In a fortress that has been secluded upon the location of Death Valley, a battle has been taking place there...
Nemesis' Animated Breath, all of them having mopped the floor with the soldiers who were once guarding the fortress, are now battling against another force, which are the officers that were with Tomas de Torquemada...
The Animated Breaths are battling against the officers with all their might, helped by the fact that they outnumber them, 10 to 1...
However, the officers are proven to be incredibly troublesome as they are shown to be very capable of magical feats as one officer had casted a magic circle below him and rammed through every Dragonfire Golems, Warriors and Atronachs with ease and some more are flying above and conjuring ice shards and flinging them straight towards the Animated Breaths...
Meanwhile, the mercenary team are battling against the traitors with everything they got...
For Karl and Zer0, they are in a sword fight against one another as they clashed their tonfa blades and katana as they glared at each other beneath their expressionless mask..
"Unbelievable/You were never this fast/How is this possible?" Zer0 once again speak in haiku in disbelief at Karl.
"Oh, thank you for noticing..." Karl said before kicking Zer0 off of him as Zer0 look around, having not noticed why Karl isn't in front of him, "It is pretty much courtesy of the Lord Commander and his gift to me..." Zer0 heard Karl talked to him from behind as Zer0 is quick to slash him but Karl dodged it as he does a back flip, "The gift of perfection..." Karl suddenly disappear before appearing beside Zer0, "The gift to move beyond human comprehension."
Karl seemed to display this as a Dragonfire Golem tried to stab him from behind only to hit an afterimage as the Golem looks confused before it is beheaded off from its body, courtesy of Karl appearing from behind him while playfully twirling his tonfa blades.
Zer0 screen then shows a ':)' display as he said in haiku, "Impressive/Move in a speed of sound/But do you think it will beat me?" He said, not even the least bit intimidated by such a revelation.
"Oh, I assure you, Herr Zer0..." Karl then disappears again before appearing beside the enigmatic assassin, "I am more than capable..." Karl then appeared on his right side, "Of showing you..." Then Karl appeared in front of Zer0 and proceed to stab him in the chest, "That I am now superior than you." He boast at that only to tilt his head in confusion when he stabbed only air, revealing that he stabbed Zer0's holographic form as Karl quickly blocked a slash, courtesy of Zer0 appearing in front from his invisibility cloak as he clashed his katana with Karl's bladed tonfa.
"Superior?/Using cheats/Doubtful." Zer0 said as they both glare at each other some more with Zer0 giving a '' icon.
At another place of the battlefield, Yoko is busy taking cover beneath some boxes as she avoid open fire from Locus firing his sniper rifle while Felix provide cover using his energy shield.
"Make this easy for us and get your pretty face up here. We promise that we won't leave your pretty body too mangled..." Felix called out, making Locus look at him in disgust.
"Felix, what the fuck?" Locus called him out on that statement.
"Like hell I'm gonna let you traitors get ahead of me. And you, Locus..." Yoko gritted her teeth and said, "I never thought you would be worse."
This made Locus pause from firing as he weakly say, "...I..."
"His not a traitor. He's just a good soldier, willing to follow orders, no matter what. Ain't that right, partner?" Felix said to him as Locus, thought looking hesitant, nonetheless relented.
"As for you, Felix. I really expect nothing more from some low life creep. And honestly, you are so pathetic. Can't live without your partner babysitting you?" Yoko called out to him only for the shooting to stop as something just thrown in front of her.
Her eyes widened when she saw a live grenade in front of her as she quickly backed away while Felix look coldly and say, "Sayonara, bitch..." He said, preparing to see her blow up.
And it did, much to Felix's gleeful smile beneath his helmet and Locus looking down in regret at that.
Only for the dust to disperse, revealing that it is Samus who had hugged Yoko, protecting her from the explosion as Samus look at her and said, "You okay, Yoko?"
"Y-yeah... thanks, Samus..." Yoko said while nodding at her in thanks.
"Oh, that's bullshit. How the fuck is that even possible!?" Felix hysterically yelled out in anger but instead of a response, Samus just aimed his arm cannon and open fire upon the two, attempting to kill them only to be protected by the officers who flies down and projected a magical barrier as another appeared and summon a torrent of fireballs at the two girls.
"Shit, come on..." Samus ordered her as she lead Yoko away from being killed by a fireball.
Both Yoko and Samus watched as an army of flaming warriors are battling against magic users dressed in military officer uniforms while also seeing their team facing off their own battles like Mando having an aerial fight with Boba and Deadpool facing blade to blade with Taskmaster and his brother, Slade.
"This is crazy..." Yoko commented on the situation she is in.
"Meh, you'll get used to it. Not the first time I found myself in the battlefield..." Samus commented nonchalantly, avoiding a stray fire ball from a Dragonfire Atronach which hit one of the officers which he just shrugged off the damage and fire an ice spike at it.
"Where's Nemesis?" Yoko ask her, wanting to know about their newest teammate.
"Why? Worried about him?" Samus teased her, making Yoko.
"I-it's not like that..." Yoko denied, "I'm going to teach him a lesson for being such a jerk with what he did there..." She said, pouting.
"Yeah, he fooled me too. But right now-" Samus didn't need to answer as they heard a massive explosion, looking up to see Nemesis is fighting against Tomas in the sky as they battle against one another in an epic display of a showdown.
"Glad he's on our side..." Samus commented, watching the spectacle.
"Yeah..." Yoko said without denying, "So, what are we gonna do?"
"The only thing you two shall do is to submit to the new order of the Termight Empire..." Samus and Yoko scowl as they saw Radec dropping down and aiming his rifle at them, alongside the other officers who all float down and stand behind the Colonel as they display their magic, such as swirling wind, fist covered in fire or both arms covered in static electricity, "It is inevitable when you refused the Lord Commander's proposal."
"Go suck a dick, asshole..." Yoko insulted him, even flipping the bird at him for good measure.
"And you ain't gonna get away with this. When you turned traitor, you know the government will make you pay for everything you've done..." Samus said, aiming her arm cannon at the colonel.
"I do not betray. I am just being free. No more shall I no longer become a dog of the government, now I shall attain what I have been given as the mighty colonel of an Empire and thought it pains me that the Helghast Empire I knew is long gone, at the very least I shall serve a far greater cause for another..." Radec explained, watching the Lord Commander fight against the Warlock.
"You know, since you're a traitor, the bounty would be very expensive. So, from a certain bounty hunter that says..." Samus suggested as she continues to aim her arm cannon at Radec, "What is it gonna be? Hot or cold?"
"Once again, greed is the only thing a bounty hunter like you should only know..." Radec said in disgust before aiming his rifle at the two as the other officers ready their magic, "It's time for you to learn how greed can be your folly."
One of the officers sensed something and quickly run beside Radec as he summoned a magic barrier, protecting them from a torrent of fire coming on their way...
Samus and Yoko look in confusion before looking up to see the Nemesis' Mistresses of Flames jump down from above and stand in between Samus and Yoko against Radec and the officers where said officer dispersed his barrier before the other's regroup with Radec as they ready their magic...
"You're... You're the Mistresses of Flames... Ignis, Efreet and Phoenix, right? What are you guys doing here?" Yoko asked the three fire girls in front of her.
"It pains me to say this..." Ignis said in a sad tone, "But Nemesis ordered us to assist his team from the threats of his enemies and for as I wish that I would fight alongside our master, we shall not disobey his orders..." She said before taking a fighting stance with her hands and feet covered in flames.
"Besides, you all look like you're having trouble..." Efreet said with a grin, "So, why don't we make this hot, shall we?"
"To all who are traitors of Nemesis shall be payed for their dishonour..." Phoenix said in a calm yet furious tone, "They shall all die by the edge of my blade, as their death shall not be a gentle one." She said as she takes out her katana.
Samus and Yoko seemed to be touched by this before looking at each other and smiled as Samus, "Well, I'm confident that I can take on these jokers down but..." She then takes her stance and said, "Who am I to be ungrateful against someone willing to lend a helping hand."
"Yeah..." Yoko said in a tone of determination and said, "Let's show these boys how we girls got this." She said as she ready her rifle.
"You all shall be payed for your refusal..." Radec glared with the added intensity of his helmet alongside the officers, who all showed their magic in hand, "For the glory of the Termight Empire." He declared as they charge towards each other, jetpacks, magic, futuristic weaponry and guns in hand...
Meanwhile, up in the sky...
'God dammit. Of all the things that I would face in this new world, a fascist general with demonic magic is not what I am preparing for...' Nemesis complained before backing off to avoid Tomas' scythe slashing upon him, 'But who am I to complain. Cause this is pretty cool if the guy such a fucking asshole-' Nemesis' thought is interrupted when he blocked a punch from Tomas' demonic hand which is enlarged to become strong enough to punch Nemesis so hard that it made him fly off as the demonic arm return to its normal state as Tomas gives a stone cold glare at Nemesis, his scythe still in hand, that is...
"Is that the best you can do?" Nemesis taunted the Lord Commander, "I can pretty much do this all day..."
"How charming..." Tomas said in a deadpan tone, "Let's see how your arrogance get you this far..."
"Took those words right out from my mouth..." Nemesis said as he casted, "Torrential Fire Ball." which resulted in a magic circle appeared in front of him and shoots volleys after volleys of fire balls straight at Tomas.
Tomas then calmly lift his demonic hand up and casted, "Demon Argent Shield." as a red energy shield with demonic encryptions appears upon his palm which is large enough to protect him from the fire balls as they hit like flies trying and failing to pierce through the glass wall...
As the volley stopped, Tomas was about to dispersed his shield only for a spear to stabbed said shield, piercing almost through it...
This made Tomas look shocked but can only give a chuckle and say, "It is laughable that such a desperate attempt is also the most entertaining-" He is interrupted when the spear exploded, pushing Tomas off as he spins around before halting himself in midair, shaking his head as he glared at Nemesis who calmly look down at him with a smug look beneath his helmet.
"Hah, and people call me cocky..." Nemesis commented, his spear appearing in hand, alongside his blade and his Tome still floating beside him.
Tomas growled before he flies straight towards Nemesis as they clashed their respective weapons towards each other, glaring at each other as sparks fly from the clash...
Tomas wielded his scythe with two hands as he pushed Nemesis off before giving a twirl as he ready himself to swing it at Nemesis, swinging his weapon at Nemesis as they clash in blur of their weaponry against each other...
Tomas goes all out as he swing his scythe hard against Nemesis as the Warlock blocked it, resulting in sparks flying...
Nemesis doesn't give a halt as his Tome flipped it's pages as a magic circle, firing a torrent of fire balls at Tomas but the Lord Commander just twirl his scythe around, slashing the many fireballs like a blender before stopping and flying straight towards Nemesis...
Nemesis then attempted to fly off into the sky as Tomas gives chase, flying around like jet fighters in a dogfight in the sky as Tomas keep casting, "Demon Argent Blast." as a magic circle appeared and fire a beam of demonic energy at Nemesis who quickly dodged out of the way to avoid the beam straight to the sky.
Nemesis' Tome turned around and fire its fire balls at Tomas where the Lord Commander either dodges it or slash it with some even making a hit at Tomas yet Torquemada remains lightly affected and still remained determined and persistent...
In the clouds, Nemesis hides in it as Tomas look around, trying to find where Nemesis is over all the clouds he is surrounded by...
He heard a faint cast, "Flame Beam." and a beam of fire appeared through the clouds, attempting to hit Tomas but the Lord Commander is quick to raise his demonic hand up, blocking the beam yet feeling the heat as Tomas quickly casted, "Demon Argent Shield." and his demonic shield appeared, stopping the beam.
Suddenly, Tomas heard a bird call and looked to see to the side being a Dragonfire Eagle flying towards him and rammed into him, exploding him on impact.
Tomas shakes the explosion off, still not releasing his shield off until he saw another Dragonfire Eagle and charge straight towards him, also exploding...
Tomas growled in annoyance as he dispersed both his shield and the fire beam before he then cast his magic and fire his demonic beam to the surrounding Eagles upon him...
Only to turn around to see two Fire Wyrms chomping their jaws upon Tomas' shoulders, making him grunt in pain before Nemesis came along and cast, "Flame Wyrm." and shoots out a giant serpentine fire dragon at Tomas as it's large jaws chomped upon the Lord Commander.
Nemesis watched as Torquemada is being engulfed in flames and with the Fire Wyrms biting him, Nemesis can feel his energy and vitality are recovering, albeit still slowly at that...
Then, as his Flame Wyrm continue to coil Tomas in it's flaming underbelly, more demonic symbols appearing all over the Flame Wyrm, much to his confusion before finally, an explosion of demonic energy occurs, courtesy of Tomas with his enlarged demonic arm appearing as he glared at Nemesis in absolute fury beneath his officer's hat and lower mask...
"That's... That's the best you can do? I can do this all day..." Nemesis taunted him.
"That maybe true, Nemesis the Warlock..." Tomas said before a magic circle appeared beside him as he plunged his demonic arm into it, "Unfortunately, I don't have the time for your nonsense."
Suddenly, dozens upon dozens of magic circles appeared around Nemesis and before he could think about what Tomas is doing, he hastily avoids a large demonic arm appearing that almost caught him in its grasp.
Then he avoids another arm thrusting to him, and another and another as now, Nemesis is trying to fly away dozens upon dozens of arms that are all coming from the magic circles as they either try to catch him, punch him, a combination of both as Nemesis flies out as the arms are chasing him up.
Nemesis look at the many arms that are coming towards him with Nemesis intending to cast, "Dragonfire Roar." and shoots out a roar of flames from where his mouth beneath his helmet is as he intend to burn those arms that are chasing him.
Then he suddenly got hit by Tomas who flies in blinding speed and got slashed by his scythe and while it is unfortunate, he is thankful that his armour protects him from the brunt of it.
Then, Nemesis tried to block another scythe attack from Tomas as Nemesis quickly takes out his blade and clashed it with Tomas' scythe, clashing each other that their sparks fly as Nemesis swing his blade at him as Tomas gives it his all.
Tomas then raised his scythe up and with his demonic arm holding it, the scythe's blade started to glow in demonic energy as he swing it down upon Nemesis, intending on killing him for good.
Instead, Nemesis then casted, "Dragonfire Claw Attack." as his right arm is in enshrouded in a flaming clawed arm and attempted to claw against the attack.
The resulting clash results in an explosion of epic proportion that it makes those below look up at what just happened, seemingly pausing their fight as they saw the spectacle.
"Holy shit... Can't believe this guy is just a rookie..." Mando said, can't help but feeling awed at the sight.
"Impressive. How unfortunate that he does not accept such a valued honour of such an interesting proposal..." Slade said in awe and then in disappointment.
"Yeah, well, what do you expect? He's the author's self-insert. As if he would be some dumb and weak pansy like those 'male reader' stories he hates... I mean, really? What's the point of making it your name if it doesn't line with your personality..." Deadpool commented, looking at the sight.
"Why are you like this?" Taskmaster couldn't help but comment on Deadpool's eccentricities.
Phoenix had been stabbing an officer in the gut before kicking him off from her blade, looking up in stoicism alongside her fellow Mistresses of Flame, especially Yoko, Samus and Radec.
"Master..." Ignis said in worry.
"Well, would you look at that..." Samus looked at Radec and said, "Still think we're making a big mistake?" She said smugly.
"Yes..." Radec bluntly responded.
Suddenly, something just crashed from the sky, much to everyone's shock as dust are blown out, leaving everyone unable to see what is on the other side.
Samus watched in worry before feeling a metal clang, looking at the signature red helmet of Nemesis as she picks it up, feeling worried about him.
As the dust finally settles, they all look to see Nemesis lying down, now without a helmet as it reveals to everyone the true identity of their newest member in the Mercenary Guild.
"That's Nemesis?" Samus said, looking shock at how young he is.
"He looks... kind of cute..." Yoko said, noting how much of a pretty boy Nemesis is revealed to be.
"Well, would you look at that? The author's main character is a freaking femboy. Don't know if that is his kink now." Deadpool commented on Nemesis' pretty boy appearance.
Then, Tomas appeared, slamming his foot to the ground in a deafening force of an explosion and everyone can see that his demonic arm is now mangled with bits of bones and blood vessels leaking from said demonic arm yet despite how mangled it is, Tomas doesn't seemed to be the least bit perturbed.
Instead, he just look at his demonic arm in annoyance before tapping his scythe onto the ground, resulting in one of the officers appearing beside him and giving a salute before he then stand without any signs of hesitation, whatsoever.
"May your sacrifice shall not all be for nothing..." Tomas said coldly before plunging his demonic arm into the officer on his chest, much to everyone's shock, with the exception of Radec and Karl, who reacts like it is nothing unusual and Slade who look in keen interest, as they watched the officer is slowly getting disintegrated until finally, there is nothing but charred bones and Tomas' demonic arm now looking all healed up.
Well, as healed up as a grotesque demon arm can show.
As he look upon his demonic arm, getting a feel of it's movement, Tomas then looked at the downed Nemesis before he then appeared in front of Nemesis and grabbed the Warlock in the neck, much to the shock of the team's horror.
Then, Tomas appeared, slamming his foot to the ground in a deafening force of an explosion and everyone can see that his demonic arm is now mangled with bits of bones and blood vessels leaking from said demonic arm yet despite how mangled it is, Tomas doesn't seemed to be the least bit perturbed.
Instead, he just look at his demonic arm in annoyance before tapping his scythe onto the ground, resulting in one of the officers appearing beside him and giving a salute before he then stand without any signs of hesitation, whatsoever.
They were about to charge ahead and saved him but they were intercepted by the officers who casted their magic of frost and making them backed away from the cold damage, only giving a defiant glare against them.
"It has been an amusing event since you've come and almost ruin my plan. But this ends now..." Tomas promised as his demonic arm started to show magic circles over it, "You have been a thorn to my side for the last minute and such a thorn shall know that it outlived his place. Goodbye, Nemesis the Warlock. May whatever you thought of finding yourself in this mission, know that it doesn't meet with whatever reality you know."
But just as Tomas is about to vaporize him, he felt pain as he was shot in the head, releasing Nemesis from his grasp.
Tomas, thought getting his head shot, can only groan in pain as he wiped the blood of his face, not even killed as he looked at who just shot him.
It is none other than Yoko, who aimed her rifle at him as she glared at him before shooting the Lord Commander, pushing him back some more as the damage dealt upon him, thought unable to kill him, nonetheless pushed him back.
"You, bitch..." Felix said in a seething anger, "Locus..."
"No need to tell me twice." Locus remarked back, aiming her rifle at Yoko's head only for one of the Dragonfire Eagles and fly upon the two mercenaries, interrupting them as they are blown off.
Slade and Taskmaster were then pushed back as they are being assaulted by the Dragonfire Warriors as all of them swing their fire made weapons at them with Taskmaster finding out the hard way that trying to block their strikes with his sword can only met with said sword being melted off.
"Oh, yeah..." Deadpool said in glee, "Who knew my new friends are hot and bothered, huh?"
Karl is then backed away as a burst of flames came from a pair of Dragonfire Atronachs, even burning his coat off as Karl tried to ripped it off to stop himself from burning.
Zer0 looked at the Atronachs and all he can give are a thumbs up and a ':)' on his mask.
"You dare!?" Radec said in anger as he attempted to aim his rifle at Yoko only to be bitch slapped by Samus who slapped him so hard that he flies with the rest of those who retreated.
And Boba as well, courtesy of his jetpack malfunctioning for some reason.
As Yoko continues to shoot her rifle at Tomas, the Lord Commander gives an angered growl and a magic circle appeared in front of him as he casted, "Demon Argent Blast." as a beam of demonic energy appeared and coming straight towards Yoko.
"YOKO!" Samus can only yell as she watched her friend is about to be disintegrated by a demonic fascists and she can only gasp in horror as she her sniper rifle is thrown off, mangled and charred from it all.
Only to see below to look at Yoko is actually lying down, having survived being shot by Tomas and as for Nemesis...
Well, Samus couldn't help but think of a more uncompromising position like what Nemesis is doing...
Yoko can only groan as she felt something heavy on her chest, revealing that it is Nemesis who's face is submerged into her cleavage...
Nemesis can only give a muffled sound as he tried to push himself off from Yoko until finally, he is finally free, gasping for breath as he looked at Yoko, locking eyes at each other until finally, Nemesis gives a chuckle and say, "Uh... Your welcome?"
This made Yoko blush before gritting her teeth and pushed Nemesis off of her, glaring at her as she yelled, "HOW LONG DID YOU GET YOUR FACE IN MY BOOBS, HUH?"
"Uh... It was an accident?" Nemesis said, making excuses out of himself.
"Hmph..." Yoko give a huff at him until she just smiled and said, "W-well... thanks for saving me, by the way..." Then she glared and said, "But don't you mention this to anyone, okay?"
"Cross my heart and hope to not die from that." Nemesis said, crossing his fingers on his chest.
"You did good there, rookie..." Samus said as she gives a hand as Nemesis takes it and pick himself up, "Powerful and noble. If you continue, you'll be like someone's knight in shining armour. Or, maybe you did if a certain Princess had told me about it..."
"Oh, you knew that, huh?" Nemesis chuckled at that before seeing his helmet on Samus' hand as he said, "Thanks..." He takes it out of his hand and puts on his helmet as well as pulling his hood up before glaring at Tomas and the traitors alongside the other officers in tow.
Meanwhile, Nemesis watched as he is with his Mistresses of Flames, his Animated Breath army and his newfound friends who all ready their respective weapons, especially Yoko who whips out a gun in hand, as they stare at each other.
"So..." Nemesis then shows off his flames on his hand as he said, "Are you ready for round 2?"
The others were all ready their respective weapons and their magic as they glared at the team but for Tomas, all he can say is, "I have enough of this nonsense." He said before putting his finger on his ear and said, "Captain. Prepare the Exterminatus."
"The Extermina-what-now?" Nemesis asked, wanting to know if he heard is wrong.
Meanwhile, up in the sky, a single yet gigantic behemoth of a space ship appeared and as it still floats there, it then fires a beam down below...
Everyone are all surprised as a beam have struck against the base where they once had their meeting as an explosion occurred.
The team looked at Torquemada who look glad at the laser beam coming from the sky as he gives a sardonic look at the team and say, "This time, may you think what shall happen if you dare to impede the glory of the Termight Empire." He said as a magic circle appeared and he, alongside the traitors and officers, disappeared from thin air.
They all saw the laser is coming towards them and they think the most intelligent way possible, "RUN!" Mando yelled out as he run away.
"Don't need to tell me twice. Even I don't think I can survive that... I think?" Deadpool said the question on the last part before running off.
"I am eager to face/But death by laser/I would rather die from Snu Snu." Zer0 commented as he too runs away.
"JUST SHUT UP AND GET OUT OF HERE!" Yoko yelled as the rest of the team are all running away from the laser beam.
And as Nemesis runs away with them, close to the edge, he then casted "Animated Breathe: Dragonfire Bird." and gives out a loud roar of fire from where his mouth is, resulting in the flames starting to form into the same giant bird as everyone tries to jump on top of it.
All the while, the other Animated Breath are all dispersed from thin air as the team were all holding upon the feathers of the Dragonfire Bird as hard as they can as they try to avoid the beam that are inching closer to them.
Finally and fortunately, they all avoid the beam as it stopped before it could chase them as they all sigh in relief as Nemesis said, "Well, at least it couldn't get any-"
Suddenly, an explosion had occured that results in the bird they're flying in started to lose out of control as Efreet touch the bird's head and steady itself as they all witnessed an explosion in comparison to a nuclear fallout, had just happened as they all look upon such a sight in awe and terror.
Then Nemesis felt someone glaring at him and look at Deadpool as he said, "Seriously, dude? Tempting fate? Thought you are more savvy than that?"
"Okay, you're ability to break the fourth wall are just scary..." Nemesis commented as he then ride his bird into the horizon as he said, "Let's just... Let's just go."
All the while, a new adventure awaits for Nemesis the Warlock.
Whatever that might be...
