UA (Day)
If there was one thing Dominic hated, it was not getting the recognition he deserved. He understood why the teachers were got the credit for stopping most of the villains, but it still stung. Eh, he'd just make sure to get the credit for the next one.
"Did you guys catch the news last night?" Kaminari asked the class.
"How could I have missed it? It ran for 16 consecutive hours, not counting the ad breaks for Netflix." Dominic said, winking to the audience. "Why did I do that? They don't give me money for this." he told himself, confusing many of his classmates.
"It makes sense. The hero course that keeps pumping out pros was attacked by villains." Jiro said.
"Who knows what would've happened if the teachers hadn't come when they did." Sero said.
"Stop that, Sero! Just thinking about it makes me wet myself!" Mineta yelled, tears coming out of his eyes.
"SHUT UP!" Bakugo told the purplette, scaring Midoriya.
"Speaking of the teachers, which one of them took out that big bird thing?" Sato asked.
"Actually, none of them. I saw Dominic use some sort of portal that made it disappear for a few minutes." Asui revealed, making everyone who was not already aware of that stare at the blonde.
"How the hell did he use another Quirk!?" Bakugo yelled.
"It's...complicated." Dominic said, thinking of a convincing lie. How could he connect heat and minerals to dimensional portals? Well, might as well use the truth. "Actually, it's apparently another aspect of my powers." he said, holding his palm open and creating a small Portal. "I only learned about it after I met an old man with a similar Quirk. He said that, by using these Portals, I can reduce anything to pure heat and transport it somewhere. The only downside is that it's not very powerful and it's only really useful if I need to send something away from me."
The boy looked at his classmates. Some of them looked skeptical of his explanation, but most seemed to take it at face value. That was good. He really didn't want to explain the more abstract abilities he had, like L.I.A.H. or his Dev-
"Everyone! Morning homeroom is about to start! Stop talking and take your seats!" Iida announced, marching into the room.
"We're all in our seats, though." Kirishima said, making Iida sit down with a scowl on his face.
"Tsu, who do you think is going to teach the class now?" Ashido asked her classmate.
"Well, Mr. Aizawa is supposed to be in the hospital recovering from his injuries." Asui said.
Sensing a familiar heat signature in the hallway, Dominic turned his head to the door to see a bandaged hobo walk into the room.
"Morning." Aizawa said, shocking all of his students.
"How in the name of me are you standing right now?" Dominic asked, taken aback by the man's durability.
"You're too much of a pro!" Kaminari exclaimed, surprised.
"So, you're all right, Mr. Aizawa?" Iida asked, raising his hand.
"Can you really call that 'all right'?" Uraraka said, almost terrified by her teacher's appearance.
"My well-being doesn't matter." he said, walking to his desk. "More importantly, the fight is not over yet."
"The villains again!?" Mineta cried, shaking in his seat.
After a minute of silence, Aizawa spoke again. "The UA Sports Festival is drawing near."
"Oh great. It's just a normal school event!" Kirishima exclaimed.
"Wait a minute, is it okay to have a sports festival so soon after villains snuck inside?" Jiro wondered.
"What if they attack again?" Ojiro asked.
"Apparently, they think of it as UA showing that our crisis management system is solid as a rock by holding the event." Aizawa explained. "Security will also be strengthened to five times that of previous years. Above all, the sports festival is a huge chance. It's not an event to be cancelled because of a few villains."
"But it's still a good reason, isn't it?" Mineta asked nervously. "It's just a sports festival."
"Just a festival?" Dominic asked, his eye blazing. "This may be my chance to finally get some serious training in! Every student in the school all fighting for the gold, it's perfect for me to gain some more experience!"
"Of course, all the top heroes around the country will be watching for scouting purposes." Yaoyorozu added, making the blonde's internal flame burn brighter.
"Time is limited. If you want to go pro, then the path to your future will open up at this event." Aizawa said. "If you understand that, then don't slack off on your preparations!"
"For once in my life, I won't." Dominic declared, smiling ear-to-ear as his Aura glowed crimson.
UA (Day)
Dominic watched in confusion as the doorway for his class was being blocked by dozens of other students. "What the heck is this?" Dominic asked, standing in front of the horde of teenagers.
"What business do you have with Class A?" Iida asked.
"Yeah, why'd you come here?" Mineta added.
Strangely, it was Bakugo who answered the question. "Scouting out the enemy, small fry." he said to the short boy as he walked past him. "We're the ones who made it out of a villain attack. They probably want to check us out before the sports festival." He then approached the crowd. "There's no point in doing stuff like that. Out of my way, extras!"
That got Dominic's attention. 'Wait, can he see the Fourth Wall too?' the blonde wondered. He'd need to test this later. As he contemplated throwing Bakugo into a reality-breaking experiment, he sensed an unusual presence in the crowd. Turning his head, he saw a boy with shaggy purple hair and sunken purple eyes.
"I came here to see what the famous Class A was like, but you seem pretty arrogant." he said to Bakugo. "Are all students in the Hero Course like this? Seeing something like this makes me disillusioned."
"There are quite a few people who enrolled in general studies or other courses because they didn't make it into the hero course. Did you know that?" the boy asked. "The school has left those of us a chance. Depending on the results of the sports festival, they'll consider our transfer into the hero course. And it seems they may also transfer people out."
'Harsh, but fair.' Dominic thought to himself, looking down at Mineta.
"Scouting out the enemy?" the boy said, repeating Bakugo's words. "I, at least, came to say that even if you are in the hero course, if you get too carried away, I'll sweep your feet out from under you. I came with a declaration of war."
