"You mean you've never built a fort before as a kid?" The blonde superstar gasped at the revelation.

Ally blushed, "No, never in my life." The songwriter shook her head and avoided looking in Austin's eyes.

Austin stood up, placing his hands on his hips, "We're building a fort. You get some blankets and I'll get the chairs."

The teenage girl grinned, excited by the prospect. Ally bounced to her feet and raided the linens closet as Austin set his rolling chair to stationary. He dragged a few lamps to the center of the room and helped Ally string a piece of twine to connect the furniture, also connecting it to his ladder. The couple chatted happily as they worked, clothes-pinning blankets and led lights to the string, eventually throwing a pale pink sheet atop them all for a roof. The duo giggled as they smuggled snacks and pillows into their small fortress.

Ally looked around them in silent wonder, eyes wide and mouth agape, admiring the shadows the fairy lights threw upon the blankets. Her eyes glistening as she looked in wonder. Austin smiled at his girlfriend's cute reaction, scooching forward and squeezing her hand. Ally looked back at him, very happy and content. After a moment though, she blanked, "Um, now what?" she asked her boyfriend.

Austin just laughed, "We do whatever we want! Do you want to read? Watch a movie? Write a song? Forts are special places where you can just be a kid again. What would you like to do, Allygator?"

Ally thought for a moment, a slight blush spreading across her cheeks, "Could we snuggle?"

The rocker curled up beside her, resting his head on Ally's chest, staring at their entwined fingers, "Of course. Anything you want."
