The Saiyan Devil
Chapter 16
(AN: I wrote this months ago and am now updating it. I'm aware there may be significant mistakes, but after I upload the next two chapters, everything should be edited well.)
Just as it appeared, carnage ensued for everyone in the stadium. Most of the Gods were completely shocked at seeing the abomination, Aniraza. It created portals and punched through them, quickly knocking out those from Universe 10 and 2. Zeno, of course, erased those from Universe 10 and 2 minus the angels, Cus and Sour. Aniraza also continued to eliminate Android 18 and Roshi.
Jiren, Toppo, and Dyspo didn't bother to fight Aniraza, having used its rampage to recover their stamina and prepare for future battles.
"That thing is annoying," Celeon voiced with irritation. "If I continue to let it rampage, it'll keep knocking out everyone."
"Big Brother, are you planning on knocking it out."
"Yeah!"
Celeon was going to handle it, but to his shock and surprise, he saw that Kale went up there and punched Aniraza right in the head, cracking what seemed to be its core reactor. The backlash from Kale's attack sent Aniraza flying before it fell out of the stadium, reverting back to normal. This led to Universe 3 being erased, and all but its Angel were left behind. Since there were only three universes left, the Grand Priest shortened the stands, letting everyone be in close proximity to one another despite most not wishing to be close to others.
"I guess not," Celeon said as Kale landed back near them. Caulifla soon appeared shortly after.
"Woo! Did you see that? Nice work, Kale. I knew you had it in ya!" Caulifla slapped Kale in the back with a child-like grin on her face.
"I felt like I needed to pull my own weight!"
Celeon nodded. "Along with Crunch and Hit, only 6 of us are left."
"And it's only Universe 7 and 11 left," Cabba added.
"We're going to have to conserve our strength, but I must handle Toppo first."
Caulifla looked at Celeon with an arched brow. "That guy doesn't look too tough. I'm surprised you're having a hard time with him."
"He's hiding a lot of his power. After all, he's next in line to become a God Of Destruction."
Caulifla's jaw dropped. "Are you serious?"
"Yeah, and we have a little rivalry. I need to tie the score," Celeon looked at the area where Toppo was with a fixated gaze. "Kale, Caulifla, you two still have those earrings, right?"
"Yeah…"
"This might be selfish. But you two need to fuse. With your combined power, you should be able to handle the rest of Universe 7 and perhaps Universe 11."
"Seriously?" Caulifla didn't wish to fuse just yet. "Ah! Whatever, our lives are at stake, right? Let's do it."
"I agree with Big Brother. If you combine your powers, you'll both be unstoppable."
Kale and Caulifla both pulled out two green earrings. They were called Potara Earrings that Supreme Kai's wears.
"No going back after this," Caulifla spoke to Kale before turning to Celeon. "Before we do this…if we somehow fall out, promise us you'll pull through in the end."
Celeon was slightly taken aback by the sincere tone in Caulifla's voice. She was slightly scared. He was, too.
"Of course."
"Alright! Kale, let's do it!"
"You're both from Universe 7, right?"
Gohan and Piccolo both looked at their new opponent, Crunch. The Cerealean both caused them to be wary. They saw his earlier display of strength and knew not to take this lightly.
"We are," Piccolo spoke up. "I'm going to assume you're here to take us out next?"
Crunch nodded. "Exactly. You two are pretty strong, and I want to see my strength so far. You two are the perfect partners for it."
"Piccolo, be careful. We still haven't seen him go all out yet," Gohan voiced with worry in his voice. They didn't know the full extent of Crunch's strength, and if he was picked for the tournament, he was definitely strong.
"Enough talk, let's fight!"
Crunch closed the distance easily and struck Piccolo with a straight kick to his gut, sending him into a few boulders. Gohan let loose a battle cry as he attacked Crunch with a straight jab, but the Cerealean blocked it and struck Gohan's chin, causing the Half-Saiyan to spit as Crunch attacked with rapid punches.
Gohan managed to gain his bearings and stop Crunch midway into his assault. He delivered an elbow strike to Crunch's nose, getting the Cerealean to stumble back. Crunch shook his head to recover, only to look and see a beam heading his way, but he didn't have time to dodge as it was faster than he could react; the beam struck Crunch directly in the gut, sending him flying through multiple slabs of rock.
Gohan appeared where Crunch was, and in the palm of his hands was a Kamehameha that was preparing to fire.
"Not so fast!" Crunch pointed his fingers at Gohan and shot ki bullets, but a green arm came and pulled Gohan back, getting Crunch's eyes to widen before he looked down to see that it was Piccolo pulling Gohan back.
"FIRE!"
"HAAAA!"
Gohan fired the impressive Kamehameha at Crunch, who was quickly enveloped in the attack; the beam was strong enough to push Crunch toward the edge of the stadium. Gohan and Piccolo both regrouped, looking at the dust clouds formed from Gohan's previous attack. Piccolo's ears suddenly twitched, which caused him to quickly grab Gohan and swap places as an attack from behind sent Piccolo flying overboard.
"PICCOLO!"
Piccolo appeared next to everyone in Universe 7 with crossed arms. It seemed he was prepared to fall out sooner or later.
"Hmph. You did well to make it that far, Namekian," Beerus praised, even if it was a little bit.
Gohan closed his eyes in shame as he let Piccolo fall out. "I won't lose."
"I was hoping to get you out, but it seems the Namekian heard me. Let's fight, Saiyan."
Gohan eyes flashed red as his normally calm face twisted into slight rage and contempt. "Very well!"
Gohan and Crunch began to duke it out. Crunch slightly grimaced as Gohan's attacks were stronger than he realized, but that didn't deter the Cerealean from keeping up. Gohan was also a bit impressed with Crunch's power. They were equally matched as it was now, but that didn't last for long as Gohan's aura flared.
Crunch jumped back and began to snipe Gohan with sharp, condensed ki blasts, but the Half-Saiyan dodged the attacks and rushed forth. Crunch moved his arms up to block Gohan's punches, not realizing that they were coming close to the edge. Gohan managed to break through Crunch's defenses and land a solid blow to his gut before landing a tremendous kick to Crunch's waist, sending Crunch flying.
"Damn, he keeps powering up," Crunch barely managed to stop himself from falling over the edge. He needed to stay in a little longer. He wasn't about to fall out now.
Gohan walked up with a slow stride, his white aura blaring with his calmed rage. Crunch looked at Gohan with interest in his eyes. The Saiyan was stronger than he realized, perhaps too strong. It ticked Crunch off; he trained his ass off for this tournament. Although he couldn't be upset, he made it this far in the tournament. All that was left was Celeon, Cabba, Caulifla, Kale, and Hit from his team. Even if he fell out, his team still had a shot to win.
Crunch was going to gamble with his next attack.
"Our fight isn't over just yet! Let's keep going!"
Gohan and Crunch began their fight again; both of them knew that being close to the edge was dangerous, but they needed to be here; they knew if the other slipped up, it'd be their last mistake. Crunch attempted to kick Gohan, but Gohan wrapped his arms around Crunch's knees and spun in place before throwing him in the air. Gohan wasted no time in preparing a Kamehameha.
Crunch looked down at the attack and prepared himself by bringing his arms up defensively. Gohan released a yell, sending the Kamehameha up at Crunch.
"DAMNIT!" Crunch screamed as the attack enveloped him.
As Gohan persisted, a light could be seen through the Kamehameha before it pierced through the stadium floor around Gohan, sending the rock Gohan was on tumbling down into the void. After a few seconds, Crunch and Gohan appeared in their team's respective seats.
The battle ended. Champa had his hands on his ears as Crunch was eliminated, while Beerus seemed happier now that Crunch was out of the battle. Beerus wouldn't admit it, but the Cerealean would end up being trouble for the rest of his team, a fair exchange of eliminations.
After Gohan's elimination, the remaining 3 Universes decided to meet in the center. Most of the arena was destroyed from the previous brawls, and now it was the moment the surviving Universes met up.
From Universe 6 were Celeon, Hit, and Cabba, which was weird because Caulifla and Kale were supposed to be with them.
From Universe 11 were Jiren, Toppo, and Dyspo.
And lastly, from Universe 7 were Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, and Android 17.
It was an intense standstill as everyone looked at one another. There were still 20 minutes left of the tournament. Everyone but Jiren looked a bit shaken from their previous battles. The last thing to irk everyone was the fact that Caulifla and Kale weren't present alongside Universe 6.
"Seems those Saiyan Girls are hiding out," Vegeta noted. He kept his surprise at seeing Cabba's hair to a minimum, but he could feel Celeon's ki within him; it was taking over, but Cabba's body accepted it like how Goku's God Ki was absorbed into his body.
Was it a common thing among Saiyans?
"That's what I'm worried about," Goku said as he looked over to Jiren, who took it upon himself to meditate behind Toppo and Dyspo.
Vegeta scowled at Jiren's blatant disrespect but managed to keep calm.
Celeon grinned. "That's our secret…sorry to say, but now you're dealing with…"
"YAHOO, COMING THROUGH!"
Everyone didn't react until a figure appeared behind Universe 7. Shortly after, a burst of wind roared throughout the Arena. It was strong enough to cause Jiren to open his eyes at the new fighter that appeared; he could tell it was a Saiyan.
Everyone looked at the new fighter, wondering who it was, until they noticed the Potara Earring. Goku and Vegeta were the first to gawk.
"Fusion!" Vegeta said out loud. Frieza looked at the powerful being before him with a scowl, his hate clearly wafting off his body. Android 17 kept an emotionless gaze, but he was still worried.
"Hmm, what do you call a Caulifla and Kale?" The figure turned around with a smug grin on their face. "Kefla works just fine. So, who's first?"
Kefla is a slender female with spiky hair tied into a ponytail and two bangs framing the sides of her face. It was a mix of Caulifla's and Kale's hair. She possessed tanned skin, reminiscent of Kale's but a bit on the light side to show that Caulifla is a Fusee; she wears golden armbands and boots with black around the ankles and a purple belly shirt with form-fitting purple pants. Her green Potara Earrings seemed to dance while she had her arms crossed.
"No matter if two monkeys fused, they're still a monkey!" Frieza roared as he rushed after Kefla, who continued to smirk at the approaching Frieza, but for some reason, he seemed unbearably slow.
Kefla bent forward as if she was on a track field and shot off, disappearing from sight; the only ones who could keep up were the Angels, even the Gods were having difficulty processing Kefla's speed.
Frieza felt the wind get knocked out of him as he was sent flying through rocks. Kefla cracked her neck and rolled her shoulders. Kefla appeared beside Celeon with a smirk on her face, almost like she wanted some validation; Celeon scratched his head as he felt that there was something more in the smile. He wasn't clueless at all, and the fact that Kefla is both Caulifla and Kale just made her a lot more attractive.
Celeon didn't know why he said that, but he shook his head to clear his thoughts.
"Stop playing around," Celeon admonished as he began to walk towards Toppo, who went on guard.
"So, you're ready for our final fight? There is no more hiding, Celeon."
"Toppo, are you sure you want to face him alone?" Dyspo asked as he was slightly worried about Kefla's power.
"Yes, it's time to settle our differences."
As that was happening, Hit began walking to Jiren but was intercepted by Dyspo, who had a bitter smirk. Cabba was wondering what he would do, but the shrill yell of Frieza interrupted him as Frieza came over a few rocks in Golden Form.
"Don't look down on me!"
Kefla felt her eyebrows twitch at Frieza's yelling. It rubbed her off the wrong way for some reason. It was because Frieza reminded her of Frost, who she remembered Celeon saying was why he was so bitter. Now that she was fused, the feelings of Kale and Caulifla were amplified, and since she was both of them, her love for Celeon was apparent, she felt confident. She was going to prove to herself that she deserved Celeon's love.
It was weird, but she was neither Caulifla nor Kale; she was a new being, with her personality being the mix of both her fusion parties and, to top it off, that Saiyan smugness.
She just cracked a smirk as Frieza attempted to hit her. She didn't even transform into Super Saiyan yet, and she was bored out of her mind fighting this idiot.
"Ya' know, I can practically feel the hatred you have for me, despite this being the first time we're even exchanging blows," Kefla spoke her first set of words to Frieza as she skillfully dodged his attacks.
"You're certainly good at dodging, simian."
Kefla blinked childishly. "Simian? HAHAHA!"
Kefla's laughter only fueled Frieza's anger as he shot off a dozen ki blasts at her, but her speed was off the charts.
"You got jokes, but I'd rather be a monkey than whatever you're supposed to be. Just because you're all shiny doesn't mean I won't put a dent in ya!"
After Kefla spoke her peace, she appeared behind Frieza. His eyes widened in shock as this reminded Frieza of the Instant Transmission that the Yardrat used. Frieza screamed in pain as he was punched in the back, sending him flying away. Kefla followed up by chaining Frieza in many Combos before grabbing him by the tail and slamming him repeatedly.
Kefla was suddenly stopped when Frieza escaped her onslaught of punches. She was surprised to see Frieza trying to match her every move. He didn't fight like Frost. His strikes had more power, while Frost's had more finesse. It was a stark difference between the universal counterparts.
Kefla was caught off guard when Frieza used his tail to wrap them around her ankles, causing her to trip. Kefla was visibly annoyed and shot a green ki blast that separated her from Frieza. Once a safe distance from the flashy emperor, she cracked a grin.
"Since you're eerily similar to Frost, I hope you don't mind me using you as a warm-up!"
Seeing Kefla's damage, Frost from the bleachers visibly flinched as he watched his counterpart being played like a fiddle. It did give Frost some glee seeing that Frieza was taking a beating. Kefla wasn't even using Super Saiyan yet. He knew she was capable of doing it. A fusion of two powerful Saiyans? It was a nightmare to think about. Once this tournament was done, he needed to play his cards correctly.
Kefla began to jump up and down. The arena floor beneath her boots seemed to crack, she was lightly jumping up and down, and her sheer power was cracking one of if not the strongest materials in existence. She couldn't help but have a childish grin on her face. She stared at her clenching arms with the eyes of a happy toddler.
Frieza couldn't help but feel he was out of his league, he didn't know what fusion was and how strong it actually was, but the fact this loathsome ape was making him rethink his decisions sent nothing but a heated chill down his spine. Frieza breathed in and out to calm himself. It was clear his emotions would get him eliminated, but he needed to play this right.
Kefla cracked her knuckles as she began to charge up her power. The arena began shaking violently as if a storm was brewing overhead. Her midnight black hair changed into a jet green color, her eyes turned into a teal variation, and her muscles seemed to become more compact. She was a mix between Kale's controlled Super Saiyan and Caulifla's.
"I'll stop holding out, just so when I ring you out, I at least did so by giving you the proper respect…oh mighty emperor!" Kefla teased as she stuck out her tongue.
Those words set Frieza off as he began to scream with pure hatred. Frieza did his best to keep a cool head, but Kefla was a different type of annoyance. She was an unchained ape with too much freedom. He'd put her in her place if it was the last thing he'd do!
Upon making contact with Kefla's forearm, Frieza was quickly punched in the face before Kefla jumped in her spot and kicked Frieza in the jaw, sending him skidding back. Kefla opened her palms and sent a barrage of green ki orbs at Frieza. The Emperor went on the defensive by shooting out golden finger blasts to counter Kefla's attack. This resulted in several explosions to occur, but there was no time to breathe as Kefla came out of the smoke with a green aura surrounding her. Frieza jumped in his skin at Kefla's increased speed, but he kept on his toes and blocked her punch with his own.
The two fighters visibly struggled to overpower the other. However, Frieza was beginning to feel himself losing this armed struggle. He needed to get the upper hand and fast! Frieza used his tail to try and catch Kefla off guard again, but it failed as it was grabbed by Kefla's free hand. A look of pure horror appeared on Frieza's face as he was yanked and slammed onto the ground harshly. Frieza couldn't even scream as he was slammed repeatedly before Kefla left him floating in the air before slamming a large green ki orb into Frieza's gut, causing a massive, green explosion.
Kefla walked out of the explosion to take a look at the damage she'd done to Frieza. She could see the Emperor was on his last legs…or was it tail? She didn't care. As long as she contributed to her universe's survival, that's all that mattered to her. She had a sick feeling in her gut that her team would eventually lose, but she needed to be hopeful.
Frieza's body was in rags. He looked like he was living off of scraps in the alleys, trying to survive. Frieza's right eye was closed as it was swelling from Kefla's attacks, and his breath was ragged, almost sounding like a broken record. Frieza was being humiliated once again.
By a Saiyan, no less!
That was what made this situation so embarrassing. He was the mighty lord Frieza! He should be on top of the food chain, not below, eating off of others. Frieza glared hatefully at the fused Saiyan in front of him. A thought popped up in his head. He would risk it all on his next attack. Frieza jumped back, landing on a floating rock. His eyes never left Kefla as she scratched her head cutely at Frieza. She didn't know what he was doing.
Frieza raised his arms and began to charge a large amount of energy before a large golden supernova appeared. It was brightly lighting up the stadium. Everyone present could feel the sheer amount coming from the attack. Everyone from Universe 6 looked at the attack with worried expressions.
Frieza felt his lips part into a pompous grin. "I will admit this. You deserve to die by this attack. Even if you were to dodge, it would surely hurl into the arena and ring out your companions! YAH!"
"So, you still have enough power for one last attack. Fine then, show me what it can do!"
As Frieza attacked Kefla, the fused Saiyan began to stretch. It was time she stopped messing around. She was still needed in this tournament, and from what it feels like, she was stronger than Celeon, even in his Super Saiyan God form.
That made Kefla chuckle because she knew that Celeon always held back, so he was probably stronger than she was now. As the Supernova approached, Kefla could hear everyone's panicked screams, but this didn't perturb her. Kefla grabbed the Supernova with her bare hands, feeling some pain, but it felt like she was under an extremely warm blanket. Frieza thought she was done, but much to his shock and fear, Kefla began to push it back, running as she did. Frieza was extremely flabbergasted that he was frozen stiff.
"HEY! HAVE THIS BACK!" Kefla shouted as she kicked the large attack away.
"WHAT? NO! I'M THE MIGHTY-"
Frieza was silenced. His own attack flew him out of the stadium, and soon after it exploded, he appeared in the bleachers next to everyone else, his head down low as he was humiliated in front of everyone.
By a Saiyan, that was what infuriated him the most.
Frost looked over at him with a toothy grin that held nothing but satisfaction. He was internally thankful to Kefla for making Frieza look like an overly arrogant fool out there. Frost's glee morphed into a calculative gaze as he watched the fights play out again. He needed to find a way to curb these Saiyans. Now that he was introduced to fusion, his power wasn't enough. And like Frost, Frieza was also wondering how to stop his own nemesis from fusion for their fights, but it seemed like those earrings were the cause, and Goku and Vegeta seemed to have no way of having them.
"GREAT WORK CAULIKALE!
Kefla ignored Champa's cheering, calling her Caulikale, which ticked her off. Her name was Kefla!
"Maybe I should see how Celeon is doing against that Toppo guy?" Kefla said as she began to walk slowly toward the fight she was most hyped to see play out.
Celeon and Toppo stared at each other for what seemed to be an hour. Despite only fighting once before and sometimes during the tournament, these two looked at each other like rivals, stepping stones to reach new heights. Toppo never thought he'd have such a worthy foe to fight. However, his high sense of justice wouldn't allow him to say such words. It would go against his code of honor.
Celeon thought the same thing but wasn't afraid to say it. He understood where Toppo was coming from and how much justice meant to the burly alien, he was once a member of the Defense Force, keeping peace throughout his universe, but he left to keep everyone at a safe distance. Now, he was stronger and had some control over his ki.
"I hope you're ready, Celeon. I will not let you escape these fists for you to watch any other battle!" Toppo yelled out to his opponent.
Celeon smirked as he quickly transformed into Super Saiyan 3. A black and red ki tail formed, and his eyebrows remained. Toppo briefly fought this form earlier, but it was stronger than before. Toppo raised his arms, preparing to square off with Celeon for the final time.
It was now or never!
Toppo and Celeon charged at each other, leaving dust behind them.
"So it begins," Champa said as he stared at Celeon fighting with Toppo. His Mastered Super Saiyan 3 still gave him the chills. It was strong and stacked with that abnormal ki he had. It made it even stronger.
Belmond was chewing his teeth when he saw Toppo get punched in the face and kicked in the ribs. That form wasn't strong before, so why was it now?
Toppo managed to fend off Celeon's assault and primed himself for a strike of his own, but Celeon grabbed it with his right arm. Although he had difficulty holding it back, his arm shook as Toppo began to get the upper hand.
Celeon used his left hand to shoot a dark red ki blast, but Toppo jumped back to avoid the attack. Celeon and the Pride Trooper were carefully planning their next moves. They knew how the other fought, which would be a key factor in their victory.
Toppo grabbed one arm by the wrist and shot off a Justice Flash. Celeon left two large Ki orbs floating in the air as they began to shoot off two large beams at Toppo. The Pride Trooper began to run after Celeon while keeping up his Justice Flash. Celeon flipped over rock after rock as he ran from Toppo before turning on his heel and creating a large ball of red ki in his hands as he propelled at Toppo. The Pride Trooper was shocked by his speed and couldn't react as Celeon lodged the orb into his gut and sent him flying back before an explosion happened.
Kefla, who was nearby, watched with a smirk on her face. She fought Celeon as Caulifla and Kale but not as her. She wasn't those two. Watching Celeon fight was beginning to make her wish she was in Toppo's place, but she needed to focus her attention on her next opponent.
Celeon's teacher, Son Goku.
Turning around, Kefla began to leave, but she glanced back one last time at Celeon's fight and wished him luck.
Toppo managed to tank Celeon's attack, which Celeon named Disaster Ball. Toppo's Pride Trooper uniform was ripped from his left shoulder. Toppo stared at the damage with annoyance and fury welling up from within.
"You dare tarnish the clothes of justice? I will no longer hold anything back!"
Just as Toppo said those words, his Mortal Ki changed and dipped into the realm of the gods, changing into God Ki. An influx of red ki barraged the area, and the ki surrounded Toppo like a personal shield.
Celeon was prepared for this. He needed to believe that his Mastered Super Saiyan 3 was enough to finish off Toppo.
The two God Of Destruction candidates took a sparing glance at their bleachers. They could see everyone was in high turmoil seeing them about to duke it out. Celeon was shocked that Vados seemed worried. If he remembered, the Angels barely showed any "human-like morality" toward mortals and kept their emotions blank…well, not Vados, from what Celeon could tell. She was a bit of a sarcastic prankster. Right now, though, she seemed to be conflicted about everything and, if he had to dig deeper, worried for his well-being.
Celeon closed his eyes, a new sense of determination beginning to give him the boost he needed to fight.
Without another word, Celeon and Toppo reignited their fight. The two clashed fists in a mighty display of strength, causing the winds to howl and tear apart any rubble that was in the vicinity. Even the ground they were on seemed to crumble and tear under immense pressure.
Celeon took this time to use what Goku taught him, creating visible copies of himself. Toppo looked around him, seeing the clones of Celeon smirking at him. Toppo didn't know what type of foolery this was, but it wouldn't work on him!
Toppo quickly dispatched the clones, and when he reached the last one, it also disappeared, shocking the Pride Trooper. Toppo frantically looked for Celeon's ki signature, but it was too late when he caught on to it.
"Right here!" Toppo turned around as quickly as a striking snake, and his vision went red as he saw the blinding red light in the middle of Celeon's hands. "KAMEHAMEHA!"
Toppo wailed as the red and black Kamehameha enveloped his body point blank. Celeon knew to jump back, and he was right. A large hand came out of the smoke and rubble to grab Celeon but missed by a second.
Toppo appeared out of the smoke, with the top half of his uniform completely seared away. The Pride Troopers' anger was replaced with a newfound determination to defeat Celeon as they continued to fight it out. All you could hear was impact after impact as they clashed fists. Celeon's palm struck Toppo in the jaw before kicking him in the sides and finishing with a strong double punch to Toppo's chest, sending him skidding back.
Celeon was aware of Toppo's crushing grip and needed to be careful not to be caught. Celeon went through a lot of training with Champa and Vados to ensure he doesn't fall victim to that again.
Toppo, however, never lost his vigor as he sped forward, getting Celeon to harden his guard. Still, Toppo appeared above Celeon and stepped on his shoulders before spinning, making it seem like a tornado suddenly brewed. Toppo leaped off the spinning Celeon and landed a heavy blow to Celeon's face. Spit flew out of his mouth as he was sent through various amounts of rubble.
Toppo chased after his opponent as he knew if the Saiyan got time to rest, his chance of defeating him would dwindle. Right now, Toppo is surprised this Super Saiyan 3 form, as it was called, was giving him so much trouble. Toppo was fascinated by Celeon's growth. It seems he wasn't lying, saying he would only get stronger during battle.
So could he!
Toppo saw Celeon picking himself up and used this chance to attack, sending a barrage of Justice Flash his way. Celeon didn't have time to dodge as the red ki blasts struck his entire body, but he ate up the attacks. His gi ripped apart, leaving his upper body bare for everyone to see.
As the smoke surrounded Celeon, Toppo stared into it was a keen gaze.
"Ha! I'll give respect where it's due, Champa. I didn't think you, of all people, would have such a strong fighter on your team that could push Toppo this much, but in the end, Universe Eleven will prevail."
Champa couldn't find it in him to reply to the remark. He was focused on his students' battle, his arms were crossed, and his face was stern. Beerus, who was close by, noticed his brother's complete 180 in behavior and thought that these Saiyans really were amazing. Of course, he wouldn't say it out loud. Beerus never thought he, of all people, would change, and that extended to his brother.
Toppo readied himself as he saw deep crimson eyes stare back at him, almost as if he was gazing into the abyss.
"I'll admit, that one hurt…a lot, damn!" Celeon felt like he was still spinning from Toppo's last stunt.
Toppo, for some reason, couldn't help but grin as Celeon was still on his two legs. That soon shot down as he remembered that this was a survival tournament. Toppo really wished this was not the case.
"Celeon, I'm going to ask you this, and I'm sure everyone is curious," Toppo said, getting everyone's attention. "What do you hope to wish for?"
Celeon's eyes widened at the question. Celeon didn't have any wishes…of course, when he heard that the Super Dragon Balls could grant any wish, the thought of reviving his parents came up…but he scratched that out of the list. It was selfish. Everyone here died. Trillions died because of him. Celeon sighed.
"I'll bring everyone back."
Toppo, this time was stunned. He was expecting something…foolish. Toppo seemed wrong about the young man in front of him.
"I'll bring back everyone who fought in this tournament and their universes. That's my wish."
Toppo lowered his head before looking back at Celeon with nothing but respect.
"Very well, that is all I needed to hear. However, just because your wish is admirable doesn't mean I will hold anything back! Prepare yourself."
Celeon stumbled forward and grinned. "Likewise."
Their fight began again, and Celeon and Toppo seemed equal, but that was only for a moment. Toppo was beginning to land devastating blows, It was clear he was on the winning side of this fight, but the two fighters were having a fun time with this, and that seemed to kick out the dread they both felt about the true purpose of this tournament.
Celeon managed to kick Toppo in the gut, but Toppo's large fist struck his face, and both fighters spat blood as they were sent flying in opposite directions. Everyone knew their fight was coming to a close as their attacks became sloppy. Belmond was grinning from ear to ear, knowing Toppo still had a lot of energy in the tank, despite being low on fumes. Champa looked pale.
He knew Celeon wasn't using his Super Saiyan God form for a reason. It was still incomplete. Even after a year of training, it was still a form with a time limit before running out. Champa could only hope that a miracle could happen.
He could feel a heart attack coming in.
Celeon and Toppo struggled to their feet, Celeon was still in Super Saiyan 3, which meant he was still pretty high on energy, but his stamina was running out little by little. He could see it was the same for Toppo.
Celeon began to prepare one last attack. It was a Kamehameha that was more powerful than the last one he did. The arena began to shake as Celeon silently chanted the words for the attack, and the Kamehameha could be heard everywhere.
Toppo began charging up his blast before releasing it, hoping to stop Celeon in his tracks. As the attack inched closer, Celeon stretched his arms out, and the Kamehameha went forward, blasting into Toppo's attack, causing a large beam struggle to occur.
Everyone, including Jiren, was looking at the beam struggle. It was too big to ignore. Goku, who was still recovering his strength, couldn't help but have a smile on his face. He didn't expect to be a teacher or anything like that. He was still being trained himself, but he had to admit…meeting Celeon was probably one of the best things to happen lately. His smile waned as he remembered that this tournament was for survival, and he may have to fight Celeon himself.
That was a painful revelation.
Toppo and Celeon's struggle seemed to reach its end, with Toppo taking the lead in this. His screams were loud, showing how much effort he put into this.
Celeon's boots were beginning to dig into the stadium. His eyes couldn't help but dawn on the realization that he was about to lose.
"You can do it."
Celeon heard the mixture of two voices, he turned around as if someone was there, and his eyes landed on two wispy figures. He knew who they were.
His parents.
He felt a new sensation build up as he began to bellow, the sound of a beast echoing with his shout.
Toppo was the one being pushed back. He could feel his blast losing energy, and in a few seconds, he was enveloped by Celeon's attack, causing a shrill yell of pain to happen as Celeon's attack continued to travel through the void before exploding in the distance.
"WHAT HAPPENED? TOPPO!" Belmond suddenly screamed after a few seconds trying to process what had just transpired.
Despite being happy, Champa still stared at Celeon with a fixated gaze. Celeon was running low on energy, despite having a cesspool of it. This was the first time he witnessed Celeon on his last legs. It shook Champa a bit, to be honest. He knew Saiyans had boundless potential. That was clear from seeing how the Universe 7 Saiyans operate.
"Vados, do you think…"
"Maybe…" Vados spoke as if she knew what Champa was going to say. Her voice remained stoic.
Everyone watched the ending of Celeon's fight with anticipation. They knew Toppo was still down there, considering he hadn't appeared in the bleachers. Universe 11 was hoping Toppo still had room to fight.
As the dust cleared, Toppo could be seen with his arms out, as if he was still shooting an enormous ki blast, his body had smoke coming off of it, and his gloves were burned to cinders. Toppo's current state was hard to look at. His eyes were devoid of pupils, and his torso had burnt marks.
He was alive, thankfully.
Celeon looked worse for wear, his Super Saiyan 3 was still active, but it soon faded into Super Saiyan 2, his ki tail disappeared, and his gold sheen disappeared. However, sparks of electricity remained.
Celeon looked at Toppo with a solemn gaze. He had to do it. Universe 6 was riding on him to win. The image of his parents disappeared as he gave them one last look with a bitter smile. It was funny. Even in death, they still watched over him.
However, the time for a breather was cut short. The ground and the void began to shake violently as if a hurricane appeared out of the blue. Celeon's eyes widened as he saw that Toppo's body was beginning to rattle with power. The Pride Trooper's body darkened, and he became lean and muscular. Toppo raised his head with a mighty shout threatening to pierce the heavens.
Celeon wasn't unfamiliar with this pressure. It was similar to a God Of Destruction…no, not similar, it was!
Toppo now had an imposing figure. His sclera was now a hazy purple, his muscles seemed like a brick wall, and his chest and torso symbolized a God Of Destruction from the 11th Universe.
Belmond's former worries faded as he saw Toppo in his new state, his smug grin appearing once more as he knew Universe 11 was sure to win from here on out.
Champa and Beerus looked visibly shocked at seeing Toppo's form. The spectators were in awe, and the remaining, minus Jiren, were extremely on edge. They didn't know how Celeon would win this one. It seemed Toppo's previous injuries and stamina drain were gone, as if time had reversed.
Toppo looked at Celeon with an impassive gaze, almost completely emotionless. "I will…win no matter the cost, even if I have to abandon my foundations!"
Celeon felt irked by those words. Clearly, this state of Toppo differed from the well-mannered man he fought who preached about justice…now…
He was truly thinking like a God Of Destruction.
