Passion – ( Part 1)
Daphne and Mirabel were working since they needed all hands on deck as granddaughter and grandmother sewed they talked and sung to make time go quicker.
"I swear you've gotten better Mija it's like you're a machine ". Daphne said
"Really Abuela a machine?" She coaxed
"Something along those lines". Daphne chuckled
Pablo then came in with Héctor talking about what to write next, As the two ladies put their work to rest and decided to take a break.
"Hola Mi Amor, Carina ". Pablo called
"And just what are you boys up to?" Daphne put a hand on her hips
"Oh god don't tell me Imelda kicked you out of the house again ". She asked
"No Daph for your information I wanted to get some peace and quiet." Héctor states
"To me Papá Héctor seems like you just wanted to get out of the house before Mamá Imelda could kick you out for making her loose her concentration so the next best thing you could do was come to us". Mirabel replies
Daphne burst out laughing at her granddaughter's remark and Héctor smiled and sighed.
"You got me Mija ". Héctor puts his hands up in surrender
"She gets this from you ". Pablo points to his wife
"And proud of it Abuelo ". Mirabel replies as she stared at her Abuelo In a playful way
"Actually we wanted to bring you some lunch". Héctor added
"That's so sweet hermano ". Daphne thanked
"Gracias ". Mirabel replies
"Besides if didn't give you your lunch Mija your Mamá would kill us if she was here". Pablo answers
"You've got that right ". She chuckled
"Actually Mi vida do you know where Ceci is I need to talk to her". Pablo asked
"In the painting quarters talking to Frida ". Daphne sighed
"Gracias ". He thanked
He then walked away to go and search for the seamstress while Héctor smiled as he stayed with his granddaughter in law and hermana .
"He'll never change ". Héctor sighed
Daphne sighed and nodded along with Mirabel .
"You can't expect him to Papá Héctor, I'd prefer the way he is". Mirabel replies
"Me too Mija ". Daphne cuddles with her close
Héctor chuckled as he brought the lunch around and smiled as they began unpacking the food for the break.
"So Mija anything new?" Héctor asked Mirabel
"Not Really why do you ask?" Mirabel replies
"Well from what I hear one of the costume designers and seamstresses dropped out of a job and they are looking for someone so I suggested you I hope you don't mind". Héctor shrugged
"Are you kidding?" Mirabel was shocked
Héctor shook his head and smiled.
"Where is it?" She asked
"México City just on the east side". He answers
Mirabel replies by hugging her grandfather tightly and smiling.
"Thank you so much". She thanked
Héctor smiled and chuckled at seeing how happy his granddaughter was.
"Mija do you know what this means?" Daphne nodded
Mirabel nodded happy and excited about this opportunity while poor Héctor was confused at what was going on.
"I don't know what's happening here?" Héctor coaxed
"I've always wanted to work in México city it's been my dream since I was little ". Mirabel explains
Héctor smiled and sighed.
"This might be your chance". Daphne called
"I'm glad I could help Mija ". Héctor smiled
Mirabel was excited and looking forward to the job she couldn't take the smile off her face that night as she went back home and slept excited for this new opportunity…
