"He may be a beginner now, but he's got extraordinary raw talent sleeping within him. The faster he is eliminated the more chance that both of our goals can be achieved." The man spoke. "Trust me on this, you don't want to underestimate him."
"Very well, if it's to benefit the both of us, I'll eliminate him along with Yugi boy." Pegasus stood up.
"And the Duel Format for your tournament?"
"It's finalized and running within all of the Duel Arenas." Pegasus said.
"Excellent."
Unknown to both of them, Yuka was listening outside from the window. "Is that power is what preventing us from finding Aunt Aoi?" Yuka thought as she recalled an earlier conversation with her siblings.
Empty Void
"Everything is going according to plan." Yukio said.
"Yes, the Guardians are going to start to change their destiny." Yumiko agreed.
Yuka noticed her brother, Yusaku in deep thought. "What's wrong, Big Brother?"
"You all haven't noticed it?" Yusaku questioned.
"Noticed what?" Yukio asked.
"We found Jonouchi, Asuka, Rua and Rio within the rebuilt dimensions. We know Dad is in another universe, but we're still missing one more member of the Guardians." Yusaku said.
"Oh, you mean Aunt Aoi." Yuka realized.
"That's been bothering me too." Yumiko admitted. "When the world was split by the Dark Phoenix, I was sure that it was split into five."
"But we've only found four of them. What happened to the fifth one?" Yukio said.
"Do you think what happened to Aunt Aoi…happened to Mom." Yuka looked distressed when she said that.
"Hey, it's gonna be okay. For now, let's focus on what we can do. Maybe we can learn more on the way." Yumiko hugged her little sister. "We'll find Aunt Aoi and Aunt Yuzu."
Suddenly, a loud roar was heard for all of them to hear. "Whoa, what was that?!" Yukio was surprised by the roar.
"Wait…I know that roar…" Yusaku said. "Starve Venom?"
Duelist Kingdom – Pier
The boat was approaching the pier with Jonouchi, Yugi, Anzu and Honda looking out. "We're finally here, Yugi." Jonouchi said.
"That's the Duelist Kingdom." Yugi confirmed.
The anchor dropped and a walkway was connected to the boat with security at the exit. "Hey Anzu, what if they figure out, we don't have any Star Chips? We're stowaways, aren't we?" Honda whispered as he started to sweat.
"It's alright! They won't examine us again! But they will suspect you if you look all scared!" Anzu pointed out.
The group exited the boat but with Honda being nervous, he walked like a robot. "Hey!" A guard called out to Honda, making him freeze and the others stop. "You should relax a bit more."
"Thank you, sir!" Honda bowed before joining his friends again and sighing in relief when he joined up with his friends. "I thought my heart was gonna stop."
"Geez, you are more timid than you look." Anzu teased.
"Achoo!" Jonouchi sneezed hard before wiping his nose.
"Sorry, Jonouchi. It's my fault." Yugi apologized. Jonouchi must've gotten a cold when Jonouchi dove in the ocean to get his Exodia cards back.
"Don't worry about. Anyway, the unforgivable one is that guy." Jonouchi turned to look at Haga, who was giggling happily.
"Haga, I will never forgive you." Yugi glared at Haga.
"Duelists! Please gather at the gate of that castle!" A man ordered the contestants to go to Pegasus's Castle.
Pegasus's Castle
The group walked up the steps towards Pegasus's castle when Anzu stopped in her tracks. "What's wrong, Anzu?" Yugi asked.
"I saw Bakura over there…" Anzu pointed towards the forest.
"Bakura?" Yugi looked but no one was there.
"Again?" Honda sighed.
"Again?" Jonouchi questioned.
"Anzu though she saw him on the boat ride over here." Honda explained.
"Huh? He's gone? I guess I was just imagining it." Anzu said.
"Let's just keep going." Honda said. But unknown to him Bakura was there.
More and more contestants had arrived at the gate and there was big chatter among them.
"Hey, look! There are some impressive members here!"
"It's the champion of Japan, Insector Haga, and the runner up, Dinosaur Ryuzaki!"
"And there's Ryota Kajiki, who came in third place!"
"Without Kaiba here, the winner has to be one of those three."
"Now that you mention it, that Yugi guy who beat Kaiba's gotta be here somewhere!"
"He's got to be incredible to have beaten Kaiba!"
"I wonder who that guy is!"
Yugi was blushing with embarrassment while Jonouchi nudged his shoulder in encouragement. Anzu and Honda were just happy that Yugi was being praised.
"Duelists! Your host, Master Pegasus, will now explain the Dueling rules of this tournament!"
Pegasus made his way to the balcony and everyone was amazed by the presence of the President of Industrial Illusions and the creator of Duel Monsters. Pegasus looked down at Yugi which made Yugi glare at him.
"Pegasus…the man who used that Power of Darkness of his to steal my grandpa's soul!" Yugi thought.
"So, you came, Yugi boy." Pegasus then looked at Jonouchi who perked up a little. "Raw talent, huh? Hm, it's untapped though, I should get my eliminators to go after him."
"Why is he looking at me?" Jonouchi was confused.
"Welcome! Welcome to the Duelist Kingdom!" Pegasus welcomed everyone. This made everyone cheer in excitement. "Now allow me to explain the rules to you!"
"Please use your Duel Monsters cards freely during this tournament. You will hold 8000 Life Points! Direct Attack are allowed! And as a special rule, you will be allowed to Normal Summon High Level Monsters without releasing! This summon is known as Dimension Summon!"
"Dimension Summon…" Yugi repeated.
"That being said, Battle Damage will be done differently with Dimension Summoned monsters! If a monster Dimension Summoned is destroyed in battle, the player that summoned it will take damage equal to the destroyed monster's Attack or Defense Points, depending on the battle position it was in!" Pegasus revealed.
"I get it. Dimension Summon is a double-edged sword." Yugi said.
"What do you mean?" Jonouchi asked.
"Let's take Kaiba's Blue-Eyes and my Black Magician. There's a 500-point difference between them meaning I would normally take 500 points of damage. But if Black Magician was Dimension Summoned, if it was destroyed in battle, I would take Black Magician's 2500 Attack Points as damage to my Life Points!" Yugi explained.
"That would explain why the Life Points are doubled to 8000." Jonouchi figured it out. "Dimension Summon…"
"You may fight to your heart's content using your strongest card decks you've brought with you! Every Duelist received a Duel Glove in advance as well as two Star Chips!" Pegasus showed the items.
"On the Glove's ring, there are 10 holes in which you can keep your Star Chips. These Star Chips are proof of your status as a Duelist. You will bet on these Star Chips while Dueling! This whole island is a battlefield for your Duels. Duelists who have collected 10 Star Chips within the next 48 hours will be permitted to enter my castle!"
"Those with less than 10 Star Chips by the end of the time limit or those who have lost all of them will be deported from the island! Now, my cherished Duelists, I wish you all the best of luck! You have one hour to prepare!" Pegasus said and he walked away.
Duelist Kingdom – Plains
"So, we both have to win 8 Star Chips in total." Jonouchi put on his glove and inserted his two Star Chips. "So, what are you planning to do, Yugi?"
"I've made up my mind. I'll fight against Haga first." Yugi said.
"I've figured you say that." Jonouchi said.
"Yugi!" Anzu saw Haga in the distance.
"Haga!" Yugi called out but Haga started to run away.
"Hey, get back here!" Jonouchi called out. Yugi then chased after Haga. "Hey, wait!" Jonouchi ran after Yugi with Anzu and Honda behind him.
As they chased after Haga, they heard the sound of punches and kicks and they saw multiple Duelists badly beaten and bruised. "Heh, weaklings." The one that beat them up was a tall and muscular young man with blue pants, a red sash on his abdomen, a purple shirt with thick pauldrons along with a blue jacket as well as a pair of steel bracers and sandals.
"Hey…you can't do that…you haven't Dueled us…" One of the Duelists said weakly.
"I'm not gonna waste my time Dueling you when the result is obvious!" He then stepped on the Duelists head hard.
"Hey, jackass!" Jonouchi ran towards him.
"Wait, Jonouchi!" Yugi called out.
"You go after Haga, I'll catch up later!" Jonouchi shouted.
"But…" Yugi said.
"Don't worry, I'll stay with Jonouchi. You go and take out that creep." Honda volunteered to stay.
"But Jonouchi is still a beginner." Anzu said.
"I'll try to get him to stop and come root for you. But you can't let Haga get away. Get going." Honda urged.
Yugi looked at Jonouchi and noticed the fire burning in his eyes. "Okay. Let's go, Anzu." Yugi continued going after Haga.
"You better catch up." Anzu said before following Yugi.
"Hey, what the hell are you doing?" Jonouchi shouted as he confronted the young man.
"Huh? You want me to take you're Star Chips too?!" The young man went to punch Jonouchi but Jonouchi caught his fist. "Oh, you're strong for a toothpick."
Jonouchi pushed the young man away as Honda joined him. "Why are you taking their Star Chips without Dueling them?"
"Because I know I'm gonna beat them. Besides, this is an act of mercy. This way they won't be humiliated when I beat them to the ground." The young man said.
"And who are you to decide that?" Honda questioned.
"I'm Gen Ankokuji, and I'm gonna use this tournament to promote the Barbarian Dojo's Duel Style!" Gen introduced himself.
"Barbarian Dojo?" Jonouchi questioned.
"Of course, you idiots wouldn't know what it is. It's an underground school where we take in people who want to win by any means necessary! No matter how dirty the tactics, no matter how much we are scorned, victory is all that matters in the end!" Gen declared.
"That's not Dueling is all about!" Jonouchi shouted. "Dueling is about the Heart of the Cards and having honor!"
"Tch…honor…whenever I hear that word…I think of someone who absolutely infuriates me! I don't know his name…but he pisses me off!" Gen imagined a young man his age next to Jonouchi with red and green hair.
"Duel me!" Jonouchi declared. "If I win, you not only hand over your Star Chips to me but you'll give it back to all these Duelists you stole from!"
"Oh really? In that case, how about if I win, not only will you give me your Star Chips, you have to swear to never Duel again!" Gen said.
"Hey, you can't do that!" Honda shouted.
"He put up high stakes so I matched it. Unless you want to take the easy way out." Gen cracked his knuckles.
"Fine, you're on!" Jonouchi accepted.
"But Jonouchi…" Honda said.
"I won't lose. I have someone worth fighting for. And besides, I have to face strong opponents eventually, including Yugi." Jonouchi said. "If you're my friend, trust me on this."
"I do trust you. I just don't want you to be reckless." Honda said.
"Honda, a Duelist have to take risks, if they play it safe, how else will they improve. And right now, my sister's eyesight is on the line. I have to risk everything to help her, because I'm her older brother." Jonouchi said.
"Okay, I'm sorry, Jonouchi. Go kick that guy's ass." Honda put out his fist.
"Right." Jonouchi returned the gesture and the two fist bumped.
"Hey, are you done yapping? Let's get started." Gen snapped his fingers and a Duel arena ascended behind him. Gen went to the red side while Jonouchi went to the blue side.
Jonouchi and Gen inserted their decks into the deck slot and it automatically shuffled their Deck. "Time to show you why I'm the best!" Gen shouted.
"Don't get cocky!" Jonouchi yelled back.
"Duel!" Jonouchi and Gen declared.

"I'm going first! Draw!" Jonouchi drew his card and looked at his hand. "Dimension Summon…I can already summon a High-Level monster but if it's destroyed in battle, I'll take more damage. I better hold off now."
"I set a monster in Defense Position!" Jonouchi set a monster. "Next, I set one card and end my turn!"

Gen LP: 8000, Hand: 5
"My turn! Draw!" Gen drew his card. "I Dimension Summon this monster!"
"A Dimension Summon already?!" Jonouchi's eyes widened.
"Appear! Barbarian #1 (ATK: 1550, LV: 5)!" Gen played the card on his field and he let out a battle roar as Barbarian #1 appeared at full power.
"Battle! Barbarian #1, attack the defending monster!" Barbarian #1 raise his club and struck it down on the defending monster which was a baby black dragon with red eyes.
"Alright! Red-Eyes Baby Dragon's effect activates! When this monster is destroyed in battle and sent to the Graveyard, I can Special Summon a Level 7 or lower Red-Eyes monster from my deck! Appear! Red-Eyes Black Meteor Dragon (ATK: 2000, LV: 6)!" Jonouchi summoned a new version of his Red-Eyes.
"Red-Eyes? Those cards are super rare!" Gen's eyes widened.
"Alright, Jonouchi, now it's time for a counterattack!" Honda cheered.
"Heh, now you'll take big damage when I attack next turn!" Jonouchi smiled.
"Is that so?" Gen questioned.
"What?" Jonouchi gasped.
"I admit the Red-Eyes archetype is powerful, but it's not unbeatable! From my hand, I activate Barbarian Child's Monster Effect!" Gen showed a card in his hand.
"When my opponent Special Summons a monster during my turn, by sending this card to the Graveyard!" Gen inserted the card into the Graveyard slot. "I can negate the opponent's monster's summon and destroy it!"
"What?!" Jonouchi gasped and his Red-Eyes Meteor Dragon was destroyed.
"Jonouchi's monster!" Honda panicked.
"Also, I can Special Summon a Barbarian Monster from my Deck! Appear! Barbarian #2 (1800, LV: 5)!" Gen summoned a green Barbarian.
"Due to their monsters' effects, both Barbarian #1 and #2 gain 500 Attack Points!" Gen smirked as his Barbarians gained power.
Barbarian #1 (ATK: 1550→2050)
Barbarian #2 (ATK: 1800→2300)
"Damn it…he made his monsters stronger." Jonouchi cursed.
"And lucky for me, it's still my Battle Phase! Barbarian #2! Direct Attack!" Barbarian #2 jumped towards Jonouchi and swung his club down, striking him and making Jonouchi grunt in pain.
Jonouchi LP: 8000→5700
"What? What is with this pain?" Jonouchi winced.
"Hey! Jonouchi!" Honda called out to his friend. "Are you okay?"
"I-I'm alright…" Jonouchi gave his friend a thumb up.
"Now you know that I wasn't all talk. I set one card and end my turn!" Gen finished his turn.

"My turn! Draw!" Jonouchi drew his card. He then felt light headed and put his hand on his head. "Damn, that attack…it felt so real…what the hell did Pegasus do at these arenas."
"What's wrong? Can't handle the pressure? In that case, I'll accept your surrender and your Star Chips." Gen smirked.
"Don't screw with me! I won't give up!" Jonouchi shouted. "I can't afford to lose…I don't want my sister to lose her sight."
"I Dimension Summon! Appear! Red-Eyes Black Dragon (ATK: 2400, LV: 7)!" Jonouchi played his ace card and let out a battle cry as Red-Eyes manifested on the field.
"Battle! Red-Eyes Black Dragon, attack Barbarian #1!" Red-Eyes charged up his attack.
"Useless! I activate the Trap Card: Howling! When a Barbarian Monster is targeted for an attack, I can return the attacking monster back to their owner's hand!" Gen shouted.
"What?!" Jonouchi gasped.
"No way!" Honda exclaimed.
The Trap Card forced Red-Eyes to return to Jonouchi's hand. "And, the opponent takes damage equal to the returned monster's Attack Points!" Gen pointed to Jonouchi. Jonouchi then felt a tremendous shock coursing throughout his body as he took the damage.
Jonouchi LP: 5700→3300
"This pain again…" Jonouchi almost collapsed.
"Jonouchi!" Honda shouted.
"Hahaha!" Gen laughed. "You're a total weakling! I can't believe the Red-Eyes archetype is wasted on a loser like you! You know, for the heck of it, I'll take your deck as well when I defeat you!"
"Bastard…" Jonouchi growled. "Don't underestimate the bond me and Red-Eyes share."
"Huh? Bond?" Gen questioned. "What is your dumbass talking about? It's just a stupid card."
"Red-Eyes is more than a card! It's my soul! And like me, it'll never give up! My turn is not over yet! From my hand, I activate the Quick-Play Magic: Quick Summon! This card allows me to Normal Summon once more from my hand! And in this case…"
"No, you can't!" Gen's eyes widened.
"I Dimension Summon Red-Eyes Black Dragon (ATK: 2400, LV: 7)!" Jonouchi roared once more and Red-Eyes appeared.
"Battle! Red-Eyes Black Dragon, attack Barbarian #1! Dark Flame Shot!" Red-Eyes unleashed his attack and destroyed Barbarian #1. Gen then screamed in pain as he took damage.

"Without Barbarian #1, Barbarian #2 loses Attack Points." Jonouchi smirked.
Barbarian #2 ATK: 2300→1800
"I set one card and end my turn!" Jonouchi set another card.
Jonouchi LP: 3300, Hand: 2
Gen LP: 6450, Hand: 3
"My turn! Draw!" Gen drew his card. "You're Red-Eyes is nothing special. Like every dragon, it's defeated by a powerful warrior! I activate the Equip Magic: Barbarian Blade!" Barbarian #2's club was replaced by a sword.
"This Equip Magic is specific for Barbarian monsters! They gain the strength of their fallen brethren! Barbarian #2 gains the Attack Points of Barbarian #1 in the Graveyard!" Barbarian #2 roared as he got angrier at the fall of his brother in arms.
Barbarian #2 (ATK: 1800→3350)
"3350 Attack Points?!" Honda's eyes widened. "It's way stronger than Red-Eyes!"
"Die, Red-Eyes! Barbarian #2, attack Red-Eyes Black Dragon! Revenge Blade!" Barbarian #2 two charged in to decapitate the dragon.
"I activate my Continuous Trap: Monster Box!" Jonouchi played his set card. "When my opponent declares an attack, a coin is tossed. If I call it right, your monster's Attack Points is reduced to 0!"
"Tch, you're leaving it to chance?!" Gen got upset.
A virtual coin appeared in middle of the field and it was tossed in the air. "I call…Heads!" The coin landed on the field face up. "Yes!"
"Gimme a break?!" Gen exclaimed. Barbarian #2 then lost all of his Attack Points.
Barbarian #2 (ATK: 3350→0)
"Counterattack, Red-Eyes! Dark Flame Shot!" Red-Eyes unleashed its attack and destroyed Barbarian #2 and Gen screamed once more in pain.
Gen LP: 6450→4050
"Damn you…" Gen cursed and he looked at his hand. "I end my turn…" Gen gritted his teeth as he didn't have any cards to help him.
Jonouchi LP: 3300, Hand: 2
Gen LP: 4050, Hand: 3
"Alright, Jonouchi, now's your big chance!" Honda shouted.
"My turn! Draw!" Jonouchi drew his card. "During my Standby Phase, I have to pay 500 Life Points to keep Monster Box in play!" Jonouchi grunted a little.
Jonouchi LP: 3300→2800
Battle! Red-Eyes Black Dragon! Direct Attack!" Red-Eyes unleashed his attack and Gen screamed in pain again.
Gen LP: 4050→1650
"I set one card and end my turn!" Jonouchi set another card. "How do you like that?! The bond that Red-Eyes and I share is more powerful than your Barbarians!"
Jonouchi LP: 2800, Hand: 2
Gen LP: 1650, Hand: 3
"Why you…" Gen growled. "My turn! Draw!" Gen drew his card. "Heh, it's finally here. Now it's time to shut you up for good!"
"What?" Jonouchi asked.
"Don't fall for it, Jonouchi! It's clearly a bluff!" Honda shouted.
"Oh, it's not bluff! Here I come! First, I'll get rid of your pesky backrow! I activate the Magic Card: Heavy Storm! This card destroys all Magic and Trap Cards on the field!" A storm destroyed all of Jonouchi's Magic and Trap Cards.
"Now I Dimension Summon my strongest monster! Appear! Barbarian King (ATK: 3000, LV: 8)!" Gen roared as he summoned the king of all Barbarians.
"Battle! Barbarian King, attack Red-Eyes Black Dragon!" Barbarian King charged and struck down Red-Eyes and Jonouchi screamed in pain.
Jonouchi LP: 2800→400
"Jonouchi!" Honda shouted.
"It's not over…From my hand, I activate Red-Eyes Tracer Dragon's effect! If a Level 7 or lower Red-Eyes monster is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, I can Special Summon this card in Defense Position and Special Summon all the monsters that were destroyed this turn! Appear! Red-Eyes Tracer Dragon (DEF: 1600, LV: 4)! And revive, Red-Eyes Black Dragon (ATK: 2400, LV: 7)!"
"Tch…you're still a lucky bastard. If I had Advance Summoned Barbarian King, I would've attacked Red-Eyes again and win. But that doesn't mean that my victory isn't assured. I set one card and as assurance activate the Continuous Magic: The Dark Door! As long as this card is on the field, both players can only attack with one monster during their Battle Phase. I end my turn!"
Jonouchi LP: 400, Hand: 1
Gen LP: 1650, Hand: 0
"Now go ahead and take your last turn!" Gen smirked.
"Come on, Jonouchi! You still have a chance!" Honda cheered.
"Heh, what chance? He won't defeat Barbarian King this turn!" Gen smiled. "That's because my set card is Barbarian Counter! The moment he tries to destroy Barbarian King with an attack or a card effect, this card not only protects Barbarian King from being destroyed, but the opponent takes damage equal to Barbarian King's Attack Points."
"It's obviously a trap, but I don't have a card right now that can counter it." Jonouchi looked at the only card in his hand. "My turn! Draw!" Jonouchi drew his card. "I activate the Magic Card: Pot of Greed! I draw two cards from my deck!" Jonouchi drew two new cards.
"Gen, looks like you were right. This is my last turn." Jonouchi closed his eyes.
"Glad to see we're finally on the same page. Just end your turn and I'll get this over with." Gen smiled.
"Oh, don't get me wrong, I didn't say that you were gonna get another turn." Jonouchi smiled.
"Huh?" Gen questioned.
"I was able to get the card that would secure my victory. I activate the Magic Card: Black Flame Blast!" Jonouchi played the card.
"What?! A card with the same name as a monster's attack?!" Gen's eyes widened.
"There are only a few of these cards around and Red-Eyes is especially powerful. This card allows me to inflict damage to the opponent equal to Red-Eyes Attack Points in exchange for him not attacking!"
"Shit! My cards don't work against direct damage!" Gen panicked. "Wait, please, I'm sorry okay! Look I'm giving back the Star Chips!" Gen threw the Star Chips he stole back to the other players.
"Sorry pal, but sorry isn't gonna cut it! Go! Red-Eyes! Black Flame Blast!" Red-Eyes unleashed his attack on Gen and Gen screamed as he blown off of the arena and crashed into the ground.
Gen LP: 1650→0
Winner: Katsuya Jonouchi
"Alright! Nice Jonouchi!" Honda cheered.
Jonouchi went to the defeated Gen and raised his arm with his Duel Glove and took Gen's two Star Chips. "I'll be taking these off your hands."
"Fine…do what you want…" Gen prepared to get beaten.
"Oh, I'm not gonna hit you. That's not my style anymore." Jonouchi said.
"Oh, that's good…" Gen sighed in relief.
"But I can't speak for them. See ya." Jonouchi walked away as the Duelists that Gen beat before approached him, cracking their knuckles and glared at Gen with hate.
"W-Wait, can we talk about this?! I'm sorry! Please, have mercy!" Gen screamed in agony as he was beaten up by the other Duelists.
Yami Yugi vs Haga
"Dimension Summon! Demon's Summon (ATK: 2500, LV: 6)!" Yami Yugi summoned out his fiend.
"My moth!" Haga screamed.
"Demon Lightning!" Demon's Summon destroyed Great Moth and Haga was defeated.
"This isn't possible…" Haga cried.
"I can't believe the Champion was the first to lose his Star Chips in this tournament." Yami Yugi approached Haga. "As the rules, I'll take your Star Chips." Yami Yugi inserted Haga's chips into his Duel Glove.
"Oh, crap, we missed it." Yami Yugi turned to see Jonouchi and Honda.
"There you guys are!" Anzu said.
"Sorry, I was taking care of a bully." Jonouchi showed his additional Star Chips.
"So, you won a Duel as well, Jonouchi." Yami Yugi smiled.
"Of course, I'm fighting for what's important as well." Jonouchi said. "Now we both have 4 Star Chips."
"Right, 6 more and we will get into Pegasus's castle." Yami Yugi nodded.
In the distance, hiding behind trees, Yuka smiled. "I'm glad you won, Great Uncle Jonouchi."
"Alright, let's keep up the momentum!" Jonouchi shouted. As he was gonna walk ahead, he felt a sharp pain in his head.
"Jonouchi?!" Yami Yugi went to his friend.
"What's wrong?" Anzu asked.
"The Duel Festival sure took a lot out of us! So, let's eat until we are fully recharged!" Jonouchi saw himself in Burger World with a tray of food and sitting across a kid.
"Uncle did I do something wrong?" The kid asked.
"Hm? What do you mean? You did everything you could in those Duels. You can't win them all." Jonouchi heard himself speak.
"That's not what I meant. It's just…Dad was observing our Duels at You Show. I won mine and everyone was happy, even my opponent, but not him. I asked what I did wrong and he said that I already knew what it was. But I don't."
Jonouchi found himself back in Duelist Kingdom.
"Hey, you okay?" Honda asked.
"Y-Yeah, sorry. I think I'm just little tired." Jonouchi rubbed his eyes. "What the heck was that? That kid…why did I feel so attached to him."

Preview: Asuka finally arrives at Duel Academia and is eager to search for her missing brother. However, due to her performance at her Entrance Exam, she is forbidden from living in the Obelisk Blue Girls' Dormitory and is forced to bunk with Osiris Red. She then witnesses the mistreated of the Osiris Red Students and decides to take a stand for them against Obelisk Blue.
