TW: Mentions of Rape/it is implied that it happens
The next morning, all three of them made it to a river that contained a stone bridge. Brienne, being the first to notice the bridge, brought them to a halt.
"It's a tough decision." Jaime began. "Take the bridge and risk being seen, or cross the great water."
"Silence, Kingslayer." Brienne demanded, as she began to decide the best course of action. "Princess, what do you think?"
Visenya frowned. "I'm a weak swimmer, I don't feel comfortable swimming across."
"Anyone can see us on the bridge." Jaime explained. "But cross the water and the current could take us, or I could kidnap Visenya and escape down the river."
"Good luck." Visenya and Brienne replied cooly.
"It's wonderful to watch you with these dilemmas." He chuckled. "Which will she choose?"
Visenya glanced to Brienne who nodded, informing the Princess that she made her decision. Brienne then shoved Jaime onto the bridge, and Visenya followed close behind with Maegor.
"A gambler at heart." He grinned. "I wouldn't have guessed."
"Be quick about it." Brienne ordered.
"I've got you covered." Visenya sighed, as she had her bow armed and ready to go, if they were attacked.
Once they reached the middle of the bridge, Jaime sat down, with his back to the wall, making Visenya widen her eyes in shock.
He started to exaggerate panting, and trying to catch his breath. "I need to rest."
Visenya rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"Get up." Brienne commanded.
"I have these, you know, on your feet when you walk too far. What do you call them?" He began, not moving from his spot. Visenya could spot the smugness in his voice from a mile away.
Brienne crossed her arms. "Get up now."
Jaime leaned his back against the wall.
"Corns." He answered. "I never used to get corns. Of course, I used to ride everywhere, not march around like a common foot soldier wearing the same shit boots for over a year."
Visenya rolled her eyes in annoyance and glanced up at the dragons flying overhead, ensuring that they were still nearby. Thankfully, they were. Brienne reached down, trying to pull him up, but Jaime, fought her.
"The heel is ruined. There's no way-"
Visenya saw the trick from a mile away. Jaime lunged toward Brienne, grabbed her sword, and took off running as far as he could before the rope stopped him. He then cut it, but looked down seeing that his hands are still bound, all while measuring the feel of the sword.
He chuckled. "I never understood why some knights felt the need to carry two swords."
Brienne took an aggressive stance in response, while Visenya lowered her bow and crossed her arms in annoyance.. He smiled greatly at the two of them. Brienne drew her other sword, and was prepared to fight him.
"Ooh. You move well for a great beast of a woman." He began. "Visenya, darling, I know how desperately you want to watch me die, but what I am about to do, will make you swoon."
Visenya rolled her eyes. "Doubt it."
Jaime then lunged again, allowing for both swords to clash.
"You shouldn't grimace before you lunge." He explained with a laugh. "It gives away the game.
He was on the offense once again, allowing for him to push Brienne back. Brienne however, counterattacking, but Jaime regained momentum. Spinning, the two switched placed.
Visenya, who was now leaning against the wall, looked down to Maegor, who in response looked back up to Visenya.
"Mittys. (Idiots.)" She spoke, and she could've swore Maegor nodded in agreement.
"Bit of a quandary for you." Jaime began. "If you kill me, you fail Lady Stark and the Princess. But if you don't kill me, I'm going to kill you."
He then attacked her again, and began to trade blows, allowing for this to now become a game of strength and leverage.
"You're good, graceless, but good."
Brienne the used the hilt to break out of the deadlock on Jaime's chains, allowing them to face off once again. This time however, Brienne went on the attack, she gained the advantage and knee'd him in the stomach
Visenya then stood up off the wall, and loaded her bow, and started walking towards the pair.
"See? If you were willing to hurt me, you might have had me there." Jaime began.
Jaime then spun, to increase the force, and began to drive Brienne back down the bridge. Both of their shoulders collided, and they began to pant heavily. He lunged toward her again, but instead, Brienne punched him in the jaw, reeling him into the bridge wall. Her next blow missed however, causing sparks along the wall.
Visenya in response, fired and arrow, that struck the wall, inches from both of their faces. They both pulled away from each other.
"If you are both finished acting like heathens, we have thousands of miles of terrain ahead of us." She spoke in annoyance, lowering her bow.
Just as Brienne was about to reply, the neigh of a horse, made everyone jump in suprise. Visenya tilted her head in confusion, before noticing the familiar banners.
"Locke." She practically whispered.
Locke looked around and smirked. "Looks like your woman's getting the better of you, if you can call that a woman."
"We enjoy a good fight. Gets our juices flowing." Jaime smiled. "The Flayed Man of House Bolton. A bit gruesome for my taste."
Locke looked behind him and gestured to Jaime. "You sure he's the one?"
The man whom they saw earlier, walked toward them and nodded.
"That's him, all right." The man began. "I saw him fight at the tourney for Ser Willem Frey's wedding."
Locke nodded. "Give the man his silver."
"Let us go and my father will pay you whatever you want." Jaime explained.
"Enough to buy me a new head?" Locke taunted. "If the King in the North hears I had the Kingslayer and let him go, he'll be taking it right off. I'd rather he takes yours. Besides, there's a far sweeter prize, standing right on this bridge. Isn't that right, Princess?"
A chill ran down Visenya's spine as Locke's men walked onto the bridge, and Maegor growled in response, but Visenya didn't command him to attack, as she was still frozen in place. Brienne and Jaime noticed how pale the girl went upon seeing Locke.
Something must've happened in the past, to make her this way.
The next few moments were a blur, and when Visenya finally snapped out of it, she realized that she was bound onto a horse, Maegor was in a cage, and Jaime and Brienne were bound on one another...and still bickering.
"I hope you're pleased." Jaime began. "If you had armed me, they never would have taken us."
"You were armed when we were taken." Brienne retorted.
He scoffed. "I was in chains if you recall. Our little match would have ended quite quick if my hands weren't bound."
"All my life I've been hearing, 'Jaime Lannister, what a brilliant swordsmen.' You were slower than I expected." Brienne explained. "And more predictable."
"I've been sitting in a muddy pen wrapped in chains for the past year." Jaime groaned.
Brienne nodded. "And I'm a woman. I was still beating you."
"You were not beating me."
"Maybe you were as good as people said once. Or maybe people just love to overpraise a famous name." Brienne smirked.
"When we make camp tonight, you'll be raped." Jaime began his jaw tightening. "More than once. None of these fellows have ever been with a noblewoman. You'd be wise not to resist."
Visenya closed her eyes as she felt a nother chill run down her spine, picturing what Locke would do to her, trying to ignore the flashbacks from coming back to her mind.
"Would I?" Brienne commented.
"They'll knock your teeth out."
She rolled her eyes. "You think I care about my teeth?"
"No, I don't think you care about your teeth. If you fight them, they will kill you. Do you understand? I'm the prisoner of value, not you. Let them have what they want. What does it matter?"
"What does it matter?" She asked.
"Close your eyes. Pretend they're Renly." He suggested.
"If you were a woman, you wouldn't resist? You'd let them do what they wanted?"
He sighed. "If I was a woman, I'd make them kill me. But I'm not, thank the gods."
The entire group was silent until they came to a camp. The three of them got taken off their horses, and got secured to a tree, and Visenya slowly glanced up. Aegonar and Sunspear were still circling. She smiled to herself, now all she had to do, was plan her escape.
Locke looked at his men. "Listen up men, this is how tonight is going to work. I'll take the big bitch first. When she's god and we, you can finish her off."
Brienne frowned in disgust and glanced to Visenya who was staring straight ahead.
Locke set his eyes on Visenya and smirked. "The Princess is MINE, and MINE alone. Do you understand? If someone tries to say a word to her, I will have your head."
He gestured for all but two men to leave, as he turned around and knelt down be at eye level with Visenya.
"Hello Visenya." He said wickedly. "Do you remember me?"
Visenya said nothing, but stared him down. Of course she remembered him. He tried to rape her when she was younger...and now, he was finally going to do it.
"I hear they call you The Queen of Dragons?" He asked innocently, running a finger down her face making her flinch away. "Where are your dragons now?"
Visenya spit in his face. Locke wiped it away in annoyance, before turning to his men with a smirk.
"Change of plans. Take The Queen of Dragons, to my tent...NOW! I've never fucked a Targaryen before." He ordered.
The two men started to walk toward Visenya. Jaime began to kick his way out of the knot, tying him to the tree.
"No!" He screamed. "She's done nothing wrong! She doesn't deserve this! If you lay a hand on her - if a scratch is on her face I'll-"
One of Locke's men punched him in the face, as the other roughly grabbed Visenya.
"You'll what?" Locke taunted. "Call your Daddy, so he can give me a lecture? Where's your sword now, Kingslayer. So much love, for the daughter of the man you earned your title from."
The two men grabbed Visenya and practically dragged her towards Locke's tent. Brienne and Jaime had fearful looks in their eyes as they saw Locke enter the tent, allowing for the two men to exit. Brienne noticed a small tear run down Jaime's cheek, as they heard both the screams, and various Valyrian insults and slurs they knew could only be from Visenya.
"I failed her." Brienne murmured. "I failed the Princess."
Jaime shook his head. "You didn't...I did."
Two hours later, Locke walked out of the tent with a satisfied smirk, before he walked into another tent. The two men then walked back in the tent, and practically began dragging a body out. Jaime's eyes widened in shock.
"No." He murmured.
As they got closer, he noticed that while Visenya was still alive, she was in shock. Her eyes were wide, her cheeks were stained with tears, and blood was splattered all over her face and body. She had cuts over her arms, and bruises were beginning to form around her neck. They threw her down on the ground, before roughly pushing her against the tree, and tying her back to it.
As Jaime and Brienne looked to her, they noticed she hadn't stopped shaking since they let go of her. She was in shock. She was going catatonic.
"Senya?" Jaime asked, knowing she answered to that name. "Visenya?"
But she didn't answer, she just stared off. Locke had finally got what he wanted. What he wanted to do, all those years ago. Locke then started walking over to them, and ushered for his men to grab Brienne. Brienne then began to scream in protest as they grabbed her and began to drag her to a tree.
Visenya didn't even flinch.
"Your father, he'd pay your weight in gold to get you back?" Locke asked Jaime, ignoring the pleas and screams of Brienne.
Jaime nodded. "You'll be a rich man till the end of your days. And your sons will be rich men and their sons after them. Lands, titles- you'll have them all. The North can't win this war. You're a smart man. You understand that. We have the numbers. We have the gold."
Locke nodded. "Aye, you have both."
"Fighting bravely for a losing cause is admirable." Jaime mused. "Fighting for a winning cause is far more rewarding."
Locke nodded again. "Hard to argue with that."
"Now that we're speaking together man to man, I wonder if you need to keep me chained to this tree. I'm not asking to be freed from my constraints, but if I could sleep lying down, my back would thank you for it. I'm not as young and resilient as I was once." Jaime explained.
"None of us are." Locke smiled, but Visenya knew that smile all too well. He used the same smile on her years ago. "Unchain Ser Jaime from the tree."
The men then unchained Jaime.
"Suppose you'll be wanting something to eat?" Locke asked
He nodded "I'm famished, actually."
I think we've got a spare partridge on the fire.
Jaime smirked. "Well, I do like partridge."
Locke helped the man up and walked him over to a large stump.
"Bring the bird over here and the carving knife." Locke ordered. "Will this work as a table, my lord?"
Jaime nodded with a small smile "Oh, yes, this will do-"
Immediately his smile dropped and rage overcame him. He threw a punch at Locke's jaw, sending him tumbling back, and before Locke could counter, he punched him again, knocking him to the ground, as Jaime climbed on top of him, while he continuously landed blow after blow to Locke...in the face.
"That. Is. For. Hurting. Visenya." He said after each blow was given.
That sheer instance, made Visenya's eyes widen in shock and disbelief, snapping out of her trance as she watched four men pry Jaime off of Locke and place his right hand...his sword hand, on the stump. While she couldn't hear what they were saying, she saw words were being exchanged before Locke sliced off Jaime's hand making him scream in pain. Simultaneously, Brienne was still trying to fight off men.
That's when Visenya decided to do what she thought of earlier, when they first arrived.
"Ninkiot!" She screamed loud enough, making all eyes land on her in confusion.
Jaime, from his spot, on the stump, frowned as the placed his hand...now severed from his arm, around his neck.
"What did you just say?" Locke ordered to Visenya.
Visenya smirked in response. "Ninkiot."
"What the fuck does that mean?" He asked.
Her smirk grew. "Land."
That's when all of Locke's men looked up in disbelief as they saw two dark shadows, cast above them. Just as she predicted, Aegonar and Sunspear landed in front of Locke. Locke looked in disbelief at the two creatures standing before him.
"You wanted to see my dragons Locke?" She taunted. "Here they are."
Locke shook with fear as he turned to his men. "ATTACK THEM! ATTACK THE DRAGONS!"
"Angōtōs. (Attack.)" Visenya ordered, attacking the men within Locke's camp.
With all the men attacking the two dragons, Brienne was able to get Visenya untied from the tree.
"I have failed you, Princess." She began.
Visenya shook her head. "No. I have failed you, please find Maegor."
Eventually, all of the men were killed, except for Locke, just how Visenya wanted it. He was hiding in his tent, covered in blood potentially his own, or Jaime's and once Brienne had found Maegor (alive and well), she brought him out, he begged for mercy.
"Please, Princess. Please." Locke begged. "I won't kill you, I swear."
She raised her eyebrows and looked over her shoulder to see Jaime being held up by Brienne. She exchanged a somber look to him and sighed, before turning back to look at Locke.
"Funny, because when I begged you to not harm me all of those years ago, you ignored me. You may have finally got to rape me, but you will never, get my mercy." She sneered at him.
She then turned towards Brienne and Jaime and began to walk away.
"Robb Stark will kill you for killing my men!" He screamed. "I'll tell him what you did."
She turned to look over her shoulder. "No you won't...because you'll already be dead."
Locke frowned in confusion. Brienne ushered Jaime back, knowing what was going to happen.
"Drakarys." Visenya ordered, allowing for both dragons to step forward, and burn Locke to the ground.
His screams were music to Visenya's ears, and Jaime, being out of it the entire time, only perked up to see Visenya standing before a burning Locke, a small smile on her face. Once the dragons, knew Locke wouldn't survive, they stopped burning him, allowing the flames to consume him. She then ordered them to fly.
"Get him to the edge of the tent." Visenya ordered. "I'll get us some horses."
"Where are we going?" Brienne asked.
"Harrenhal...we are going to pay Roose Bolton a visit." Visenya explained, anger furiously in her eyes.
