Family fun

"Okay it's Héctor 's turn to pick ". Mirabel said

"Please pick something good". he wished

Now this tradition started with Luna where every Friday Mirabel and Miguel would gather around and pick a family activity to do together and it would be the sweetest thing and now it was their youngest son Héctor 's turn.

He reached into the tub and grabbed out a piece paper and smiled at the results.

"What does say Mijo?" Miguel asked

"Ice cream parlour ". He stated

"Ice cream it is then". Mirabel replies

"Yes nice job Tor". Natalia cheered

"Si Come on let's go". Luna pulled her fathers arm

"Ok Mija I'm coming ". Miguel called

Mirabel giggles as she lifts her son into her arms as the walk to the parlour all smiles and giggles and light conversation was made, the family settled with their ice creams on a nice spot on a grassy meadow at the back.

"I think this was the best one yet". Luna stated

"I agree Lun". Héctor whispered

They talked about school and life and sang songs to pass the time and once they finished their ice cream the kids played a game of chase with their parents happy to make memories with each other.

"Mamá?" Luna asked

"Mhm Mija ". Mirabel answers

"Did you this with Abuelo Bruno ". She smiled

"All the time". Mirabel replies as she remembered her and Tio Bruno making memories

"What was it like?" Luna and Héctor asked

"Well you know when he came back from hiding in the wall he wanted to spend as much time with me as possible since he felt so bad for leaving me". Mirabel replies

"What does he call you?" Natalia asked

"He calls me his Mariposa or his Mariposita". She smiles

"Does that mean he calls you his butterfly ". Héctor chuckled

"Si it does". She nodded

"Just like how we have our nicknames ". Luna smiled

"Si". Miguel smiled

"Did you like hanging out?" Luna asked

"Si, we did". She smiles

"What did you do". Hector asked

"Well Your Abuelo and I still do this where he would let me lay next to him he would read me a poem from one of his books and I would sew and listen as I listened ". She explained

"Really?"Hèctor asked

His mother nodded.

The kids loved to hear about their mothers and fathers past they found very interesting and exciting they loved the stories and they hoped that one day they would have the same thing .

"Kind of like when Abuelo reads us stories". Luna laughed

"Si". Héctor whispered

For the rest of the day stories were told of the past and they all listened with intent and excitement until it was time to go home.
