Sonic opened the journal and saw it was Knuckles.

"Huh... Knux learned to read and write. I'm a bit surprised." Sonic said to himself with a hint of amazement.

He looked at the first page with a surprise expression with a hint of sadness.

the first page he reads:

"I honestly don't know how to say this. Though I am possibly just writing even though my writing is a little sloppy. But I haft to do this somehow. Someone may ask, 'Do what?' I haft to be honest. I'm doing it seal away my feelings for the one person 'who had captured my heart way after Sonia and I decided to just be friends'. I mean she was okay and everything but I now have eyes for one of her brothers. It's just, complicated."

"He had a thing for someone? Who is it, Seelkadoom? No he woulda known about him. Or maybe Manic. Nah Manic would pulverize him like a nail." Sonic said to himself.

"Only one way to find out." Sonic sighed deeply as he said 'feeling a little better'.

That was when he red the second page:

"Who I like is someone I care about. I like him more than just a friend. I didn't want to be a friend or a brother to him. I, I wanted to be more for him. Who I like? Is 'Like I said' one of Sonia's brothers. No it's not her psychotic older brother 'Manic', but who I have eyes on is her younger brother. His fur as beautiful and shines like the glistening sea, his eyes shimmer like the twinkling stars at night, each and every time I see him at night, he shines so brightly like the master emerald had been in the sunlight at Angel island."

"I'm a little surprised he remembered that. I thought he forgotten about it." Sonic said to himself curiously.

The third and fourth page, Sonic was a little hesitant to read as he reads them both:

"Every day, my feelings for this special someone grew stronger. Still, it's hard to even think. Recently after the designated hero thing. He was noticing me. Was I grabbing his attention? Who knows? I strangely like it. The way he looks at me. He's actually kinda cute when he looks away from me. I sort of remembered him looking at me from the time when I was a teenage Walrus Girl. Still, I coulda sworn he said I looked cute in that dress. He be cute too if he wore a dress. Though I sort of imagined him in a purple dress. Would he look as beautiful as an amethyst? I'm not sure. He shimmers like a jewel everyday in my sight."

fourth Page:

"Huh. Sonic went to see me at my home. He said he wanted to see me. Still, can't say it was bad. He and I sat on the table cause I didn't have a couch. Still, he looked rather charming in the sunlight. A loose board was going to hit him and that was when I reacted right away. I got him out of the way in time. But that resulted in me well? Being on top of him. I mean, we were on the floor and Sonic? Ha! He was surprised. I saw how red he looked. He was actually cute when he's embarrassed. Was he embarrassed I dunno. But when Barker came bursting in but a second later when he saw me and Sonic on the floor. He was shocked. 'Sorry to Interrupt' he says in embarrassment. Interrupting what? He then told us to pretend he wasn't there and he was never there. Was he thinking I was gonna... No he didn't. Then again I think he did think I was gonna do 'it' with Sonic. Why? Cause I'm pretty sure I heard him say outside the house 'Geez I walked in on them having sex. Guess even boys can throw themselves at him'. Yeah. He just judged what he was looking at. Sonic was on the floor with his face turning to me as I was indeed on top of him. But when Sonic heard it his face turned red like a strawberry. He panicked and I'm pretty sure he had steam coming out of his ears while looking at me. Yeah this was embarrassing. I known I say this but Sonic is real cute when he's embarrassed like that, though if I did have sex with Sonic without having second thoughts, Manic would kill me."

Sonic feeling a blush on his face.

"He thought I was cute? Oh Knux." Sonic said to himself.

"Though yeah, Manic would indeed kill him." Sonic said to himself as he sighed deeply

He red every single page while commenting, "Geez. Most of these pages involved him and me. This page even says he was scared for me about the maniac from the road-trip thing going to hurt me. Could this mean...?"

He turned to the last page and it made his heart sting as he red it allowed;

"It hurts my heart pushing Sonic away. Still, maybe when the time is up. M-maybe the day will come when I approach him. I can actually tell Sonic how I feel. How much I love him. Twice more than I have with Sonia. I may not know if he feels the same way. But I want to make it work and love him and care for him with all my heart."

That alone made Sonics heart beat as he shook as he gasped and whimpered.

It made his heart shatter more about this. Knuckles 'Who saw Sonic found his journal' was shocked as he gasped.

"H-he loved me. H-he actually loved me. H-how come? How come I never realized sooner?! I mean, KNUCKLES LOVED ME THE WHOLE TIME!!" Sonic said before he starting sobbing again as held his journal in his arms.

Knuckles watched from a far as he looked down.

"If only I knew earlier I woulda told him." Knuckles whispered.

"Sonic! We are telling you, we are right here!!" Tails said in frustration.

"Yeah!! WE ARE RIGHT HERE!! SONIC!! SONIC THIS ISN'T FUNNY!" Amy shouted in anger as she was starting to tear up.

"AAAHHH!! SONIC PLEASE WE ARE RIGHT HERE!! WHY AREN'T YOU LISTENING TO US?!?!" Sticks shouted.

"Guys, he can't hear us. Nor can he see us." Knuckles said as he turned to them.

That was when Charlie and Belinda walked to him with guilty look on their faces.

"YOU!! How dare you show your faces here!" Sonic said angrily in tears.

"L-listen Sonic we..." Charlie uttered but was silenced immediately by Sonics glare at him.

"I don't wanna hear your god damn brags you four eyed rat!! You tried to get rid of him since day 1!! This is what you wanted right?! YOU ARE JUST TOO STUPID TO SEE THAT HE DID NOT MEAN TO RUIN YOUR MISERABLE LIFE!! GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!!" Sonic shouted before screaming at him angrily as tears stream down his face.

That was when Seelkadoom and Manic appeared and hugged Sonic as he was in hysterics.

"Haven't you villains done enough damage already? Now leave! Last thing we need is Sonic smashing skulls." Seelkadoom said 'telling the villains to leave in an angry tone'.

"If there's gonna be any skull smashing Seel. It would be from me." Manic said to Seelkadoom while trying to calm Sonic down.

Charlie and Belinda walked off in guilt.

"Believe it or not. I'm gonna miss him too." Charlie mumbled under his breath.

Sonic kept crying in the two hedgehogs arms until he calmed down to the point of falling asleep.

"Come on. Let's head to my place. Sonic had a rough day. I mean, seeing the echidna he secretly loved gone forever, really broke his heart severely. Once the service is over. We're heading back to mobius." Seelkadoom suggested as Manic picked his sleeping younger brother like a toddler.

"Yeah. I agree. Last thing we want is Sonic crying over the fact that Knuckles is never coming back." Manic replied to Seelkadoom before they left the gazebo in the pouring rain.

Knuckles sighed deeply.

That was when Manic stopped growled while holding his brother close.

"Y-You fool! Sonic maybe cocky but he cares. You just had to disappear from his life. You don't even know how much he loved you. I'll never understand what either of my younger siblings see in you. But I know they each cared for you in separate times." Manic muttered in an angered tone.

"Of all the times you let Sonic get hurt... This is the worst." Manic looked down as he mumbled.

He then walked off with Sonic his arms. Knuckles looked down as he sighed deeply.

"He shouldn't blame you what is happening to us right. Don't listen to him Knuckles. You're just..." Tails said but he was interrupted by Knuckles.

"No Tails. He's right. I do keep letting Sonic get hurt. I swore to Manic I keep Sonic out of harms way. But I keep letting him down. So many times I let him down. Not just Manic, but Sonic as well. I don't wish to make Sonic suffer. I never meant to, cause I love him. Now I'll never get chance with him." Knuckles said 'in tears'.

"W-We'll do something. We need to head back to my workshop." Tails said before rushing back to his workshop as Knuckles and the girls followed.
