Shortly after Kenma's episode, a nurse went in to explain to Tetsurō the situation. "He suffered a large amount of trauma from the fall which caused post-traumatic amnesia. Hence why he didn't remember you, or himself. It is common for patients with amnesia to have that reaction, especially considering that he woke up in a hospital bed with a man claiming to know him. Now I'm not saying in any way this is your fault Mr. Kuroo but what I am saying is that after you left the room Mr. Kozume was alone and vulnerable so he let his thoughts consume him and he began to have a severe panic attack. Which then turned into a prolonged clonic seizure due to all the signals the brain was trying to send out. We did our best to assist him. Unfortunately, after running some tests we did find out that his seizure was of focal onset. This means it started in one part of the brain and didn't affect all of it, so Mr. Kozume was aware during his seizure. He has not woken up yet but his vitals seem to be steady as of now."

After the nurse had explained everything to Tetsurō he was speechless. He was taken aback by that. Kenma had suffered through so much. He almost wanted to believe that this was some sick joke Kenma was playing on him. Tetsurō felt like a hot knife had pierced through his chest. The nurse began talking but he could not hear anything over his gut-wrenching sobs. He wasn't sure when he started crying but he knew he couldn't stop. He began to scream with all of his chest, sorrowful tears caressing his face. All he could feel was the unbearable pain.

"Please! Please make it stop!"

"No this can't be real."

"Please tell me this isn't real."

"This is all a joke right!" Tetsurō threw himself towards the nurse and pulled on her arm.

"Kenma is fine right ma'am, I broke his fall."

"Why is he in critical condition and not me!"

"I have to see him, please let me see him." Tetsurō's sobs became louder and louder.

The nurse tied his wrists down and put a gas mask over his face, Tetsurō's body started to become relaxed, his sobs went silent, and his body fell asleep.
