"Why can't I see?" Lindo asks aloud, her voice shaking as her breathing becomes fast and dry. "Well, because you just can't, obviously" a voice answers from what Lindo could only assume was near the door.

"Why are you here, Polly?! And what do you mean I just can't?!" Lindo yells at the blondie, her voice growing with anger and curiosity, but yet fear, as she demands.

"Slow your roll grasshopper, getting worked up like that will only make everything worse" Polly replies to hot headed girl. "First of all, I check on everyone once they had the first test to prepare them for the harsh months ahead. Second of all, you were put through the first and, in my opinion, the most painful test, that everyone here has went through." She tells Lindo.

"Can, c-can you tell me more about it? I want to know what's going on..." Lindo asks, stumbling back over to her bed, to attempt to calm down a bit, wiping tears from her now blank-white eyes.

"Well, that's classified information for now, but there are few things I can tell you without getting punished." Polly says, her footsteps going in random directions, as if she's pacing around Lindo's room.

"So, that big machine they put you in? That is called the 'ProEyeSting212', it's designed by Doctor J and his group of lab assistants to take out the irises of children, for, ehem, reasons that shall not be discussed of, so don't ask."Polly explains, her voice becoming strict and slightly afraid at that last part.

"Wha- why do they need my eyes?" Lindo asks, her voice cracking, as she desperately tried to keep herself from crying.

"I just said don't- ugh, nevermind" Polly groans out, obviously annoyed at Lindo. "Don't worry though, if you survive long enough, about two weeks, they'll give you some special seeing material, like me and some of my friends." She says to Lindo, hopefully to make this breathing ball of stress calm down.

"You have friends?" Lindo mutters not so quietly through her tears. "Excuse me?" Polly sighs, as Lindo lets out a small laugh.

"At least she's not breathing frantically like a dog anymore"Polly thinks, as her footsteps get closer and closer to Lindo.

"I reprogrammed your TDLI assistant before you came, that's why it acts much more strange, compared to this scary and serious place." Polly whispers into Lindo's ear.

"I did it so that it could give you the directions to the meeting, as I talked to the few older kids who run it, and they agreed to let you in. But I also may have messed with it's personality a bit" She continues.

"Meeting? What meeting?" Lindo whispers back, confused why they weren't speaking normally.

"There's a meeting, under the facility, where a bunch of kids here go to meet up and discuss things, but I do warn you, the higher ups have caught us once before, and a lot of the kids weren't seen again." Polly explains to Lindo.

"So please, come quietly and don't let anyone see or hear you. The meeting happens every Tuesday night, it starts at midnight. Don't be late." She informs Lindo, taking a breath from all the talking.

"Oh, I see. I'll try my best to get to that place on time" Lindo replies. "But why are we whispering? It's not like Doctor J is standing right in front of us." Lindo asks, wondering if he actually was right there.

Polly takes Lindo's hand and reaches it under the bed. Lindo felt a weird, spherical bulb, along with some scratchy dust.

"Feel that?" Polly asks. "That's a microphone, they're listening to our every word. There's about forty in this room alone"

Lindo took her hand of out Polly's, and just sits at her bed for a few moments, truly taking in everything that this girl had told her.

"You alright, tree girl?" Polly says, trying to sound sassy and unbothered, but deep inside is worried for the poor girl. "Yes, just... thinking" Lindo answers.

"Anyways, what day is it?" Lindo asks, attempting to change the topic to something less sad, and she always heard her Father ask that question whenever talking to business partners.

"It's Wednesday, so about a week until your first meeting, also means you'll have a test tomorrow." Polly answers. "Which means you should get some shuteye, the less you sleep you have, the worse the tests will be for you."

"It's 8:42 PM, and Doctor J makes us go to bed at 9:00, so you should probably get ready for bed." Polly says, as her footsteps got farther away from Lindo.

"Wait!" Lindo cries. "When do I get to eat again? I was interrupted in the middle of my breakfast" She stands up, walking closer to Polly, to stop her from leaving.

"Doctor J doesn't let you eat on your first day, I'd give you something from Kash's snack stash, but I'm sure that Doctor J would somehow figure out I did, and we'd both get punished for it" Polly answers, leaving Lindo to wonder who this 'Kash' person was.

"But, I should be heading out now, and you get some rest. Goodbye, Lindo" and with that, she walks out the door as Lindo squeaks out a "Bye Polly".

Lindo goes back to her bed, and instead of going to sleep, Tolli turns himself on. "Well, that was quite the conversation. I see you got yourself a little friend, hm?" Tolli says, snickering a bit.

Lindo doesn't answer him, she just sighs and sits on her bed, tears starting to form in her eyes, and sniffles quietly.

"Now now, Lindo. Don't be sad" Tolli says as he listens to Lindo cry on her bed. "I didn't even say anything rude this time" Tolli scoffs.

"Just let me go to sleep, Tolli" Lindo whines as she flops herself down onto her bed. She grabs her blankets and pulls them over her cold body.

"As you wish, Sir" Tolli shuts off, leaving the room completely dark without his blue glow.

Lindo awoke by a loud ringing, turns out Tolli had set an alarm for her. "Rish and shine, Lindo" The bot says. "It's 7:00 AM, time to wake up and start you day."

"7:00 AM? Why must I wake up this early?" Before Tolli answered her question, he suddenly starts ringing. "Tolli? What are you doing? Be quiet!" Lindo yells at her robotic friend.

A weird voice comes out of Tolli, it sounded like him but not really, much more robotic than his usual voice. He keeps saying "Incoming call from Doctor J" over and over again. Lindo just sits at her bed, not sure what to do.

Finally, she randomly presses Tolli's screen, until a voice she recognized way too well started speaking to her.

"Well, Lindo, it seems you're up at 'em again. Thank you for answering my call, I wouldn't have wanted to force you too." Doctor J says. "We have some tests for you today, so how about you come down for a friendly visit in our lab?" He continues, in a voice that was too happy for Lindo.

"No. I won't go down to your lab again." Lindo says very sternly.

"Oh but Lindo, you wouldn't want me to escort my guard to you, now do you? It will make the tests much more painful" Doctor J says in a snarky tone to hide his anger.

"Nope! I refuse, you can't make me." Lindo yells at the Doctor, her voice growing with anger and she becomes more and more confident in herself.

"Okay, Lindo, I'll give you a pass this time since you're new to this place. But don't ever talk to me like that again, or else there will be painful consequences for you" He says, his voice becoming very threatening.

Lindo gulps, her attitude going from confident to pure fear. "Y-yes, Doctor J..." She mutters.

"Splendid! Are there anymore questions you want to ask me?" Doctor J replies, going back to cheerful.

"Yes, will I get some food once you're done with the test? I'm starving" Lindo asks, trying to sound and sad as possible to guilt trip him into saying yes.

"But of course, Lindo! As long as you hurry down to the lab" he answers, ending the call to let her get the directions.

"Tolli, take me t-" "Where you would like to go Miss Lindo?" Tolli interrupted.

"Don't interrupt me again, BoxBoy" Lindo said, annoyed. "Take me to the lab, please"

"Right away, exit your room, and then a take a left turn in fifty feet."

"This will take a long time"Lindo thought as she walked, hoping she wouldn't bump into any walls."I just hope I can go home soon..."
