Waluigi watched as the Nintendo 64 logo continued walking on the beach, sighing as he finished making his several batches of tacos. Toadette gleefully ran up to Waluigi, being more cheerful than usual.
"Ahh, there you are kid. Haven't seen ya in a while." Waluigi commented as he stretched his arms, folding them together shortly afterwards. "You seem more cheerful than usual. What's up?"
"What's up!?" Toadette exclaimed as she spun around cheerfully, holding Waluigi's hands. "It's the tenth anniversary of Double Dash!"
"...Double Dash?" Waluigi gawked as he rubbed his chin with his right hand, his eyes widening as he realized what Toadette meant. "Oh... right..."
"Don't you like Double Dash, Wally?" Toadette asked as she placed her hands behind her back, smiling innocently. "It was fun times, and it was my debut!"
"...Yeah, but it's been a while since we actually raced on those tracks." Waluigi mumbled as he moved his hands about. "I mean, if you want to do a quick race or something, I'm down."
"Oh boy! I knew you couldn't resist!" Toadette gleefully exclaimed as she grabbed Waluigi by the arm, snacking on a taco as she ran eastward, with Waluigi being dragged.
Later, with the taco stand closed for the night, Toadette and Waluigi were racing against each other in the glamorous Mushroom City, with Toadette coasting on the sturdy Barrel Train with Paratroopa while Waluigi was in the golden Parade Kart with Petey Piranha, the place looking better than it had in years.
