was not every day an ordinary town got the chance to get what is considered a historical landmark...and yet, Royal Woods managed to get itself exactly that. Overlooking the ocean was a brand new Titan's Tower, meant to be the brand new home and headquarters of the new Teen Titans. Damian, Donna, Raven, Lincoln, Lucy, and Haiku all found themselves at the front of the Tower's base, with someone coming to greet them. Straight out of Tamaran, was one of the original Titans, Koriand'r, aka, Starfire.
"Welcome, new recruits of mine." She said as she faced the young heroes. "It is a great honor to be chosen as the mentor for the next generation of Titans."
"I can't believe we're actually meeting a real Titan!" Lincoln exclaimed, acting like a giddy fan. "It should be considered a great honor to be here with you!"
Starfire got a smile from the young Kryptonian. She already saw lots of potential from the siblings."
"Been there, done that." Robin said in a deadpan tone with his arms crossed. But soon after, was everyone giving him the stink eye for his rather rude statement.
"Must you be rude in every universe?" Raven asked, with Robin turning to glare at her? "It's bad enough that you're a jerk."
"Look who's talking, human sacrifice spawn." The Wayne son remarked and Raven brought her extra pair of eyes, which glowed red as they both looked ready to rip each other apart.
Everyone quickly got in between and made sure to rip them apart before things get physical.
"Okay!" Starfire exclaimed before this could escalate. "How about we have a tour of the place? Get you all settled in?"
That was something they could all agree on as they headed inside and Starfire showed them around. The Tower was built with some of the specifications of the original design with a few new things for each new individual member. The main living room and kitchen were the first thing to see, along with quarters for each member, all of them having a space of their own now that suited each and every one of them.
"This is definitely nostalgic for me." Starfire remarked. "Each of you will be living as I live, having room of your own and being free to roam about. Just don't destroy anything."
"No promises." Lucy replied with everyone looking at her suspiciously. The rest of the Tower was pretty normal, with extra living quarters, a gymnasium/training room, a medical bay, a basement for storage, a garage for any ground-based vehicles, a launching bay for an aerial transport ship, an evidence room, game room and even a laundry room. If it was anything else, it would be a hotel.
"This place is amazing." Haiku said as they found themselves on the roof of the place, overlooking the town behind them and the body of water behind them. "Definitely a nice view from up here."
"I like it." Raven also said as it reminded her of her original home.
"I'm glad that this place is beneficial to you all." said Starfire. "It certainly reminds me of when I was with my friends. Now today, you will just settle in and tomorrow, we will-"
But she didn't have a chance to finish as something started beeping. To this day, Starfire kept her old Titan's communicator incase there was an emergency; she had it connected to the new tower's computer just to be on the safe side. Hearing this made everyone rush back into the living room, where Starfire brought on screen the most recent situation. An explosion at the Royal Woods mall just occurred, and it was definitely no accident as the sound of people screaming from gunfire was dead giveaway that this was an attack.
"Scanners show that some large obstruction just crashed through the roof of the place and now several individuals shooting up the place." Starfire stages
"Supervillains?"
"None that are known. But they seem to have similarities to some of the more famous."
"Looks like settling in will have to wait." Robin says. "Let's do this."
Before they departed to deal with the situation, Star halted them and left them with a lesson.
"You must understand that as a team, you must not get in the way of each other. Frustration and distraction is what leads to defeat."
"You needn't worry, Kori." Donna reassured. "We've displayed to work with one another."
"And some us already have experience working with teams." Raven added. "I'm sure we'll know what to do."
With Kori turning to look at Lincoln, Haiku and Lucy, the white-haired boy looked at his sister and friend before turning back to Starfire and saying "...We'll try and keep up."
Starfire had a smirk after hearing that before saying "Good luck. And stay safe."
And with that, all the kids depart in their own way. Starfire fought the urge to go after them, knowing that she needed to have faith in her new trainees if this program was to succeed. She was only a little older than they were when she started the hero business and those memories were something she'd treasure for the rest of her life.
Meanwhile, at the mall, while mayhem and chaos was running rampant throughout the main halls, Leni and some of her friends were able to hide in the bathroom, which was surprisingly holding well while the rest of the mall was shaking and could collapse in any moment.
"L-Leni?!" Her friend, Mandee, alongside Jackie, said "W-We're gonna be okay, right?"
"Honestly, I don't know..." Leni couldn't lie. She was terrified right now. And was hoping that this would either stop or someone would come to save them soon.
But while she and her friends were hiding, Lincoln and the rest of the team appeared in the damaged Mall and looked around to see they were dealing with.
"Alright, evildoers! Who wants a clobbering first?" He said, trying to sound heroic.
Robin looked at as if he was serious.
"You're gonna have to work in your quips when we get back." He remarked, getting another stink eye from Lincoln.
"That was a good one and you know it!"
But then, they were interrupted when the person who was behind the attack made themselves known. Chandler in a giant, green, mechanized suit stood in front of the team and stared down at them with an evil smile on his face.
"Bird Boy's right, ya know." He said. "If that's the best one-line you got, you ain't gonna make it far as a hero, Larry!"
"Chandler?! What are you doing?!" Lincoln ask, surprised by this.
"I'm doing a little renovating, curtesy of my father's company."
"What do your parents have to do with this?!"
"My real dad! Lex Luthor! He's looking to redesign this one-horse town, as well as get his hands on the two of you!" He points to Lincoln and Lucy, the former still being in shock of all this.
"Your dad is Lex Luthor?! How does that make any sense!"
"Shut up, Larry! We happen to know that you're the children of Superman, but it doesn't matter! Nothing you do will be able to beat us!"
"What do you mean by us?" Robin asked...before getting blasted away from where he stood. Coming out of the shadows were the rest of the kids Luthor and Joker recruited. JJ, Rosy, and Sphinx standing before Chandler in a menacing stature.
"Get a loud of us, Larry!" McCann shouted. "And bow down the Junior Devision of the Legion of Doom!"
"...I'm not impressed." Donna said in a deadpanned before going after Rosy, tackling the child of Harley and Ivy. JJ pulled out a chain and hook from out of nowhere and throw it at the other heroes. The quickly dodged out of the way before Rave decided to use her magic and telepathic send him back.
"I got the clown boy." She said, "You can have the nerd." And with that, she flew off, leaving the heroes from Royal Woods to deal with Young Riddler of Great Lakes.
"Stop me if you've heard this one before." Sphinx said as she was holding up a black rocket launcher covered in green question marks painted on "What is that you and I have, but you're soon to-"
She didn't get a chance to finish, a spray of water sent her
"I'll take care of her. You guys handle that jerk" She says as she goes to handle Sphinx. The two siblings were left alone to deal with Chandler, who was still in his mech.
"Don't even try it!" He yelled out. "My dad already knows how to deal with the likes of you!" And that is when he raised his mech arms, which opened up to reveal some sort of cannons. They fired green streams of Kryptonite, intended to blast Lincoln and Lucy as they held their ground, crossed their arms in front of themselves and took the shot with all that they are. Chandler smiled, thinking it was all to easy to have taken them down...only to be in shock to see that they were still standing.
"What the-?!" He exclaimed before Lincoln and Lucy nodded at each other before taking off like speeding bullets, flying around his mechanized suit, and began pulverizing it. Chandler soon found himself on the ground and his suit was now in several piles of scrap metal. And that's when he looked to see that his own team weren't doing as well as he hoped, since Donna already made short work of Rosy, who didn't even get a chance to do anything. Rave could've easily taken down JJ, but Damian stole the moment and knocked the clown boy out with his staff. Haiku basically waterlogged Sphinx to the point where she was nearly drowning, and that just left him where he stood. Realising that he was out of his league here, Chandler knew that there was only one thing left to do!
"Retreat!" He called out. "Fall back and retreat!" And that is when he got back on his feet, started running away from the siblings...and it turns out that he was wearing jetpack which he used to make his escape while the others head back into the shadows before the others could apprehend them.
"Always the coward, Chandler." Lincoln remarked before hearing a door turning and looking to see Leni coming out of hiding.
"Lincoln! Lucy!" She cried out before running over to her former little brother and sister, embracing them both. She returned much the same as anyone else who was hiding was coming as well. Looking back into the sky where Chandler took off, Lincoln knew that this was only the beginning...
Meanwhile, in Great Lake City, Ronnie Anne was walking down the street, seeing the news on her phone when she heard something rattling in the alleyway.
"Huh?" She said, turning to the direction of the noise, but finding nothing. "Is someone there?"
It wasn't someone, but someTHING coming out as Ronnie Anne lowered her head to see a small little blue automaton crawling towards her, looking friendly.
"Oh, hey there little guy." She said, cooing it. "You lost or something?"
Little did know the significance of the object. One of the greatest weapons in the universe...the Scarab.
