Chapter 2

Solstheim - Middas 19 of Last Seed of 202 of the Fourth era

Edzard's eyes began to widen. Blinking he began to look around. His head throbbed as if he'd gone drinking with Jon Battle-Born and half the Companions. Looking around him he realized that he was in his store.

'What happened last night?' Edzard thought as he put a hand to his temple to try to ease the headache he had.

Still disoriented by the headache, he decided to sit down. As he did so, he could see that Asia was lying next to him.

"Ahh, I remember. I used Neloth's scroll." Edzard said, already remembering why he was lying on the ground.

Getting up, he decided to get out of the tent. When he was out, he could see that they had not been looted by bandits. So, he took advantage of the fact that they were near a lake to go and replenish their water reserves. When he finished filling his water skins, Edzard decided to make breakfast.

As he returned from the lake, Edzard could see a nest very close. Moving closer, he saw that there were a few eggs in the nest. Smiling at his luck, he picked them up. After that, he decided to go back to the camp.

Back in the camp, he re-lit a fire. Edzard put a skillet of butter on the fire. When the butter melted, he tossed the eggs into the skillet.

As Edzard prepared breakfast, Asia's nose began to move. She slowly she began to open his eyes.

"Umm ..." Asia yawned and stretched.

Still sleepy, she got up and walked outside. When she came out, her eyes were temporarily blinded by the sun. Blinking, Asia waited for the vision of her to return. When she did, she could see that Edzard was making breakfast.

"Good morning Edzard." Asia said in Latin as she approached Edzard.

"Good morning Asia." Edzard answered in Italian.

"Wait, since when do you speak Italian?" asked Asia confused. Because if he knew that language, because he didn't use it before.

"Since last night." Edzard replied as he removed the eggs from the skillet and placed them on two plates. After serving the plates, Edzard turned around so he could see Asia's face.

Asia just blinked, not understanding what Edzard was saying.

Seeing her confusion, Edzard sighed. "Do you remember the scroll from last night."

Asia nodded, and there she remembered everything. The first thing she did was take a few steps back. She still remembered the pain she had felt.

"Don't worry, I haven't done anything to you." Edzard said as he got up. "I would like to apologize."

Asia blinked. "Why do you want to apologize?"

"Last night's spell caused you a lot of pain. So I wanted to apologize for that."

"Did you know it would hurt?"

"No. It is the first time that I have been forced to use that spell." Edzard answered honestly.

And that was the truth. He had never used that spell, in fact, he did not know of its existence.

"I see." Asia said looking away.

Edzard felt a little bad about what had happened last night, but before he could apologize again, Asia spoke.

"There is nothing to forgive. You also suffered last night, right" asked Asia.

"Yes. I wouldn't want to feel that pain again." Edzard lied. While the spell had caused him pain, it was nothing he couldn't handle. What made him pass out was the mental stress that the spell caused him.

"Then all settled." Asia said as she smiled.

Edzard simply blinked. Asia seemed to be a very innocent girl.

"Asia, are you hungry?" Edzard asked.

Asia nodded, for she was hungry.

Smiling, Edzard walked over to the fire and picked up the plates that contained today's breakfast. Approaching, he handed Asia a plate.

Asia received the plate and made a few prayers. After that, she started eating.

Breakfast was a very quiet affair. When Edzard finished eating, he decided to break camp. Seeing this, Asia decided to help. Between the two of them they quickly dismantled the camp.

Edzard and Asia were walking through the ash wasteland. They had left the vicinity of the lake not long ago. As they walked, they chatted with each other.

"So, Edzard. Where am I?" asked Asia.

Edzard blinked. "You are on the island of Solstheim."

"Solstheim?" Asia asked very confused. Since she did not know any place called that. "What country am I in?"

"This island belongs to Morrowind." Edzard replied.

"Morrowind ...?" asked Asia. She did not know of any country named like that. Although this country could be a small one, so the best thing would be to know what continent it was in. "What continent is Morrowind on?"

Edzard stopped short. He could understand that Asia did not know Solstheim, in fact, he did not know this island, but not knowing one of the great regions of Tamriel, that was already something very rare.

"Asia, I know what I'm going to say sounds very strange" Edzard said turning to see Asia. "Where have you lived not to know where Morrowind is?"

Asia blinked and pouted because she felt like Edzard was teasing her. "I have lived in Italy."

Edzard blinked. "Italy?"

Asia nodded and started to smile when she saw that Edzard was speechless.

"Excuse my words, but where is that place?"

Asia started looking at Edzard. How is it that Edzard did not know where Italy was?

"Edzard, Italy is on the European continent." Asia said as she pointed out something very obvious.

"European continent? How did you get to Tamriel from there?" Edzard asked.

"Tamriel? What's that?" asked Asia.

"Tamriel is the continent where you are." Edzard replied.

Asia blinked over and over. Her mind tried to understand what Edzard was saying. She did not know of any continent called Tamriel.

Edzard, seeing Asia's confusion, walked over to the bag he was carrying. From it he took out a scroll.

"Asia." Edzard called.

Asia looked at Edzard and was scared. She was scared thanks to the translation scroll Edzard had used.

"Easy, it is not a magic scroll. It is a map of all the regions of Tamriel."

Asia calmed down when she heard that. She didn't want another sore headache. So she approached Edzard. When she got to the side of him, she could see the map. Her eyes widened when she saw the continent of Tamriel. It was unlike anything she had ever seen before. Slowly, her eyes began to water.

"We are on this island." Edzard said as he pointed to a small island in the northern part of the map. When he received no response, he turned and was amazed when he saw Asia cry.

"Asia, why are you crying?" Edzard asked.

"I do not know this continent." Replied Asia as she wiped her tears with the sleeve of her dress.

Edzard just blinked. So Asia was from an undiscovered continent.

"What do you mean?" Edzard asked. He asked the question to try to get more information.

"Edzard. On earth…. all the continents have already ... been mapped. There is no continent ... like ... like that on the maps." Asia replied.

Edzard blinked in surprise.

"Wait, Earth? What's that?" Edzard asked.

"It… is… the… the… planet where I come from." Asia replied

"Asia, this planet is called Nirm." Edzard said.

Asia began to back away. she couldn't believe what Edzard was saying. "No… no… ¡No!"

After screaming, Asia turned around and started running.

Edzard looked stunned as Asia ran. He stood there for a moment while he thought. 'Asia, she is from another world.'

Edzard came to and realized where Asia had run.

"Shit. In that direction is a nest of fire spiders."

After saying that, Edzard got on his horse and began to gallop at full speed. He couldn't let Asia get there or she might die.

Asia was running as fast as she could. She didn't know where she was going, but she didn't care.

'That's not fair. Why is this happening to me?' Asia thought as she ran.

She was so engrossed in these thoughts that she did not realize that she was heading for a burned area. In this area there were some white spiders that were surrounded by fire.

"Asia!"

Edzard's scream made Asia quicken her pace.

Edzard, seeing Asia increase speed, spurred the horse to go faster.

'Shit. Almost already.' Edzard thought.

When the horse got close enough, Edzard leaned to one side. When the horse passed close to Asia, Edzard used his right arm to grab Asia and forcefully lifted her up. Once Asia was in the air, Edzard made her sit in front of him. With Asia secure, Edzard tugged on the horse's reins and turned it to the left.

The horse obeyed and turned in that direction. Quickly, Edzard spurred the horse and left the place.

"Let me go!" Asia yelled as she tried to shake off Edzard's grip on her.

Edzard started to frown. Asia's movements could cause them to fall off the horse.

"Dammit! Asia, calm down!" Edzard yelled as he tried to keep them both from falling to the ground.

Asia ignored him and kept moving. This caused both of them to fall off the horse. Luckily for Asia, Edzard had turned in midair and got under her. So he took the hit, while Asia only got a few scratches.

Asia was still struggling, but Edzard wouldn't budge. He couldn't let her get away from him, as she might be killed by some creature of the wasteland.

"Asia, calm down." Edzard whispered.

Asia kept struggling, but she slowly stopped. Soon her struggles turned into tears.

Edzard felt a few tears from Asia trickle down his armor. So he began to rub the girl's back as he whispered reassuring words. He was doing it for a long time, until finally Asia calmed down.

Asia nodded. This made Edzard start to loosen his grip.

Now free, Asia saw Edzard and was amazed when he hugged her.

"Edzard?" asked Asia.

"Shuuu .." Edzard whispered. "Easy, everything is fine now."

"How is everything okay?" asked Asia. "I am no longer in my world."

Edzard looked at her and sighed. He felt strange. He had never done something like what he had just done.

"Yes, you may no longer be in your world, but that is no reason to try to kill you." Edzard said as he started rubbing Asia's head.

"Kill me?" asked Asia confused. She was not going to kill herself, she just wanted to be away and cry alone.

Edzard blinked and then sighed. "Asia, the place you ran to was a nest of fire spiders."

"Fire spiders?"

"Yes. Imagine white spiders the size of a dog." Edzard replied.

Asia looked at Edzard. This world was weird. How could there be spiders as big as a dog?

"You lie. There are no spiders that big."

"Yes there are. The worst thing is that these spiders explode when disturbed."

Asia just stayed still. She didn't know what to say.

Edzard looked at her too, until he finally decided to part with her. He slowly got up and saw himself. Apparently, the armor had absorbed much of the blow and he only had a few scratches.

"Edzard. Sorry." Asia said lowering her gaze.

Edzard looked at her strangely. Since he didn't understand why she was apologizing. "Why do you apologize?"

"You lost your horse because of me."

Edzard looked at her for a few moments and then began to laugh.

"Hahaha!" Edzard's laughter echoed through the wasteland.

"Quiet. There's no need." Edzard said already a little calmer.

"What do you mean?"

Edzard didn't respond verbally, he just whistled loudly. The sound of the whistling was soon replaced by the sound of a galloping horse's hooves.

Asia blinked in amazement when she saw the horse return.

"Amazed?" Edzard asked.

"Yes." Asia replied as she approached the horse and began to pet it.

The horse snorted at Asia's gesture. He looked like he was upset about what Asia had done.

"Don't worry, you don't like strangers." Edzard said seeing how Asia was saddened by what the horse had done to her.

Asia nodded and started looking at the horizon. Thousands of questions passed through her mind, but the most important was. What to do from here?

Edzard looked at Asia and sighed. Now that he knew she was out of this world, he must be careful. If someone dangerous found out about that, she would be in danger.

'What should I do?' Thought Edzard. As he thought, an idea came to him. The idea was a little crazy and it was very likely that he would make Asia kick him in the balls, but it was the only thing that had occurred to him.

"Asia." Edzard said drawing Asia's attention.

"Yes." Asia replied.

"I have two options for you. So you must decide."

"Options? Decision?" Asia asked shyly, as she didn't know what decision she should make.

"Yes. The first option is for you to stay posed until you find a job you can support yourself with," said Edzard looking into her eyes. "Of course, the pension for your stay and meals will be paid for by me."

"And what is the second option?"

"That you start living with someone you just met." Edzard replied as he avoided Asia's gaze.

Edzard's response surprised Asia, as she was not expecting this. Edzard was offering to pay her an inn until she finds a way to subsist in this place. But the second option left her even more surprised. She never expected someone who had just met her to care enough for her to offer to live with him.

'Maybe I was very direct about this.' thought a worried Edzard as he saw Asia's eyes start to water.

"Please ... please, for ... for what you love most, don't cry." Edzard stuttered, this scene was getting very awkward.

"I'm sorry, forgive me ... I just didn't expect ... you to worry so much ... about me." Sobbed Asia, as she wiped away her tears and tried to calm herself.

'Asia, I just stopped you from killing yourself.' Edzard thought with a large bead of sweat on his forehead, but then he started to smile.

"Asia, I have not known you for long, that is to say we have literally only known each other since yesterday." Edzard sighed. "But in this short time I have realized that you are a very kind and innocent person."

'Maybe too kind and innocent for this world.'

Edzard's words made Asia blush. Smiling, she hugged him. The hug took Edzard by surprise, but he started to smile and he hugged Asia too.

"So, have you decided yet?" Edzard asked when he stopped hugging Asia.

"Yes. I want to live with you." Asia replied with a smile.

"Then, we must go to my house in Raven Rock. Luckily it is not very far."

Asia nodded. She didn't know it was Raven Rock, but she no longer mattered. Edzard had offered her a home and she would not reject it.

Edzard took Asia by the waist and helped her onto the horse. When Asia was seated, Edzard also got on the horse. With both of them mounted on the horse, Edzard moved the reins and the horse began to gallop.

Sunset had painted the sky a beautiful shade of orange. Edzard and Asia continued to ride through the ash wasteland. A few hours ago they had passed Hrodulf's house. Which indicated that they were very close to reaching Raven Rock. They had both used the trip to get to know each other better. Asia had recounted her childhood in church and Edzard recounted him childhood in Bruma. She told about his sacred gear, he about the dragon's blood. They had talked about more topics, including religion.

"So these devils or demons are like daedras?" Edzard asked.

"Well, in theory yes." Asia replied. She was moving slightly, as her butt ached. She had never ridden a horse, so her butt had started to get irritated from being in the same position for so long.

"I see. Well, if I'm honest, your god really is an idiot." Edzard said.

Asia got angry at what Edzard had said. So, she pouted and turned her face away.

"Asia. Asia…. Asia!" Edzard ended up yelling when he saw that Asia ignored him.

However, she did not turn to see him.

Edzard sighed. "Okay, sorry to call your god an idiot."

Asia then turned her head and stuck her tongue out at Edzard, then smiled.

"Asia, three. Edzard, zero." said Asia happily. They had had light fights over some nonsense, fights that Asia had won and Edzard lost.

"You know, I feel weird when he spoke in your language. What was this language called?"

"Italian." Asia replied. "Because it's weird?"

"Well, you are in Tamriel and you should speak the local language. If you don't, then no one would understand you and you could cause trouble."

"Edzard. I can't speak your native language." Asia said with blank eyes.

Edzard simply smiled. Here was his chance to win a fight.

"Safe. Well, I think you can speak it." Edzard said in Tamrielico.

Asia blinked as she realized something. She could already understand Edzard's native language. "How can I understand it?"

"The spell scroll enabled you to understand the language of Tamriel." Edzard replied with a smile. "Oh yeah. Asia, three. Edzard, one."

Asia pouted. Edzard had cheated, but when she was about to claim him, she saw how he brought his hand to the handle of his sword.

"Edzard?" asked Asia in a whisper.

Edzard ignored her and began to look ahead.

Asia saw where Edzard was looking and began to panic when she saw several figures approaching.

Edzard tightened his grip on his sword. He did not know if the people who arrived were enemies or not. He began to think about how to kill them quickly, but he dismissed those thoughts when he got a good look at them. That group wore full body armor made from bonemold, armor that some bandits wore; however, they were mounted on one guar each. The bandits had no guar. This is because they are very expensive to maintain. So, seeing the bipedal reptiles proved that these soldiers were Redoran guards.

"Stop in the name of House Redoran!" yelled a guard.

Edzard obeyed and stopped. When he did, the guard approached.

"Who are they and why do you wear Morag Tong armor?" the guard asked.

Edzard removed his helmet in response.

The guards recognized him immediately and bowed their heads.

"Sorry for the inconvenience, Serjo. But we cannot lower our guard." Said the guard who had stopped Edzard.

"Easy, you're just doing your job."

The guard nodded. "Excuse the recklessness, but who is the lady traveling with you?"

"Her name is Asia and she is a friend who will live with me." Edzard replied.

"I see."

Edzard felt a desire to hit the guard. He wasn't a fortune teller, but he knew that all the guards had sarcastic smiles on their faces. Edzard felt a desire to hit the guard. He wasn't a fortune teller, but he knew that all the guards had sarcastic smiles on their faces.

Edzard felt a desire to hit the guard. He wasn't a fortune teller, but he knew that all the guards had sarcastic smiles on their faces.

Asia, for her part, had started to smile when Edzard had introduced her as a friend. She was happy, since she had finally made a friend.

"Where are they headed?" asked another guard approaching.

"To Raven Rock." Edzard replied.

"I see. So, you wouldn't mind if we traveled together?"

"No not at all. In fact, it is a very good idea."

The guards nodded, as it was a very good idea. Traveling in slightly large groups used to scare off most bandits.

The group began heading to Raven Rock in relative silence. Although the silence was broken thanks to a conversation between Edzard and the leader of the group.

"By the way, what are you doing here?"

"We were returning to Raven Rock from Fort Frostmoth Hold."

"I see. I guess everything is quiet out there."

"Yes, since you stopped the ash spawn, things have been quiet."

Edzard smiled in response. He had helped Raven Rock a lot. He had stopped the Ash Spawn attacks and reopened the ebony mines.

The group continued in silence until the ramparts of Raven Rock could be seen in the distance.

Asia stared in amazement at the great wall in front of her. This was tall approximately ten meters. After passing through a tunnel, they were taken to what should be guard barracks. The Redoran guards who had accompanied them said their goodbyes and walked away in the direction of what appeared to be the guard stables.

"We should continue." Edzard said as he got off the horse.

Once he got down, he held out his hand so she could get down too. Taking the outstretched hand, Asia also got off the horse. Edzard took the reins in his other hand and began to walk.

As they made their way through the streets, an Elf approached them. Asia identified him as a Dunmer. And according to what Edzard had told him, this race of elves had gray skin and red eyes, although their hair was usually black or brown, there were exceptional cases where they were white and even blonde. The elf in front of her had completely shaved hair and a padlock-shaped beard. He was wearing the same armor as the guards who had escorted them, but without the helmet.

"Edzard, you are still alive." greeted the strange elf, who looked at Asia. Which was trying to hide behind Edzard.

"I see you have brought someone with you." said the elf. "What is your name miss?"

"A. ... Asia Argento, sir." Asia shyly replied introducing herself to the elf.

"Modyn Veleth, Captain of the Redoran Guard, at your service." Captain Veleth introduced himself.

Edzard who was watching the interaction between the two decided to intervene when he saw that Asia was very nervous to be in front of the captain.

"Captain Veleth, I did not expect to see you so soon." Edzard spoke.

"Neither do I, but Councilor Morvayn wishes to see you as soon as possible."

"Did he say what is it about?"

"No, but he said that if he saw you coming he would let you know that he wishes to speak with you as soon as possible."

"Okay, I'll head there right away." Edzard said. "By the way, the patrol you sent to Fort Frostmoth has arrived."

Hearing that, Captain Veleth's eyes widened slightly. He quickly said goodbye to them and hurriedly headed towards the barracks to receive the report from the patrol.

"Well, we should head to Morvayn Manor." Edzard said. "I can't leave you alone around here, you don't know the place and you might get lost."

"I ... do not wish to disturb." timidly stammered Asia.

"Easy, it's not a bother." Edzard said as he took Asia's hand and started walking.

The duo walked down the main street of the bastion. Asia gazed in wonder at the houses and buildings of the place. These were very different from the buildings they knew in her hometown, as they seemed to be made of large animal shells. The locals wore blue, red and yellow clothes. They were all dark-skinned elves with eyes of various shades of red. Everyone they came across greeted Edzard respectfully and he responded in kind. And some greeted her too.

Asia stared at the Morvayn Manor in amazement. The mansion was a different house from the others, because it did not seem to be made of a giant shell, but rather it looked like a normal building. The building had two towers, one on each side, which were higher than the central part, which was a rectangle. Edzard had greeted the two guards at the gates, and then they had entered.

The interior of the mansion was more spacious than one would think from the external facade of it, in addition to being richly decorated with flags where there was an image of an insect similar to a beetle. At the entrance there was a table with fruits and bottles of wine, in addition to a shelf with several books. The floor was made of stone slabs, and there were goat horns that served as torches.

"Asia, you can stay here while I go talk to the Councilor." Edzard said pointing to a bank that was there.

Asia nodded, then walked over to the bench and sat down. She saw Edzard walk to the right and start talking to a Dunmer who was sitting on a kind of wooden throne.

While waiting for Edzard, Asia saw a woman approaching her. The woman was a Dunmer with not very long black hair, which she wore loosely on her back. She wears a dark green noble dress with red touches, which also has golden embroidery, in addition to this she also had boots lined with light brown fur.

"Hello, I hadn't seen you around here. you are new?" Dunmer asked.

"Oh hello. If I'm new, I just arrived today." Asia replied.

"I see. My name is Cindiri. What is your name?

"A pleasure. My name is Asia Argento."

"That is a nice name. By the way, what is a young Breton doing around here?" Cindiri asked.

"I ... I ..." Asia stuttered, as she didn't know what to answer.

"You don't have to force yourself to tell me if you don't want to." Cindiri said with a smile.

Asia shook her head. And she decided to tell a slightly elaborate version of her story. "I appeared in the ash wasteland and Edzard saved my life from beings made of ash."

"Oh! Poor girl!" yelled Cindiri. "That explains why your clothes are in such bad shape."

"Yes, they were about to kill me, but then Edzard appeared and saved me." Asia said with a smile.

Cindiri started looking Asia from head to toe.

"This ... why are you looking at me like that?" asked Asia.

Cindiri did not respond verbally, but instead took Asia's hand and led her to the right wing of the mansion.

"Wa... wait." Asia said trying to get out of Cindiri's grip.

"Easy, I'm not going to hurt you. Just come with me."

Asia saw that Cindiri wasn't going to give in, so she resigned herself and followed Dunmer. They climbed some stairs and reached the second level. Once there, Cindiri led her to a room. When they both entered the room, Cindiri left her on a bench and went to search a trunk.

Asia looked around the room and was surprised. The room was spacious. It had a double bed and several wardrobes, plus there were displays with various jewels.

"Asia, try this dress on." Cindiri said as she handed Asia a dress.

Asia looked at the dress and tried to reject it, but Cindiri told her that she no longer wore that dress. So, she decided to give it to Asia instead of throwing it away. Asia resigned herself and began to try on her dress.

"So, you were saved by Ysmir?" Cindiri asked.

"Ysmir?" asked Asia confused. She did not know any Ysmir.

"Ahh, you don't seem to know Edzard's titles."

"Does Edzard have titles?" asked Asia.

"Yes, several actually. Although it would be better if he told you." Cindiri replied. "You're going to live with him, right?"

"Yes. Edzard has told me to live with him." Answered Asia, it was strange that she could talk about these issues with someone she barely knows.

"I see. I'll tell you something Asia. That boy is someone very strange ". Cindiri said watching Asia finish dressing.

"Oh, it looks great on you." Cindiri said looking at Asia. "Now come here."

Asia approached Cindiri. Who started combing it.

"What do you mean that Edzard is someone very strange?"

"The boy is a kind person. Of that you have no doubt, but he can also be a true monster."

Asia thought for a few moments and tried to imagine Edzard as a monster, but couldn't.

"So Asia. Where is your bag with your possessions?" Cindiri asked, since she hadn't seen any bag with Asia, nor on Edzard's horse.

Asia looked down when she remembered her suitcase. "I don't have one anymore, I lost it when I got here."

Cindiri put her hands to her mouth. She started to feel sorry for Asia, so she got up and started looking in her closet. When she finished searching, she had several dresses under her belt.

"Asia, have these dresses." Cindiri said as she handed Asia the dresses.

"But…"

"Easy. They are new dresses, even the one you have is new."

"They're new?" asked Asia in amazement. "Why do you give them to me if they are new?"

"Easy. They are not my size." Cindiri replied.

Asia blinked in confusion, she didn't know how to respond to that.

"I ordered them a few months ago, but the tailor made a mistake and made them one size smaller."

Asia could finally understand why she was giving them to her. "I see. So thank you very much."

Cindiri smiled and then approached Asia with a ribbon.

"What is that ribbon for?" asked Asia.

"Lower the top of your dress and take off your underwear."

Asia blushed when she heard that. Taking a few steps back, she asked. "Why?"

"Don't worry, I'm just going to measure your size to have them buy you underwear."

Asia was still scared, but she agreed. She pulled down the top of her dress and took off her bra. So, Cindiri took the measurements and wrote them on a sheet of paper.

"It is done. I will send the garments to Ysmir's house later." Cindiri said.

Asia nodded and finished dressing again.

"Well, I think we should go down. Ysmir must have finished talking to the Councilor by now."

Asia nodded and together they went down to the first floor. When they reached the room where they had met, Cindiri put a hand on Asia's shoulder.

"Cindiri?"

"Listen Asia. No matter what you were before, that's your past. You have a new future before you. So go ahead and don't let some old prejudice stop you from doing what your heart wants to do."

Before Asia could answer her, she was interrupted by Edzard.

"Asia, I see that you have met Cindiri ..." Edzard's voice started to leave as he looked at Asia.

Edzard's jaw was off. Why he didn't know what had happened. When he went to talk to the Councilor , he had left Asia wearing his torn dress. He had planned to buy some of her dresses in Skyrim, as they were somewhat difficult to find in Raven Rock. In fact, he planned to pay for them with the small amount of money that he had recently earned.

The amount was thirty thousand septims, money sent by House Redoran. This money was sent as payment for the defeat of Miraak and for helping to reopen the ebony mines.

"What's wrong Ysmir? Did a chaurus eat your tongue?" Cindiri joked when she saw Edzard's face.

"I ... I ..." Edzard was stuttering.

"Come on, you don't have anything to say to Asia?"

"Asia, you look really good in those clothes." Edzard said as he looked away.

Asia blushed at the compliment Edzard had given her.

And it is that Asia now wore a linen dress. The dress was dark blue and came down to her ankles. The dress had many decorations in silver thread. Besides that it was a bit tight and therefore accentuated the figure of Asia.

Cindiri smiled and decided to take Edzard away for a moment.

"You owe me five thousand septims." Cindiri said as she handed Edzard a bag with the other dresses. She would not tell Edzard that she had gifted them to Asia.

Edzard nodded. It didn't seem like a bad deal. Those dresses cost more. "I'll send you the money these days."

Cindiri nodded.

"Well Asia, I think it's time for us to retire." Edzard said.

Asia nodded. Turning around she said goodbye to Cindiri.

As Edzard and Asia headed to the Severin Manor, Cindiri watched them from afar and a smile appeared on her face.

"Cindiri, why are you smiling?" asked her husband.

"I just saw something very interesting. I have to think of a good gift."

"What a gift?" asked Councilor Morvayn joining the conversation.

"The wedding gift for those two." Cindiri replied.

Both councilors stood there without understanding what Dunmer was thinking.

The journey from Morvayn Manor to Severin Manor passed in pleasant silence. Upon reaching the mansion, Asia realized that like the other houses in the area, this one seemed to be made from the shells of giant insects. On the outskirts there were plants similar to giant red aloe.

Edzard led Asia to the entrance of the manor and opened the door. Then they both entered the building.

Asia looked inside the mansion and was surprised, because she thought she would see the remains of the animal to which the shell belonged; however, inside there was only a small fireplace at the back, while right in the center of the room was a staircase that led down to the next floor.

"Well, I suppose I should say, welcome to my humble abode." Edzard joked, because there was nothing humble about this house. Yes, the facade looked ordinary, but if one looks at the materials of the objects in it, then their jaw would drop, most of these were not only expensive, but were also imported from Morrowind.

'It's good that the house came out free and fully furnished.' Edzard celebrated internally. Although the truth is that he had to stop an assassination attempt against Edil Morvayn in order to obtain this house.

After that, Edzard took Asia to the ground floor, where she could see a large corridor where there were several doors. Edzard began to tell her where each door led to. The first one on the right-hand side was the kitchen and dining room. The first one on the left-hand side was a small library. The second on the right-hand side was a warehouse. The second on the left-hand was an armory. The third one on the right was the bedroom that would now be hers. The third one on the left was the bathroom and finally the room at the end of the hall was Edzard's bedroom.

Edzard went to what would become Asia's room and left the bag with the clothes that Cindiri had given him.

"Well Asia. Enter the bathroom first."

Asia nodded. And she watched as Edzard left the room. Asia looked around her room. It was a slightly small room, but it was certainly bigger than the room she had had in Italy. The room had a bed, a table, two chairs and a wardrobe.

"Well, I better see what clothes I'll wear." Asia said as she approached the bag. Once she opened it, she took the dresses out of the bag. She was hesitant for a few moments, but she decided to choose one of the simplest. The dress chosen was a one-piece dress, which was gray.

"Asia, a package just arrived from Cindiri." Edzard said entering the room.

Asia turned and saw Edzard with a bag in his hand.

"Thanks." Asia said as she took the bag. Turning around, she put the bag next to her dresses.

"Not that I'm interested, but what's in that bag?" Edzard asked.

"There is nothing important." replied Asia quickly as she turned red.

Edzard raised an eyebrow in confusion, but decided not to press her further.

"Well, I'm going to give the horse back." Edzard said as he left the room, but before leaving, he turned and spoke. "Asia, once you finish bathing, can you go into the warehouse and bring some vegetables and meat to make dinner?"

"It's okay"

Edzard nodded and left the room.

Asia heard Edzard's footsteps grow far away. Sighing, she walked over to the new bag and began rummaging through it.

'What will underwear be like in this world?' Asia thought as she took a garment from the bag. She was relieved when she saw that it was very similar to the underwear she was wearing. Taking her dress and underwear, she went to the bathroom.

When she got to the bathroom, she saw that the room was spacious. It had a stone floor and there was a large pool in the center of it, which was covered by polished white stone. The pool had two water taps at the back. One had blue eyes and the other red. Asia turned on the red-eyed faucet and was surprised that hot water came out, then she realized that the blue-eyed one should be cold water. She let the pool fill up a bit and then she turned off the hot water tap. She then she turned on the other tap and let the pool finish filling.

Asia undressed and headed to the pool. Once inside the pool, Asia sat down and let the hot water wash away her problems while she pondered.

'Ah ... this feels good, I'm really lucky that Edzard allowed me to stay with him. Maybe it's God's doing that I found someone like him right after I was excommunicated from the church.' Asia thought as she remained submerged in the pool of hot water.

Remembering her excommunication, Asia felt sad, for she had literally devoted much of her life to the church, only to be expelled for curing a devil. However, she would never deny her faith. This was just one more test of God to her.

When she finished reflecting on her past, Asia decided to finish her bath. As she got out of the pool, she got dressed, first put on her underwear and then her dress, which wore a belt. When she was fully dressed, she came out of the bathroom and decided to let Edzard know that the bathroom was now available.

"Edzard! I've just finished! The bathroom is free!" Asia yelled as she was in the hallway.

"Okay, I'll go in in a bit!" Edzard yelled from upstairs.

After that, Asia headed to the warehouse. Upon entering she was astonished to see that the shelves inside were full of products, there were potatoes, carrots, tomatoes. There were also meats that were kept preserved in salt and what appeared to be smoked foods. Thinking quickly, she decided to have a few potatoes, carrots, and some meat. After that, she headed towards the kitchen.

Upon entering, she realized that this room was also large, in addition to having a stove in the center, on the right side it had a small table to chop and cut the food to be prepared. There was also an oven in the back-left corner and on the right side was a table with six chairs. Asia put the vegetables and meat on the table, and from a drawer she took out a knife and began to peel the vegetables, and then began to cut them next to the meat, so absorbed was she in her task that she did not hear Edzard approach.

"Asia, I am finished." Edzard spoke from the door. "Let me help you."

Asia turned and saw Edzard standing in the doorway. He wore a black sleeveless shirt close to the chest, a pair of black cloth pants, and black leather boots with matching colored straps in an X-shaped pattern. Due to the tight shirt you could see that he has a slim but toned body. Besides that in a small part of his arms there were scars.

Asia felt her cheeks redden when she saw Edzard without his armor.

Edzard smiled a little when he saw Asia blush, so he decided to take another knife from the table and began to help prepare the food. Because they both worked together, dinner was prepared very quickly. When the stew was finished cooking, Asia took two plates and brought them to the table. Meanwhile, Edzard took two cups and filled them with a lavender tea that he had prepared earlier.

They both sat side by side at the table. Dinner passed silently and when they finished eating, the two began to talk.

Edzard began to tell her about many things. He told her about the recent civil war in Skyrim. He also told her about his titles. For her part, Asia began to tell the final part of her story. It was there that Edzard learned that Asia had been excommunicated for saving a devil.

"Asia. Do you still want to go back to earth?" Edzard asked.

Asia was thoughtful for a few moments, but in the end, she nodded.

Edzard just sighed. "It's fine. I promise you that I will find a way for you to travel to earth."

"Thank you very much Edzard." Asia's voice contained much joy.

Edzard nodded. Then both began to talk about more trivial things. They stayed late into the night. After the talk, they both went to their respective rooms.

Author's note:

To those who have made it this far, Thanks for reading. The truth is that this is not the original chapter, since I have almost completely rewritten it. I hope this one has been better for me and that it does not have as many errors as the original. Because being honest, I don't know how to write much in English and I'm relying on Google translators and the dictionaries that come with office 2019.

Well, I apologize for any misspelling. Do not forget to leave a review if you liked the chapter or if there is something that needs to be improved. With nothing more to say, until the next chapter.
