Hey babes! Back with another prompt fill for DoctorRose Bingo! The prompt on this one was: forbidden relationship. It's left mostly up to the imagination as to exactly why their love is forbidden, but the important thing is that it's a forbidden relationship.

Enjoy!

She shouldn't be doing this, she knows that. She's been told time and time again that nothing good will ever come from it. But she can't help herself. The heart wants what it wants, as people say. And her heart wants him.

Even with the small voices in the back of her head telling her this is wrong, that she should find somebody who's at her station, she keeps ignoring them.

The heart wants what it wants.

And her heart desperately wants the man who consumes her every thought. His body wrapped around hers like she'll float away if he lets go for even a moment, moving purposefully against hers, his lips leaving a trail of hot kisses along every patch of skin he can reach. It sets her body on fire, in the very best way possible.

But then that voice is back, telling her that this is wrong and she needs to stop. That she'll be ruining everything by continuing to involve herself with him.

Resting a hand on John's chest, she reluctantly pushes him back, breathing heavily. "We've really got to stop this."

"You mean just for right now, yeah?" John questions. "Because I don't think I can ever stop myself from wanting you, Rose Tyler." He smiles cheekily and then dives back in, attacking the skin of her neck with his lips.

The sensation drives her mad and for a moment she forgets every other thought that's been running through her mind.

But then that voice creeps back in, telling her this is wrong and it's just going to cause more harm than good.

So she pushes him away again, no matter how badly she wants to just pull him closer and shut out the rest of the world for a little while longer.

John sighs as he pulls away. "Alright, I can take a hint." He steps back and readjusts his clothing. "When do I get to see you again?"

"Not for a while. I think it's best if we keep our distance right now. People are already getting suspicious."

"Let them stay suspicious."

"John…"

He steps closer, resting his hands on her upper arms and rubbing slightly. "Listen to me. I love you, Rose Tyler. I don't care about these damn invisible lines in the sand that were drawn by our families decades ago. I want to be with you, and I know you want to be with me too."

"I do…I want to be with you."

"So then run away with me. Let's leave all of this behind and just get away, go somewhere they can't find us, and live our lives."

"I want that so bad," Rose admits. "But…my mum, and Tony…how can I leave them?"

His hands slide down to grab hers, squeezing gently. "By simply walking away. Look, I'm not going to force you, but if you want to be with me, and you want to get away from all of this, then meet me on Saturday at the motel just on the edge of the city. Well stay there for the night and then leave first thing in the morning."

"Where are we gonna go?"

"Anywhere. You pick. Find a map, a globe, anything, and pick a place. We'll figure out how to get there, wherever it is."

"You're sure?"

A smile grows on his lips. "I've never been more sure of anything."

"Um…okay, then. Yeah." She smiles. "Let's do it. Let's get out of here."

His smile brightens. "Oh, Rose Tyler, you've just made my day. My week, my year, my whole life!" He leans in and kisses her deeply, then pulls away to rest his forehead against hers. "I promise you will not regret this. We're gonna build a great life, you and I. Away from all of this rubbish and everyone that's been trying to keep us apart."

"I know. I believe you."

"Good. And don't pack too much, alright? Just the essentials. We'll get whatever else we need on the way or when we get where we're going." He's quiet for a moment, his smile faltering. "You're sure you want to do this? Run away?"

"Yeah. I want to be with you. We can't do that here."

"Okay. I'll see you on Saturday, then." He presses another, lighter, kiss to her lips. "I love you, Rose Tyler."

"And I love you, John Noble. Now go, before someone sees us together."

"They never have before."

"And we don't want them to start now."

He sighs. "You're right. I'm going." He starts to back away, his hands staying entwined with hers until it's no longer possible. "See you soon. Then we start the rest of our lives together."

"Can't wait."

Rose watches him go, his figure fading into the darkness surrounding the nearly run-down street corner they had managed to find themselves on. It's easier to meet up at night, in the seedier parts of town they know neither of their families will dare to step foot in. It sucks, sort of, to say that, but it's the truth.

Once she's determined the coast is clear enough, Rose makes her way through the darkened streets back toward her mansion. Well, it's not hers, exactly, though she suspects it could be left to her in her parents' will. She's not even sure if she wants it, they can give it to her baby brother for all she cares. All she wants is to be with John, the absolute love of her life.

And soon enough she will be, in a place where no one knows them and they can simply be together without their families constantly in their ears trying to craft their lives into this thing or that. It's going to be fantastic.

Saturday comes around quicker than expected, and Rose is panicking. She's not second-guessing, absolutely not, because she loves John and she wants to be with him for the rest of her life. But some kind of a threat comes in and so naturally security gets heightened throughout the entire house, which means Rose has no idea when she'll be able to get away.

And she just wants to go. She has a bag packed and shoved to the back of her closet, and Shareen promised to be her alibi for the next couple of days while she and John are putting as much distance between themselves and this life as they possibly can. But now that plan is going up in flames. And Rose has no idea what she's going to do.

And unfortunately, John isn't answering his phone. Which just leaves a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach. One that's hard to ignore.

It sits with her all night as she waits for answers about what exactly is happening. She also keeps calling John but he still doesn't answer and it just makes the pit in her stomach grow bigger and bigger.

And as the hours drag on, her worry for him just gets worse and worse. She doesn't know what to do, doesn't know who she can actually talk to about what's going on. She doesn't even know what's really going on, and she's not sure anyone would tell her, everyone always wants to keep her protected. And it's absolutely maddening.

A quiet knock at the outer door of her room pulls her attention away from her phone.

Hesitating, she moves toward the door and pulls back the sheer curtain to look through the window. She gasps at the face on the other side, immediately stepping back and pulling it open.

"Rose, thank goodness."

"Donna? What…what are you doing here? What if someone sees you? How did you even get past the bodyguards?" she asks, peering past the redhead into the darkness but finding nothing that would clue her into how the woman made it to her door.

Donna shakes her head. "None of that matters right now. I needed to talk to you."

"Okay. Well, have you heard from John at all? He's not been answering my calls and I need to talk to him."

"That's what I came to tell you." Donna's face falls. "He's in the hospital."

Rose's breath catches in her throat. "What? Why? What happened?"

"He was attacked. No one knows who did it, but obviously our family thinks it was one of yours."

"How could it be? You're the only one who knows we're even together."

Donna nods. "I know. But that's what mine believes, no matter what I try and say. I thought you should know, though. Just in case."

"Thank you, Donna. I know you've risked a lot to come here and tell me and I really—"

"Save it, Blondie," Donna cuts her off, though there's no malice behind her words. "I don't care who my brother sees, so long as they treat him well. Every time he comes back from seeing you he's annoyingly giddy. You make him happy and that's all that matters. Or, well, it's all that should matter."

"If only everyone else thought that way too."

Donna sighs. "This feud has been going on for much too long in my opinion."

"Believe me, I know. John and I can hardly go out in public anywhere together without risking being caught and something terrible happening to one or both of us. I hate that we're living like this. And now I'm not even gonna be able to see him while he's injured."

Donna just smiles. "You sure about that?"

Waiting semi-patiently in the, thankfully, empty stairwell, Rose glances at the screen of her phone periodically, waiting for the right message to come through. She prays that this will work, that they won't get caught, because she desperately needs this to work. She needs to see him, needs to speak to him.

As she goes to check her phone for what feels like the hundredth time, the screen lights up with a new message from Donna. She quickly sends back a reply and then slips the phone back into her pocket.

Taking a deep breath, she pushes off the wall and opens the door as quietly as she can, hoping to not attract any unwanted attention. She peers out and, when the coast is clear, steps through and makes her way down the hall toward John's recovery room.

Donna is standing outside the door waiting for her, glancing periodically down the hallway with one hand resting on the doorknob.

"Donna."

The redhead turns toward her and smiles. "Rose, thank goodness. I was able to convince Mum and Dad's goons to let me stand guard for a bit, but we don't have much time. Try to keep it quick in there, yeah?"

"I will. Thank you, Donna. So much."

"No need to thank me, just get in there."

Rose nods silently and pushes the door open to step into the room. Her breath catches at the sight of the man she loves lying nearly motionless, various tubes and wires attached to his body from multiple machines at the head of the bed.

She hesitates for just a moment and then slowly moves closer. "John?" she speaks up in an almost whisper, not wanting to wake him if he's asleep. "John."

He stirs, a quiet moan coming from him as his head turns. Then his eyes open and he looks right at her. "Rose…"

She hurries closer to the bed and sits on the edge, grabbing his hand and holding it in both of hers. "Hi." Her vision starts to blur and she blinks the tears away, even though she knows it won't last. "How are you feeling?"

He takes a deep breath, then winces. "Fine."

"Please don't lie."

"Rose, I promise you I'm fine. Or, I will be. You weren't too worried when you couldn't get a hold of me, were you?"

She shakes her head. "Don't be daft, of course I was. Thank goodness for your sister or I might not have known until much later. Or at all."

John nods slowly. "She's always wanted you and me to be able to be together. She's a good woman." He's quiet for a moment. "I just hate that she's put herself into the middle of this."

"You've been beaten up, John, of course she's put herself in the middle. She's your sister and she loves you. She doesn't want to see you like this. And neither do I."

He sighs. "I know. And I'm sorry."

"You have absolutely nothing to be sorry for."

"I didn't see who attacked me."

"That doesn't matter right now. Focusing on getting better and recovering is what matters. We'll figure out the rest later."

His hand barely squeezes her. "Do…do you still want to leave? Once I'm healed up enough?"

"Course I do. Do you still want to leave?"

"Yes. More than anything."

Rose nods once. "Then that's what we'll do. Once you're in a good enough position, we'll get out of here. We'll get far away where they can't find us, and we can finally be together. Properly."

He smiles. "Rose Tyler, I love the sound of that."

"Me too."

There's a quiet knock at the door.

Rose glances over her shoulder at the still-closed door and then back to John. "I have to go now, but Donna promised to keep me updated with your condition. I'm sure she'll help us when we're ready to leave too."

"I know she will. Now go, before someone else catches you here. We'll be together soon, I promise."

"I'm holding you to that. Don't let me down."

"Wouldn't dream of it."

Leaning down, Rose presses a kiss to John's lips, not wanting to let go of him for another moment. But she knows she has to. If they want a chance to be together, she knows she needs to let him go. Just for now.

"I love you," she whispers as she pulls away, his eyes already closing. She squeezes his hand gently and then reluctantly lets it go, moving toward the door. She wipes at her eyes as she steps out, pulling the door closed tightly behind her.

"You gonna be alright?"

Rose looks up at Donna and tries her best for a smile. "I will be. John uh, he said that when he's well enough, he and I are gonna leave. Would you…do you think you could help us with that? When the time comes?"

Donna sighs. "As much as I'd hate to potentially never see him again, yes, I'll help you. You both deserve to be happy. Now you should get going before the goons come back. I'll talk to you when they've got news about his progress."

Rose nods. "Thank you, Donna. So much."

"No need to thank me, sweetheart. Now really, get going."

"Right, yeah." Rose flashes her a quick smile and then turns to hurry back toward the stairwell she'd come in through. She needs to get home before someone notices she's gone and assumes the worst.

She can handle it, though, she can handle whatever might be dished her way. It won't be any worse than what her boyfriend is currently going through, what he might still have to endure.

She can hold on long enough, long enough for him to get well enough to leave. And then they can run away together, far away from the judgment of their families. They can find a place where they can be together and happy, a place that's just theirs. And theirs alone.

So? What did you think? Let me know in a review down below. I'd to hear your thoughts.
