After waking up the next day the group began their preparations for their journey to find a gun store, or at the very least a place that had weapons inside. Everyone ate some breakfast which consisted of a few partially-melted candy bars, some gummy bears, four granola bars, half a bag of barbecue-flavored potato chips, trail mix, a few Twizzlers and also a couple of take-out boxes worth of room temperature leftovers that the group had taken with after eating lunch at a diner just the day before. After they finished, the dresser blocking the front door was moved out of the way and the group all gathered their belongings and walked outside together, being very cautious in case more of the psychos showed up. The group walked as close as they could to each other as they soon ended up a few blocks from the house and beginning to walk down another street.

Thankfully their search didn't last too long, as down the street they could make out a building that had a: "GUNS FOR SALE" sign right on the front. When they got closer it appeared to definitely be a gun store, and astonishingly it seemed like it had not been broken into yet. That meant that there could still be some weapons inside...

The group then hurried to get to the store and they made it to the entrance. After seeing that there appeared to be no crazy people around, Ulrich picked up a large stone and threw it straight at the large glass window at the front of the property, shattering it into hundreds of pieces. The alarm didn't trip though, since the building and every other building in the area was completely out of power. One by one the group cautiously made their way over the broken bits of glass and went inside the gun store, looking around for whatever they needed.

"Alright guys, spread out and grab what you can." Yumi informed everyone.

Everyone began to comb the building and they proceeded to check all of the display cases for any firearms and knives they could find. Ulrich's eyes lit up when he saw that a samurai sword with a black sheath was up on a display attached to a wall, and he immediately went to claim it as his own. The others went to cautiously break open all of the displays and to take whatever guns and ammunition were within them. Yumi managed to snag an AR-15 rifle, the only rifle of any kind that was in the entire store. Odd found a semi-automatic Glock pistol, Jeremie found a snub-nosed .38 caliber revolver, and Aelita found a Beretta 92 semi-automatic pistol that had pink handgrips which she found visually appealing since pink was obviously her favorite color. Yumi also made sure to hand a grateful Ulrich another snub-nosed revolver that she found, as a samurai sword by itself may not be enough. Everyone also made sure to each take a combat knife with them just to be extra cautious.

The store also had other stuff such as holsters for their weapons, much better military-grade backpacks and also military meals ready to eat, or MREs. Obviously the group gathered as much of these supplies and weapons as they could possibly carry and they quickly packed all of the extra guns, ammo and food into those new backpacks.

And with that the group was geared up and ready to go. The group figured out how to load magazines into their weapons and the bullets into their revolvers, and they also managed to figure out how to turn the safeties of their weapons on and off. Although still reluctant to actually fire these weapons in any capacity, they were ready to at least have the chance to do so. Hopefully they would have the willpower to use them if it came to it...

After leaving the gun store the group returned back at the house to gather the rest of their belongings, and once they did so they proceeded to leave and begin their journey towards the city of Atlanta, which was about thirty or forty miles away. Their friends had to be somewhere close to the city...

They all had to still be alive...

The hours went by and the group kept walking and walking in what they believed was the direction towards Atlanta, making sure to keep an eye out for the crazy people the entire time. Thankfully and much to their relief they didn't run into a single one of them. After getting about ten or eleven miles from their fortified house the group went up an entrance to a highway and kept going until they reached an overpass that was above another highway, their eyes widening once they noticed that there was a long traffic jam of burnt out and destroyed cars that seemed to stretch on forever on the highway they were still on. Much to their horror they also saw what seemed to be dozens of dead bodies littered everywhere, all of them burnt to a crisp.

"Jesus Christ..." Ulrich whispered with disbelief at what he was seeing.

Slowly but surely they made their way through the hellish scene, taking in all it had to offer. The things they were seeing at that moment were burned into their brains and unfortunately they would remember all of this for the rest of their lives... That's when Aelita screamed with horror when she saw one of the bodies beginning to stir, followed by another, and then another after that...

Soon the group could see several of the burnt corpses stand and turn to face them, growling as they slowly began to limp and make their way towards these prospective meals. In a panic, Yumi raised her rifle and she fired off a few rounds at the closest walking corpse that approached, hitting it in both the arm and the chest. To her shock the body didn't even seem fazed by this! The corpse quickly tried to grab Yumi, but Aelita immediately raised her pistol and aimed at the head of the corpse attacking Yumi and she pulled the trigger before it could grab her. Although Yumi's face was now covered with the corpse's blood and bits of its brains the corpse itself immediately fell straight to the ground, causing Aelita's eyes to widen with a horrified realization at what she had just done even if it was to save her friend.

...she felt like she had just become a murderer.

"We've gotta get the hell out of here!" Ulrich exclaimed as he unsheathed his sword, threateningly aiming it towards a walking corpse.

"They're not afraid at all?! They're still coming!" Jeremie exclaimed as he threateningly aimed his revolver at another corpse.

Yumi was frozen from shock and horror as she stared down at the corpse that tried to attack her, still having its blood all over her face. She still kept a tight hold on her rifle with one hand as she shakily used the shirt sleeve of her right arm to wipe the blood off of her face before she heard another gunshot, making her flinch. She turned just in time to see that Odd had shot one of the corpses right in the heart... but like what originally happened with the corpse that attacked Yumi, this corpse was still walking towards Odd like nothing had happened to it.

"I just shot that guy in the heart, guys! He isn't going down!" Odd exclaimed as he slowly backed from the approaching walking corpse.

"They're on us, guys! We need to think of something!" Ulrich stated as he slashed at one of the walking corpses.

After slicing at one of the walking corpses, Ulrich was stunned to see that he had succeeded in slicing its left arm clean off of its body, and he was absolutely horrified to see that the corpse was still trying to attack him. But then he suddenly remembered that Aelita had killed one of them just moments ago by shooting it right in the head... could that be some sort of a weak spot? Like the symbols on XANA's monsters in Lyoko...?

Ulrich frowned and he immediately raised his sword to slash right at the walking corpse's head, cutting it clean in two. With that the corpse quickly fell to the ground and was no longer a threat, causing Ulrich's eyes to widen as he looked back up at his friends.

"Guys, we all need to aim for the head! That's their weak spot! Like the symbols on XANA's monsters!" Ulrich announced to the others as he slashed at the head of another walking corpse, killing this one as well.

The others all heard Ulrich's announcement and they did exactly as he said. They all aimed for the heads of the walking dead that was among them, and one by one the corpses suddenly began to drop around them with every hit...

One walker down, then two, then three and four and five...

Then six, then seven, eight, nine, ten...

Eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen...

Sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty...

The group was supposed to be horrified at what they were doing to these people, whatever they were now, but they had to focus more on staying alive than their own feelings. Unfortunately despite killing many of these walking corpses they could see that more were coming in from down the highway and from the way they came up, meaning that they now had to find a way out before they could be overrun by them from two directions.

"Anyone see a way out of here?!" Jeremie asked.

"No, but keep looking! We can't go forward or back!" Odd shouted back at the genius.

The group just simply kept fighting for their lives and just hoped to God that this wouldn't be the end... Suddenly the group could hear a loud police siren very close to where they were at. The group was shocked at hearing this and they immediately began looking around for the source of the noise, and when Aelita ran to look over the side of the overpass she found it. The source was a King County Sheriff's Department police car, and she could see a man in a sheriff's deputy uniform getting out in order to walk to the front of the car to gesture up at her.

"Hey! You all need help up there?!" The man asked to her.

"Who are you?! Are you a police officer?!" Aelita asked.

"Yes, I am! You look like you're in trouble! Is there any way you can get down here to my car?!" the man asked.

Aelita told him that she would check and she rapidly began to look for a way down off the overpass to the officer. The others had heard the exchange and they knew a cop was now around to help, but they were too busy fighting off the walking corpses to chat about it. She noticed that nearby there was a burnt out firetruck, which meant that there could be some sort of a really long ladder on it if they were really lucky.

"Yumi, I need you to help me with this!" Aelita yelled before she suddenly began to sprint towards the firetruck in order to get the ladder.

Yumi immediately ran after her pink-haired friend to help her with the ladder and to watch her back as the others focused on trying to keep the walking corpses away from the two teens. The police officer was still standing under the overpass and was watching the scene and hearing all of the gunshots with a large feeling of worry, as he had absolutely no idea if these teens were going to survive this or not. He saw a few of the walking corpses try to attack Jeremie and Ulrich behind, but he pulled a Colt Python revolver out of his holster and fired off a couple of rounds straight at the heads of those walking corpses, taking them both down before they could harm either of the teens, who turned to nod in gratitude at the police officer before they resumed covering Yumi and Aelita.

Thankfully after another few moments the officer suddenly saw a ladder being extended from the top of the overpass and slowly lowered over the side, being just long enough to be able to be propped up as he ran to grab onto it and give it some support. After that the teens began to climb their way down one by one. Ulrich was the last to go down and he just barely managed to get down the ladder before any of the walking corpses could grab at his clothes or his hair.

After all of the teens had gotten to the ground they almost collapsed onto the asphalt with exhaustion, but the fact of the matter was that they were still alive. Somehow they had the luck to escape that bad situation up there on the overpass... The officer ran to the ladder and he pushed it over to make it land on its side so the walking corpses couldn't push it forwards and make it land on any of the teens. He then went over to help the teens up one by one, picking up their backpacks to bring them to his car as well.

"Y'all need a ride...?" The officer asked the teens as he set their backpacks against the patrol car.

The teens all glanced over at the officer and they all made themselves get up and onto their feet, and they proceeded to pick up their weapons as well. After that all of them approached the police officer, with Jeremie going up to shake his hand.

"Thanks for helping us, sir..." Jeremie said on behalf of the group.

"Yeah, we almost became lunch to those things..." Odd added, still not being sure what to call the walking corpses.

The officer nodded and he accepted Jeremie's handshake. After that he crossed his arms and leaned against his patrol car to take in the appearances of the group. The girl having pink hair was pretty unusual, but he also saw that the group in general appeared to be very tired. He knew that they probably wouldn't be able to get to wherever they were heading to on foot, at least not any time soon. They would definitely need a ride... Thankfully he had enough gas to get a bit further towards Atlanta, so if he couldn't get them exactly to where they wanted he could still get them at least another twenty or thirty miles towards the city perhaps.

"Walkers... Those things are called 'Walkers'." The officer informed the teens after noticing Odd's hesitance to give them an actual name.

"Walkers..." Aelita repeated to herself before she glanced back up at the overpass, seeing several of the walkers trying to reach down towards the living for a fresh meal.

The officer glanced up at the walkers as well before he went to the doors of the police car and opened all of them for the group, gesturing towards one of the doors as if he was offering them a ride. The group all glanced at each other for a moment out of caution, but despite their concerns they had to get to Atlanta and find the others. Accepting the ride would cut a lot of time and exhaustion in the future... So one by one the teens all grabbed their backpacks and climbed into the police car. Odd took the passenger seat, Ulrich got in the left side of the back, Yumi sat in the middle next to him. Jeremie and Aelita both glanced at the last remaining seat and they weren't fully sure on what to do about this new problem, but with a blush forming on their faces they both figured it out pretty quickly. Jeremie sat down on the seat and Aelita climbed to sit down on his lap, drawing glances and a few snickers from the other teens. The officer also chuckled a bit before he proceeded to resume driving down the highway, towards the city of Atlanta.

"So who are all of you? What're your names?" the officer asked.

"Well... My name's Yumi Ishiyama." Yumi hesitantly replied as an introduction. "The others are Jeremie Belpois, Aelita Schaeffer, Odd Della Robia and Ulrich Stern." she added, naming off the other teens as she gestured to them one at a time.

The officer nodded at hearing their names as he drove through the highway, slowing down a bit to bypass some wrecked cars that were littered here and there along the asphalt. The group could see a sign that read that they were somewhere on Highway 85, which would take them directly towards the city of Atlanta.

"Nice to meet you... I'm Officer Rick Grimes, King County Sheriff's Department." The officer, 'Rick' introduced himself. "So where're you all from, anyway? What's your story?" he asked.

"France. We were on our spring break and my brother, step-brother, and a bunch of our friends all left for America. We all flew in to New York and drove down here to surprise them, but then all of this stuff began to happen... We're going to look for them." Aelita replied.

"I'm sorry to hear that... I know how you feel though. I'm looking for some people too. My wife and my son..." Rick commented. "I got shot a while back, was in a coma... but a couple of days ago I finally woke up. A man and his son helped save my life, fed me, told me about all of the stuff that's going on... but now I'm looking for my family. I heard they could be near Atlanta..." he spoke.

The group was all taken aback at hearing Rick's story and all of the things that had happened to him. He got shot and fell into a coma, and then he woke into this hellish situation with his family being lost somewhere in the abyss...? Poor guy...

"Our friends are near Atlanta as well, or at least they should be... Do you know if those walkers are in the city as well? Do you know if the walkers are only here in Georgia?" Aelita asked.

"I don't know... but from what I have seen, the situation's pretty bad." Rick sighed. "The government apparently rounded up everyone they could in the big cities, tried to keep them safe for as long as they could... Beyond that I have no idea what's going on aside from seeing the walking dead everywhere." he added.

"Then Atlanta's definitely got to be our best chance at finding our friends. We just need to hope that they made it to one of those camps..." Jeremie stated.

Rick nodded in agreement and he continued to drive himself and the group down Highway 85. After a few moments he reached down to turn on his police radio, and then he grabbed the speaker and brought it up to his lips as he stared at the road. He had to check to see if anyone out there could hear him...

"Hello? Can anyone hear my voice...?" Rick asked.

No answer...

"Anybody out there? Anybody hears me, please respond..." Rick said again.

Silence...

"Hello? Hello, can anybody hear my voice...?" Rick asked one more time.

About thirty miles ahead of the group laid a small survivor's camp near a quarry that was just outside of the city of Atlanta. A pair of teenagers named were playing cards with each other near a radio setup that was sitting on a tree stump. One of the teens had shoulder-length black hair with differing blue and hazel eyes thanks to a heterochromia condition, and he was wearing a red t-shirt and a grey sleeveless hoodie over it along with a pair of black jeans and black boots. The other teen had short dark brown hair with dark hazel eyes, and he was wearing a white shirt with a black skull on it along with a brown leather jacket, a pair of grey cargo pants and also black and white low-top sneakers on as well. Their names were Dylan Enheart and Patrick Hartnell, two of the Lyoko Warriors.

The other survivors and the other Lyoko Warriors in the group were off doing their own things around the camp, such as chores or just simply hanging out with one another. But suddenly the pair could hear some static come out of the radio followed by a very faint voice, causing their eyes to widen as they dropped their cards.

"What the hell?!" Patrick asked as his eyes widened.

Dylan immediately sprung out of his chair and hurried over to the radio with Patrick following suit. Dylan grabbed the speaker and pressed the talk button as several others hurried over, as they all heard the radio as well.

"Hello? Can you hear me?" Dylan asked.

"Can you hear my voice?" a man asked through the radio.

Everyone's eyes widened at hearing this man speaking to them. Whoever he was, he was the first proof that there was indeed other survivors out there beyond their camp.

"Yes, I can hear you! You're coming through, over!" Dylan said into the speaker.

"If anybody reads, please respond." the man said in the radio.

Everyone immediately could tell that although this man's messages were being received, their own messages weren't getting through to his end. Whoever this man was, they needed to try and figure out a way to communicate with him.

"Broadcasting on emergency channel... Will be approaching Atlanta on Highway 85... If anybody reads, please respond." the man said through the radio.

"Hello?!" Dylan asked as his eyes widened at the mention of Atlanta.

After also hearing the man mentioning the city of Atlanta, Patrick hurriedly snatched the speaker from Dylan as he also wanted to attempt to get through to this man.

"Hello? Listen, we're just outside the city-" Patrick began to say before he was interrupted.

Unfortunately Patrick was interrupted by the sound of static coming from the radio, meaning that now they had definitely lost all contact with whoever was on the other end, much to the group's disappointment.

"Dammit... Hello? Hello...?" Patrick asked.

Patrick sighed with frustration and kept the speaker clutched in his hand as he turned to look up at the others who had gathered at the scene.

"He couldn't hear me... I couldn't warn him!" Patrick announced.

"Try to raise him again." Another survivor named Dale said.

More of the camp survivors walked over to the scene to find out what was going on. Among them was the other Lyoko Warriors such as Dylan's brother Chase and Patrick's girlfriend Verity Clinton, along with Chase's girlfriend Jennifer Hudson, who was really furious at the moment since someone at the camp had moments earlier joked that her name sounded exactly like the name of an actress she didn't like at all, which was something she absolutely very much hated to hear. The other Lyoko Warriors Kyra Kensely, Miranda Lamberse, Alexandr Myakofsky, Charles Ligget, Dylan's girlfriend Rebecca Townley and also Robert Smith also arrived to see what was happening. The majority of these Lyoko Warriors were actually Americans, but Alexandr was from Russia, Kyra was Canadian, Charles was from Australia and Rebecca was English.

Describing the appearance of these Lyoko Warriors, Verity for starters was a girl with black hair that stretched down to her shoulders and amethyst-colored eyes that her new boyfriend and oldest friend Patrick thought was the most beautiful things on planet earth, and she also had a small number of freckles that dotted around her face. She was also wearing a grey denim jacket that had a black tank-top under it, along with blue jeans and black and white sneakers. Verity had a holster for her handgun that usually would be on her hip, but it was actually in her and Patrick's tent right at the moment.

Chase had messy dark brown-colored hair which was an almost exact copy of his sister Aelita's normal hair appearance aside from color, and like Dylan he also had two different colored eyes due to heterochromia, but the difference was that his eyes were green and blue rather than hazel and blue. He was wearing a green long sleeve shirt that had a black and cotton jacket with green accents over it, and he was likewise also wearing a pair of blue jeans and had white track shoes on. He also had a brown shoulder holder on the outside of his jacket for his old M1911 pistol as well.

Jennifer had long chestnut-colored hair that was bundled up into a small and neat-looking ponytail. The medium-tanned Texan girl was also wearing a simple white tank top with dark blue jeans, a belt with a silver star buckle and a pair of brown leather cowboy boots, along with a gunbelt and holster on her waist for her Colt revolver. Her face was scrunched up in anger on account of the person who moments earlier had equated her with the actress she hated, but her boyfriend Chase always thought that this expression was incomprehensibly adorable.

Kyra Kensely was a redhead and she was happy to be one! Her neat and straight bright copper-colored hair only reached down to her shoulders and it was joined with a ton of freckles on her face along with her amber-colored eyes. Her outfit consisted of a black long sleeve shirt under a white and black tracksuit with black running shoes, and Kyra also had a small silver necklace that had a red and silver Canadian-styled maple leaf as its pendant. She usually had a bolt-action hunting rifle with her over the last few days, but alas a part of it was busted at the moment and needed to be repaired somehow. For the moment, she had to settle for a simple pocket knife.

Rebecca Townley had short golden-blonde hair that was in a classic Bob style, and it reached all the way down to her shoulders along with bangs that reached down far enough to cover several parts of her eyebrows. Her eyes were the same shade of blue as an ocean, and her boyfriend Dylan could easily lose himself for hours if he stared at them in a loving admiration. Rebecca was wearing a white long sleeve shirt that had a pair of really small Union Jacks planted on opposite sides of its collar, along with a pair of light blue jeans. Her sneakers were blue and black colored, and she had a pair of small gold-colored butterfly-shaped earrings on as well.

Alexandr had slightly unkempt raven-black colored hair that reached down to his shoulders, and his eyes were colored as a very stark-appearing grey. His skin was pretty pale and his clothing consisted of a longsleeve shirt with a t-shirt over that, jeans and track shoes. Every bit of his clothing was colored black, and at first glance it would be completely easy to see that both Alexandr and Yumi had a very similar type of attachment to black clothing, bar none. One thing that was not colored black on his person was a small silver necklace that had a nostalgic Russian-style hammer and sickle pendant, as it was red and gold.

Miranda was wearing a white crop-top and she was wearing a pair of moonwashed tapered jeans and dark green laceless slip-on shoes. The girl herself had hair that was colored Swedish blonde and her hair itself loosely hung down all the way to around the middle of her back, while her eyes were an attractive emerald green color that was just merely a shade or two off from looking exactly like a copy of Aelita Schaeffer's. She had a few visible scars on her arms due to sports injuries along with a few fights she had gotten into with others while in her native Tennessee and later Kadic Academy, much to the chagrin of her friends.

Charles Liggit? He was an Aussie, enough said... In all seriousness though, Charles had hair that was in the same category of color as milk-chocolate, although it wasn't easy to see as his hair was currently in a buzz cut style. His clothing consisted of a red and white bomber jacket that was over a blue short-sleeved shirt, along with a pair of wide leg white-colored jeans and white high-top sneakers. His blue shirt had a white outline of the Australian continent with a silhouetted white kangaroo on the inside of it, and he also had a necklace that was merely just a simple string with a shark's tooth as a pendant.

Robert Smith's hair color was strawberry-blonde and it was long enough to reach down to his shoulders, and he had a small bandage on his left cheek due to getting injured by a piece of shrapnel while he was escaping Atlanta with the others several days earlier. His eye-color was a light blue but he also had a partial bit of heterochromia that caused a small sliver of the iris on his right eye to be green, although this wasn't full heterochromia like how Chase or Dylan's eyes were. Robert's clothes consisted of a camouflaged hunter's jacket with a pair of black cargo pants and dark brown hiking boots, along with his recently-passed sister Amy's necklace that had a silver dolphin pendant.

In any event the group was still heading to the radio to see what was happening. After these Lyoko Warriors got there, along came some of the other survivors of the camp such as the seemingly-widowed Lori Grimes and her son Carl, along with a girl named Amy Harrison and another man who was a former police officer named Shane Walsh.

"Come on, son, you know best how to work this thing." Dale said to Shane.

The group watched as Shane approached the radio. He had an axe in his hand as he approached, but he quickly thrust it into the tree stump and he also took the speaker from Patrick in order to try and communicate with the stranger.

"Hello, hello, is the person who called still on the air?" Shane asked.

Silence...

"This is Officer Shane Walsh broadcasting to person unknown. Please respond..." Shane again.

Unfortunately the only thing the group continued to hear was the soft crackling of the radio. Whoever was on the other end of the line was now gone... Shane sighed and set the speaker back down on the stump before he lowered his head, simply giving a resigned nod before he looked back up at the others.

"He's gone..." Shane informed.

"There are others. It's not just us..." Chase stated as he crossed his arms.

"We knew there would be, right? That's why we left the CB on..." Kyra shrugged.

"A lot of sodding good it's been doing... We've been here for days and until now we haven't heard anything from anyone." Rebecca commented.

The others still couldn't believe what they had just heard... There was definitely others alive out there still, thank God. But whoever was on the other end of the radio was heading straight towards Atlanta, which was incredibly dangerous... the city was full of the dead. If they go into Atlanta then they most likely wouldn't come out alive...

"And I've been saying for a week that we 'ought to put signs on eighty-five and warn people away from the city." Lori stated.

"Folks got no idea what they're getting into..." Amy sighed as she crossed her arms.

The group all knew that Amy was right... Atlanta was hell on earth at the moment. For all they knew there wasn't anyone alive in the city at all, aside from a team from the group that was sent to the city earlier that day to get supplies. However, Shane truly believed that they couldn't risk sending anyone out to put up those signs, as it was very risky to move through the streets these days. Walkers were everywhere...

"Well, we haven't had time..." Shane retorted.

"I think we need to make time... People's lives are at risk, Shane." Verity frowned.

"Yeah, that- that's a luxury we can't afford." Shane replied with a sigh, trying his hardest to show the others his point of view on the situation. "We are surviving here. We are day to day..." he added.

"And who in the hell would you propose to send?" Dale asked.

"I'll go. Give me a vehicle..." Lori sternly replied to the others.

"Nobody goes anywhere alone. You know that..." Shane quickly replied.

Lori was very angered at hearing Shane's words. People were dying with every single attempt at entering the city of Atlanta! They HAD to at least try to warn some of them... but Shane would rather just sit and hide in the camp. If her husband was still alive then he probably would've tried without a second thought. Whatever the case, Lori simply rolled her eyes and turned her back to Shane as she began to walk back to her tent.

"Yes sir..." Lori frowned, her voice reeking with sarcasm and annoyance.

Carl tried to follow his mother back to their tent but Shane got him to stop and to go and sit down on a nearby chair, with Shane himself quickly walking after Lori to speak with her and to try and calm her down a bit, as storming off like that definitely frightened the boy as he had already lost his father. The other survivors then went about their business, whereas the Lyoko Warriors all decided to meet up near the CB to discuss what had happened. At that moment at least one person was heading straight towards death... could they find a way to save that person?

"We can't let that person go into Atlanta..." Charles stated to the others.

"Damn right... The place is hell right now. What can we do to stop them...?" Jennifer asked.

The Lyoko Warriors all looked at each other as if to see if any one of them had any ideas. They couldn't let Shane find out what they were going to do, so they had to think of a way to sneak out of camp without him noticing. That meant that all eleven of them couldn't go together... but maybe three or four of them could?

"I vote that only four of us goes out there..." Miranda commented. "Four of us grab some weapons, head out to find a car, and then try to stop these guys before its too late." she added.

"That can definitely work. Smaller group means less risk... The rest of us can stay to keep Shane off your tail." Alexandr added.

"Who'll go?" Kyra asked.

"Me, Chase, you and Rebecca... The less of us, the better." Dylan stated. "While we're out trying to warn them maybe we can scavenge some supplies as well. The camp definitely needs them..." he added.

With that the group nodded in confirmation at each other and the four runners proceeded to go to their tents to gather their backpacks, knives and firearms in order to go on their trip. The others in the group went to do whatever tasks they had to do that day, aside from Verity and Patrick as they had a date near the bottom of the quarry. It was as far from romantic as they could think of, but it was either that or head somewhere where there would most likely be walkers. Alexandr went to chop firewood, Kyra and Charles went to go and wash some clothes and Miranda went to join Dale on top of the RV and to keep an eye out for trouble.

Robert, however, walked to his tent to gather a few flowers he picked earlier that morning. After that he went to walk along the rim of the quarry and away from the camp. He didn't go too far from it though, and he stopped once he reached a small clearing in the trees that showed a really beautiful view of the quarry and the Atlanta skyscrapers far in the distance, just over the rim of the treeline. Robert crouched in front of a small handmade wooden cross that stood on a grave. His sister's grave... Amy Smith was only eleven years old when she died... Robert sighed and placed the flowers down on the grave before he sadly gave the cross a kiss, and without saying a word he stood up and began to head back to camp.

He had no idea if the others back in France were even alive at that point... he hoped they were, though. He really did...
