Ash, Pikachu, Pr. Oak, Delia and Dawn were at the moment riding on a plane towards the Unova region, as it's been a year since Ash Dawn and Brock travelled through the Sinnoh region and Ash had used that year to mostly train and catch new Pokémon while Dawn travelled through the Jotho region winning the grand festival this time and now they had decided to travel together through Unova and since it doesn't have any contests Dawn decided to also try out the gyms this time and seeing the region as a second goal.
Ash was thinking back at something Ho-oh said before they boarded the plane "when you arrive in Unova someone will be waiting for you" and he asked himself who it was.
What he didn't know the Pokémon of Ideals Zekrom was the one that was waiting for him as he had been searching for someone with, whom he had the same believes as him since he, Reshiram and Kyurem had split apart and he also asked himself if Ash would be the first person to bring them together again after hearing so much from the other legendaries about the chosen one.
Just as they arrived in Unova and left the Airplane Pikachu was grabbed from behind and when he turned around, he saw team Idiot's "can't you let me alone for at least one day" Ash said as he took Aerodactyl's and Annihalape's Poke ball out of his pocket.
"Not until we get your Pikachu for our boss" Meowth said as Jessie and James summoned Cacnea and Seviper.
"Annihilape Aerodactyl I chose you" Ash said as the Ghost/Fighting and Flying/Rock type appeared on the field.
But before the battle could start a massive thunder rained down on team Rocket as they were send flying by it.
As Pikachu was also send flying but was caught by Aerodactyl and when they looked up, they saw Zekrom descending towards them, and he then explained that he was here to join Ash on his journey as was shocked at first but caught him with one of his mother's self-made Master balls which fitted the Legendary since it was mostly black with some blue stripes.
Ash was shocked at first but recovered from it when he heard Pr. Oak say, "What happened here why are Annihilape and Aerodactyl outside of their Poke balls".
To which Ash answered "Team rocket tried to steal Pikachu again and the 2 of them defeated team rocket and send them flying" he said as the three Pokémon nodded before Ash returned the two to their poke ball.
Before putting away the 2 Poke balls as Zekrom's Poke ball was already send back to the lab since he already brought 6 Pokémon with him.
Just at that moment Pr. Juniper arrived at the scene and then brought them in her car towards her lab on their way Juniper told Ash and Dawn that their Pokémon were rare in this region but in contrary that her in Unova were Pokémon that you couldn't find in Kanto, Jotho, Hoenn and Sinnoh.
To which Ash and Dawn answered that that was the thing that make a new region a lot more interesting for them and when they arrived Ash wanted Pr. Juniper to make some test on Pikachu because of the electricity of Zekrom although he didn't tell it, as the test went on Pr. Juniper saw that Pikachu had more electricity than normal which surprisingly wasn't overloading Pikachu.
At that moment Pr. Juniper's assistant came in saying "the 4 new trainers have arrived to get their starter Pokémon".
This was when Pr. Juniper remembered "Oh yeah Nate, Hugh (I know that Nate and Hugh are from BW2, but I have decided to make them Ash's rival as well), Bianca and Trip are getting their first Pokémon".
"Oh, so today is this season's day for the beginners to get their first Pokémon" Ash said as Pr. Juniper nodded.
"Since we have 6 Pokémon why don't you two take the once that will won't be chosen" Pr. Juniper asked them.
"Are you sure" Dawn asked to which Pr. Juniper nodded.
"Yeah, since the four are the only once it the town that get their first Pokémon anyway and else we don't know what to do with the 2 that will be left over" Pr. Juniper said as both of them had stars in their eyes at the thought of a new Pokémon but first they send one of their Pokémon home to make place for the new partner and then went to the main room with Pikachu joining them after the tests were done.
Although Hugh, Bianca and Nate where nice Trip was a jerk from the beginning calling both Piplup and Pikachu weak and insulting both Kanto and Sinnoh.
As for the Starter's Ash and Hugh got Oshawott, Bianca and Dawn got Tepig and Trip and Nate got Snivy.
Trip challenged Ash to a battle which Ash accepted.
As they stood on the field Trip said, "Use that weak Pikachu of yours".
"Well, I would have wanted to use my Oshawott but since you insulted my Pokémon, I will show you the hard way that he isn't weak" Ash said as Pikachu jumped onto the field ready for the battle as Trip send out his Snivy.
The battle was a short one as like all of them apart from Trip thought Pikachu was a lot stronger than Trip's Snivy and to add to it he paralyzed it with discharge only to finish it off with Hyper Beam.
"Snivy is unable to battle, Pikachu is the winner, and the winner of the match is Ash" Pr. Juniper said as Pikachu jumped into Ash's arms.
"You just won because you used a Pokémon that was already trained" Trip said arrogantly.
"You were the one that said he should use Pikachu, you know what I think you are just a bad loser" Nate said as Dawn and Hugh nodded.
After getting their Pokémon healed Ash and Dawn said goodbye to the others and headed north towards the next town.
On their way Ash caught a Pidove and a Deerling in its spring form and Dawn caught a Lilipup and they met a girl called Iris who wants to become a Dragon Champion and was also participating in the League challenge.
But one thing that went both Ash and Dawn on the nerves is that she kept calling Ash a kid.
A bit later the trio met a guy called N who could understand Pokémon and told them after an incident he decided to travel throughout the region to see the bond between Pokémon and people.
Before leaving he challenged Dawn to a battle which ended in a draw between his Klingklang and her Typhlosion.
Next was an incident where they fell into a pit trap which turned out to be not from Team rocket but a group of Sandile as a Boy called Dan explained who ran a Spa resort hotel but that couldn't open because of the Sandile's.
After a lot of trouble because of the Sandile's they found out that they did this not to cause harm but to warn them since because not far from the hotel Geysers were erupting and was sending boiling hot water in their direction but with the help of Ash's Aerodactyl and Dawn's Mamoswine they were able to stop it after the whole fiasco they could enjoy a nice hot sand pit.
Just as they were about to leave the Sandile leader who is wearing sunglasses challenged Ash and Pikachu to a battle and in mid battle the Sandile evolved into Krokorok but still was defeated by Pikachu in the end by Surf after the battle the Krokorok joined Ash's team and they headed towards Accumula town.
When they arrived, they went to the Pokémon battle club, after registering themselves in it they saw a battle between a Servine and a Dewott were the Dewott came out on top.
After the Servine trainer went to get his Pokémon treated a big man came over and introduced himself as Don George the manager of the Battle club.
After introducing themselves the Dewott trainer came over and Challenged Ash to a battle which he excepted.
"So, you are staying at Dewott" Ash asked as the trainer nodded "Well then Vaporeon I chose you" Ash said as the Water type Eeveelution appeared on the field ready for the battle.
The battle was a short one as Vaporeon was stronger than Dewott and absorbed his water type attacks thanks to her ability in Water Absorb and, in the end, she finished it off with a combination of Shadow ball and Ice beam.
"Dewott is unable to battle, Vaporeon is the winner, and the winner of the match is Ash" Don George said as the Dewott trainer got his Pokémon and thanked Ash for the battle before he left the Battle Club.
At that moment suddenly the siren went on and Don George's assisted came in and said the Pokémon food thief has come back and when they watched the camera's Dawn though it was an Umbreon a theory which Ash debunked since as he showed by his own one it wasn't the truth since then the rings would shine.
But when they went to investigate it, it turned out that the thief was an abandoned Tepig that got its nose trapped in a rope that wrapped itself around it and made it impossible for the Tepig to eat.
And after freeing it and rescuing it from team Rocket the Tepig wanted to join Ash as a thanks which he happily accepted after that trio left Accumula town in direction to Striaton city.
After a 3-day trip where not much happened apart from them training the three finally arrived in Straiton City as they met a guy called Cilan who showed them where the Gym was, and Iris decided to go first.
After meeting Chili and Cress who were with Cilan the three gym leaders of Straiton City.
Iris challenged Cress, while Dawn challenged Cilan and Ash Challenged the three at the same time so first was Iris VS Cress.
"The Gym battle between Iris and Cress is about to begin, the battle will be a 1vs1 battle, the battle will be over when the Pokémon of one side is unable to battle, are you ready" Cilan said as both nodded "then let the battle begin".
"Panpour go" Cress said as the Water monkey appeared on the field ready for the battle.
"Deino go" Iris said as the Dragon/Dark type appeared on the field ready for the battle.
The battle was a close one since panpour made the floor wet which caused Deino to slip multiple times but in the end, he still pulled through and finished it off with a combination of Crunch and Zen-headbutt.
"Panpour is unable to battle, Deino is the winner, and the winner of the match is Iris" Cilan said as Cress and Iris returned their Pokémon and thanked them before meeting in the middle where Cress gave Iris the Trio badge.
After that Dawn came down and, on the way, Iris wished her good luck.
When Dawn arrived, Cress began "The Gym battle between Dawn and Cilan is about to begin, the battle will be a 1vs1 battle, the battle will be over when the Pokémon of one side is unable to battle, are you ready" Cilan said as both nodded "then let the battle begin".
"Pansage go" Cilan said as the grass monkey appeared on the field ready for the battle.
"Tepig show them everything you got" Dawn said as the fire pig appeared on the field ready for the battle.
Even though Dawn wasn't yet that much into normal battles Tepig used his type advantage to in the end win the battle and in the end finished it off with a Flamethrower.
"Pansage is unable to battle, Tepig is the winner, and the winner of the match is Dawn" Cress said as Dawn went over and hugged the fire pig.
After that she met with Cilan who congratulated her and then gave her the Trio badge as well.
After that she left and went to the stands and wished Ash good luck for the battle.
"So, you wanted to face the 3 of us in a row" Cilan asked as Ash nodded when he arrived at the field.
"Well then we accept your challenge and Chili will go first" Cress said as Ash nodded as Chili stepped on the one side of the field and Ash stood on the other one.
"The Gym battle between Ash and Chili is about to begin, the battle will be a 1vs1 battle, the battle will be over when the Pokémon of one side is unable to battle, are you ready" Cilan said as both nodded "then let the battle begin"
"Pansear go" Chili said as the fire monkey appeared on the field ready for the battle.
"Tepig go" Ash said as his fire pig appeared on the field ready to battle.
Ash's Tepig was stronger than Dawn's since he had his other fire types start to train him and with that, he also learned Mud shot which helped him in this battle and in the end Tepig finished it off with a Mud shot after sending it flying with a with bite.
"Pansear is unable to battle, Tepig is the winner, and the winner of the match is Ash" Cilan said as Tepig came over to Ash who petted him on the head and congratulated him.
As Chili went to the side Cress came onto the platform on the other side and said "I will be your next opponent" as Ash nodded.
"The Gym battle between Ash and Cress is about to begin, the battle will be a 1vs1 battle, the battle will be over when the Pokémon of one side is unable to battle, are you ready" Cilan said as both nodded "then let the battle begin".
"Panpour go" Cress said as the Water monkey appeared on the field again ready for the battle.
"Oshowatt I chose you" Ash said as the water otter appeared on the field ready for the battle.
The battle again was a close one, but Oshawott used his type diversity to get the advantage over Panpour and in the end finished it off with an Ice Aqua jet.
"Panpour is unable to battle, Oshawott is the winner, and the winner of the match is Ash" Cilan said as Oshawott run over and jumped into Ash's hands, who congratulated him.
In the meantime, Cress and Cilan switched places as Oshawott went over to were Tepig was Cress begun "The Gym battle between Ash and Cilan is about to begin, the battle will be a 1vs1 battle, the battle will be over when the Pokémon of one side is unable to battle, are you ready" Cress said as both nodded "then let the battle begin".
"Pansage go" Cilan said as the Grass monkey appeared on the field again.
"Pidove I chose you" Ash said as the dove appeared on the field ready for the battle.
Pidove had an easy job with both Ariel Ace and Brave Bird who were both taught to him by Ash's other flying types and in the end finished it off with another Brave bird.
"Pansage is unable to battle, Pidove is the winner, and the winner of the match is Ash" Cress said as Pidove flew over to Ash and landed on his other shoulder as Ash congratulated him.
After which he went in the middle where he met up with Cilan who told him "You did an amazing job out there and you deserve this badge" he said as he gave Ash the trio badge.
"Yay I got the Trio Badge" Ash said as he celebrated with his Pokémon jumping in the air.
After that they said goodbye to the trio and went to the Pokémon center and went to sleep
