The festive Tenkaichi Budokai has safely come to an end. And the gang is now ready to once again go their separate ways.

"Are you guys going to go back and continue your training now?" Yamcha asks the turtle school trio.

"No, ai believe I have taught you three all that I can teach," Roshi said. "Now you all should go down your own paths! Continue your training on your own. Joining Fairy Tail is a good starting point for you boys."

"Woah really?" Krillin asks.

"I'm sure Mackie would be glad to have you three, am I right?" Roshi asks Makarov.

"I don't see why not. We'd be glad to have you boys at our guild." Makarov told them.

"Awesome!" Natsu shouts.

"Actually, I'm gonna have to wait on that." Goku piped up. "I'm gonna go find my grandpa's Dragon Ball!"

Natsu and Krillin looked at Goku with surprise while the others from Fairy Tail were wondering what he meant. They heard him and Natsu mention Dragon Balls before.

"Are you seriously going to look for those again?!" Bulma asks.

"Yeah, and I can't even get in some training! It's perfect!" Goku said. "Nimbus!" The bright yellow cloud zipped down from the sky and Goku hopped on with a grin.

"Wait, so you're not gonna come with us?" Natsu said a little disappointed.

"Hey don't worry after I get the Four Star Ball, I promise I'll join the guild," Goku reassured. This lightened Natsu's mood and the two of them gave each other a fist bump. "See ya later guys!" Goku flies off into the distance.

The group then went their separate ways. Bulma, Yamcha, Puar, and Oolong drove back to West City, Roshi caught a flight back to his island, and the others got on a flight to Magnolia. As Natsu suffers from his motion sickness Makarov explains to the two boys that they can stay at the male dormitory.

Once they reached the guild Krillin and Natsu got settled with their new group of friends as they talked about the tournament matches. "You guys were awesome in the tournament!" Cana said.

"Yeah we were awesome, we're almost unbeatable!" Natsu said.

"I don't know about that, you did lose to Goku." Gray sneered.

"Oh yeah? Well, I didn't see you fight in the tournament!" Natsu retorted. "Besides you're no match for me anyway!"

Gray got up from his seat and began butting heads with Natsu, "You wanna say that again Flame-Brain?! How about we fight right now!"

"Oh, I'm all for it popsicle!" Natsu and Gray almost began fighting before Erza bashed both of their heads with her fists.

"That's enough out of you two!" Erza said. "And Natsu you heard what Roshi said, there's always going to be someone stronger than you."

"Yeah, yeah," Natsu muttered while rubbing his head.

Krillin stared in shock at the strength of Erza, Levy took note of his expression and shrugged, "Eh you'll probably see this a lot from her."

"So what exactly do in the guild?" Krillin asks.

"Well, basically you can take jobs from the request board over there." Mira pointed. "The jobs range from normal, to S-Class, to SS-Class, 10-year and hundred-year quests."

"H-Hundred year quests!" Krillin exclaimed. "How does a quest like that exist?!"

"It's not as bad as it sounds, depending on your skill level it shouldn't take you more than a few months to years," Elfman said.

"But even then you can't do most of the S-Class and up jobs without being an S-Class mage," Lisanna added.

Krillin and Natsu walked up to the board to see what they could work with. "Maybe we should go for something on the easy side," Krillin told the Dragon Slayer.

"Nah, let's go for something like this!" Natsu showed a job to take out an army.

"Are you crazy fighting low-level thugs is one thing but an entire army!" Krillin yelled.

"Natsu you're not taking that job," Erza told him. "Not only are you a beginner this job in particular is on the more difficult side, the only reason it isn't S-Class is because there are some normal mages that can do this."

"Aww come on," Natsu whined before Erza gave him a glare that straightened him out.

"This one should be easy enough for you two, it's taking out a few bandits in a nearby town." She told them. "Gray do you mind going with them."

"Can't, I already made plans to go somewhere important," Gray said before walking out. Erza understood so she didn't bother asking anymore.

"I guess I shall accompany you two, come on there's a train that'll take us there." She said.

After hearing the word train, Natsu begins feeling ill, "Um, can't we just walk? I rather not get on that death trap." Before Natsu could back away Erza began dragging him to the train station while Krillin followed with a sigh.

"I hope those boys won't be in too much trouble," Makarov said to himself.

The ride to the town was torture for Natsu who had to be knocked out by Erza so he could get through it. "If only Nimbus was here," Natsu muttered.

"Nimbus? Do you mean Goku's cloud? How is that different from riding a train?" Erza questioned.

"Beats me, whenever he's flying on there he's fine but on anything else, he's just unbearable," Krillin said.

"Well, I don't blame him, flying on a cloud sounds fun!" Erza said with a smile.

"You're not wrong, too bad I can't properly ride it," Krillin muttered. "By the way Erza, why did join the guild anyway?"

Erza's smile dropped at Krillin's question as she reflected on recent events in life. "A...friend suggested I come to Fairy Tail, that's all." The rest of the ride was silent.

'Damn it Krillin!' The monk angrily thought.

Once they arrived in town the three kids headed towards their client's place to get briefed on the situation.

"Oh welcome please come in." The man said. "My name is Edwin, you three must be the guild members who came to help. You all look quite young though."

"I promise you Mr. Edwin we may seem young but we're best for the job," Erza explained. "My two friends here competed and reached the quarterfinals of the recent Tenkaichi Budokai tournament."

"Oh my, I see. Well in that case I want you three to look for a group of bandits who've robbing a few places around town." Edwin said. "According to a couple of reports they've set up a hideout in the outskirts of town."

"Just leave that to us, we'll take these guys down no problem!" Natsu said pumping his fist.

"This shouldn't be too hard for us." Krillin bragged.

"Well, I wish you three luck," Edwin said.

The trio headed into the forest outside of town looking around for any clues on the bandits. "Nothing so far, I didn't think it would be this tough," Krillin said.

"Hang on I'm picking up on something, it's coming from further down the forest I think our guys are there," Natsu said.

"In that case good luck you two," Erza said.

The two boys looked at her in confusion, "What do you mean good luck?" Krillin asked.

"You two are going to deal with them yourselves, after all, you're both unbeatable," Erza said.

Krillin turned to Natsu with an expression that said 'This is your fault' which the dragon boy just sweat dropped at the expression.

"Trust me, we got this!" Natsu said.

"Okay then I'll give you two about 15 minutes to finish this job, otherwise I'll have to step in." She explained.

"Heh, we could do it in under 10 minutes, let's go Natsu!" Krillin said as the two boys ran deeper into the forest. Erza sighed before sitting against a tree.

As the duo ran further down the forest they started racing to see who could get there first. "You know it's too bad Goku couldn't join us in this," Natsu said.

"Yeah, but he seemed to have a good reason, Master Roshi did tell us to go our own paths," Krillin said. "By the way what are these Dragon Balls."

"Oh, they're awesome, when you gather all seven a dragon appears and grants you a wish!" Natsu explains. "I just wish I got to make a wish back then.

"What do you mean?" Krillin asked.

"Well originally I wanted to ask the dragon where Igneel was, but Oolong had to make a wish," Natsu started. "But now since Goku's looking for his Dragon Ball I feel like it wouldn't be right to take it just to make my wish."

Krillin listened to his friend's explanation and was about to speak when they heard voices. They looked over a small cliff and saw a large tent with about fifteen men talking, drinking, and eating.

"I thought it was just a small group!" Krillin whispered to Natsu.

"We can still take them, these guys are nothing," Natsu assured.

"Okay but maybe we should come up with a plan first," Krillin suggested.

"The plan is that we hit 'em as hard as we can!" Natsu said before jumping down.

"You idiot!" Krillin said as he jumped after him.

The bandits stared at the two boys who came out of nowhere, "Who are the kids?" One of them said. "Hey look at those marks they're Fairy Tail mages!"

"That's right me we are!" Natsu said as his fist ignited with flames. "We're here to kick your asses!"

The bandits continued to stare until they burst out laughing at these two children, "That's pretty funny kid, but I think your mother is calling yo-" The bandit couldn't finish his sentence before Natsu punched him in the gut and sent him flying.

"Anyone else wants some!?" Natsu mocked.

The bandits charged at the two boys as they got into their fighting stances. They each used different kinds of magic to stop them, but the duo was too fast for them. Krillin sent out multiple punches and kicks to each of the bandits. Natsu did the same having to barely use his magic.

The boss watched as the two boys dismantled his gang, his men's magic wasn't very impressive but it got jobs done. And yet these two pipsqueaks were tearing them apart, the pink-haired one barely using his magic, and the bald one not using any.

"Heh, these guys weren't so tough!" Krillin smirked.

"Yeah, we didn't even need that full fifteen minutes!" Natsu said.

"Well, I'm impressed you squirts were able to take out all my men, but now you gotta deal with Captain Mack!" The boss said.

"Maybe you should do yourself a favor and just give up so we don't beat you too bad." Natsu taunted.

"Hehe, you kids don't know what you're dealing with, HAH!" Mack's body started to bulge as his muscles began to burst from his coat. "Behold my Muscle Magic!" Before the boys could respond Mack grabbed them by their face and threw them out of the tent and into a tree.

"Ow, ow, ow, this guy's insane!" Natsu said while grabbing his head.

"Let's try attacking him, but this time we go with a plan!" Krillin told him.

"Ok, ok, what do you have in mind?" Natsu asked.

Mack walked through the forest trying to scope out his targets, "Come out, come out wherever you are brats!" He then started punching the trees trying to find them.

"Hey big guy!" Krillin shouted from behind. "Are you sure that's all muscle or did all that bulking go wrong?"

Mack turned to the boy and charged at him, "You're about to find out baldie!" He then threw a punch towards the monk, which fazed through him. "Huh?"

Krillin then came from the bushes and landed a kick to Mack's face, he then followed up with a few punches to his gut. Natsu then leaped from the tree he was hiding from and ignited his fist, "Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!" Natsu landed a solid hit to the top of Mack's head knocking him down.

"We got him!" Krillin said excitedly.

"I guess it's not bad to have a plan now and then," Natsu admitted. "Guess we should head back to Erza."

Natsu then felt something grab his foot, he looked down to see Mack crushing his ankles. The boy screamed in pain before he was grabbed by his neck. "You thought you defeated me, kid? Well, think again, my Muscle Magic increases my strength, so you won't last long!" Natsu began gasping for air as Mack's grip tightened around him.

"Natsu!" Krillin ran towards Mack to land another punch but got kicked away. "Why you!"

"Not another step baldie, you come any closer and I'll your little friend's head off!" Mack threatened.

Krillin stopped in his tracks, "You coward if you're so tough why don't you try winning without a hostage?!"

Mack smirked, "Who says I still can't win?" He ran towards Krillin and kicked him into a tree. "Haha, you weaklings thought you bested Captain Mack? FOOLS!"

Krillin slowly got to his feet, "Let...him...go...Now!" Krillin sputtered.

"What was that? I couldn't hear you!" Mack taunted.

A vein showed on Krillin's head, "I said, LET HIM GO!" Krillin threw out his hands and a ball of light was fired into Mack's face causing the boss to drop Natsu. Krillin stared at his hands in disbelief. "Wait, this is?"

Mack gathered himself and glared at the monk, "You little when I get my hands on you!" He charged at Krillin once again, but the Monk dodged and shot another blast of light at Mack's back.

"How does that feel you jerk?!" Krillin shouted. "He then ran up to Mack and shot multiple shots of light into his face causing him to cry out in pain. "Now Natsu!"

Natsu rubbed his neck before puffing his cheeks, "Fire Dragon's Roar!" The stream of fire scorched Mack's body and made him fall on his face as his muscles reverted to normal.

The two boys panted in exhaustion, "That was tough, but we did it." Krillin said.

"Hey not only that you finally used magic!" Natsu pointed out.

"Yeah you're right, it seems cool," Krillin said. The boys once again started their walk back, when Mack got up one more time to strike Krillin until a slash was heard that made him fall once again.

"One of the most important things in a fight is to never let your guard down." Erza scolded the duo.

"Yes ma'am!" They shrieked.

"Well despite that, you two really cleaned house, now help me round them up." She instructed.

After the bandits were turned in the trio headed back to Edwin's place. "Oh I thank you brave mages, you've saved our town!" Edwin applauded.

"Aw, it was nothing, just doing our best to help." Krillin and Natsu smiled.

"Now here's your reward 600 Zeni," Edwin said as he handed their payment.

"Wait we get paid!?" Natsu asked in disbelief.

"Correct, most jobs give out a reward for completing them, money is the most common," Erza explained.

"Oh, I could make quite the living from this," Krillin said.

The trio then made their way back to the train station, "While you could've ended it better, your first job was a success!" Erza commended.

The duo smiled at the praise, "As fun as this was I just wonder what Goku is doing now." Natsu pondered.

"Around here, I think. Let me make the picture bigger." Goku said as he tapped the button on the Dragon Radar. He jumped off Nimbus and began looking around the rocking terrain.

Two men just watched in confusion as Goku continued to look around. They then gasped when they saw Goku pull a Dragon Ball from a crevice.

"Aw, man. It's the Five-Star ball." The boy said disappointed.

"Hey kid thanks for finding that, now handing it over!" One of the men said.

"Why? What are you going to do with this?" Goku questioned.

"Shaddup! You don't wanna die, do ya?" The man said. "Give it here!"

Goku stuck his tongue out before landing a kick to the man's gut. The other lackey fired a few shots at Goku which the boy easily dodged before hitting him with a flurry of punches.

"I don't need this ball, but I guess I'll hold on to it for now," Goku said as he hopped back on his Nimbus. "I hope the next one is Grandpa's ball." Nimbus then flew off.

Goku continued flying through the rocky plains before he was shot out of the sky by a rocket which blew up the Flying Nimbus. Luckily he was able to land on his feet.

"So you're the one with the Dragon Ball?" A tall man with red hair a purple coat and a red scarf questioned. "You're that energetic kid from yesterday."

"You blew up my Nimbus!" Goku yelled. "It was really important to me!"

"Tell me, how were you able to find the Dragon Ball so easily?" The man asked. "The Red Ribbon Army's radar can't precisely determine their locations."

"Do you think I'll tell somebody who destroyed Nimbus?!" Goku said. "Apologize!"

"Kid," The man began removing his coat. "Don't you dare mock Colonel Silver of the Red Ribbon Army! So talk! Why are you looking for the Dragon Balls?!"

"I'm not gonna tell you if you're not gonna apologize. Bye." Goku started walking away from the Colonel. "Jerk."

Silver ran towards the boy and snatched his knapsack from his hands, "Your radar's in here, isn't it?"

"What are you doing?! Give that back!" Goku ran just as fast to take back his knapsack. "I guess I can't be too careful around you."

Silver gasped at the boy's speed, "I see... So it seems you're not any ordinary kid... If you intend to continually defy me, then you'll just have to learn the hard way." He then threw a punch towards Goku which the boy dodged and retaliated with a kick which left the Colonel gasping for air.

Silver tried hitting Goku and the boy continued dodging his punches as he walked away. He then threw a kick which Goku dodged by jumping into the air and striking Silver in his face with his tail knocking him out. "Well, time to go," Goku said he realized that without Nimbus he couldn't get anywhere. "Oh, yeah! I wonder if he's got any of those capsule thingies!"

Goku went inside Colonel Silver's quarters and found a case of capsules. He tossed one out which contained a helper robot. It told Goku which capsule contained a plane and helped him pilot it to the north.

A few minutes after leaving, Silver crawled toward his quarters to inform the commander about what happened.

As the plane continued flying Goku started shivering, "S-So cold... W-Why is it so cold...?"

"It is obvious. The north is cold." The robot said strangely sarcastically.

Goku checked the radar and realized there was a Dragon Ball nearby, "T-This spot's fine. L-Land the plane." The robot hadn't responded, "W-What's the matter?! Hey!"

"I have frozen..." The robot said as it powered down.

"Hey! We're gonna crash into the mountains!" Goku screamed as the plane couldn't stay steady any longer. As the plane hit the ground an explosion rang throughout the mountains and a nearby village.

Gray was walking down the mountains when he saw smoke coming from farther out, "What the heck was that?" He then ran down the mountain to get to the village.

Meanwhile, the poor monkey boy while unharmed was left frozen in the snow. Luckily a little girl with red hair was nearby and dragged Goku back to her house.

Well how's that for a few new developments, Krillin finally unlocked his magic, he and Natsu are now officially in Fairy Tail, and Gray is in Jingle Village. Why is he there? That'll be explained next chapter.

So basically Krillin uses light magic, right now he can only shoot balls of light from his hands as well as send out small bright flashes. I'm open to suggestions on what magic I should give to Tien once he's brought into the story since I already know what to do for Yamcha.
