Chapter 9
I couldn't believe my ears. She must be lying! I thought. "Can you tell me how you got this?" I asked again.
"I really don't remember," said Cynelith a little bit angrily. "And also, this is my private thing. I don't think you should search my bag."
"You can't get this kind of book in your time!" I shouted. I felt a little bit impatient. Why didn't she want to tell me? "I wish I could get the answer. Because if you have been to my world and gotten that book, you must know the way to get there."
"I don't know what you're talking about," said Cynelith with more anger. "Have some sleep; you must be very tired."
I stood up and got out of the room, pretending not to hear Cynelith's question: "Where are you going?" I walked straight to the place with the silver bowl and the water. I looked inside the water.
But this time, the water didn't swirl like the last time I saw it. It was as smooth as a mirror and reflected my face. "Oh, come on!" I said to the water. "Show me something about Cynelith, please!"
The water began to swirl, but it showed nothing except for one word: NOPE.
"What a stupid, evil water!" I thought I was going to explode with rage. Even a bowl of water could laugh at me!
I walked away angrily. Suddenly, I felt some wind trap me. The smell of the wind was so similar, just like…
…grass and persimmon!
The wind carried me up. Suddenly, I saw a fissure! It was really, really large and inside of it was black and a bit sparkly. I saw my fissure-piece necklace start to glow. It was a little bit hot and excited to be close to the place it came from.
I felt so happy, so I walked into the fissure. Maybe I can go home this way, I thought. I will put the stone back into the fissure after I get back.
Inside the fissure, it felt a little cool. I turned my head around again to take one last look at The Lord of the Rings world. But then I saw something that made my blood run cold.
Cynelith was standing near the silver bowl. She looked super surprised. There was a short sword in her hand. On the ground there were the dead bodies of some orcs.
Is there a fight in the Lothlórien forest? But I didn't have any more time to think because the fissure closed right in front of my very eyes.
Suddenly, I realized that I was still in the fissure. "Last time, nothing happened!" I shouted to myself. "I don't want to be trapped in this cold, dark place!"
Just then, I saw some tiny sparkling lights, and I was floating in a place just like Earth's atmosphere. There were many sparkling dots that were shining all around me. I wanted to look at the closest one, so I swam to it.
I looked at the star. It looked like a window, but I couldn't go in because something like a wall was stopping me. I took a peek inside the window. I saw a boy's room and some toys. Suddenly, the toys began to move. It seemed like something that would happen in the movie Toy Story.
Whaaaat, I thought, and swam to another sparkling window. This time, I found that I could go into the window because nothing was stopping me. So I stuck my head inside the window. This time, I saw some colorful horses running around! That was very similar to the movie My Little Pony.
I tried to swim to the third window I saw, but this time, the wall stopped me when it was still far away. So I kept swimming.
At last, I saw a big glowing thing. It wasn't a window anymore; it looked like a door. I swam into it.
