The Saiyan Devil
Chapter 9
Celeon was on the defensive, blocking attacks from Basil and Lavender, while Goku and Bergamo were exchanging attacks. The Saiyan team-up was proving to be beneficial as both of them had trained together, so they were in perfect sync.
Celeon brought out his arms and blocked an incoming kick from Basil and a poison-coated punch from Lavender, with the latter being shocked his poison wasn't affecting Celeon.
"H-How! My poison should be running its course!"
Celeon flipped Basil away and pushed back Lavender. "Your poison trick is paltry, I had enough time to train and find a countermeasure. You're not the only one who has corrosive powers. My ki acts as a remedy to any outside diseases, which includes Poison."
"No, no, NO! I REFUSE TO LET YOU SHOW US UP!"
Celeon went back to blocking attacks from the Trio De Dangers.
Goku on the other hand was now dealing with the rest of Universe 9, as they all decided to step in and help Bergamo. Goku was dodging swift and sharp slash attacks from the one called Hop, who was beginning to annoy Goku. The one called Hyssop stood behind and looked to be waiting for an opening. The one called Oregano was connecting some attacks onto Goku, as well as Comfrey.
Celeon turned his eye for a moment to get a look at Goku's situation and began to think of something to turn the tide. He knew Goku was gonna get overwhelmed at some point, and Basil and Lavender were proving to be more of an annoyance than an actual fight.
"HA!"
Celeon blasted Basil and Lavender away as he turned Super Saiyan.
"THAT'S THE WAY! CELEON! TAKE OUT THOSE UNIVERSE NINE TRASHBAGS!"
"Tch, that damn transformation," Basil said as he wiped his mouth.
Lavender instinctively took a step back seeing the golden form brighten up the area, the fight back to Gohan flashing in mind. "I-I HATE YOU DAMN SAIYANS!"
Lavender rushed in a blind rage, ignoring Basil's call. Celeon stared at the approaching Lavender with a frown before he breezed past the hunched wolf. Celeon's speed shocked Lavender, but the universe 9 fighter spun around to attack, but Celeon jumped and flipped and delivered a nasty and brutal kick to Lavender's back, breaking the stadium floor and leaving Lavender in a hole.
Celeon landed back on the ground a few feet away and looked toward Basil. "You're next."
"Tch! This guy is stronger than the one I fought," Basil said as he began to weigh his options. Lavender was out of commission right now and Bergamo was busy with Goku.
Goku jumped back and landed next to Celeon. "Seems like you're having it easy."
The Universe 9 fighters all began to regroup and readied themselves for another assault.
"Let me handle it from here."
Goku was surprised by Celeon's request but didn't show it. Goku knew that the Saiyan was beginning to enjoy fighting even more than before.
"Yeah, I'll leave it to you. You better make it to the finals!"
"You bet!"
"Ha! Hey, Beerus! You should thank me for helping you out, looks like Goku was in a real bind."
"SHUT UP CHAMPA!" Beerus shouted with his teeth bared.
"HAHAHA!" Champa's laughter did nothing more than infuriate Beerus, getting the Destroyer of universe 7 to look back at the fighting. Thankfully no one from his universe was sitting next to him yet.
"Being arrogant must be a thing you Saiyans have in common," Bergamo spoke up as he pulled out a furious Lavender from the hole
"It's not arrogance if you can back it up, now come at me!"
"Heh, he has a pretty face, I can't wait…TO SLICE IT UP!"
Hop was the first of universe 9 to run in, she lifted herself off the ground and went for a sharp spinning kick, but Celeon moved his body back avoiding it, but Hop was fast and spun with her claws flowing up diagonally, barely scratching Celeon's face. The young Saiyan soon found himself being on defense, as Hop was beginning to strike wildly. It didn't help that Comfrey and Oregano were also attacking him.
Celeon saw an opening and grabbed it, sending out ki claws that stopped the three universes 9 attackers and sent them back.
"You ready Lavender?" Bergamo asked as Lavender stopped shaking.
"Yes, let's go!"
Bergamo cracked a grin. "Great!"
The Trio De Dangers rushed in, with Basil taking the left and Lavender on the right, and Bergamo center. Celeon couldn't help but admire the sibling bond the three wolf men possessed, it made them strong.
"HYAH!"
Basil went for rapid kicks while Lavender went for punches, hoping to still inflict Celeon with poison. Celeon despite being in a Super Saiyan, was beginning to see why Goku was getting overwhelmed, this was tough. The wolf brothers were all coordinated.
"Eat this!"
Celeon felt a stinging in their nose as he stumbled back.
"Didn't like that did you?"
"What's happening? Celeon should be able to wipe these guys off the board!" Champa said as he gripped the stands.
"Your first mistake was taking our universe for granted. Now you'll pay with a ring out!" Bergamo cloaked his hands in a red aura and went for a fast array of punches.
Celeon was able to easily block these punches, but he felt his ribs get hit getting him to jump back.
"NOW HYSSOP!"
"RIGHT!"
The monster opened his mouth and shot a beam of ice, seeing this, Celeon rose his right arm to block the incoming attack, but to his shock, his arm was encased in a block of chilly ice.
"Shit…not good," Celeon said as he looked at his frozen hands. "That guy is hanging back, waiting for me to jump away and blast me. While the cat girl can keep me on my toes. The real problem is the brothers."
"GOT COLD FEET!"
Celeon didn't have time to think as Hop and Lavender were in pursuit. Celeon needed to end this now!
As Hop approached, Celeon quickly bashed her in the head with his frozen arm, so hard it threw her into Hyssop.
"OUT OF THE ARENA!"
Celeon shot an Eraser Kamehameha wave directly into Hyssop and Hop, strong enough to push them over the stadium and ring them out.
"Damnit! Hop and Hyssop!" Bergamo charged in recklessly, along with Lavender and Basil.
"I'm knocking you all out! HA!"
Celeon charged up, electricity sparking around his body. Basil went for a double kick, but it was easily blocked by Celeon pushing him aside. Lavender came from the left, hoping to strike Celeon, but the Saiyan used Basil as a club and slammed him into the yellow wolf, knocking them away.
Bergamo roared as he went for a right jab, but Celeon blocked it and attacked with his own jab, leading to more successful attacks, however, Bergamo seemed to take these hits easily as he absorbed the force behind them into himself, increasing his size.
Right now, Bergamo was towering over Celeon. However, that was only due to Celeon's power. Bergamo didn't have his own strength. This is why Celeon would never lose to such a fighter.
"EAT THIS! SHINING BLASTER!"
Basil spun around, forming a large, red ki ball and shooting it at Celeon. The Saiyan seeing this went on the defense and sent a ki claw at the blast, blocking the attack in mid-air and causing an explosion. Celeon was then covered by the smoke.
"NOW!" Bergamo shouted.
The smoke cleared and Lavender appeared and landed a devastating punch to Celeon's stomach, causing the Saiyan to spit. Bergamo followed up with his own punch as Lavender jumped back.
"That should teach that fool from universe six not to mess with the Trio De Danger!" Roh spoke with evil glee.
"Hmm," Sidra didn't speak on the fight, as all he could do is have faith that his fighters pull through in the tournament.
"Good work," Bergamo remarked as he went back to normal size. "I'm finally able to shift my sizes at will. Seems it came in handy."
"That'll teach that punk not to mess with us," Basil said as he dusted his hands.
"Heheh…haha! Yeah."
As the Trio De Danger went to regroup, they all felt a cold, chilly feeling run through their spines. They looked all looked back to see a deep shade of crimson staring at them…it was like a demon.
"Seems you guys have improved. I was taken by surprise," Celeon's voice was low-pitched, and contained nothing but controlled fury. "THIS ENDS NOW!"
Celeon reverted back to base form but his eyes were red, like a powered-up state before Super Saiyan.
"This guy is like a fortress," Basil said with a gulp. "No matter! We'll come out on top!"
Basil was the first to try and intercept Celeon, but Basil was quickly tossed aside as Celeon backhanded him back to the rest of his team.
"You mean to tell me he's more powerful in that state than he just was in his golden form? Unbelievable."
Celeon heard this and hunched over with a grin plastered on his face. "You guys…aren't worth Super Saiyan. I'll defeat you as I am now!"
Bergamo clenched his hands as he prepared himself to strike. "Your arrogance will be your undoing!"
No further words were disputed as the whole of Universe 9 ran in. Celeon appeared in front of Comfrey and Oregano and had his fist to their face.
"Out."
Celeon blasted Comfrey and Oregano out with a small ki blast erupting from his hands and turned around quickly as the Trio De Danger came near him, all ready to attack at once.
Just like before, Celeon began to block Basil and Lavender's attacks with no problem, it was until Bergamo went to attack was when Celeon had to focus. Celeon ducked and landed a blow into Basil's stomach, getting the red wolf to fall back in pain. Celeon spun around and kicked Lavender in the face and gave an uppercut to Bergamo.
The three brothers all had heavy breaths, while Celeon seemed to have a full tank.
"I think it's time we pull out the secret technique," Bergamo's voice was brittle like shattering ice. He thought that his universe would go further than this. Bergamo looked around the stands to see that his universe and universe 4 lost some members, as well as 3.
"Seriously, already?"
"That's right!"
"Tch, if it can take out universe six's strongest then let's do it!"
Celeon didn't speak, only getting into the traditional Saiyan pose.
The brothers all began to laugh before circling Celeon in a triangular fashion.
"THERE IT IS, THE DANGER'S TRIANGLE!" Roh shouted as he grinned from ear to ear. "That Saiyan won't know what hit him!"
"Ha! Like something like that will hold down Celeon," Champa said as he stuck a finger in his ear nonchalantly.
Celeon looked from left to right and noticed that he was completely trapped. Celeon decided to test the waters and moved forward one step and was quickly regretting it as a hard punch struck him in the jaw, getting his body to slump over.
"A perfect trap technique," Celeon voiced flatly as he accessed the technique further. However, that punch didn't deter the Saiyan as he ran forward, this was what the brothers waited for and kicked Celeon in the back.
Celeon rolled forward and gripped the floor with all his might like a steel cuff. He wasn't sure how to counter that triangle trap, but he needed to figure it out as the wolf trio began to spin around him in a triangle once again.
"What an annoying technique but I faced worse."
Celeon's eyes moved from left to right quickly, as if he was tracking the brothers in their highspeed technique. Celeon stared for a few seconds before his eyes widened as he saw a small glimpse of an opening.
"THERE!" Celeon kicked the ground, causing a shockwave to ripple through the ground, and broke apart the stadium, causing a giant piece to block the brother's path and caused Basil to crash into the rock.
"You three were tough, but this is the end….Ka….me…"
The three brothers regrouped and took a gander at their current footing. They were at the edge. Sweat poured down their faces as they were in a tight bind.
"WE WON'T LOSE! BROTHERS LETS DO IT!"
"RIGHT!"
Celeon's narrowed eyes stared at the brothers forming their next attack. An inevitable beam struggle was going to occur.
"HA…..ME!"
"GO!"
The brothers shot a multi-colored beam at Celeon.
"HA!"
An opalescent red beam shot from Celeon's hands and collided with the Trio De Danger's beam, but it easily overpowered it as it swallowed it right on impact.
"AAAAAH!"
The Trio De Danger was encompassed by the red Kamehameha, which was big enough for everyone in the stadium to see. Celeon was left with his hands stretched out, before he stood back up straight and looked up at the stands. Every fighter from Universe 9 was out.
"It would seem that everyone from universe nine is rung out, and according to the rules of the tournament, universe nine will be erased!"
"BYE-BYE UNIVERSE NINE!"
"WAIT LORD ZENO!" Roh tried to plead but was silenced as a white light appeared over his body before he disappeared, along with Sidra, and the fighters.
"Damn…they weren't kidding," Champa said as he watched the now vacant space that was formerly preoccupied with Universe 9.
Everyone in the stadium stopped fighting to soak in the tense air that filled the arena. The death of universe 9 made it clear that this tournament was not to be trifled with and if you didn't step your game up, you'll be next.
Everyone waited for a brief moment before continuing their fights.
Celeon for one looked at his hands, his shaky hands. He was responsible for the universe being destroyed. It was filled with billions…no much, much more than that.
"Everything alright?"
The voice of Hit snapped Celeon out of his palpable, scared trance. Celeon slightly flinched at this before he looked at Hit with a downcast look.
"I…I don't know how to feel about this."
Hit stood silent for a moment. "Close your heart to it."
"Huh?"
"Close your heart to it, and fight. We need to make sure our universe survives, that's my job," Hit said tersely.
Celeon foiled his hands and nodded. "You're right, sorry."
"Don't mention it. We have bigger fish to worry about now."
Celeon wasn't sure what Hit meant before looking in the direction that Hit was looking and Celeon saw Caulifla and Kale fending off Universe 11, the Pride Troopers were what they were called.
Vegeta walked aimlessly, waiting for his next opponent.
"Master!"
Vegeta stopped walking and moved his head to look at the one who called for him, it was clear that it was Cabba.
"Hmph, I saw how you handled that fox man from universe four. I'm going to take a guess and say you're here to fight me next. You got cocky."
Cabba immediately transformed into Super Saiyan and got into stance. "It's not cockiness if you're confident in your own capabilities."
To that, Vegeta smirked. "Well said, this should be interesting."
END
Universe 9 is out, and now Cabba and Vegeta are about to square off. This fight is going to be fun to do since it was missed opportunity.
