This Gaiden will be based around chapter 18 of season 2 of my Wizard story, where Miku learns about the people Shido had helped and even saved as a Kamen Rider.
Wizard Gaiden 1: The People that Shido had help
"Hey, Rinne-san, Koyomi-san." Miku calls out getting the said girls' attention. "You said that Shido-san is the kind of person who would save total strangers, even if they reject his help, right?"
"Yes." Both Rinne and Koyomi nodded before Miku turned to them.
"Tell me more about that." Miku said.
Rinne, Yoshino, and the Yamai twins hummed in thought as they remembered the times when Shido had saved and helped many people.
"Hmmm…That's a tough one." Rinne said. "Shido helped many people so it's hard to keep track of them. Oh, but he did save me."
"He did?" Miku asked, and Rinne nodded
"Yeah. A while back I was attacked by this monster called a Phantom, and it drove me to despair. Just when I was about to give up, Shido was there to save me by giving me hope." Rinne said as she remembered the time Shido had saved her as Wizard. "And he saved another friend of ours by doing the same."
"Oh…and he also saved me too." Koyomi said and Miku turned to her.
"How so?" Miku asked.
"You see…Onee-sama…" Koyomi said as it still feels weird to call her that. "A long time ago, me and Shido were involved in a Phantom ritual and we were the only survivors. But in that process I lost my memories, I don't know who I was and where I came from, all I could remember was my name. I was also in despair in that time, but Shido was there to help me and taught me to live in the present."
Miku frowns to hear that before she turns to the three Spirits under her control.
"What about you three?" She asked.
Yoshino was the first to answer that question.
"Well…I was kidnapped by this bad man." Yoshino said before that she remembered that time Orma had kidnapped her and how Shido helped save her from him and from the AST. "I was really lost and afraid, and I didn't have Yoshinon with me. But, Shido-san risked his life to bring her to me."
"Man…talk about your cliches with that. But it does sound similar to us, don't you agree, Yuzuru?" Kaguya asked her sister, and she nodded in agreement.
"Agreement: You can say that again." Yuzuru said before they remember that moment when they first met Shido, how he interrupted their duel and how they dragged him along with their latest challenge.
"I see. So he basically uses his powers to save only women to win their affection. Typical of a man." Miku said.
"That's not true. Shido saves anyone regardless if they're a man or a woman." Rinne told her, surprising Miku as she turned to her.
"What?" Miku said.
"Yes! It's true." Koyomi said, getting Miku's attention. "This one time, Shido helped this pianist named Takagi."
"Oh yeah, him." Rinne said as she and Koyomi remembered how Shido had protected and helped Takagi despite rejecting his help and even mocked the Ringed Mage. "I remember that he rejected Shido's help back then. He even mocked him for losing against the Phantom once."
"Wow…He sounds like a total jerk." Kaguya said.
Miku narrows her eyes to hear that.
"Who else did he help?" Miku asked.
Rinne hummed as she thought about it.
"Let's see…Oh, he saved this boy named Naoki one time." Rinne said as she remembers Shido saving Naoki after he had fallen into despair. "He fell into despair after learning what happened to his father, but Shido managed to save him."
"Yeah. He was also close to someone named Kizaki, he was like an older brother to Naoki." Koyomi said. "At first, Kizaki saw Shido as a monster and thought he was dangerous. But despite that, Shido still saves Naoki anyway, because that's who he is."
"Yeah, that does sound like Shido alright." Kaguya said.
"Agreement: Indeed so." Yuzuru said.
"And it was thanks to that, Shido managed to win Kizaki's trust. He even gave him a magic stone that he was planning on using himself." Koyomi said.
"So he only did those things for the reward?" Miku asked in suspicion.
"No." Rinne shook her head. "Shido only helps people because he wants to. He never asked for a reward or anything like that."
Hearing that surprised Miku.
"What? That can't be true! He must want something out of it! Like admiration or even money!" Miku said.
"No, it's true…Onee-sama." Koyomi said. "Shido only fights to protect people, regardless if they're a Gate or not. He never asked for anything in return for it."
"Yeah. He'll protect just about anyone, even if they're a thief or a two-time liar." Rinne said.
"Wow. I never knew Itsuka-kun was so cool." Ai said.
"He's beyond cool. He's totally awesome." Mai said.
"Maji hiku wa." Mii said.
"Reminder: Let's not forget about that Shiho woman." Yuzuru said.
"Oh…She was beyond annoying…I could still hear her crying and complaining." Kaguya said.
"Tiresome: I get a headache just thinking about it." Yuzuru said as she placed a hand on her head.
Miku slams her hands on the table as she stood which caused her mind-controlled slaves to flinch as they turned to her.
"I'm going to take a shower!" Miku said before she leaves the dining room while her servants and Koyomi watch her leave.
"That doesn't look good. Do you think we upset her?" Rinne asked Koyomi.
"I'm…not sure." Koyomi said.
'But I hope that hearing all of that got through to her.' Koyomi thought in secret.
As Miku was walking in the hallway, she was tick-off after hearing all those stories about Shido saving people.
"It doesn't make sense…It doesn't make sense…It doesn't make sense! Aaahhh!" Miku stops as she rubs her hands on her head. "Why does he even bother with all that?! Why bother saving a bunch of strangers when you get nothing out of it?!"
Miku then lowered her before she turned to the large windows beside her, and in a long distance she could see the lights and explosions of a battle going on.
Miku figured that Shido might be in the middle of that battle to save Tohka from DEM. She then remembers Shido's words when they last met in that dark space that Kurumi had dragged them in.
"That's what men mean when they say a girl's 'important' to them. Or are you saying you value Tohka-san's life over yours?"
"Of course I am! I'll save her, no matter what, whatever it takes. Then I'll come back here. So, Miku, can you wait here quietly without causing more damage?"
Miku grits her teeth to remember that before she made her decision.
"Alright then, fine. If you're that serious about what you said, then I'll just have to expose you for the fraud you really are." Miku said as she plans to go save Tohka as well, only to see if Shido is truly what the others said he is.
There you have it, I hope that you like it. Please review to tell me what you think.
