"The air felt dense, while a scorching heat filled the room. Only the moans of both were heard in the room, and the sound of their bodies meeting again and again. Both bathed in sweat, both agitated and short of breath .

He thrust hard, deep, giving her all of himself. He felt the nails digging into his back, while at each encounter she let his name slip from her lips.

How much he had needed her all this time! Her love, her warmth, the feeling of being at home she always gives him. The ring that shone on her small hand gave him peace of mind . She was his wife, and now he would never have to share her with anyone else.

-I Love you- he told her

"I love you too…Naruto-kun"

His eyes snapped open, his heart racing. But what the hell had that dream been?

Still awake, he felt how his body reacted to the memory of the woman he lovingly made his own. But his greatest surprise was the fact that he had not felt Sakura's familiar body and jade eyes, but that the woman to whom he declared that ardent love had pearly eyes, with curves that in his dream he was holding on tight. That woman, the one he saw as HIS woman, was Hinata.

"Na... Naruto-kun" he heard her say from outside the store... oh yes, that's exactly what she called him in his dream. -Are you okay? I heard you…mmm…moan, I thought you might be sick-

-I'm fine, I'll be out in a moment.-

He took a deep breath as he placed a hand on his temple. Why that dream? Why did his mind make him think that Hinata could feel good enough to exchange his happiness with Sakura for a night with her? But... in his dream it wasn't a one night stand, it wasn't a romp to turn the page... in his dream she was his wife... and he was the happiest man in the world.

"It must be getting to spend so much time with her. As soon as I see Sakura, all this will go away" he thought to himself.

Inside him he heard Kurama's voice curse under his breath. He asked him if he was okay.

-Yes, there's only one bloody mosquito around here, who doesn't know what he's getting into-

-But what are you saying Kurama, mosquitoes have never entered there- he answered somewhat amused.

He walked out of the shop to find a fire going, a nice smell of food and Hinata wearing her old ninja uniform, with that heavy lavender sweater, baggy pants to her calves and wearing her hair in a ponytail.

He watched her carefully, it reminded her of the time when he considered her a little weird... that time when she jumped without thinking to face Pain in order to protect him.

His heart gave a little jump when she came face to face with him, showing him a magnificent smile and two red cheeks. She probably felt shy about yesterday's events. Without giving it much thought, he closed the distance between them, placing an unexpected kiss on her lips.

"Good morning," Naruto said, his intonation had surprised himself, he hadn't remembered in his life having listened so dumbfounded.

-good morning- she answered with a red face -breakfast is served, in case you like to eat…mmm I know that ramen is what you usually eat for breakfast, but…I think you should eat a little more fruits and vegetables, so I made you something different, for a change... I hope you like it-

-I have no doubt that everything will be delicious-

They ate in silence, he was delighting in the flavor of the dishes. Who was going to say that vegetables might like him? Hinata enjoyed watching him eat.

Naruto remembered the promise he had made to his mother about eating well. He was fulfilling it for the first time, thanks to her... to Hinata. Her eyes settled on her again. A new leap of the heart.

He was about to thank her for the meal when a hawk flew close to where they were, dropping a scroll to the blonde.

Naruto read the letter, which he immediately put into his pocket. Hinata calmly waited for the news.

-Well, it was…a letter from Sakura. She will meet us in Suna for the kazekage party, and after that she will return with us to Konoha-

Without meaning to, Hinata kept quiet. It was no longer necessary to hurry the pace, they were less than an hour from Suna on foot. Less than an hour from the place where Naruto would finally see her again...

She chided herself…she was getting married! By the time they got back to the village she would be someone else's woman. If Sakura finally gave Naruto that chance to be happy, she couldn't help but accompany the joy of her lover.

Naruto looks worried at his partner. Since he had received the letter, Hinata had progressively become quieter. She was barely smiling. He was happy to see the pink-haired girl again, but Hinata's distance clouded any hint of joy. He felt the need to focus on her, to make her smile, and later he would have time for Sakura, once Hinata went looking for her husband.

A new leap from the heart, this time painful. She was going to go away forever!. She would belong to another man. Another would take her in his arms. Another would make love to her. Another would live the sweet dream he had. His mind began to process the information, and to look for methods to avoid such a fate that would separate her from everything she loved.

Hinata felt Naruto stop his step, frozen and looking at the floor, lost in his thoughts.

"He must be very nervous to see Sakura again…and I selfishly could only think of myself, when he's having a hard time"

Hinata approached the young man and placed her hands on his face, she looked at him affectionately.

"Come on Naruto-kun, I know you're nervous... but, as long as you need it, I'll help you move forward" and she took his hand to resume the march.

-Hinata…how did you break the engagement with Hiroki?-

She had already managed to get out of an impending marriage once, maybe he could help her do the same. Not for him of course, but because Hinata was not going to want to leave his country, nor his family or friends.

The question was completely unexpected, but if Hinata was going to be honest with anyone, it would be him, so she sighed, at least that conversation will distract him from being nervous about the pink hair girl.

"You know... you haven't been the first man I've seen naked" she said somewhat embarrassed.

-I suppose that the man was Hiroki- Naruto felt a strange rage in himself, as he unconsciously squeezed Hinata's hand a little more.

-But it's not what you're thinking…Hiroki, he's a good man. When he was introduced to me as a fiancé, I agreed immediately. I know him, I knew with our affinity of character and abilities we could get the best out of our relationship. If at the end of the day I was going to get married out of duty, at least it was good to know that I had a respectable partner.-

-Then why the change of mind?-

-Well... .during the time we lived together we tried to get to know each other better. We trained together, ate together, and occasionally drank sake together. On one of those nights when we were both somewhat drunk…well, I simply decided to kiss him.-

Anger again, Hinata's story didn't do the hero any good, he regretted having asked the question.

-Hiroki, he couldn't return my kiss. That night he confessed to me that he was madly in love with a woman, also from the secondary branch, and that he had accepted his commitment to me to fulfill his duty. He assured me that he would fulfill his responsibilities, but his heart belonged to another person…-

Naruto felt a deep sorrow. It was the second time that this beautiful woman was rejected because someone else existed.

-...so, I proposed to cancel the marriage-

-But that's against the clan rules!

-Actually, there are two ways to cancel an engagement Naruto, the first is that a suitor appears with better qualities to engender powerful descendants or that the offer of political power that he makes is so good that the clan council does not let it pass, although it could still be questionable and unlikely to call off the engagement. The second way, completely infallible, is if it is proven that the suitor is incapable of producing an heir-

-but…Hiroki…?-

Hinata gave him a distant smile

-The byakugan has many advantages. Being able to see the body in detail is one of them. We studied the male anatomy together and found exactly what points needed to be injured to cause sterility. Unfortunately he couldn't apply the damage correctly, it had to be me. After that we put him through a training accident. None of the old men had any objections to letting him go knowing that he was sterile…it was a high price, but at least he can now be with the woman he loves, and I don't have to tie my life to someone who has someone else in his heart.

-I can not believe it! You were crazy, I can't imagine the consequences if someone found out... but….I believe…I'm glad it worked.-

The idea of doing the same to Hinata's new fiancé was something that, besides being impossible, could create suspicion. However, as they walked to Suna, Hinata's words echoed in his head.

"If a suitor with better qualities appears"
