Hey there. So, this is the first chapter of a crossover series I would like to share. I hope you enjoy it, and please give feedback, it would really help, and is very appreciated. So, without further ado...uh...here you go:

They awoke in a forest. Not a forest, necessarily, but a patch of trees and shrubbery, just on a hillside. He sat up, put his hand on his head, and looked at his surroundings.

"Trees…" he mumbled as his mind started working again.

It was supposed to be a normal mission. Go to Harmony Square. Find the chimaras, kill the chimaras. He got there all right; he rode there on his motorbike. After getting there, it took some time to find said chimaras. But even when he DID find them, they hopped into the portal to their dimension: the Astral Plane; god that place was weird. What happened next? Oh, yeah, he sent out his sword legion to follow them. They were practically cornered on that cliff as he and his legion took them out. After collecting their cores, he went back into the portal. But….this didn't look like the bustling metropolis he was used to. Wait, why were there so many trees?!

He stood up with a start. Why were there so many trees? The Ark never seemed to have this many. This…this wasn't home.

"Why…why are there so many trees?! Where am I?" He questioned aloud, not really expecting a response.

"Well sir, we appear to be in an area with a lot of trees." a voice responded to his question. A voice he knew well. This was his Sword Legion, the weapon he was given as a part of NEURON, the police branch that dealt with the chimaras of the Ark, the safest place for humans in his world. A world under assault for about 30 or so years from the chimaras, red matter, and the infections and destructions that it brings. His own mother was infected by the red matter, becoming shifted by it, yet giving birth to him and his sister, Akira. This is why he could communicate to his legion on this level. It could be quite helpful. And irritating.

"Yes, thank you for that remark." He sarcastically responded

"Well you requested it, sir." it retorted

"Yes, but WHY are we in an area with a lot of trees, huh?"

"We went through the portal."

"Yes, but since we went through the portal in SECTOR SEVEN, going back would put us in SECTOR SEVEN, not a FOREST." he said, using his hands to emphasize his words.

"Well… glitches can occur, of course. You know that, I know that. Happens to your computer all the time."

"That's because you try to spill soda on it."

"Doesn't matter. Glitches still occur."

"Have any portal glitches ever occurred to you?"

This shut his legion up. It floated around a bit, inspecting the trees while he sighed and walked up the hill. What he saw at the top wasn't reassuring in the least.

Rows of brown houses filled the valley down below. Streets nearly empty, with a car or two at the most riding along the gray lines in the distance, mimicking the light gray clouds in the sky. This wasn't the city, this wasn't the Ark. This wasn't even a part of his world; how could this place survive otherwise? He pulled his astral chain to get his legion's attention.

"Hey! What-oh…OH…yeah, I see the problem now."

"Now you do, now you do...ugh. Okay, we need to make contact with headquarters. Is the radio working?"

After smacking it a few times, it fuzzed to life, and the voice of Olive Espinosa, the commander, flickered out.

"Hello, hello, officer #$%$ Howard, are you there?" she asked

"Yes, yes, I'm here. Though I'm not sure WHERE I am though…" he responded

"Um….not sure. Give me a minute."

Great. Stuck here. He pulled on the chain and walked down the hill, heading into the cult-like town.

The town was oddly pleasant, which was a bit of a concern. It was a quiet, plain place, the odd car or two driving along the road. The rest of them were by the brown houses he saw earlier. The people he saw were surprisingly similar. Some wore suits, others wore more casual attire. They all stared at him though. Even one car passing by slowed down to call him a freak. He looked at the driver for a moment and saw it was an older, fatter man. He shrugged it off though. He too was freaked out by this place, the people here would freak out about him. His legion had been dismissed for the time being. Nobody could even see it, but it was for the best. His radio came back to life again.

"Okay…it seems you're not in the Astral Plane or our dimension. Are there any landmarks you can see?"

"Uh…" he looked around, seeing a sign around the corner. It said in bold letters: Private Drive on it.

"...There's this sign that says 'private drive' in it. Do you know what that means-"

"Did you say private drive?!" another staticy voice chimed in.

"Marie, what are you-"

"Ok ok ok , I think I know where he is! Do you know Harry * %%#&?"

"H-Harry who?" he spoke up

"Harry Pot#r! It's this old-school book series made in the late '90s early 2000's. Apparently it was super popular. I only got into it recently, and it's pretty good."

"So how does that help me?" he asked the obvious

"Well, there's this theory. The $%$#53 #% theory that states every piece of media is its own alternate world, and we're taking a peek at it by consuming said media."

"So…I'm in a book series."

"Not the series, but its universe." Marie corrected.

"And if I were to do something in this…place…would it have any consequences on said book series?"

"Uh….not that I know of."

"Alright, alright. So how do I get home?"

"We're not sure right now. Just hang tight, don't do anything reckless." Olive came back through the radio. "We'll try to venture into the Astral Plane to see what went wrong." the voice became more fuzzy by the word. "Just try to-" suddenly, the voice went out. The radio was officially broke.

"Dammit." he shook the radio, smacking it again and again.

"So what are you gonna do now?" his legion had re-summoned itself.

"Oh my god, shut up. I don't know!" he replied.

"Well you don't have to be rude about it." he retorted "What did they even say?"

He explained the situation of being trapped in another dimension with no known way out.

"Wow. I totally would not know that feeling of being trapped. Explain. I'd really like to know your thoughts." it replied sarcastically, even laughing as it said it.

"Thank you for that. Real helpful." he responded in a similar attitude.

"Do I detect sarcasm in your voice sir?" he asked in a humorous tone.

"Yes, just like how I detect it in everything you say." he clapped back

"Well that's not my fault-"

"It literally is!"

"You're not the one being forced to serve some pathetic meatsacks-"

"Seriously? That again?" While this was true for legions serving humans, he and his sword legion had eventually made a mutual bond during their time stopping Jena Anderson and saving the world from Noah. It seemed less angry about their predicament, being stuck together and all.

"I mean, if you were doing it you'd want to snap back once in a while too. You've done it before." His legion replied.

"Yes, but you do it all the time."

"It's fun to see your response." It was practically grinning in the way it spoke.

"Alright Swordsy, if we're going to get out of here, we're going to have to find some sort of clue, or idea as to what we're dealing with, right? What is Harry Potter?"

"Harry Potter? Also, don't call me 'Swordsy'."

"The book series I just mentioned!" he exclaimed, ignoring its other comment.

"Don't worry, I know. Though, I don't know what it means. Does it have floating people in it?" it questioned

"Floating…people?" He looked around. It was later now, sunset, and in the sky he did see a floating humanoid going past. "We should probably help them."

He used his legion to get up on a house building, then jumped onto each, getting closer to the figure. Pulling his gun out, he aimed it at it. Taking a few shots, it was clear that it wasn't in range. He had another idea.

"I'm gonna shoot it out of the sky!" he explained

"Weren't you just doing that-"

"Arrow legion, deploy!" he cried, dismissing the sword legion and replacing it with a more feminine legion with a dress-like body. "Shoot that thing out of the sky!"

"Aye." it responded, taking a shot at it. It hit, but it only cried out in pain as it continued floating by.

"Well, shoot." he muttered, seeing as that didn't work. Dismissing the arrow legion, he continued to run on the rooftops to try and catch the figure. Sending out the sword legion this time, he threw it so that it would potentially catch the thing in the sky. It seemed to work, as the chain successfully wrapped around it, and it was falling to the ground. Sliding off the roof, he ran over towards the now grounded figure. It was a woman. A rather inflated woman, but it was still one. She was clearly distressed, yelling out for help.

"Okay, okay ma'am, what happened?" He started the procedure, taking out a notebook and pen.

"It was awful! Awful! I was just having dinner with my lovely family, as well as my horrible nephew, when THIS happened!" She cried, motioning to her body.

"Uh-huh, okay." He jotted this down. "And did you do anything to cause this?" he asked

"How DARE you assume I caused this! Like I said, I was having dinner with my lovely brother and his family. He was housing his nephew since his drunk of a father and mother got into a car crash or whatever. Serves them right! I was just commenting on it when it started! And when are you going to remove this arrow from my arm?! It hurts like the dickens! And another thing…" she started crying once more. He tuned her out for a bit while noting this all down.

"Heh. Maybe that attitude came from somewhere." his sword legion chuckled.

"Not now." he acknowledged his legion. Then going back to the woman, "Not you, ma'am. Just talking to myself. Now, where did this event occur?" He continued questioning her

"4 Privet Drive. That's where my brother Vernon lives."

"Uh-huh." he continued writing this down. "And what is your name?"

"Marge. Marge Dursley. I breed bulldogs." she responded.

"And what is your nephew's name?"

"His name? Yes, of course! You should really arrest him, officer. He's just like his parents: only existing to cause trouble!" she passionately answered

"His name?" he asked again.

"Oh yes. His name is-"

"HALT RIGHT THERE!" a mysterious new voice interrupted the investigation. Seemingly out of thin air was a group of people in white robes. They had strange sticks in their hands, and they were pointing them at him, the woman, and his legion.

"H-hey, excuse me, why are you-" he tried to ask the strange people

"Step aside, muggle, this doesn't concern you." one of them responded, stepping towards the woman.

"Wait, hold one, this is a police investigation. You can't just-"

"I'm sorry, but this does not concern the muggle cops." the man explained. "Now answer this question: Do you know what's going on?"

He was confused at this question. "What do you mean? This woman is obviously in distress. I was just asking her what happened. Are you the police of this world?" he finally asked.

"Why, yes. We're aurors of the Ministry of-"

"Shut the hell up, rookie!" the leader reprimanding another officer. "This MUGGLE does not need to know about the Wizarding World!"

He jotted this information down. 'This world has wizards, which probably means there's magic too. I wonder what it can do. It has to work from those sticks. It has to. Why would they point them like guns if they weren't?' he thought to himself while the supposed wizards discussed things amongst themselves.

'Yeah, good thoughts sir. I really think we should leave right now.'

"Why? We're investigating a crime…"

"FREEZE, MUGGLE!" the leader shouted

"...scene." he finished muttering.

"By order of the Ministry of Magic, your mind must be wiped of this event! The muggles must not know of the wizarding world!" the leader continued.

"You know, for a leader of the secret wizard cops, he isn't very good at hiding it." The sword legion commented

"Yes, thank you for stating the obvious." he replied, dismissing the legion before bolting. The aurors started saying chants, using their wands to blast beams from their sticks. He managed to dodge them, running in between the houses by the woman, and running right into the backyards. Since his legion was dismissed, the chain binding the woman to the ground was gone too, and thus she started floating again, taking the wizard's attention off him, and towards finding her again. He kept running until he was sure he wasn't being followed, and sat on the sidewalk to rest for a bit. Breathing heavily, he checked his notes again. This was a world of magic, with wizards. Wizards did magic. "Something about the nephew." he muttered, going back to that section. The boy. The woman…Marge. Marge complained about the father and mother. The nephew got upset. The boy might've had something to do with it. Marge thought so at least. Where did he live? "4 Privet Drive. Gotta go there." he got up, still a little winded, and headed towards the house.

After walking for some time, he finally found the house. It was even later now, the sky dark as…dark as night. A crescent moon was beginning to emerge. He knocked on the door.

"Hello? Who the bloody hell is-ah good, an officer. Glad you came 'round." The door opened to that same older, fatter man in the car. The one that called him a freak. How fate turned out.

"Yes, yes. I was, um, wondering-" he began

"Wait a moment. You're the high-tech freak I noticed today in the car! What're you doing here? Are you a part of that ministry, because he went that way!" the man pointed to his left, the man's right.

"Your-your nephew, right?" he confirmed, checking his notes.

"Yes. He blew up my sister Marge!"

"Alright. Thank you for the confirmation. Now, can I get a name?"

"Vernon. Vernon Dursley." the man said, putting out his hand.

"No. I mean the nephew." he asked again, ignoring the gesture.

"Oh, right. I thought your ministry knew. It's Harry. Harry Potter."

This was good news. He finally had some idea of what to do. Find the titular book character.

"Thank you, Mr. Dursley. Have a nice night." he returned the handshake, and walked back right where he came from, not before wiping his hand on his pants.

Finally he had some clue as to what he was supposed to do. Interacting with the titular character wasn't supposed to affect the supposed book series, and this was all he had basically. After walking for some time, he noticed a black haired boy with glasses. The boy was getting on a bus, and before he could catch up to the boy the bus raced down the street, leaving his view as soon as he reached the spot the boy stood. He sighed, kicking a rock before summoning his sword legion again.

"Oh; so do we have a name yet?" it asked, slightly amused

"Yes, actually. It's the name of the series. Harry Potter." he responded. "Though we just lost him to a bus." he added, disappointedly.

"I see, I see." he started to examine his sword arms "So now what are you planning to do, sir?" it questioned

"Not sure yet. We have to find him. But first we should…" he paused, noticing a black dog watching them from across the street.

"There's a dog." he told the legion, while the dog started growling softly.

"Yes, thank you for stating the obvious." the legion commented. "Now why is the dog important? I thought you're a cat person." it added

"I just….have a feeling about it. Chain it up." he commanded the legion. And it did just that. He ran towards the dog on the opposite side of the street.

As the dog squirmed, it did the most peculiar thing. It transformed into a man. His clothes were tattered, and his hair long and unkempt. He looked almost like a prisoner.

"Who are you?" he asked, placing his foot on his chest and his baton to the man's neck.

"Like you don't already know. What are you planning to do with Harry?!" the unkempt man demanded

"Nothing, nothing. I just want to ask him some questions. I sort of need his help right now." he answered, still holding the baton to the man's neck.

"Really? You can say I need his help as well." the man replied

"Hmm..Who are you? What is your name?" he asked again

"Don't you know? I assume you're going to take me back to the ministry and Azkaban." the man guessed

"What the hell is 'Azkaban'? As for the ministry you speak of…" he paused for a moment "..you can say I don't have a good relationship with them right now." he retracted his baton away from the man, still keeping his foot on him.

"I see. So you wouldn't mind if I told you I was Sirius Black, huh?" he asked timidly

"No. No. Why would I? You do seem like an escaped convict; that's what you are, right?" he concluded

"...Yes. But I'm innocent. I've been telling them that for years. They never believe me." Sirius sighed, seemingly defeated.

He took his foot off Sirius's chest, and helped him stand up. He was still chained by the astral chain from the sword legion, but it was better than it was a moment ago.

He paused, and went to consult his legion:

"Is he lying?" he whispered

"Doesn't seem like it. Though he seems desperate. Like you, actually." it answered, chuckling at the end.

Ignoring that last comment, he turned towards Sirius.

"Alright, tell me your story."

Sirius told the strange man about how he was James's best friend, and how the dark wizard Voldemort threatened James and his wife, Lily. How Sirius was made to guard their location by being the secret-keeper, only to change it last minute to Peter Pettigrew, to make it even safer. But Peter betrayed them all; he told Voldemort, and that allowed their deaths. Sirius was furious and tried to confront Peter, but Peter had other plans. He caused an explosion, killing 12 muggles before cutting off his finger and turning into a rat, scurrying away. Sirius was left broken and angry, only being able to laugh at the entire situation. As he told this story he noticed the man taking notes and seemingly conversing with an individual right next to him, but nobody was even there. Only a weird blue chain. Continuing on, the ministry arrested him for all the murders and sentenced him to Azkaban for life. He had just been able to escape via turning into a dog. He has seen Peter's rat form again, and he knows he must find him, and now must avenge James, Lily, the Order, all the lives Peter took from the innocents, and prove his own. He must also find Harry and Remus…especially his beloved Remus. After he finished, he looked at the strange officer. He was checking in with his invisible buddy, making metallic sounds as they talked.

"Is he lying about any of this? It seems hard to make up. Though we're not even from here." he muttered

"His heartbeat sounds the same. Our situation sounds insane too." he responded

"Now tell me your story, if you please." Sirius brought the both of them back to the conversation.

"Oh, yes, of course. But I warn you, it will sound insane." he replied

And now he explained how he was from a different dimension, one ravaged by chimaras, red matter, and apparitions from a different dimension bleeding into his. He was an officer in this dimension who had control of legions, tamed chimaras that helped defeat their own kind. He left out a lot of parts, like Jena Anderson, Yoseph, and the events from the first few months of him being an officer at NEURON. The most important part was that through something he was transported here instead of his regular world. He has to get home, to protect the last remains of humanity, his sister, and his friends from the chimaras, and to eventually take the world back from them to restore Earth to what it once was. Sirius was taken aback by all of that, understandably. He seemed to get the final message of it all: return home.

"Alright, Officer Howard, I'll try to help you the best I can. Although I'm still confused about what you just told me." he said at the end

"Understandable. I don't quite get this world either. But I will help you find Peter, and bring him to justice." he said back, finally untying the convicted innocent. The two shook hands, creating their newfound alliance.

"I can probably get you to Diagon Alley, the center of London's wizarding supplies, though I'm not sure how much I can help after that." he warned the officer.

"Well thank you for trying, and thank you for agreeing to help me find a way home. Though do not go into the portal yourself. It will destroy you." He warned Sirius back.

"Okay." he agreed, taking dog form, and leading them to their next destination.

"So basically, we get trapped on this alien book place two dimensions away, become a fugitive of the law, team up with a non-murderous murder convict to find a 13 year old child, kill a rat, and find a way to travel back through the use of magic. Am I getting that right, sir?" his sword legion recapped, imitating the way he jots down notes.

"Yes, now we should hurry up and follow Sirius, we don't even know where we're going-!" he managed to respond before crashing into a tree.

"Trees…" he mumbled as he shook it off and followed the Grim to an adventure they won't soon forget.
