I do not own.
"You okay?" Beverly asked Caesar.
"Fine." He answered unconvincingly.
"You know if you don't want to go on the ride you don't have to." Beverly told him.
"No, no, I want to go." He rubbed his sweaty palms on his vest. "I mean the Research Pod goes faster than this ride and I survived the time it sped 5 years into the future. I mean sure, I threw up afterwards and had a horrible migraine, not to mention being disoriented hours afterwards, but I survived."
"Caesar, you don't have to go. I won't think any less of you." Beverly insisted.
"I would." Rex called from the front. Circe smacked him over the head.
"No, I promised to go on the ride with you and I will." He said resolutely.
Just then, a car from the ride passed overhead, terrified screams grew and faded in an instant.
Caesar paled. "I will ride this montaña rusa del inferno. I am fine."
Beverly patted his arm comfortingly. "Sure."
They line moved a fraction. Caesar looked around frantically.
"It looks like rain. Maybe they will have to close the ride." Caesar said as he looked at the sky.
"What are you talking about bro? There's not a cloud in the sky." Rex exclaimed.
"There's one cloud." He pointed at it.
"What? That Itty bitty thing? It's like a million miles away." Rex protested.
Beverly hushed him. "Leave him alone. He's just a little nervous. He's never been on these rides before."
"Oh come on, his Research Pod is way more intense than any of these rides." Rex scoffed. "It's just in his head."
"Well, I don't see what's so amusing about a ride that makes people scream." Caesar grumbled.
"It's fun. You get an adrenaline rush and it's just awesome." Beverly explained.
"I can get adrenaline rushes that don't require me to hang upside down 40 stories in the air." Caesar retorted.
"Yeah, but you know as a scientist you can only truly know an experience if you live it yourself." Rex reminded him.
"I don't have to live through the flu to know it's bad." Caesar countered.
"You can still back out." Beverly pointed out.
"I can do this." Caesar said stubbornly.
The line moved again. Caesar looked at the cloud again. He got an idea. He pulled out his smart phone. He began typing away furiously.

In Caesar's workshop, a robotic arm activated. It moved to the computer and began entering code. Suddenly his lab came alive. A ray gun attached to tank tracks lifted it's barrel. Spinning around it rolled to the doors which slid opened for it. It rolled out and down the hall. Grunts had to flatten themselves against the wall to avoid being run over. It came to a split in the hallway. Aiming left and right it rolled right. It made its way to the elevator banks. When it arrived a few agents were in the area but they were oblivious of the new arrival. The ray gun seemed to look around. Then it rolled to the elevator and pressed the up button. It waited a second and then pressed it again. When it did not immediately come it pressed it again in rapid succession. Finally, it came and the gun rolled into the elevator. It pressed the button for the roof. A grunt stared at it. The ray gun nodded at him. The grunt nodded back uncertainly. The door opened and the grunt sprinted out. The ray gun pressed the closed button and waited as the elevator brought it to the roof. It rolled out onto the roof of Providence. Lifting its barrel it saw the satellite dish. It then rolled to the control panel and aimed the dish in a certain direction. Then it shot a ray at the satellite. The satellite immediately sent the ray to another satellite in orbit which shot the ray back to earth. As it closed in on the rain cloud over the rollercoaster, a plane happened to fly in its path. The ray bounced off and hit another cloud 100 meters away. The cloud expanded and began to rain. It happened to be right where Peter Meechum was outside having a picnic with his daughter. Sarah was getting ice cream from the ice cream truck. Oddly enough, it rained no where else, except on Meechum. Other picnickers moved away from him.
"I don't know how, but I know this is Caesar's fault!" He grumbled.
The ray gun lowered its barrel sheepishly. It quickly rolled back to the elevator and back to the lab.

"What are you looking for, Caesar?" Beverly asked.
"Nothing." He quickly answered.
"Well, it's our turn." Beverly grabbed his hand.
"Already?" He asked alarmed.
"Come on!" She laughed as she pulled him into a seat.
"Wait! I just thought of something I have to do." Caesar cried as the bar lowered over his shoulder. The attendant ignored him as he checked to make sure he was buckled in.
The cars pulled along the track slowly. It then made a quick drop before going straight.
"That wasn't so baaaaad!" The car made another sudden drop. This time, however, the drop was longer. It swooped down twisted, rose and dropped again. Caesar didn't even have time to yell. In fact he was quite silent throughout the ride. Beverly was screaming her lungs out. Rex and Circe likewise was laughing with their arms raised as they were thrown around.
When the ride finally pulled to the station and the bars lifted, Caesar looked comatose.
"Caesar? You okay?" Beverly asked with concern. She was going to ask again when there was no response but then he blinked several times before he realized that they had stopped. He looked at Beverly.
"That… was… amazing!" He cried jumping up so fast that he hit his head on the bar. "We have to do that again!" He said excitedly.
"I knew you'd like it." Beverly screamed.
"Yes, yes. But first…" He stumbled over to the trash bin. Lifting the cover he puked inside. He replaced the cover. "Okay let's go!" He ran to the exit. When Beverly caught up to him, he was on line already.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Beverly asked.
"Of course. Now that my stomach is empty, there will be nothing left to regurgitate this time around." He said.
"Okay… ewww." Beverly said.
"You were right the adrenaline rush is like nothing I've ever felt." He said.
"Told you." Beverly smiled.
"But it wasn't like the rush you get when you make a scientific discovery or when you solve a power router problem." Caesar babbled.
"Uh huh." Beverly agreed uncertainly.
"There is actual a physiological change when all the blood rushes to your head!" He exclaimed. "We must ride this several more times to see if the effects are the same each time!"
"Right?" Beverly was beginning to see that she had created a monster.
"I wonder what happened to my cloud seeder?" He said unexpectedly.
"What?" Beverly asked startled.
"Nothing." Caesar said quickly. "I'm glad it didn't rain though."
Beverly laughed. "I don't think that was ever a problem."
Caesar nervously laughed. "Right no problema."
After a moment, Caesar pulled Beverly close to him. "Thank you for talking me into this."
"You're welcome." She put her head against his chest.
How come I'm not updating Season 8? Because it's harder to write than these short one shots. I am working on it. I have half of it written. My problem is the insane amount of work I have to do plus the problems I have weighing on my mind leaves me little time and energy. I hope you guys will stick with me.
