"I'm up" Percy said groggily, wiping the sleep out of his eyes, finally taking notice of his surroundings. He was still in the van from last night, Grover was leaning over him. It was still early and the sun had not risen yet.

"Percy we're here!" Grover said before pulling back and letting Percy move and really observe his surroundings. He first saw a big pine tree just outside the door for whatever reason this tree had a nametag.

THALIA'S PINE

Thalia's pine is all that remains of the daughter of Zues. Thalia was turned into a pine tree by her father after sacrificing herself for her friends and the camp itself from a hoard of monsters called by Hades to kill Thalia for being the result of a broken oath. Thalia's sacrifice has resulted in a magical boundary around camp that keeps both mortals and monsters out. Thalia's consciousness still waits for something to change as she is trapped between life and death.

'Poor girl she didn't deserve something like that, no one does!' Percy thought angrily.

As Percy tore his attention away from Thalia's tree his eyes were initially caught by a cabin that seemed to be glowing with the morning light and about a dozen others all with unique designs.

"Apollo's cabin" Chiron supplied from a little bit down the hill, he had apparently gone back to his true form of a white stallion body with Mr Brunner's torso slapped together.

"Come along now Percy, I shall introduce you to Mr D, our camp director. Try to be respectful."

Percy followed Chiron back to a large four story house in silence. As they walked through the camp, Percy noticed a few early birds getting up and at it. Some had odd nametags like: Gleeson Hedge - Coach, and Ethan Nakamura - Misguided Youth.

"Ah, here we are. Welcome to Camp Half-Blood. This is the big house aptly named for being well big. This is Mr D, our camp director." Chiron says introducing the chubby man wearing a leather print shirt sitting in a rocking chair, that Percy swore wasn't there about a moment ago.

"Another one aye Chiron old friend? Well I suppose if I must I'll say it. Welcome to Camp Half-Blood, but don't expect me to mean it or be glad that you're here especially at this time in the morning it's far too early!"

Percy looked at his name tag not expecting much from an out of shape middle aged dude; perhaps he was just a demigod that managed to live to the ripe old age of 45. Grover did tell Percy that demigods don't have the longest life expectancy as in your lucky if you hit 21. What Percy didn't expect was a God to be sitting in front of him looking like a middle aged alcoholic.

Dionysus - Olympian God of Wine, Madness, Theater and Grape Harvest.

Dionysus, also known as Mr. D, is the Greek god of grape-harvest, wine, orchards, fertility, madness, parties, religious ecstasy, and theater. He also serves as the camp director of Camp Half-Blood, having been placed there by his father Zeus as punishment for chasing after an off-limits nymph.

"Uh, thanks, sir." Percy added, not wanting to piss off the first god he met.

"Finally a demigod who knows their manners." Mr D grumbled. Percy didn't mention that he knew exactly who and what he is, and that if he didn't know he would have treated him with a hell of a lot less respect.

"Thanks Mr D or can I call you Dionysus?"

"Oh isn't this interesting? You're the first demigod I've met that has instantly known that I'm a god, well not the first but the first in a long time. Stick to Mr D and I'll be watching you Percy Jackson do try to be entertaining." Mr D said before turning into a purple hologram outline thing and disappearing with a breeze that smelt of crushed grapes.

"Percy, how did you know who Mr D's was?" Grover asked after a moment

"Well you did tell me that the Greek Gods were real so I just thought of all the figures in Greek mythology that start with the letter D and also have ties to leopards and took a shot I guess." Percy said lying through his teeth.

"Right then Percy, since you got the rundown from Grover you wont need to see the orientation film. Grover, why don't you show Percy around the camp and then show him to Cabin 11." Chiron asked after a moment of stunned silence.

"What's Cabin 11?" Percy asked.

"It's the Hermes Cabin, he is the god of travelers so he takes in anyone who isn't claimed yet or is and whose godly parent isn't one of the olympians." Grover explained as he began the tour starting with the strawberry fields.

"Well that doesn't seem fair, like at all!" Percy said a little too loudly as he startled a nymph, who didn't like it when people were being loud at the crack of dawn and as a result got an acorn thrown at his head.

YOU HAVE TAKEN ONE DAMAGE!

"Ow."

"Percy, I know it seems unfair but that's just the way things are." Grover responded kindly after apologizing to the nymph.

Percy mumbled back something in response neither agreeing or disagreeing.

As they continued along listening to the birds and the sounds of camp starting to come alive with the suns rising. They eventually made it to the pegasus stables where Percy saw about half a dozen real pegasi. As they walked past the pegasus stables Percy randomly asked.

"What happens if you know who your godly parent is but haven't been able to, can you just stay in their Cabin?"

"No Percy you can't! Even if you are certain of who your father or mother is, the god or goddess could smite you or worse curse you for all eternity!" Grover responded quickly shutting that conversation down.

"Fuck!" Percy exclaimed in horror. Percy thought that from the way Grover talked about it that he had seen it happen before.

"Look Percy. The best solution is just to leave it and stay in Cabin 11!"

Percy and Grover walked in silence for the rest of the tour apart from Grover informing him about the locations they visited. Percy really liked the look of the climbing wall and the arena but didn't say anything about it. The thought of what happened to those kids, still fresh on his mind.

Suddenly a horn blew in the distance and Percy was knocked out of his thoughts.

"Come on man, time for breakfast!" Grover yelled, apparently having already hoofed it.

By the time Percy caught up to Grover, it seemed like the whole camp was up and about he caught a few odd looks from some of the campers. Percy for once didn't have a clue on where to sit and what to eat because everything looked so good. So he just sat down next to Grover and a bunch of other Satyrs. That was when he noticed Chiron at the head table, discreetly calling over a blonde dude from the table that had all the kids on it. When the blonde guy came over Chiron looked in his direction for about half a second and the blonde guy's eyes followed.

The blondie that Percy had begun calling in his head 'Jeff' made his way over and as he did Percy noticed that there was a wicked scar under over the left side of his face.

Luke Castellan - Rebellious Youth

Percy wasn't sure on how he felt about that title so he decided to peek a little further.

Luke Castellan - Rebellious Youth

Level: 65

Health: 1000

Luke was born in Westport, Connecticut to Hermes, the god of travelers and thieves, and May Castellan. May had a divine accident and became cursed to see shattered glimpses of her son's future giving her uncontrollable bursts of madness. When he was nine years old, Luke ran away from his home because of his mother's unstable mental problems. He traveled for years, lonely and miserable until he met Thalia and Annabeth who then became Lukes new family. Some time later they met Grover who told them of a safe place for demigods and led them to Camp Half-Blood but they were chased by monsters summoned by Hades to kill Thalia. Thalia did not make it but Luke was determined to create a new family in Thalia's memory and loved each new camper with all his heart. When he was about seventeen, Luke was offered a quest by his father Hermes: to seek a Golden Apple at the Garden of Hesperides from the tree. He ended up failing miserably and coming home alone with a new scar to boot. He had already begun to sour on the gods but after seeing the countless years of torture the young demigods had to go though in the Hermes cabin coupled with his failure and the shutdown of quests entirely stopping demigods from getting a chance to know who their parents are broke him.

'Jesus christ and I thought I had it rough dealing with Gabe all those years' Percy thought.

"Hello Percy, I'm Luke and I'll be your new cabin counselor. Come with me and I'll teach you how this whole god's thing works." The now named Luke said with a charming smile.

Percy not knowing what else to do followed him over to the hustling and bustling Hermes table.

"So when we get our food we sacrifice some of it to the gods to honor them." Luke explained handing Percy a plate of pancakes that smelt divine.

Percy, seeing other campers already lining up at the fire, decided why not the worst thing that happens is that he smells some burnt pancakes and looks a bit stupid.

"Oh and when you chuck it in, say a god's name if you know who you want to sacrifice for or just say whichever is your non divine parents opposite." Luke explained to the somewhat confused Percy.

"Just say for dad or something?" Percy asked.

"Maybe sacrifice some to Hermes coz he is hosting you in his cabin." Luke said before going up and sacrificing to Hermes himself.

By the time it was Percy's turn he mustered up all the confidence he had and walked right up to the fire and dropped about a quarter into it and said "Hermes." Which was then followed by whispering "Poseidon." After dropping the rest of the brisket in.

Surprisingly the food didn't smell like shit and actually it smelt quite nice. It smelt a bit like good old greasy maccas when he dropped it in for Hermes, and it smelt like fish and chips when he dropped it in for his dad.

The rest of lunch was a bit awkward as he had to introduce himself to his new cabin mates which went as well as it could have, Percy supposed. Percy had a nice breakfast and snuck a few pieces of toast in his inventory after seeing their description.

Divine wholegrain toast

After breakfast Luke told one of the kids, Conner, to take the cabin to the arena while he showed Percy Cabin 11. As Percy entered Cabin 11 it reminded him of an orphanage from an old british film he watched at school one time, in the sense that even though it was void of any people it looked crowded, there were sleeping bags on almost every inch of the floor. A beaten map was hung on one of the far walls and a caduceus was hung on the doorframe on both sides.

"This spot here is yours," Luke said, pointing to a few feet of open space on the floor. "Now we don't have a sleeping bag available to you though but I do have one left over from my quest, so for now it's all yours."

"Thanks Luke, I appreciate it man!" Percy said with a smile not wanting to linger on the subtle bitter tone in his voice when he brought up his quest. If Percy didn't know any better he would have thought to ask about the quest but didn't want to bring up any unnecessarily bad memories.

"Right then let's get you started out with sword fighting!" Luke said cheerfully.

After getting a brief introduction to how to hold a sword from Luke, Percy and the rest of Cabin 11 began getting run through training exercises. After everyone had warmed up (in Luke's eyes), he began doing what teachers did that everyone hated. Asking the new kid all the answers, or what that translates to when your teacher is teaching you how to use a sword; Being the training if Percy was being completely honest he wasn't too mad about it because he knew the more he trained the stronger his skills got and that's the whole point of him being at this camp was.

After about an hour of Percy learning how to properly handle a sword and demonstrating a few moves, Percy had updated his sword fighting skill and gained a few levels in sword fighting.

Luke decided to have Percy demonstrate Luke's personal favorite disarming technique: The snapping turtle. Don't ask Percy why it's called that, it just is.

"All right, now this one is difficult." Luke stressed. "I've had it used against me a few times. No laughing at the new kid, now. Most swordsmen take years to properly get this technique down."

Luke demonstrated the move, and he kind of hooked the blade under the hilt and yanked it upwards out of Percy's hand, giving him a little cut or what would have been a little cut had Percy had a normal body.

Luke then got Percy to demonstrate it on him and once he was sure Percy understood the move he then said:

At lunch Percy was suddenly decided to be the new popular kid and everyone at their table wanted to sit next to him and get to know him. So he sat down in the middle of the table and tried to talk to as many people as possible. He got to know Connor and Travis a bit, Ethan; the kid he had seen wandering before dawn, Chris, one of Hermes' kids and a few others. They chatted a bit about the shock of coming to camp and not knowing who your godly parent was and just generally made small talk before heading off to do the next activity.

By the end of the afternoon Percy was a bit tired from having to climb the climbing wall, boy howdy dodging boulders and avoiding lava was not what he expected when coming to a summer camp but, he won't complain too much the results speak for themselves.

FOR SUCCESSFULLY CLIMBED THE ROCK WALL YOU HAVE GAINED 1 TO DEXTERITY, VITALITY AND STRENGTH!

By the time free time rocked around Percy decided to go exploring, Travis (or was it Conner?) had mentioned something about monsters being in the woods but they couldn't get into the camp thanks to Thalia's Pine. So Percy had decided to explore said woods and try and get some easy exp. He had a few hours before dinner so it didn't matter how long it took, though he didn't necessarily need to go thanks to his inventory but still it would look kinda strange the new guy disappearing before his first dinner.

So Percy began to wander through the woods to get a bit of a lay of the land, he found Zeus fist which had a few campers nearby making out which he ignored. After about 20 minutes of wandering he found the river that cut across the woods.

"Eh fuck it may as well practice if I have the opportunity." Percy said after looking around to see if anyone was around.

Percy began to manipulate the water, at first he started out just shooting it out at random things like trees and boulders, but after a bit he started to get a bit creative with it. Percy had heard that if you fall from a far enough height that water becomes as hard as concrete and the object will shatter against the water. What if he was able to do that to the water and then put it in as a wall in between himself and an enemy. At first all he was able to do was form the water into a wall, but after imagining that the wall was as hard as concrete, the wall started to solidify, at first the wall could probably take maybe a punch or two but the longer Percy kept pumping mana into the stronger it got until he ran out of juice.

Percy turned around in an instant and saw it, a massive black Tibetan Mastiff and by massive I mean the size of a car massive. Percy quickly used observe to see if he could actually kill this thing.

The hound leapt into the air from the clearing, trying to tear Percy's head off in one foul swoop. But Percy just managed to dodge to the left just in time, the hound only managing to tear into his arm instead.

So Percy moves on to try and find something to kill. Eventually Percy stumbles upon a clearing that seems to have recently had something living in it going by the firepit and odd looking sleeping bags. Percy went up to investigate the odd looking sleeping bags.

Percy closed the screen quickly to quell the rising bile in his throat. Before he was just going to get some exp and get out now it was personal, whatever was living in this dungeon was killing people and doing it with some kind of sick pleasure.

Percy was overall pretty happy with his new skill, even if he had to retrace his steps

every 10 feet because the tracks led off in a slightly different direction. Eventually Percy found himself at the mouth of a cave. Percy could make out some faint sounds coming from inside the cave, so he ventured forward, sword out ready to strike at the faintest sign of movement.

As Percy made his way further into the mouth of the cave, he felt a sense of uneasiness upon him like every step forward was another towards his own grave. The deeper Percy went in the air grew still and stale and eventually he was in complete darkness, Percy was really regretting not having some sort of light source in his inventory. On the bright side Percy discovered that caves were wet, like extremely wet, so he was always not far from a water source when he finally found the monsters he would have a relatively easy time. Hopefully.

Eventually the muffled sounds became more of a rhythmic chanting, as Percy got closer he could make out some of the words and of course they were in ancient Greek because why wouldn't they be?

"We must slaughter the polluters! Rip their guts out! Poison them as they have poisoned the domains of the Great God Pan!"

Percy crept toward the cacophony of sound he saw the large cave room that the monsters were in, and it was kinda gorgeous in a disturbing way. The room was glowing with the bioluminescent mushrooms and plants, but they were growing out of the skeletons of human beings and in the center of the enormous room was an old gallows. Surrounding the gallows were maybe 20 Satyrs all covered in what looked like dried blood.

On the gallows stood a Satyr wearing only a mask that looked like some sort of demon. As Percy drew closer the chanting suddenly stopped, and it was dead silent. That of course is when Percy accidentally knocked over a rock.

"Ah it seems our latest sacrifice has decided to join us, and willingly this time, we did not need to trick it for it to enter our great lord's dominion!" The head honcho satyr spoke to the room. That is when Percy used observe, because he figured if this guy is talking then he is probably their leader, that and he was the one on the execution platform.

"Bring him to the execution platform!" Came the booming voice of the fearsome Nate.

Percy was dragged up the steps onto the rickety wooden platform and brought before the cult leader. This may have seemed like a bad spot for Percy but he was near the biggest source of water in the roof of the cavern.

"FOR THE HUMANS VILE TREATMENT OF THE EARTH WE SENTENCE YOU DEATH BY POISONING!"

That's when Percy commanded as much water as he could and covered himself and everyone on the platform in water from the torso up, attempting to drown them, Percy used the water to boost him up to a ledge he saw while being dragged up the stairs.

Percy was almost out of mana when he got the notifications telling him that he had killed the Satyrs;

Authors notes:

This chapter is a bit of a long one but I hope you all enjoyed it. I took some inspiration from Hades with the Satyr Cultists. I hope they didn't seem too weak or cliched. The next chapter is pretty much done, just needs a bit of tweaking and I still need to properly plan out how I want things to play out. I think I have a rough outline but eh who knows if i'm going to adjust it.

Hopefully I'll be done with chapter 7 by around this time next month or so but who knows with life and all that.
