Monster was looking over the lesson plan he had chosen for that day's history class with Class 1-1
"now let's see what it is" he said before he looked it up on the computer "oh no" he fretted, wondering what kind of reaction this would get
"Hey Hamish, you okay?" Rouge asked concerned for her friend and fellow teacher
"No, no I am not" Monster said removing his smaller spectacles off his face and sighed as he looked at Rouge, a hint of nervousness and sorrow in his eyes "Today's history lesson is not one I am looking forward to give, but I must due to its nature and how significant it was" he said
"What could be so bad, I mean I'm giving the 1-2 class a lesson on side jobs they can do as a hero, and lingerie model is not on I would suggest
"I certainly hope not, but you did sell quite a bit for them" Monster smiled "Anyway, I'm doing a lesson based on that" he said
"No" Rouge gasped.
"So, what's today's lesson?" Zack asked as he leant back in his chair at his desk, before Angie gently put it down
"Who knows, but it should be interesting we have Mr Long for History" Matilda said
"Boring" Wyatt groaned
"Oh hush up you" Cathy glared at him
"Either way it could be interesting, like the Murwillumbah Hostage crisis" Mack said
"As long as we don't revisit Infernocus" Wyatt frowned
"None of them, I mean they're dead right?" Jack asked worried
"No clue mate" Bruce shrugged.
"The forces of nature distilled into quirks and they choose to be villains" Kylie spat
"Indeed" Tim frowned
"oh, I know what about the Bathurst Bush Bash, you know when the plant life came alive and attacked the car race held there?" Crash guessed
"What about something near the beach?" Indy asked
"Now now you'll all find out now so take your seats please" Monster said as he walked into the classroom. "And what we're learning about is the Port Macquarie Riots" he said
"Really sir?" Oscar asked, Angie looked toward Mack who was gripping his fist
"We do" Monster said as he set up his laptop. "Now can anyone tell me the recent history of Port Macquarie?"
"Port Macquarie is a river based town, where half the overall population is in fact quirkless" Angie said
"Correct" Mr Long nodded "Anything else?"
"There was no division of Quirks" Zack said "Everyone treated each other the same, regardless if they had quirks or not"
"Correct, it was the only area in Australia to have a Zero Quirk Separation" Mr Long smiled
"Then it suddenly changed" Wyatt said
"Correct" Mr Long nodded "Then what happened on the 17th of January 20 years go?" he asked
"The Port Macquarie Riots sir" Mack said
"Yes, and does anyone know what started these riots?" Mr Long asked
"No one does, there are theories that is was a villain's quirk, others say it was just something that was being built up by the tourists coming in and mistreating them" Paul said
"Of course, but a major factor in it was...an attack on a child" Mr Long said "It was by a group of thugs who had quirks. They were rowdy and regularly attacking the populace. Suddenly they attacked a quirkless child, putting it up on the internet for those who mistreated quirkless people could enjoy it, this was seen by various quirkless people and they had enough. They got together and attacked these thugs" Mr Long said.
"How long did they last?" Kat asked
"Half a week" Mr Long said, "but now I have a special guest; someone who was on the ground" he said making the class excited. "Now can you hear us"
"I can, hello kids I'm Clinton Queen" Clinton smiled as he came onto a video screen "now I understand you are learning about the Port Macquarie riots?"
"They are" Mr Long said
"Well then" Clinton nodded "Shall we start on a tale?" he asked.
FLASHBACK
Bowman panted as he ran towards the loud noise
"This is Bowman, can someone tell me what the is GOING ON OVERE THERE!" he shouted as he dodged a flaming glass bottle.
"It looks like a mass of the quirkless population is rioting" the person on the radio said
"What, but I thought there was any separation, could this be a quirk?" Bowman asked
"I'm not sure, I haven't seen any signs of quirk usage" the radio speaker replied. Bowman got there and was shock what he saw. There was damage everywhere. Windows were smashed on various cars and building, crowds were holding makeshift weapons and were just attacking anything
"All these people are quirkless?" Bowman asked shocked retracting his bow into his arm and went over to a woman bashing a post box in "Hey HEY!" he shouted "What is happening?"
"You didn't hear some quirked Assholes attacked quirkless kids"
"Then why all this destruction?" Bowman asked before dodging a bike "This was a peaceful place for people without quirks, why now" he asked
"BOWMAN!" a voice shouted as he saw Knight jumping over a burning car and pulled him into a backstreet
"What is happening?" Bowman asked
"The town's gone nuts, the quirkless population has started to riot!" Knight exclaimed
"It may have to do a gang of quirk users attacking some kids" Bowman replied as he looked around
"That wouldn't have caused a riot this big, They're even planning on deploying" Knight said before heavy metallic footfalls were heard "Damn it!"
CLASSROOM
"They sent in the Blue suits?" jack asked shocked
"They did" Clinton nodded
"What are the blue suits?" Mel asked
"Specialise Hazard Armoured Response Division" Zack said
"They're basically specialised police using mech suits" Angie said
"Usually saved for the worst situations." Zack said
"And sadly riots is one of them" Mr Long said
"So what did you do?" Matilda asked making Clinton exhale.
FLASHBACK
Bowman and Knight were shocked to see the SHARD unit out, 9 foot mechanized suits with special anti-riot gear walked towards the main area. the two pro heroes could hear their anti-riot cannons being loaded.
"Attention, this the NSW Police! You are advised to disperse and returns homes peacefully, any other actions will be deemed as a threat and will be responded to in kind" one of them said over a loud speaker. The rioters saw them, shouting at them before throwing stones at the SHARD Police
"We have to do something" Knight said
"I agree" Bowman said pulling out a bunch of sleep arrows and aimed upwards
"Deploy tear gas" the SHARD Commander ordered as they all fired canisters of tear gas were fired
"STOP!" Knight shouted as he approached
"Sorry sir, I wasn't aware that a Pro was nearby" The SHARD commander said
"We don't need this, we don't need you to increase trouble" Bowman said as Knight turned to the crowd and walked over to them.
"HEY!" Knight shouted "CALM DOWN! We will help you out; with you help we can end this" Knight said
"Sir!" a SHARD Officer saluted to the commander "We just heard that Jeweller was beaten by some quirk folks" this shocked the two pro heroes. They turned to the officer
"Are you sure?" the commander asked
"Yes sir, we're sending over the medical detachment now, she seems to be in bad shape" the officer said
"No Mika" Bowman said running off
"CLINT!" Knight shouted as he turned back to the crowd that was near them, they too were in shock that one of the local heroes that they loved was down; more so by the fact it was doen by people like them
"NEW ORDERS CAME IN! ARREST ANY RIOTERS" the SHARD Commander said making Knight swear badly.
CLASSROOM-PRESENT
"Who the heck was Jeweller?" Billy asked
"Mika Bradman aka Jeweller, her quirk was elegem; depend on what gem she held gave her different elemental powers, fire for rubies, sapphires gave her water, Emeralds for nature, Diamonds for light. She was ranked 19th at the time, and I had a crush on her" Clinton said
"Did she?" Indy asked
"No, she didn't pass away but she's a retire hero now, like me and several others who served in that town" Clinton revealed
"You ever act on that crush?" Angie asked
"Yeah, I did" Clinton smiled
"So what happened?" they all asked
"That will be revealed later" Clinton said "now then."
FLASHBACK
"JEWELLER!" Bowman cried out "JEWELLER!" he shouted as he raced over were a woman wearing a gem like mask and a strapless bodysuit that had a stained glass look to it, he knelt down and gently picked her up and held her
"Excuse me sir" a SHARD Medic said as he looked over her
"Bowman!" Knight shouted as he ran over "We have a major prob" he froze "Medic her injuries!"
"Multiple fractures and contusions, internal bleeding, concussion, punctured lung, pierced intestine" the medic said shocking the two
"GOOD RIDDENCE!" a voice shouted, this made Bowman mad. He pulled out an arrow and turned to the riotous crowd, aiming at them, Knight put a hand on his sword. Looking closer he noticed that there was wrath in the eyes of Bowman
"Bowman, stand down now" Knight said.
"they did it" Bowman teared up, his arms shaking "They attacked her when she was probably trying to calm down"
"Easy man, calm down she's still okay and she'll get help" Knight said looking at the SHARD medic who nodded quickly and put her in a transport "She's leaving now, go with her"
"But" Bowman said
"Go With Her, she'll need a friend" Knight said
"Fine" Bowman said backing down "But I will be back for them" he threatened as he got in with her
"Clint?" Jeweller weakly as he held her hand
"I'm here Mika, I'm here" he said.
CLASSROOM
"And that was when I decided to retire" Clinton said.
"Damn dude" Zack said
"That's tough" Bruce sighed.
"So, you weren't there when the ground opened up outside that mall?" Kat asked curious making Mack freeze
"No, I wasn't; heck no one knew how that happened" Clinton said
"Indeed, it was a rare mystery but on the third day of these riots the ground suddenly opened up defending a mall where people had crowded into to try and take shelter. Of course the rioters had found them and were about to attack" Mr Long said "It was lucky that it did happen otherwise there were possibly more and more injured to look after, or even some more deaths." It was at this point Mack quickly got up and rushed out of the room.
"Mack?" Tim asked
"HEY MACK!" Zack shouted
"Wait here" Angie rushed off after him, the students looked confused and concerned, but their teacher and guest speech looked more concerned about it reaching the same conclusion.
"Breathe man, just breathe" Mack said "You're no longer there you're at school" he controlled his breathing to calm down.
"Hey Mack you okay?" a sweet voice asked making him turn to see a girl who looked like a fairy dressed in a green mid-rift top with a lattice design on it, a knee lenght skirt with black lace along the hems, shin length boots and matching gloves. Her rich verdant eyes etched with concern for the Geomancer.
"I'm Fine Fern" Mack said "Just history class"
"What could make you?" Fern asked
"The riots, we're learning about the riots. Which I take you don't need to; you were there" Angie said
"I was" Mack rubbed his arm "And it's the one point in my life I hate looking back on"
"Why?" Angie said
"Because I was nearly killed and I treat it like a nightmare!" Mack said "Especially when I was in that mall on the day I got my quirk."
"The chasm, that was you" Angie smiled "You were a hero on the day you got it"
"I don't feel like on since I trapped a whole heap of people in a mall while the town they peacefully lived in went to shit" Mack spat out "Some help I was" he said heading back to class.
"Oh, on the contrary Mr Digby you saved a lot of lives by your actions, even if they were triggered by emotions." Mr Long said as Mack and Angie returned to the classroom
"You think so?" Mack asked
"Indeed, as it turns out that there was something that you didn't know and was never released to the public, some rioters had been given strength enhancers" Clinton said
"That makes sense with what I saw" Mack said "A guy in a red mask with tusks on it."
"Inciter" Clinton frowned
"He's quirk does cause incites riots" Mr Long said
"So we now know what was the cause of this, I'll take it to the AHAB" Clinton said
"Very well" Mr Long said
"I'm sorry for disrupting the lesson' Mack said
"It's okay, we should have checked out files" Mr Long said
"So what happened next?"
FLASHBACK
Knight ran over to see a large chasm in front of a mall
"What the heck?" he asked as he looked around, there were rioters on the floor and a 5 meter chasm in the car park, anything on the side closet to the mall was totally fine "What caused this?" he asked as he examined the area. It must have been a quirk but who's it was he didn't know, but what he did know was that there was a tusked mask on the ground. Upon even seeing it Knight snarled as he picked it up "So you were here huh?" he asked as SHARD units arrived "ABOUT DAMN TIME WE NEED A 7 METER BRIDGE HERE!" he shouted.
"Yes sir!" the SHARD Units saluted before they got to work
"Sir there are heroes and civilians in the mall" one of them said shocking Knight
"Then get them out of there ASAP!" Knight said as the SHARD Medics hovered over the chasm and walked into the mall.
Inside the mall a young Mackenzie Digby was laying on his mother's lap, her hands holding his
"Mackenzie, Mackenzie!" she shouted as a SHARD medic walked over to her
"What is the problem ma'am?" the medic asked
"My son, he passed out" she said as the Medic scanned him
"Damn, your son's quirk picked a heck of the time to wake up" the medic said
"He did that?" Mack's mother asked shocked that her son had shown how powerful he was by saving them all
"Indeed, I'd say he'd make a top pro" the Medic said excitedly
"If he wants to I think he can as well" the mother smiled as she stroked his hair.
Knight was still waiting for the bridge to be finished
"Knight!" a journalist called as she came over to him "What is your take on this?"
"It is an unfortunate day and even in the history of his town" he grunted
"Do you think this will change anything in this town?" the journalist asked
"I hope not, things may be uncomfortable for awhile, but I'm confident that it will be back to normal" Knight concluded as the bridge was built "Excuse me" he said striding across the bridge, seeing the people in the mall being let out and looked after by the SHARD Medics "How are they?"
"Minor injuries, but one boy did pass out" one of them said.
"The reason?" Knight said before the medic pointed to the chasm as a second bridge was deployed "you're shitting me, a kid did that?" he asked
"Yes sir, and he just woke his quirk up today" the medic said
"Interesting" Knight said.
CLASSROOM
"I think we can all agree with Mr Long there man, you're a major hero" Tim said punching his mate's shoulder
"Thanks man" Mack said, smiling.
"Also you may have solved the mystery of how it all started, that riot quirk guy" Matilda said
"I guess I did" Mack smiled.
"Now, I suggest we leave this lesson and topic there for today, now I'll be giving a day off of homework; only because you're all probably be doing other assignments and need to de-stress after this lesson" Mr Long smiled as the bell rang making the students stand up and stretch before packing up and heading off to their next class "oh Mr Digby please stay back a bit" he said
"Yes Mr Long?" Mack cam up to him, his satchel hanging off his shoulder
"Now you should know I'm proud of how you handled this class, I mean you could have stormed out at anytime but you stick to it and when you did you came back and explained the situation of why you did that, I'm proud of you for telling your class mates" Mr Long said
"Thanks teach" Mack smiled before leaving the classroom.
Once Mr Long reached the staffroom he booted up a computer and logged into the AHAB system
"AHAB what's wrong Hamish?" Rouge asked
"I'm putting notification up" he said as he started to write it out, Rouge was shocked
"WANTED: Rioter aka Clement Dursel aka Inciter. Wanted for starting the Port Macquarie Riot!" Rouge read out "How can you be so sure?"
"Because one of our students was there that day and he saw what appeared to be Rioter there, and it would make sense" Monster growled
"Okay, so thing the AHAB is going to deal with Rioter?" Rouge asked
"I hope so, because if they don't I will ask Logan for some time off so I can" Monster growled
At the offices of AHAB Agent Wallaby saw what Monster had posted and spat out the mouthful of exotic coffee she was trying to drink. She looked at it and printed it out, placing it in a red envelop and rushed it to Director Ayers' office
"Sir" She hurriedly knocked
"What is it Agent Wallaby?" Ayers asked as he frowned lowering his glasses
"I think we caught a break in the Port Macquarie riot sir! It seems that someone started it" Wallaby said as she showed him the red envelop
"It can't be!" Ayers gasped.
"Yes sir" Wallaby said
Back at the Jackman Foundation of Heroics Mack was walking along the hallway when he saw his classmates had gathered together
"What's up?" Mack asked
"Them" Jack snarled as the 1-2 class stood in front of them
"Hey Mack you feeling better?" Fern asked
"I am, thanks" Mack smiled making Fern blush a bit "So what's up?"
"We were hoping for a CC" Fern said looking at Zack
"A CC?" Kat asked confused
"A Class Clash" Zack said "I have to admit we haven't done it before, and considering the lesson we just had we could use a way blow off some steam, right guys?"
"RIGHT!" Class 1-1 shouted
"Okay, Class 1-2, you ready?" Fern asked
"YEAH!" the class cheered
"May the best class win" the class leaders said shaking hands.
G'day Guys Grizz here, and yeah I made a chapter based on what was a small line about why Bowman is no longer a pro hero as a history lesson, and now another student has a bad background with Mack being caught up in it and seeing the cause which was a mystery until now, possibly because he never told them about it.
Now I brought up Infernocus again who is one of the Disaster Quartet, now I may not actually show them since they are inspired by the kind of natural disasters that can be in Australia that and the Elementals from Far From Home, I consider these guys to be stronger then All for One which is why I think they said that no villains would mess with them, so I think if I did bring them out it would be an Endgame situation
Before I sign off I want to say that I am already planning my next MHA project: Rise of the Amalgams! yeah I've been wanting to do a fic involved Marvel/DC fusions and I figured it was time to try it again and this time I'd figure I add in the guys from My Hero Academia, so look forward to that
