In Class 1-A's dormitory...

Everyone was so exhausted from hero training that everyone just wanted to settle down in the common room. No one even bothered to go to their dorm rooms. Jirou felt so tired that she couldn't even get up to take a shower. She just sat there in her school uniform along with everyone else. Midoriya and Uraraka sat next to her, also feeling tired as well.

"Well that was quite the workout," Uraraka said to them as she fanned herself.

"Yeah. Mr. Aizawa wasn't exactly holding back," Midoriya said back, "And I don't even have my Miraculous on me. I thought that maybe he'd give me a break, but no. He just kept coming at us."

"No kidding," Jirou said to them, "I could barely see him coming. He came up right behind me, and I couldn't do anything about it."

"He even grabbed my tape and took me down so easily," Sero said as he walked into the room.

"I think he's finally starting to come back into teaching here," Iida said to them, "Even I didn't expect it coming."

Yaoyorozu ended up coming over with some iced tea since everyone was hot and sweating. Almost everyone went in to grab some and gulped it down pretty quickly.

"Thanks Yaoyorozu," Ashido said to her, "You're a lifesaver."

"It's no problem. I needed to use up this tea anyway," Yaoyorozu said back to them.

Then there was a knock at the door, and no one dared to get up. Yaoyorozu went to open the door and saw Marinette, Melissa and AllMight. Marinette looked like she was holding a backpack that wasn't hers, and her own backpack.

"Hi Marinette, Melissa and AllMight. What're you doing here?" Yaoyorozu asked her as she let them all inside.

"I just wanted to stop by since it's been a while," Marinette said to them, "I'm sure Melissa would love to say hi as well."

"Hey Deku! It's nice to see you again," Melissa said as she noticed how exhausted he looked, "Whoa Deku! You look exhausted. Did Mr. Aizawa train with you a little too hard?"

"Maybe," Midoriya said back, "Alright, yeah. He is, and I'm okay with it. That just means that he's finally getting back to normal and teaching just like he used to."

"Just don't push yourself, Young Midoriya," AllMight said back, "Don't forget, you still don't have your Miraculous back yet."

Marinette couldn't hold it back any longer and dug through her backpack to look for an invention. Everyone was curious as to what she was doing, and Midoriya looked over the couch to see her pull out a pair of gloves.

"Marinette, what is that for?" Midoriya asked her, "It doesn't look like something that you'd wear."

"Oh these? They're not for me," Marinette said back as she walked up to Bakugo.

Marinette noticed Bakugo looking a little confused as she walked over to him. She smiled and gave him the gloves, making him even more confused.

"These are for you, Katsuki," Marinette said to him, "I made them myself."

"What?!" Everyone cried out in unison.

"I made these gloves specifically for you. I noticed that you've been sweating a lot so I made these gloves so that you could use them under your clothes. They're tight enough to wear under them, and it won't get in the way of fighting and combat. I figured that you were having a hard time with your limited ammo, so this might help collect more," Marinette tried to explain as she pulled out more inventions from her backpack, "Me and Melissa even made more ammo canisters and grenades to storing them in."

Everyone was shocked that Marinette had done this, let alone make something for Bakugo of all people. Even he was a little bit speechless and still confused.

"Umm... Thank you..." Bakugo said back, "But why'd you make this for me? You could've picked anyone else."

"Yeah, but I figured that you needed something to help out with the time limit. That way you'll still have something with you when you detransform," Marinette said with a slight smile.

Bakugo took the invention and hesitated to put on the gloves. Eventually he put them on and noticed that they fit perfectly. They were tight enough to wear they could absorb his sweat and use it as ammo. There were even little attachments to the sides of the gloves to where he could put the ammo and have the sweat drip into them through a small tube inside of the gloves.

"This is umm... really nice of you..." Bakugo said, trying to be polite, "I umm... don't know what to say..."

Marinette noticed him getting flustered, and she couldn't help laugh at his slightly red cheeks. She smiled and gave him a hug which he definitely wasn't expecting. Everyone was shocked to see him get something so helpful from Marinette. She had just started inventing and engineering, and she already made something for Bakugo. Once she separated from Bakugo, her smile seemed to grow even more as she went right for a backpack that they didn't recognize. She opened it and took out something, but Marinette hid them before anyone could spot them.

"Oh my gosh. Don't tell me you made another invention?" Ashido asked her.

"Maybe," Marinette said back as she inconspicuously headed right for Jirou who was sitting next to Midoriya and Uraraka.

Once she turned towards Jirou, she instantly felt a little flustered and shocked to find out that she made something for her.

"M-Me?" Jirou pointed out with red cheeks, "You made something for me?"

Marinette then revealed what she made for her, and Jirou's eyes grew wide from shock and excitement.

"No way. Are these...?" Jirou asked as she reached out for them with sparkling eyes.

"Noise cancelling headphones? Yeah, they are," Marinette said back, "Me and Melissa were able to tweak them a bit so you could have more options with the noise cancelling settings. You can even plug in your earphone jacks to protect them."

Jirou looked at them closer as everyone else got a closer look at them. She even noticed that Marinette added her hero name initials on the sides of the headphones, making them one of a kind.

"I didn't even see the initials," Jirou said back to her, "These are amazing."

"This is so cool, Marinette!" Midoriya complimented with his eyes wide and sparkly.

"Okay, you've gotta make something for me," Kaminari said back.

"No way, you could totally make something even better with my quirk," Ashido said to her with a big smile.

"Everyone! Give Marinette some space," Iida said to all of them, "She just got started on inventing and engineering with Support class. If you give her some time and space, I'm sure she'll make something for you."

"Oh please. You want her to make something for you too," Sero said back to him.

Marinette and Melissa couldn't help but laugh at how funny Iida and the others were being. He kept waving his arms around to stop everyone from giving Marinette all of these inventions to make for them. She didn't mind, she definitely needed a good laugh out of him.

Then Marinette grabbed that black backpack and gave it to Jirou. Jirou was confused for a moment, but then realized how heavy it was. Her eyes lit up once she spotted the amplifier.

"No way! Is this what I think it is?" Jirou asked Marinette with sparkling eyes and a wide smile.

Marinette smiled so much that her cheeks started to hurt a little.

"What do you think it is?" Marinette asked back with a bit of a sway to her step.

"It's a backpack amplifier! I've always wanted one of these," Jirou said back as she looked at it some more, "This is actually for me?!"

"Yep. I even got it to have plug ins for your music, earphone jacks and even your guitar," Marinette said to her, "I heard that you play the guitar so I thought you'd like to have that as well."

Everyone started to crowd around Jirou just to get a good look at her new upgrades. Midoriya was so excited to finally see Jirou so happy, and Marinette and him shared a moment together. They both realized that Jirou was starting to feel better, and they hoped that she would get a better night sleep tonight.

Marinette noticed that Jirou was starting to tear up a little. Marinette walked up to her and noticed that she was smiling.

"I'm sorry... I just... Still feel weird about you and Adrien being together..." Jirou said to her, "I just... didn't ever think that you'd actually do this for me... After what happened in Paris... I thought that you'd want nothing to do with me... I wouldn't blame you..."

Marinette could tell that Jirou was still hurting a little from her and Adrien breaking up. With Marinette and Adrien together now, she knew that had to have felt pretty weird. Now that they were finally back in Japan, Marinette could tell that it just made things even more awkward. She placed her hand on top of Jirou's, making Jirou look up at her.

"Kyouka, I always saw you as a friend," Marinette said with a smile, "Even when things were a little awkward between us, I still worried and cared about you. I'm just hoping that we can get past this awkwardness and be friends again."

Marinette noticed that Jirou was hesitating for some reason. Whatever it was, she was starting to get flustered and red in the face. Marinette could that something was bothering her, and she couldn't get herself to be friends with her.

"Kyouka, what's wrong? You can tell me," Marinette said to her, "We're friends, aren't we?"

Jirou still couldn't get herself to agree to be friends with her, and everyone was worried about her. Even Midoriya didn't quite understand what was going on.

"Marinette... I don't know if I can be friends with you..." Jirou said back, shocking everyone in the room.

Marinette's heart skipped a beat and was very confused. But then she realized that this definitely had something to do with Adrien. She understood, but wanted to know why she felt this way. If she wasn't going to be friends with her, she at least deserved to know why.

"Kyouka, I understand if you don't want to be friends with me," Marinette said back to her, "I wouldn't blame you. Me and Adrien, we do care about each other, but I also care about you. I would like to know why we can't be friends."

Jirou felt so hot and red in the face as tears streamed down her face. Marinette held her hand tight, but Jirou pulled it away. Jirou even got up and walked over to the window. Marinette followed her along with everyone else who were very much worried about her at this point. After Jirou not saying anything, Marinette started to worry about her.

"Marinette, I can't tell you. I want to, but I know that you'll get mad at me," Jirou said back to her with tears streaming down her face.

"No I won't. Why would I be mad at you?" Marinette asked her, "I understand that things have been awkward between us, but you didn't do anything wrong."

"B-But I did!" Jirou cried out, surprising everyone.

It was silent for a moment as Jirou stood there crying. Marinette really wanted to give her a hug, but she could tell that she would just run away. Jirou tried to wipe away her tears, but they ended up just coming back. Everyone looked very worried about her and wanted to give her a big group hug.

Marinette took a step closer, but Jirou took a step back. Jirou looked at Marinette with her eyes and cheeks looking really red.

"I-I... I kissed Adrien..." Jirou confessed.

Marinette's heart skipped a beat and her stomach tightened up in knots the moment those words left her mouth. Everyone in the room was shocked to hear this, especially the ones that didn't go to Paris. Marinette didn't know what to do in that moment, but understood that Jirou clearly still had feelings for Adrien. Marinette still didn't expect Jirou to tell her that she kissed him.

"What?! You dated Adrien in Paris?!" Sero cried out.

"Well, this just got interesting," Mineta commented.

"Kyouka... you kissed Adrien...?" Marinette said back to her.

Jirou nodded, confirming that she did. Marinette tried not to get mad at her, but definitely felt her fists tighten up. She didn't want to be mad, in fact she wanted to be friends with her. But something about her kissing Adrien made her really uncomfortable. Marinette did all of this, made these inventions for her and then she finds out that she kissed her boyfriend.

"Kyouka. I at least want to know this," Marinette said to her, "Do you still have feelings for Adrien?"

"Marinette, maybe you should back off a little," Iida said to her, "Clearly she regrets what she did. We don't want everyone here upset."

"Please Iida. This is important," Marinette said back, "I need to know if she likes Adrien. He's my boyfriend after all."

"I'm sorry Marinette! I never meant to kiss him," Jirou said to her, "I just really needed to see him, and then things started to come back. Then the next thing I know, I kissed him."

Marinette then felt a little bit of frustration come over her as she remembered how much work she put into those inventions. She really wanted to be friends with her, and this is what happened. Jirou ended up kissing her boyfriend behind her back. Marinette clenched her fists and couldn't believe what she had done.

"Kyouka, I never kissed Adrien when you two were together. Yes, I felt uncomfortable about it when you two were together and felt the same way that you're feeling right now, but I would never do this to a friend," Marinette said to her, "I just wanted to be friends with you. I really thought that this would help you feel better."

"It did. I still want to be friends with you, but I just felt so uncomfortable with you and Adrien being here. I never thought that you two would even be going to this school in the first place," Jirou said back, "I actually thought that you two would still be in Paris."

"Oh. Kind of like how you all came to Paris out of nowhere and took my partner away from me," Marinette cried out, "Just when I thought me and Adrien were finally going to be together, you just came in and took him from me. I tried to deal with it and even helped you with your first date with him."

"You think I don't know that?! And I didn't take your partner from you! I was helping him get over his mother, and then helping him deal with you being akumatized!" Jirou cried out, "I was helping him through a lot while you got akumatized by HawkMoth! I had to fill in for him while he took care of you!"

Everyone started to noticed them arguing and tried to break them up. Marinette wasn't done yet.

"Are you kidding me?! I got akumatized, Kyouka! I couldn't do anything about it!" Marinette cried back, "I thought you'd know that by now! Adrien is and always will be my partner, and yet I let you date him?! I can't believe I actually let you date him! You still like him, don't you? Just admit it!"

"Marinette, Jirou! Calm down, please!" Midoriya tried to get through to them, "You're going to cause an akuma to show up."

"Not until she admits that she likes Adrien!" Marinette cried out, "He's my boyfriend! I deserve to know!"

"No! I don't like him!" Jirou cried back, "I'm in love with him! Why do you think I never wanted to tell you?!"

Marinette stopped in her tracks with her eyes wide and shocked. She couldn't believe what she just heard, and she had to give herself some time to process what she just said. Everyone stopped in their tracks and got nervous that Marinette might get upset again.

"You... love him...?" Marinette said back.

Jirou could barely look at her in that moment as she just stood there in silence. Marinette could barely move as she realized that Jirou never stopped liking him while they were dating. Now she's starting to fall for him. Marinette didn't know what to do in that moment and spotted the headphones on the couch. Marinette went for them without thinking and was about to break them. Before she could, Midoriya ran over to her to stop her from doing so.

"Marinette! I know that you're angry and upset, but this won't help anyone!" Midoriya cried out.

"She kissed Adrien behind my back!" Marinette cried back, "I actually thought that we could be friends!"

Midoriya tried to take the headphones, but then Jirou spotted an akuma flying over to the pair of headphones. With tears running down her face, she ran over to Midoriya and Marinette and pulled the headphones out of their grip. Jirou then noticed the akuma absorb into the headphones, causing everyone to back away from her.

"Jirou! No!" Midoriya cried out.

Jirou held her head as it began to hurt as the akuma tried to get through to her. Everyone tried to calm her down, but something was different about this akuma. Jirou noticed that Chrysalis wasn't even talking to her. She just felt upset and frustrated about what she had done.

"Kyouka, I'm sorry," Marinette said back to her, "Don't let the akuma get to you."

Jirou looked down at the headphones and remembered how good it felt to get these from Marinette just now. She felt so much better and really enjoyed hanging out with Marinette. In that moment, she forgot her feelings for Adrien and wanted to be friends with Marinette. She gripped onto the headphones, feeling how amazing it is that she has someone like Marinette around to make her something like this.

"Come on Jirou! You can fight this!" Ashido cried out.

Jirou clenched her teeth as she held onto the headphones.

"I'm not afraid of you..." Jirou said to the akuma, "Get out of my head...!"

Jirou flexed her arms out as she broke the connection with the akuma. She soon felt herself relax and collapse onto the ground. The akuma flew out of her headphones, and Marinette quickly transformed into Ladybug. She grabbed her yo-yo and caught it before it could fly away. Then she released it, and it flew out of the dormitory. Jirou was trying to catch her breath as everyone around her tried to help her up.

"Are you okay, Jirou? That was a close one," Ashido asked her.

Midoriya and Iida helped her up and brought her over to the couch. Yaoyorozu quickly grabbed her cup of iced tea, and Jirou sipped on it for a moment.

"Y-Yeah... I'm okay," Jirou said back, "I just... need a minute..."

Ladybug stood there as they took care of her. She couldn't believe what just happened and almost did. She looked at her headphones and picked them up from the floor. Ladybug walked up to Jirou and placed the headphones on the coffee table. She could barely look at her, realizing what could've happened in that moment.

"Kyouka... I'm sorry..."

Ladybug grabbed her backpack and detransformed as she ran out of the dormitory. Melissa tried to go after her, but decided to let her go. Marinette felt really bad for almost causing an akuma. And just when she was starting to become friends with Jirou. Then she remembered the reason why she was upset.

"I'm such an idiot..."

Another amazing chapter!

This was an interesting chapter to write! At first it turns out pretty great, Marinette gives Bakugo his invention! He seems to like it, so that's a plus! Then Marinette is so happy to finally give Jirou her new headphones and backpack!! Things escalate pretty quickly after that! Jirou just confessed that she kissed Adrien!! What?! Everyone knows that Adrien and Jirou were together! Marinette even realizes that Jirou's in love with him!

This was fun to write, but I do think I initially wanted it to be just happy and smiles. But then I thought Su Han's class and this is kind of thanks to that that Jirou didn't get akumatized.

Also, I love Jirou! Just want to point that out!!
