This part in Ashes and Blue Roses coincides and is inspired by the songs "Don Juan" and "The Point of No Return/Chandelier Crash" from the film and soundtrack, "The Phantom of the Opera."
Part 9
French policemen gathered in the auditorium
Raoul kept watch at his usual box, while Sam chose the opposite
The tween sat down below with her parents in the crowd, the forum
Was prepared, the lights were lit, "Don Juan" played, nothing positive
Could be found from the dark script, the fires of the underworld were awake
For much time Carlotta, the actors, and actresses ran backstage
Once two actors, wearing black and red, walked out and said their lines, as a lake
Brimmed in crackling, grey ashes, waited for two young singers to approach at daybreak
So, Frodo walked out with Christine, not prepared for what would happen next
The two waited for the Phantom and seductress at best
It was the only way to keep the crowd happy
What more could they do, if not sadly?
Yet the Phantom and seductress came, in full force
The Phantom was after Christine, without much remorse
He used his words to sooth her first
Raoul's plan was failing, with little mirth
Then the seductress' worded spell turned on the hobbit
Frodo could no longer resist the temptation, he nearly lost it
Gave in, if he had not found the tween and Sam in the crowd
While the seductress seemed tall, nothing was guaranteed, small
As Sam and the hobbit tween watched the scene in horror
Frodo joined the seductress on the wooden balcony, no tower
Fell in-between them, on the very edge of no return
Frodo took the seductress' mask off from her face, led to a stir
The seductress and Phantom, now without their masks
Dropped the chandelier towards the crowd, where it crashed
On red-cushioned chairs, sending a massive fire
Burning down the Opera House like a monstrous, thorny briar
In haste, the seductress grabbed Frodo, as the two dropped
Through the same trap door, where the Phantom fled with Christine
Sam and the tween searched for Madam Giry backstage, they were cross
Before Sam could follow the tween and Madam Giry, he had seen
Meg Giry block the crowd from moving onwards
Sam spoke with Meg, who showed him another way
Where the policemen and mob headed, they were more than sober
It was a long trek down, Sam did not give up, no matter what anyone could say
