"Who are you, and what do you want?" Lindo asks, her voice loud with anger, yet a hint of fear could be noticed.
The man stands up, the light fully shining onto his blue suit. Walking toward a wall, he puts his arm on the mantle, hanging over what looked like a small fireplace. "Well, that's a very good question, but-" he stares at the air for a moment before shaking his head. "We'll talk more about that later, I'm Klang Jesher."
Lindo looks torwards Klang and the door, her mind going through all the possible ways to get out, only leaving her stumped. "Ok, Klang-" She starts to say before stopping as he puts his finger to his mouth.
"You can and will call me Doctor J," He says with a glimmer in his eye, which Lindo couldn't tell looked good or just plain evil. Pulling his arm away he walks over to a table on the side of the room, taking an apple from a small bowl. "We have been looking for you quite a long time only to our surprise the forest above us was where you were all along."
"Why were you looking for me?" Lindo asks, stopping for a second, trying to put the pieces together even though she didn't have them all. "And how do you know my name?"
Doctor J stops mid bite of the apple, thinking of how to phrase this. "You are special, and your name is obviously known if we've been looking for you." He says with a chuckle, looking around to notice there was no one else in the room to chuckle with him so he quickly stopped.
"This is just way too confusing, I want to go home." She pleades to Doctor J, tears start to form in Lindos eyes before being wiped away by the back of her hand. "Away from all this confusing stuff."
Doctor J shakes his head again and starts walking torwards Lindo before stopping suddenly. "But Lindo, this is your new home, a new home with a future and hope for humanity." He says, squeezing the apple in his hand so tight it bursts, resulting in him having to pull out a hankerchief to wipe his hand.
"A hope for humanity? How can kidnapping me be a hope for humanity?" Lindo asks, gasping at Dr J crushing the apple with his strength, leaving Lindo to take a step back. "And I don't want to stay here." She says, slowly backing up towards the door.
Doctor J holds out his hand in mid air. "Well, no more questions at the moment, we need to to get ready for the test." He replies, a tile opening from the ceiling. After a moment of nothing happening a small box the size of a brick falls from the hole. "And this wonderful invention will take you to your room!"
Lindo takes the box from Doctor J, examining the rectangular shape with its very few features. "How is this going to help me get to the room your talking about?" She asks waving the box in the air while she speaks.
"That's for you to find out Lindo." He says with a smirk, starting to head for the door, his shoes making a loud stomp for every step he takes, "Once you get to your room, you have an hour till the first test."
"Wait, can you at least tell me what I'm special for?" She asks sincerely as Doctor J walks toward the door that she had come from. "I'm a nobody." Lindo says hanging her head.
Doctor J twirls around, "Your not a nobody, I just don't know enough about you, but I soon will." He grins widely before walking out of the room, slamming the door behind him causing Lindo to jump at the loud sound.
Looking down at the box now in sitting in her hands Lindo slowly sits down on a chair that happened to be sitting by the door. "What can you do?" She asks, running her fingers over it's shiny metal.
"Well I could take you to your room if you new people weren't so slow on telling us that." The box says in a British accent, causing Lindo to jump and throw it up the air shielding herself from the talking box. "Well that was quite rude." It says, slowly falling back down to the ground after shooting a small propeller out of the top of it.
Lindo looks back at the box, now sitting on the ground. "Why are boxes now speaking?" She asks, starting to back up a bit in fear of the talking rectangular box. "And how did you fly like that?" She asks out of curiosity but still fear.
"The word is float my dear, I can't fly." The box says before stopping suddenly, popping out another propeller leaving there to be two out at once. Turning them both on it starts to float upwards. "Oh wait hah! I can fly." It says, finding out this new skill, before accidentally getting hit by the ceiling fan on top of the room sending the box flying and one of the fans blade to snap.
With a gasp Lindo runs over to the box which quickly pulled it's propellers in. "You ok box thing?" She asks, looking back at the fan which now was spinning at a odd angle, "is that ok?"
"Yes everything is fine, just pick me up and tell me where to go, you don't have all day." The box says, ignoring that it had just been launched across the room. With a swift grab Lindo picks up the box which happened to be upside down, showing the letters TDLI.
"Hmm I think I'll call you Tolli." She says, flipping the box back over, a small crack forming on the screen before an electrical zap causes the crack to disappear entirely. "And uh I guess I'll be going to my room?" She softly says, her voice full of doubt and confusion.
Tolli suddenly lights up, the screen showing a small path, zig zagging through multiple different hallways and sections. "The route to room 1976 is on the screen, and I find it rude to stare at people so keep that in mind." Tolli says, causing Lindo to chuckle for a moment.
"Oh and Tolli, I was wondering. Is there going to be any breakfast?" Lindo asks, get stomach grumbling just at the thought of eating. "I was kind of disrupted this morning.." She trails off.
The box I'm her hands thinks for a moment, "you'll eat when you get to eat." He replies, his voice starting to get very cross at the fact that Lindo hadn't even moved from the spot after he had told her the path to go. "Now please go, this is very boring."
With that Lindo nods her head and opens the door. Walking past all the orb shaped robots and the desks she quickly makes her way to room 1976, a room in this place that would change her life forever.
