Chapter 14 Physic vs Psychic
Another week has passed, I have train Izumi on how to control 'Void' and suffice to say I'm unimpressed, she's having a hard time to grasps the basics of 'Void' despite how many times I explain to her about the power and gave her several example on how to conjure it up. But I suppose that this is as expected, she's not a guardian, not someone that chosen by the Traveler…
I continue my training with Aria, and last week is the first time I manages to get into a standstill with her. A huge victory in my book, considering you are facing an entity that capable of using all aspect of light and dark, mastery of all of guardian's weapon and can predict your movement almost a hundred percent because she has been with you for how long?
"Nine years my beloved warlock" her soft voice answers my unasked question
That tirade aside, I finally manages to understand the basics for the temporal aspect of 'Rubric of Ahriman' I could stop time for five seconds, ten if I really put my effort, I could move time forward for ten seconds, and rewind for ten seconds. A cheap trick that is useless in combat, but a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step…
And this is step one
"Good morning Uraraka-san, Iida-san" Izumi greet her two friends, the girl that I saved six months prior from a werewolf attack, and the stick-up kid
"Morning Izumi-chan, Izuku-san" Iida-san said while bowed a little, "It's nice for both of you to come early, as a future hero we must be a good example to the society" he said while stiffly forwarding his hand for us to shake
"Hmm, being late or not is not a prerequisite to be a good hero" I said back in a bored tone
"But being a hero starts with small things Midoriya-san, and if you could not be trusted for even such a miniscule matter such as good behavior, then no one else will trusted you for bigger matter" he retorts with a fiery speech as if he's already a hero
"Hmm, maybe…" again I leave the answer hanging
"What do you think about todays activity will be?" Uraraka-san said, jumping up and down, excited for the hero-training class
"Hmm I don't know, that depends on the teacher, The problem is we don't know who our teacher will be" Izumi ponders a while
I decided to leave the trio while they continue to chat and make my way to my seat, before long the bell for the class starts to ring and the rest of the student seat, the first class, math, comes and goes, so to the second class, physics, and so goes the day until twelve pm.
"I'm entering! From the door! Like a normal person!" said a big buff guy with a blue costume, with red and white stripes and an ear-to-ear smile. All Might barges in and was greeted with a fanfare from the boys and girls
"Is that All Might?"
"All Might is our teacher"
"I cannot wait to show him my quirk!"
Most of the students are surprised to see the No.1 hero, All Might himself to teach our class, I have a feeling that our teacher would be a special one, but I don't think that it would be him. Half of me expected that Aizawa-sensei a.k.a Eraserhead himself would teach hero class.
"Okay everyone! From today onwards, until you graduate. I will be the one that will teach on Hero Class, from here I will gouge your abilities, quirks, and skills!, Now, future heroes, prepare your own costume and meet me in field B!" he yells with full enthusiasm
All of the students stand up and prepare to leave when suddenly…
"You better try to not get in my way extras you hear that!" said the blond Pomeranian said with an extreme vigor and anger in his voice.
Before Iida could retort, I put my hand in his shoulder and shake my head with my eyes closed, calming him down. Once that ordeal is finished, we all walk into our own designated locker where we would change to our own outfit, every one has their own custom designed outfit, except me and one guy, Shoto Todoroki, son of Endeavor.
"Where is your outfit Midoriya-san?" asks one Denki Kaminari
"I have my own" I give a short reply
"Yea I'm sure of it, but where is it? Is the hero support department didn't make you one?" he continues
"Hah! The support department deems you unworthy for their help with how weak you are Deku" Bakugou scoffs at my lack of costume, which I ignore and replied to Denki-san
"I have my own way of using my outfit, thank you for your help, Denki-san" I courtly replied back
"Ah no need for that, just call me Kaminari" he said scratching the back of his head
"Guys look!" the sound comes form a certain perverted midget with purple hair, the same midget that almost get disqualified last week during the quirk apprehension test, Minoru Mineta
"The last senior must have drill a hole through this wall, from here we could see what the girls are changing!" he said with a drooling mouth
"Mineta-san stop this perverted action at once as a future hero you must show restrain to our female counterpart! And this behavior is unacceptable to the general public, you must follow the rules and-"and you can guess that Mr Glassware already prepare a speech on good behavior like a politician

The sound of my Falling Guillotine burst through the ceiling and embed itself to the floor in front of the pervert purple shocked everyone, the hole he used to peeped is now blocked with a broadside of a guillotine, and I'm sure that he pissed himself
"Now, that would not be a problem hmm Mineta-san" I said, with a smile, while slowly walking to him
"N-n-no, it would not be" he said with teary eye, shaking leg, and trembling body
"I'm sure as a future hero you would not peep anymore hmm?" I sweetly said to him
"Y-y-yes-s-s"
"Are you sure Mineta-san? You promise?" I said with and extremely sweet voice as I stand in front of him
"Y-y-yeah, I pro-promised Midoriya-san"
"Good" I said lowering me body to speak to his ear and whisper, with a deep dark voice
"I don't take kindly to oath breaker"
Before quickly stand up and left the premise, leaving the rest of the student in trance
'My, my you haven't shown that dark side of yours except to a few individual' Aria cheerfully remarks my action
*Sigh* 'I simply have no wish for my sister's body to be a show for everyone' I replied back, but something tells me that this is a wrong move…
'So you could have her for yourself? Ara, I don't know that you're like that my dearest guardian' she teases me
'WHAT? WHAT? NO! By the Traveler no! What makes you think like that?!'
'Because you are in the age of where, you know, boys started to feel… Hmmm what's the right word… hormonal?'
'Okay Aria, first of all she's, MY SISTER! Do you know how… disgusting! That is? Second of all, what you say may be true, but I'm not just any boy, considering I spend nine years fighting hive, vex, taken, cabal and many more'

"Hehe, maybe, but don't worry my dearest guardian once the school is over you oculd have fun with me over my expense~' she said with a sultry voice in the end

Field B is jammed with people, all of class 1A is here, many of them changes, Uraraka changes to a pink astronaut-themes suit, Iida-san's suit has several exhausts, Yaoyorozu-san's outfit attract the attention of many boys, and Katsuki-san has a pair of hand-grenade-shaped gloves, I don't know why he choses that, but it looks stupid
"Where's you outfit Izu-nii?' a girl with a dark green spandex with a grey coat over top and a belt containing several knives asks me
"I have my own Izumi, nice outfit by the way. Just lacking for protection" I commented
"I specifically design this so I could have my freedom of movements, why get hit when you could dodge? That's the core value of my design! And don't worry about the outfit, I specifically ask the material to be strong enough to stop a nine-millimeter bullet!" she said with a cheerful smile
"I see… and the knives?" I ask her
"Ah! Let's say that's for… unsavory individual that I will meet or for emergency situations"
But before I could ask her about her outfit a sudden clap from our teacher brought my attention
"Ahem! So I will begin the test, today you all will be divided into to group! One is 'Hero' and the other is 'Villain'. So! For the training, 'Villain' group will have to keep a nuclear bomb, a fake one of course, while the 'Heroes' would have to capture and defuse the bomb!" he said as he laid out a plan in front of us
"Any questions" he asks us
"How about the team who we'll work with?" asks Momo-san
"Is there any threat of expulsion?" said Uraraka-san
"Aren't my cape looks great?" said one Yuga Aoyama
"Calm down everyone, ill explain one by one and the reason why its done!" All Might said with a big smile
"Firstly, your question Yaoyorozu-san, we will we will choose based on lottery, why? Because in the field there are circumstance where you have to work with a random hero to achieve the same goal! Also consider this as a test to see whether you have a good teamwork or not"
"Second there will be no expulsion this time, Uraraka-san. Don't worry! I am here to guide you through this course! The expulsion threat is merely for you to go Plus Ultra!"
"And lastly Aoyama-san! The cap looks great, but be careful, your outfit could also become a hindrance, say if you face a villain with wind quirk and your cap obstructs your view, you will be at a disadvantage!" All might finishes explaining
"So now, let's take your lottery!"
Everyone gathers around and take their own lottery
"So, first round would be Izumi Midoriya and Ochaco Uraraka as 'Heroes' and Tenya Iisa and Katsuki Bakugo as 'Villain'!" He said with much enthusiasm
I take a look and assessing on Izumi's reaction, she's surprised and hesitant, but after seeing me looking at her, she takes a deep breath and prepare herself to the staging ground for 'Heroes' section
*Izumi P.O.V*
I see Izu-nii give a small nod for me, encouraging me to fight as I head down to the staging ground and meet Uraraka-san to discuss our strategy.
"So, what's the plan Izumi-chan?" Uraraka asks me, fortunately I already prepared a plan to execute
"I know Bakugou-san would come to me directly, he's always that competitive with me, wanting to test which one of us is the better hero. So, that leaves Iida-san and his quirk. However, with his conservative way of thinking, I believe that he'll stay near and guard the bomb"
"So, I will bait Bakugou-san to me and you go to Iida-san Bakugou-san is aggressive and reckless, I could use his temper to bait him to do something stupid. Remember we have a time limit, so I'll try to hold him off as much as I can while you deal with Iida-san" I finish my plan, and see a smile on Uraraka-san's face
"Sounds good! Let's go!" her voice filled with excitement and determination
But secretly I wonder, what would Izu-nii do in this situation…
*Izuku P.O.V*
On the podium I see my sister huddled with Uraraka-san discussing something with my arms folded
"Hmm… she'll baited Katsuki-san and Uraraka-san will take care of the other" I said to no one
"You sounded so sure about that" Momo-san, looking at me with interest
"Maybe… I'm still worried though" I replied back
"Why? You don't trust that they'll succeed?"
"A high probability, the lynchpin of this fight relies on my sister able to tame the Pomeranian dog, should it be hailed, Uraraka-san will be at a severe disadvantage against two people. Her quirk, despite its utility, is not suited for close combat like that. Especially against someone like the Pomeranian"
"Woah that's so cool Midoriya-bro!" Denki-san said with much enthusiasm, a bit too much for my liking…
"Not special really, it doesn't take a genius to make a sound strategy, I'm sure Momo-san also already figure out their strategy" I said in a flat tone, keeping my eyes on the field
"But still is impressive that you figure out that quickly, normally most of the other students are met aren't that… bright" Momo-san replied courtly
"They just lacking experience, give them time and they'll grow"
"Sounds like you have a lot of experience then…" she gives a small nod to me
"…" I said nothing, instead focusing on the starting horn that signals the beginning of the test
'You have no idea the hell I have been through'
*Izumi P.O.V*
The sound of horn marks the beginning of the test, it won't be easy, but I'm prepared for my fight with Bakugou-san, as I traverse through the alleyway to the main tower where the 'Villain' group hold their nuke I hear a yell coming from the sky
"DDIIIEEE!"
A huge blast of explosion aimed at me as I quickly jump away, as dust and smoke settled, I see Bakugou-san glaring at me. Sparing no time, I quickly make a garbage bin to suddenly fly to him at a breakneck speed, he quickly vaults over as I have predicted and throw two knives at him
It missed, and using his blast he quickly flies to me, I pull back my knives again, now flying at him, He seemingly realize this and using an explosion to change the vector of his flight mid air
"Tch" he scoffs and again, launch himself at me, his right hand almost grabs me but I quickly sidestep and grab his arm, and throw him away, before taking a chunk of concrete and hurl it to him it hit him square in his stomach, wasting no time as he down I prepare to throw another pair of knives to him
"SMOKE SCREEN!"
He yelled and suddenly a huge explosion that leaves a cloud of smoke quickly obscure my vision, I hesitate for a second, but that one second is all that he needs…
From the smoke screen Bakugou-san burst through, leaving me with no time to withdraw, as I locked in hand-to-hand combat, he has the advantage here as I dodges furious blow from him, he then kicks me square in the chest sending me away and send in a huge explosion to me,
I quickly put up a physic shield and using the blast effect to further propel myself back, but as the smoke clears Bakugou-san is nowhere to be found, but I see a shadow looming over me as I standing up
"DDDIIIEEEE"
Another yell, and a blast of explosion comes after me, but this time I'm prepared, as I jumped away and using the rubbles form his explosions earlier, I use them as a bullet, flying to him at supersonic speed,
"Guh! Ow!" he grunts as the pebbles and rubbles grazes his skin and puncturing his body, of course I don't aim for his vita organ. As he landed, he quickly throws another explosion to me. I take out a huge chuck of concrete form the street and using it as a shield before launching it to him, Bakugou-san has no time to react and resulting him get crushed by it
I was out of breath, a bit bruised, but so far, I'm okay, I was about to walk out before suddenly from the rubble burst froth one Katsuki Bakugou, bruised, battered, with blood all over his body and face yet looking extremely furious
"Hah… hah... hah..., heh I gotta admit you are strong Izumi…, But you just like your brother are nothing more than just extras!" he proclaims before pulling out a pin from his grenade hand
"GIGATON BLAST!"
And all I see is white…
*Izuku P.O.V*
An explosion in a magnificent size engulfs the alley where Izumi and Katsuki-san are fighting, it is akin to someone strapping a bunch of fusion grenades to a massive bundle and explode it.
"WHOA!" all of the other student mesmerized by the massive explosion that occurs
"Bakugou-san has gone too far!" the red head of the class Eijiro Kirishima said
"Oh dear, Oh god! All Might-sensei you got to stop him! Abort the test immediately!" Mina Ashido-san said with an urgency
'He has gone too far! Kick him out! He must be disqualified!" Kaminari-san said with anger in his voice. And many other students also yelling and protesting against the act of the Pomeranian
"Shut up…" I said in a cold voice, that seemingly bring all of the attention to me
"Izumi is still alive, hurt yes, but still alive" I said in a flat cold tone
"Even if she is she must be heavily injured taking that blast, you wanted her to suffer even more? What kind of brother are you?!" Kaminari-san paint at me
"She choses this path, to be a hero, and sometimes, you must get hurt to gain experience. You cannot expect that your career as hero would go smooth sailing, facing opponents that's weaker than you."
"But still don't you think that the learning curve is a bit extreme?" Mina-san said with worry
"Either you sink or you swim" I give a grim answer, other student are about to say more stuff but a glare for me shut them up, after a while I focus my attention to the smoke from the field and make a small smile
'Besides… the sister I train will not go down easily'
*Bakugou P.O.V*
I gasp for air and attempt to cool my body down; I would not even realize that she has the strength to pull me this far. It was luck that allows me to dodges most of her knives and if I don't have the ability to make air movement, the situation would end up much, much more difficult,
I underestimate her, but at the same time I also wish that she'll be stronger than those extras. But I am No.1, I will be No.1 and no one will be there to stop me, not even my childhood friend…
As I turn my back to regroup, I see a small shadow through the smoke, and as it clears I see her… still standing, with multiple burn on her body, her suit is tattered, and blood covers her face and one of her eyes. One of her arms is burned so bad I doubt she would be able to use it for the fight. But she's there, standing, panting, with a determination radiate from her, but I cannot judges her expression, he hair cover her eyes and face
"Quit it" I said "You are in no fighting condition"
She doesn't show any expression, nor response from my word
"If you keep fighting, you'll die" I tried to coaxed her into giving up
No response
"Tch" I scoff and letting my other hand to make explosives to intimidate her
No response
Suddenly the air feels empty, and the temperature drop. I look around my surrounding and nothing changes yet, it feels empty. And as I turn my back to see Izumi, I see a purple glow emitted from her hand, whatever kind of bullshit it is I could feel that this is not a good thing.
I quickly make explosion and flies to her, she's battered so bad that whatever is she doing has a chance to kill he as well, I need to stop her.
But it was too late…
What I know next is pain, my skin feels like scorched, my inside feels as if a powerful shockwave it it squarely, my ears ringing to no end, feels as if someone stabbing my eardrum as I thrown away by a huge psychic wave…
*Izumi P.O.V*
When I regain consciousness I which that I had not, I wish that I will awake on infirmary…
Pain…, my skin burns, my outfit in tatters, and I have lost quite a lot of blood…
Dizzy…, I feel sick, nauseous, I feels that my body have no bones, I wanted to give up…
Burns…, it burns, every breath that I take feels me with pain in my chest, every time the wind brushed my skin it feels like a hot flame touches my skin…
Scared…, will I survive? Is this my end? I don't want to die here; I want to be a hero…

"It'll be okay Izumi" I hear Izu-nii's voice in my head
"You are much stronger than that Izumi, I know you are" I hear his voice encourages me
"You told me that you will prove me wrong? You will save everyone right?" I control my breath and open my eye
"Then you must go up there, the fight is not over yet Izumi…" Despite my muscles protesting me, I steady myself to stand up
"I know you are strong, you can do it" I don't know why, but my mind is clear as I easily gather the 'Void' energy inside of me,
"Because you will be a hero" as I see Bakugou-san blasting himself towards me I unleash all of my psychic might with 'Void'
"VOID WAVE!" I yell as a massive wave of energy crashes and destroys everything in its path, building blown over, cars flip over as if they are toys, the ground gave in and a deep the concrete flies away. A scene of utter destruction as if an invisible explosion tumble everything over
After the dust, sand, stone and rubble settled down, I see in the distance, lies one Katsuki Bakugou, unconscious over a pile of rubble of what once is a four story building. As I panting for air I suddenly hear the horn blaring
"HERO TEAM WINS!" the sound of All Might sensei indicates that Uraraka-san manages to secure the bomb
"Hahaha" I give a humorless laugh, as I feel light headed, my consciousness is failing, my vision blurs, my muscles give up. Before I fall into the realm of darkness, I hear a soft voice
"Excellent work, hero"
