Like old times

Imelda was working on her last order for the day when her newly born granddaughter Luna tugged on her skirt showing that she wanted to see her and Imelda stopped what she was doing and smiled down at her.

"Mamá Melda up up". Luna called

She just started to talk over the past couple of weeks but couldn't learn to say Mamá Imelda properly yet since she could only say a few sentences, Imelda smiled as she picked her up and chuckled lightly as the little girl was just like her father when it came to these things but like her mother she was full of energy.

"What is it mijita?" Imelda asked

"Come to watch me work and sneak away have we ". Imelda smirked as she cooed to her

Luna then pointed to the shoes and smiled and laughed.

"Zap-par-ties?" She coaxed

"Zapatos Mija ". Imelda corrected

Imelda didn't mind stopping work to spend time with her darling Mija In fact she found the cutest distraction even though she would never admit openly.

"Mija?" Héctor called

"Where did you go off to Carina?" Héctor smiled as he looked everywhere for her

Imelda smirked as it reminded her of a time when Coco would hide from Héctor as a game to keep her distracted while Imelda cooked and she smiled at the memories as she knew those would be something she never forgot.

"Are you hiding from your Papá Héctor?" Imelda smiled

Little Luna nodded her head proudly as she put a hand on her Mamá Imelda's skull caressing her cheek bone.

Imelda got so wrapped up in the touch she felt like she was a mother again and leaned into her granddaughter's little hands knowing that this was something she treasured.

When Héctor enters the workshop and he finally found his runaway granddaughter he smiled.

"There you Mi Lunita". Héctor smiled

"Me hide ". She babbled

"Si". Héctor nodded

"Hiding from me I see, going straight to your Mamá Imelda ". Héctor put a hand on his hips

Luna giggles in her Mamá Imelda's arms as she smiled, Imelda on the hand chuckled and sighed at the conversation between the two.

"Luna darling you know not to distract your Mamá Imelda while she is working ". Héctor scolded lightly

Luna then turned her head straight to Imelda and pouted.

"Lo siento Mamá Melda". Luna apologises

"Estas bien Mija you were not doing anything wrong sweetheart ". Imelda said

"Besides you're Papá Héctor is not very good at seeking is he?" Imelda smirked

Luna shook her head and smiled.

Héctor looked taken aback at his little granddaughter and her motions.

"For your information I am very good at seeking she just got away from too quick that's all". Héctor replies

"Oh really then how come she came straight to me?" Imelda stated

Héctor knew his wife had a point so he kept his mouth shut and shook his head.

"Mamá Melda better at seek". Luna claimed

Héctor smiled and gently shook his head and went closer to Luna and Imelda and laughed.

"I guess she is, no can ever win against her Mija not even me". Héctor smiled

Imelda smiled and bounced Luna on her hip as she wasn't too heavy.

"Want to help your Mamá Imelda or finish with me?" Héctor asked

She pointed to Imelda's order she was finishing off and smiled.

"I guess it's settled then ". Héctor chuckled

"I go help Rosita start lunch before Miguel comes and picks her up". He added

"Great idea". Imelda smiled

So with he turned on his heel but not before giving his wife and granddaughter small kisses to show how much he loves them and imelda smiled.

As he left the workshop Imelda smiled thinking back to the days when he would do that with Coco and her.

She then sat Luna on a stool and smiled as she worked on her last order and Luna watched with intrigue and delight this was a moment Imelda would never forget.
