Eternal Gaiden 16: Hope for a Better Tomorrow
After the battle against the Elementals, the Kamen Rider, their friends, and loved ones returned to Arzenal.
Those who were injured were treated by the doctors and nurses in Maggie's hospital. While Kyoya on the other hand was being examined by both Maggie and Gecko to make sure he's truly cured from his disease.
"Hmmm…" Dr. Gecko said as she placed her hand on his forehead while Maggie was checking his heart rate through her machines. "Good, your fever is normal. No signs of it being hate or cold."
"Not to mention your heart rate is on normal parameters. But it's probably best to give you an x-ray next." Maggie said.
"Come on you two, is this even necessary? I feel fine all things considered." Kyoya told the doctors.
"Even so, we can't be sure if your heart disease has left any traces behind. Do you want to worry your princess again?" Maggie asked and Kyoya flinches before he rubs the back of his head.
"N-No, I don't…" Kyoya mutters.
"Good. And you should know while you were sleeping, Salamandinay-sama hadn't left your side. I expect you to give her a thousand apologies when you see her again." Dr. Gecko told him.
"I will, don't worry." Kyoya told her.
"Good." Dr. Gecko said before she sadly frowned. "But...I'm sorry for what happened to Sei. Future Sei, I mean."
Kyoya lowered his head in sadness. "Yeah, it was hard to see him vanish like that. He sacrificed so much for us, to give us a better tomorrow."
"He must have gotten it from both you and Salamandinay." Maggie said before she slapped him on the back, which caused him to flinch as he rubs it. "Also keep your chin up boy! It's not like you won't see him again, you'll still get to see Sei grow up into the young man you've said goodbye to. At least this time he'll have both parents in his life to watch over him."
"Maggie-san…" Kyoya said before he smiled and nodded. "Yeah, you're right."
"That's good to hear. You're a man so you should start acting like it." Maggie said.
"Agree. Also, just hang on a little longer. We just need to perform a few more checks, just in case." Dr. Gecko told him.
"Okay, okay, I got it." Kyoya said as they let them do their checks on him.
In Cafe Ange, Ange is seen holding her son, Van, in her arms as he was sleeping soundly as she smiles at him and Tusk was seated beside her as he was looking at him as well.
"Man...after everything that happened, just seeing this little guy sleep in my arms helped blow that tension away." Ange said.
"Yeah...Though I'm still a little guilty of not coming with you to fight. I'm sorry, Ange." Tusk said.
"Hey, Tusk, you shouldn't say that." Ange told him. "I was the one who told you to say to watch over, Van. If anyone should be sorry, it should be me."
"Ange…" Tusk mutters before he chuckles. "You know, you really have changed after we've first met."
"Hey, what is that supposed to mean?" Ange asked as she was offended by that, and Tusk chuckled before Ange started to chuckle as well.
But then they both stopped chuckling as they had a saddened expression on their faces.
"But...It's still sad what happened to Sei." Tusk said. "Do you think that Kyoya and Salamandinay-san will be alright?"
"I'm not sure...But knowing those two, I'm sure they'll be okay." Ange told him.
"I hope so." Tusk said as he tickled his son's cheek which caused Van to giggle.
Sala is seen outside of the Cafe sitting on a chair with a table beside her, as she was holding her son, Sei, in her arms as she had a sad smile on her face as the disappearance of Future Sei was still fresh in her mind.
"Sala!" Sala's eyes widened as she looked and saw Kyoya waving at her as he walked to her.
"Kyoya!" Sala said as she quickly stood up and ran up to her husband as she placed her hand on his body. "Are you alright? What did the doctors say?"
"Well...They still need to do a few more checks on me. But overall, they found no traces of the disease. So there's no reason to worry." Kyoya assured her and Sala sighed in relief.
"Thank goodness…" Sala mutters.
Now both Kyoya and Sala were seated together as they both watched over Sei as Kyoya was holding him in his arms. As he did Kyoya smiles at his baby son as he giggles at him.
"Man...Hard to believe this little guy will grow into a fine young man. And it was mostly thanks to you." Kyoya told her.
"Well, I wouldn't say that. I'm sure I've gotten a lot of help in that." Sala told him as she gently rubs her son's head. "But it's sad what happened to the future version of him. He sacrificed so much for us asking nothing in return."
"Yeah...But Maggie told me, we shouldn't be still sad about it. We might not be able to see Kamen Rider Seiryuu again, but we'll at least see Future Sei again soon. And this time, he'll have both parents watching over him." Kyoya told her.
"I guess that's true. But still, 18 years is still a long time." Sala said.
"Yeah, but it will be worth it. Especially to see Sei growing up by each of those years." Kyoya told her.
"I suppose that's true." Sala said before they both smiled at each other and then smiled at their baby son, as they were looking forward to seeing him grow up as they will raise him together.
"Kyoya…" Sala mutters getting his attention. "Do you think Future Sei is happy where...or whenever he is?"
"He better be. After the sacrifice he made for us, it better be worth it." Kyoya told her.
Future Sei is seen sleeping in a dark abyss before he heard a voice calling out his name.
"Sei...Sei...Sei…"
Sei's eyes twitched as he began to wake up and the first thing he saw was the bright blue sky. Sei blinks to see the sky before he slowly sits up and looks at the landscape around him, there was beautiful and lush green grass all around him and spotted a few trees and flowers, and a blue shining lake all the field of grass.
"This is…?" Sei mutters as he wonders how he got here.
"Finally up, sleepy head?" Said a familiar voice to Sei as his eyes widened as he recognized it.
He then turns to his side and sees Alektra wearing a white dress sitting beside him.
"Alektra...you're here…" Sei mutters.
"Yeah, of course I am. Why wouldn't I be?" Alektra asked in confusion before her eyes widened. "Oh no, Sei is something wrong?"
"Huh?" Sei said as he saw that he was shedding tears as he touched his face. Sei then begins to wipe away his tears. "I don't know...for some reason, I'm so happy to see you."
Alektra blinks in confusion before she sighed.
"I swear, you're always such a crybaby. But that's one of the reasons why I love you so much." Alektra told him, and Sei blinks in confusion.
"Y-You do?" Sei asked and Alektra pouted to hear that.
"Mou...is that anyway to speak to your girlfriend?" Alektra asked.
"Oh...I'm sorry…" Sei mutters as he lowered his head before Alektra hugs him as she smiles.
"It's alright. I was only teasing you." Alektra said before she let's go. "Now, are you going to sleep here all day? Our friends are waiting for us."
"Our friends?" Sei repeated.
"Hey, Sei! Alektra!" Both Sei and Alektra turned and to Sei's shock he saw his friends Van and Katsumi wearing different clothes as they were waving at them.
And it wasn't just them he saw Vivian and Mei with them, and not only that he saw older versions of their friends with them, along with Tusk, Ange, Ken, Salia, Hayate, and Kaname, now older and living with them.
Sei sheds a tear to see them before he sees two certain people walking between their friends as they smile and wave at Sei, and it was his parents now alive in this new timeline.
"Come on, Sei! We're waiting for you!" Kyoya told his son.
"We can't start without you!" Sala told him.
"Tou-san...Kaa-san…" Sei mutters to see them together.
Alektra stood up and offered his hand to him.
"Let's go. They're waiting for us." Alektra told him and Sei wipes his tears as he nodded and accepted her hand as he stood up and soon they ran to their friends and family to join them, to live happily in this new future he helped create.
