First Contest
"We're here." Ash said
Ash had arrived at a city, but for some reason the city looked a bit…too old school
"What is this, why does it look like we're in the Stone Age." Pikachu said confusingly
"What's the name of this city, Ash?" Eevee said
"It's called…Bedrock City." Ash said looking at his Roto-Arc Phone
"Bedrock City. Well, they certainly put the 'rock' in Bedrock." Pikachu said
"I can already guess what Type of Pokémon the gym uses." Eevee said
"Mm-hm." Ash said
"Rock Type." They said in unison
"First time, huh?" A voice said
Ash turned & saw a boy his age, with blonde hair, blue eyes, wearing a dark blue loincloth with a light blue & dark blue short-sleeved loincloth jacket over it, & a red cap with black spots sitting on a branch of a tree with a Bergmite next to him
"Oh, hi, do you live here?" Ash said
"Sure do, welcome to Bedrock City." The boy said "So, you're here for the gym right?"
"I am, do you know where it is?" Ash asked
"Yeah, the Gym Leader's my dad, I can take you to him." The boy said as he & Bergmite jumped down from the tree to the ground "Excuse me for not introducing myself, my Stoney, Stoney Flintstone, & this is my partner Bergmite."
"Bergmite!" Bergmite greeted
"Ash Tajiri, but you can call me Ash, & these are my partners Pikachu & Eevee." Ash said
"Pika/Ee." Pikachu & Eevee said
"Nice to meet you, Ash." Stoney(The Flintstones) said
"Hey Stoney, I hope you don't mind me asking, but why is your city made of stone?" Ash asked
"Well that's because my people & I live as cavemen." Stoney said
"Really?" Ash said surprisingly
"Yeah, it's the way we live, it may be prehistoric but we love it just the way it is." Stoney said
"Wow." Ash said in awe "Are fossil Pokémon known here in Bedrock City?"
"Yep, they're very well known here." Stoney said
"Maybe this place is where I can revive Dracovish." Ash thought
"Come on, I will take you to the Gym." Stoney said
Stoney took Ash to the Bedrock Gym, when they entered, Ash saw Blossom, Bubbles, & Buttercup with a caveman with black hair wearing an orange & black-spotted loincloth with a torn hemline along with a deep blue necktie, next to the man was a Dracozolt.
"Congratulations, Buttercup, you sure were a tough challenger." the man said
"Not that I'm bragging or anything, but I'm known to be a tough girl for my age." Buttercup said
"Girls." Ash called as the girl turned & saw Ash
"Ash." the girls said happily as they approached him
"You made it." Blossom said
"Where ya been, dude, you missed my Gym Battle." Buttercup said
"Yeah, sorry about that." Ash said
"It's all good." Buttercup said
"Hello there, young man, are you my new challenger?" The caveman asked
"Yes sir, I'm Ash, Ash Tajiri." Ash said
"Well, it's nice to meet ya, son, I'm Fred Flintstone, the Bedrock Gym Leader, & this is my Dracovolt, Dino." Fred(The Flintstones) said
"Draco Draco!" Dino said as he licked Ash's face
"Hahahahaha!" Ash laughed
"Whoa Dino, down boy." Fred said as Dino stopped "Sorry about that, Dino's a very friendly boy."
"It's okay, so that's a Dracozolt?" Ash said as he pulled out his Roto-Arc Phone
Dracozolt, the Fossil Pokémon, an Electric & Dragon Type. The powerful muscles in its tail generate its electricity. Compared to its lower body, its upper half is entirely too small.
"Alright, give me a moment to revitalize Dino & my other Pokémon, & we'll be good to go." Fred said as he left
"Come on, girls, I have to go train for the Contest tomorrow." Bubbles said
"Wait, did you just say Contest?" Ash said
"Yeah, the Bedrock Pokémon Contest." Bubbles said
"So that means you're a Pokémon Coordinator." Ash said
"Yeah, do you wanna compete in the Contest, too?" Bubbles said
"Do they have any open registrations left?" Ash asked
"They do, There's no pressure, Ash, it's your decision to make." Blossom said
"Yeah, just do what you wanna do." Buttercup said
Ash thought about it for a moment, he had considered doing both Gyms & Contest during his adventures in his old world, but no thanks to the drugs it completely slipped his mind. His Aipom loved contests, there's no way he was going to deny her this chance. Besides, becoming a Top Coordinator could be a step further into achieving his dream of becoming a Pokémon Master. He can imagine the reactions of May & Dawn when they find out he had reached the title they were trying so hard to achieve.
"Okay, I'm all set now, you ready?" Fred asked
"Actually, Mr. Flintstone, can we put our Gym Battle on hold?" Ash said
"Sure. any reason?" Fred said
"I decided to compete in the Bedrock Contest." Ash said
"Oh, alright then, looks like I'll be seeing after the Contest tomorrow." Fred said
"You bet, & another thing." Ash said as he pulled out his Fossilized Drake & Fossilized Fish "Do you know where I can restore these?"
"I know just the person." Fred said "Hey Barn, come over here!"
"You called Fred?" A caveman with blonde hair wearing a brown loincloth
"Ash, this is my referee & next door neighbor, Barney Rubble." Fred said as he gave the fossils to Barney "Have these revived into Dracovish for him."
"Aye-Aye, Fred, I'll have them restored in a jiff." Barney said as he left
"Meet us at the Pokémon Center when you're done, Uncle Barney." Stoney said
"You got it." Barney called back
Ash, Stoney, & the girls got to the Pokémon Center
"Now Ash, before you do this, are you sure you wanna compete?" Blossom asked
"Yes, I'm sure." Ash nodded
"Hello, welcome to the Pokémon Center, may I help you?" The Nurse said
"Yeah, I would like to sign up for the Kanto League & the Kanto Contest Circuit, please." Ash said
"Would you also like to register for the Bedrock Contest?" Nurse asked
"I do." Ash nodded
"Okay then, just hand me your Rotom Phone & I'll set you up." Nurse said
"Yes ma'am." Ash said as he pulled out his Roto-Arc Phone
"You should make up your mind." A voice said
"Huh?" Ash said as he turned to Stoney & the girls "Did you guys say something?"
"I didn't say anything." Stoney said
"Not me." Bubble said
"Neither did I." Blossom said
"Nope." Buttercup said
"Okay…" Ash said awkwardly as he gave his Roto-Arc Phone to the Nurse
After the Nurse registered Ash for the Kanto League, Contest Circuit, & Bedrock Contest, Ash was given a Badge Case, Contest Pass, Ribbon Case, Ball Capsules, & Seal Stickers. Then Ash & the others sat down to wait for Barney with Dracovish
"Ash, were you really sure you wanna compete in the Contest Circuit as well as the Kanto League?" Blossom said
"Do you even know what to do when it comes to Pokémon Contests?" Buttercup said
"Of course I do, I used to watch these Pokémon Contests all the time." Ash said before thinking "Not to mention, I competed in a few Contests back in my old world."
"Okay, I'm sorry if I was annoying you by asking you that again, we just want you to do something you don't wanna do?" Blossom apologized
"It's okay, Blossom, I'm not annoyed, & I really do wanna compete in the contest circuit." Ash said "Besides, I actually have an Aipom who loves Contests, so I didn't wanna disappoint her by not doing them."
"That's pretty understandable." Bubbles said "Hey Ash, Professor told us that you became an honorary citizen of Townsville City."
"Yeah, I did, since you guys have been living there most of your life, what's your opinion?" Ash asked
"Well, living in the city can be noisy & a bit crowded at times, so we recommend living in the neighborhood we live in." Bubbles said "Our neighborhood is very peaceful & has a lot of space, you would love it."
"That's good to know, I'm not fond of living in big cities myself." Ash said "You think you & Professor Utonium will help me find a house to live in your neighborhood."
"Sure, we'd be happy to help." Blossom smiled
"It's a bit too early to be thinking about having your own house at your age, don't you think, Ash?" Stoney said
"Yeah, I know, let's just say I'm a very independent kid." Ash laughed nervously "Hey Blossom, I know Bubbles is a Pokémon Coordinator & Buttercup is a Pokémon Trainer, what about you?'
"I'm a Pokémon Researcher." Blossom said
"Oh, a researcher, that's pretty neat." Ash said
"Thanks, when I was little, I always loved watching Professor studying Pokémon, & that's why I decided to become a Pokémon Researcher. My dream is to become the next Pokémon Professor of the Kanto Region after Utonium." Blossom said
"Nerd." Buttercup said through coughs
"Oh yeah, like you have better dreams than that, Buttercup." Blossom glared
"I still think it's a waste of time." Buttercup said
"There's a lot more to Pokémon than battling, you know." Bubbles said
"At least I care about my Pokémon more than battling, unlike some people." Buttercup defended
"Are you planning on becoming Champion, Buttercup?" Ash said
"Well, not exactly, if I became Champion, I would possibly get too much fame & I don't wanna have that much of a load on my back, so I am debating to become an Elite Four Member." Buttercup said
"Okay, I get what you're saying, good achievement though." Ash said "Stoney, are you gonna be traveling on a Pokémon Journey?"
"Oh yeah, Bergmite & I are gonna leave in a couple of days." Stoney said
"Bergmite." Bergmite nodded in agreement
"For my dream, I'm gonna take over my Dad's place as Gym Leader." Stoney said "What about your dream, Ash?"
"Well, my dream is to become a Pokémon Master." Ash said
"A Pokémon Master?" Stoney repeated
"Yeah, that's always been my dream since I was little, that's the main reason why I'm starting to compete in these Contests, because if I win each Grand Festival & Pokémon League, each of them will be a step further to achieving my dream." Ash said
"Wow dude, when you dream, you certainly dream big." Buttercup said
"Thanks." Ash smiled
"Special Delivery, did somebody order a Dracovish?" Barney arrived with Dracovish
"Draco! Draco!" Dracovish said happily as he latched onto Ash's head
"Hey Dracovish." Ash laughed
"Uh hee hee hee, it seems to already know who its Trainer is, uh hee hee hee." Barney chuckled
"Yeah, thanks for reviving Dracovish, ." Ash said
"No problem, Ash, I look forward to seeing your Gym Battle with Fred, best of luck at the Contest." Barney said as he left
"Well, that's our cue to leave, see you guys at the contest, Ash." Bubble said as she stuck out her hand "May the best Coordinator win."
"You bet." Ash smiled as shook hands with her
A little bit later, Ash & Dracovish were at a private area to train as he was scanning him
Dracovish, the Fossil Pokémon, a Water & Dragon Type. Powerful legs & jaws made it the apex predator of its time. Its own overhunting of its prey was what drove it to extinction.
"Welcome back, Dracovish, sorry you had to be turned back into a fossil again." Ash said
"It's okay, I'm just glad we're back together." Dracovish said
"Hey Dracovish, it's me." Eevee said
"Huh? Who are you?" Dracovish said
"Dracovish, this is Chloe's Eevee, Lady Arceus transferred her here to this world, she also change her color." Ash said
"Really?" Dracovish said as he noticed Pikachu "& who's this Pikachu?"
"This is Pikachutwo, he was a Pikachu that Mewtwo cloned from my Ex-Pikachu, I saved him & his friends from Team Rocket one time." Ash said "He was transported here & had a color change by Lady Arceus too."
"Nice to meet you." Pikachu said
"Likewise." Dracovish said
"They're not the only ones who were transported here." Ash said as he sent out Metapod. "This Metapod happens to be my Ex-Butterfree's Ex-mate, not only she was brought here, Lady Arceus reverted her into a Caterpie before she evolved into Metapod last night."
"Wow, that's a really big surprise." Dracovish said surprisingly
*Bzzt**Bzzt*
"Hm?" Ash said as he looked at his Roto-Arc Phone

Reward: PokéGauntlet will have the ability to revive Fossils
"Sweet." Ash smiled as he summoned a Great Ball "Dracovish, I'm gonna catch you with a Great Ball, because you had shown how much of a great loyal friend you were back then."
Dracovish smiled as he got caught in the Great Ball

Ash sent out Aipom, Meowth, Riolu, Croagunk, Psyduck, Dracovish, Gastly, & Tauros. When they saw Dracovish, they were happy that he was revived again as he was happy to see everyone.
"Big news everyone, I just learned that Pokémon Contests exist in this world, & we're gonna compete in them." Ash announced
"Really!?" Aipom beamed
"Yep, this is no joke, Aipom." Ash said as Aipom jumped into his arms
"Oh my gosh, you're the best Trainer EVER!" Aipom exclaimed
"Wait, if this world has a contest circuit, then that means Jessie must be competing in them too." Meowth said
"I think you may be right, she did compete in contests back in our world in disguise." Croagunk said
"Eh? You knew about that?" Meowth said
"Meowth, it was no surprise that she was Jessilina the whole time in Sinnoh." Croagunk said
"Yeah, he kind of has a point, & no surprise she was Jessilee during my time in Kalos." Ash said
"That's true." Meowth said "So, are there any differences to these Contests."
"Let me see." Ash said as he looked it up "According to what I'm reading, for the preliminary round you gotta choose one Pokémon, as for the battle rounds you can choose different Pokémon in each battle.
"That gives us a good chance for each of us in gaining experience." Pikachu said as Ash felt his Roto-Arc Phone vibrate again
"What now?" Ash said as he looked "Oh cool, I got a hit on my Trade App."
"What's the catch?" Meowth said
"It says that he's willing to trade a Mime Jr for one of my Tauros." Ash said "Awesome, I'll definitely accept."
Ash brought one of his Tauros that was in an Ultra Ball, once the trade began the Ultra Ball in his hand disappeared before a Heal Ball appeared
"1 down, 27 to go." Ash said

"Oh Ash, boy are you a sight for sore eyes." Mimey said
"Wait, Mimey?" Ash said
"Mimey? You mean your ex-mom's Mr. Mime?" Meowth said
"Yeah, that's me." Mime Jr. said
"Mimey, what are you doing here? & more importantly, where were you when the incident happened." Ash said
"I was out grocery shopping & when I got home, there were a lot of people talking bad about you. I was very confused at first until I saw the news, I was very shocked & I couldn't believe it. I was very upset with the others when they thought you did those crimes" Mime Jr. said "But unfortunately, that wasn't the worst part."
"What do you mean, Mimey?" Eevee said
"While I was cleaning Delia's room when I accidentally knocked over her diary from the bookshelf, I was gonna put it back but because of my curiosity, I read it." Mime Jr said
"Hm, & I assume you know everything, right?" Ash said
"Yeah, I read every detail, how your journey was sabotaged in every region & how you & the others were drugged to be weak & stupid in order for you to give up on your dream so you can be what she wants you to be." Mime Jr. said "What's worse is that I read that Delia was gonna sell me on the black market after you gave up."
"WHAT!?" Ash & the Pokémon exclaimed
"You're kidding!?" Pikachu said
"That's awful." Eevee said
"That no good conniving old hag, I swear I'm gonna pulverize her when I get back!" Ash said angrily "Giving my Pokémon to Gary is one thing, but selling them on the black market? That's where I draw the line."
"Mimey, did you at least report to the authorities & show them the evidence?" Tauros said
"I tried to, but when I got out of the house, Delia & Oak caught me & destroyed the diary, that was when I got away." Mime Jr. said
"Damn." Tauros cursed
"Did the diary say anything about who was the one who framed Ash." Aipom said
"I'm afraid not, it didn't say anything about who the culprit was." Mime Jr. said "I'm sorry, Ash, I failed in getting you the justice you deserved. Not only that, I really trusted Delia, she took me in & treated me like she was her own child, I had no idea she was that type of person."
"Me neither, Mimey, we were both fooled by the same person who was supposed to be our mother." Ash said as he pet Mime Jr's head "But what's more important is that you're here with me again safe & sound."
"Thanks Ash." Mime Jr. smiled as he hugged Ash
"Seriously, first Pikachutwo & Chloe's Eevee, then Pink Butterfree, now Mimey?" Meowth said "This is getting weird."
"Yeah, I think it's about time I called her." Ash said "Rotom, call Lady Arceus."
Calling Lady Arceus
"Ash, I was wondering when you would call." S. Arceus said
"Hey Arceus, listen, I have something to ask you?" Ash said
"Ask away." S. Arceus said
"I found a few Pokémon who are from my old world, are you the one who sent them here?" Ash asked
"Yes, I sent them along with many others to my world." S. Arceus said
"Many others? What do you mean by many others?" Ash said
"Ash, I've sent the Pokémon who you befriended during your adventures in your old world to my world, they have heard about what happened & they never believed you committed such crimes." S. Arceus said "I had to transport them to my world so that your betrayers don't get a hold of them."
"That would make sense, the last thing I need is for them to be brainwashed into turning against me." Ash said "Thank you, Lady Arceus, I hope I get the chance to see all of them."
"You will, & you're welcome, call me again anytime." S. Arceus said
"Okay, bye." Ash said as he hung up "Did you hear that guys?"
"Loud & clear, boss." Meowth said
"Alright, that's enough stalling for now, let's get training for the Bedrock Contest." Ash said
"You should've stuck to Gym Battles." A voice said
"What?" Ash said as he looked around "Hello? Anyone there?"
"What's wrong, Ash?" Pikachu said
"Didn't guys just hear that?" Ash said
"Hear what?" Meowth said confusingly
"Hmm, Rattata, Nidoran, come out." Ash said as he sent out Rattata & Nidoran
"Nido!/Rattata!" Rattata & Nidoran said
"Rattata, Nidoran, can you use your smell & hearing to see if anyone's around?" Ash said
"Roger." Rattata & Nidoran said as they started smelling & listening
"Gastly, fly up & see if anyone's here." Ash said
"Yes Ash." Gastly said as he flew up & looked around
After a moment
"I can't smell anyone from here, Ash." Nidoran said
"Me neither, I can't hear anything but silence." Rattata said
"I've looked around but I can't see anybody." Gastly said
"Odd…" Ash said
"Are you sure you heard something, Ash?" Aipom said
"Sure I'm sure, I hope I'm not going crazy, but never mind that." Ash said as he sent out the rest of his Pokémon "Let's get training."
The next day was the day of the Bedrock Contest
"Hello, & welcome to the Bedrock Contest, it's a rock hard day in Bedrock City but today we'll ease the tension with our fellow coordinators in this year's contest." The Announcer said "Now, introducing our panel of judges, our first judge is Jordan."
"Hello one & all, what a fabulous day to start off our Contest Circuit." Jordan(Pokémon) said
"Our second judge is Keira." The Announcer said
"I'm looking forward to seeing the beauty & cuteness of everyone's participation." Keira(Pokémon) said
"& our lead judge, the one & only Dexter." The Announcer said
"Good morning Everyone, it is good to see everyone up & about for this occasion." Dexter said
"Last but not least, we have two special guests as our judges, introducing the wife of the Bedrock Gym Leader & her best friend, Wilma Flintstone & Betty Rubble." The Announcer said
"It's such an honor to be here as your judges." Betty(The Flintstones) smiled
"We look forward to seeing all of the contestants perform & do their best." Wilma(The Flintstones) said
(Backstage)
"That must be Stoney's mom & aunt." Ash thought
(On stage)
"Now, without further ado, let's start off the preliminary round with one of our contestants who is all the way from Townsville City, please welcome Bubbles of the PowerPuff Girls." The announcer said as Bubbles went on stage
"Go, Popplio!" Bubbles said as she tossed a Poké Ball with a Bubble Seal
The Poké Ball opened & sent out Popplio along with a barrage of bubbles
"Popplio!" Popplio barked
(Backstage)
"Hey, she's got a Popplio." Meowth said surprisingly
"Must be the Pokémon she chose before she set off on her Journey." Ash said
(On Stage)
"Popplio, make 3 water balloons." Bubbles said.
"Lio." Popplio made 3 small water balloons & started juggling them with its nose
"Okay. Now flip." Bubble said as Popplio flip on its hands & juggled the water balloon with its tail fin
"Disarming Voice." Bubbles said as Popplio tossed the water balloons up in the air
"Poppliooooooo!" Popplio howled as it released a beam of pink soundwaves surrounded by hearts & musical notes from its mouth
The Disarming Voice hit the water balloons as the sound bursted them into water sparkles.
(Backstage)
"Wow, she's pretty good." Meowth said
"Mm-hm, she would certainly give Lana a run for her money with that Popplio." Ash mumbled
"Ash Tajiri, you're up next." A voice said
"That's my cue." Ash said as he left
"Good luck." Meowth called out
(On Stage)
"Next up is someone who is also from Townsville City, but he is also both a new Trainer & a new Coordinator, introducing Ash Tajiri." The Announcer said as Ash went on stage
"That must be Fred's next challenger, huh Wilma?" Betty said
"Yes, did tell me he was gonna do both Leagues & Contest, let's see how he does." Wilma said
"Metapod, I choose you!" Ash said as he tossed a Sugar Ball with a Butterfly Seal
The Sugar Ball opened & sent out a swarm of multicolored butterflies along with Metapod
"Metapod." Metapod said
"Metapod, use Harden & Tackle." Ash said.
"Meta!" Metapod said as she breifly turn light blue & tackled a nearby rock smashing it to pieces
"Now, String Shot." Ash said.
Metapod jumped & shot streams of white thread in five different directions which stuck to the walls leaving her hanging
"Wrap yourself up." Ash said
"Metapod!" Metapod said as she wrapped her whole body in String Shot
"5…4…3…2…1" Ash counted down
Suddenly Metapod glowed bluish white & evolved into Butterfree
"Freeee Freeeee." Butterfree said as everyone was in awe in amazement while Ash scanned her
Ability: Compound Eyes
Learned Moves: Gust, Confusion, Sleep Powder, Poison Powder, & Stun Spore
"Alright, Butterfree, let's finish this up with Stun Spore, Poison Powder, & Sleep Powder." Ash said
"Freeeeeeeeee!" Butterfree said as she made a rainbow of green, orange, & purple sparkling powder before landing on Ash's arm
As Ash went down the hallway
"You knew I was gonna evolve, did you?" Butterfree said
"Yep, which was quite obvious since Caterpie & Metapod evolve in a short amount of time." Ash said
"Good point." Butterfree said
"You're gonna fail." A voice said
"Okay, if whoever is saying crap to bring me down, either show yourself or shut up." Ash called out impatiently
"Ash, who are you talking to?" Butterfree said confusingly
"Butterfree, I know you just heard that right now." Ash said
"I didn't hear anything, are you okay?" Butterfree said in concern
"Dang it, why am I the only one who hears someone talking me down." Ash said before sighing "Okay, just relax Ash, it's all in your head, it's all in your head."
"Ash, you know if you're not feeling well, we can just forfeit." Butterfree said
"We can't quit now, Butterfree, just don't worry about it, I'll be fine." Ash said as he felt his Roto-Arc Phone vibrate & pulled it out

Reward: Butterod(Weapon by Forrester Designs) + Butterfree will be capable of Gigantamax
Ash's PokéGauntlet shined & out from the light was a purple rod with a set of Butterfree wings at the top
"Wow, that is beautiful." Ash said
In the end, Bubbles & Ash had passed the preliminaries. At the beginning in each battle round, Ash would hear the voice saying "You're gonna lose" before he sent out one of his Pokémon which was starting to piss him off, but Ash had managed to keep his cool. In the final round, Ash & Bubbles were facing each other
"Folks, this is the final round of the Bedrock Contest between Ash Tajiri & Bubbles Utonium, who will win the contest & take their first ribbon?" The announcer said
"Are you ready, Ash?" Bubbles called out
"I'm ready, Bubbles." Ash smiled in determination
"Go Babeaker!" Bubbles said as she tossed a Wing Ball with a Feather Seal
The Wing Ball opened & sent out a flurry of white feathers as a puffin-like Pokémon with a round body with an X on the center, a beaker-like head, light blue feet, & a beak with a pink stripe, light blue stripe, & light green stripe.
"Beaker!" The Pokémon chirped
"Who's that Pokémon?" Ash said as he pulled out his Roto-Arc Phone
Babeaker(Fakemon & Entry by Pokélodeon), the Clumsy Pokémon, a Flying Type. Constantly falling over, this round Pokémon is extremely accident-prone. Its chemical makeup is volatile, granting it multiple evolution options.
"Babeaker huh? That's a Pokémon I haven't seen before." Ash said as he pulled out an Insulate Ball with an Electricity Seal "Pichu, I choose you!"
The Insulate Ball opened & shot out multiple lightning bolts as Pichu was sent out
"Pichu!" Pichu said
"We need to be careful with using Thunder Shock, thanks to the training we managed to have Pichu endure the recoil, but just barely. Hopefully, we can win this." Ash though
"You're gonna lose." The voice said
"& hopefully that voice will shut up because it's really starting to get on my nerves." Ash thought with a tick mark
"Battle begin!" The referee said
ASH VS BUBBLES
"Okay Pichu, let's start things off, use Quick Attack." Ash said. Pichu became outlined in light blue aura & tackled Babeaker at quick speed
"Babeaker, use Round." Bubbles said
"BEAKER!" Babeaker chirped as it fired beam of green sound waves surrounded by musical notes from its mouth & hit Pichu
"Use Double Slap." Ash said as Pichu's hands glowed & charged at Babeaker
"Counter with Fury Attack." Bubbles said. Babeaker's beak glowed white & the two Pokémon clashed repeatedly with their attacks at rapid speed
"Iron Tail." Ash said as Pichu charged with its tail glowing white
"Use Sand Attack." Bubbles said. Babeaker tripped on the ground causing sand to fly out & blinded Pichu & caused him to miss.
"Now, Air Cutter."
"Babeaker!" Babeaker said as it spun while firing multiple light blue blades of energy which hit Pichu
"Pichu, use Thunder Shock." Ash said
"Pi CHUUUUUUUUUU!" Pichu said as he fired a shock of yellow electricity hit Babeaker
"Alright, a direct hit." Ash said
"Pi." Pichu winced in pain
"Are you okay?" Ash called out
"Pichu." Pichu nodded in determination
"Babeaker, Fury Attack again." Bubbles said as Babeaker charged with Fury Attack
"Dodge it." Ash said as Pichu repeatedly dodged the attack
"Use Sweet Kiss."
"Chu!" Pichu said as he blew a pink kiss mark at Babeaker
"Use Double Team." Bubbles said
"Beak." Babeaker said as it glowed white & created multiple copies of itself avoiding the Sweet Kiss.
"Now, Round." Bubbles said
"BAAAAAAAAAAAAAB!" Babeaker & it's copies said as they used Round & hit Pichu
"Pichu! Pichu!" Pichu cried covering it's ears
"Oh no, she's using clones from the Double Team to make Round stronger." Ash thought before saying "Use Swift."
Pichu's tail yellow & fired multiple yellow stars which hit Babeaker & its clones.
"Use Reversal!" Ash & Bubbles said
"PICHUUUUUUUU/BABEEEEEEEEAK!" Both Pokémon yelled as they become covered in orange aura & clashed with each other causing an explosion
When the smoke cleared, both Pokémon were severely damaged while panting heavily & staring hard
"Ba…ba…" Babeaker said
"Pi…Chu!" Pichu winced in pain as he fell to the ground & fainted
"Pichu!" Ash said shockingly
"Pichu is unable to battle, Babeaker wins." The referee declared "So the winner of the Bedrock Contest goes to Bubbles Utonium."
"We did it, Babeaker!" Bubbles cheered as she hugged Babeaker
"Babeaker!" Babeaker said happily
"Pichu, are you alright?" Ash said as he picked up Pichu
"Ugh…" Pichu groaned weakly
Ash was in shock in disbelief that he lost, but it wasn't just any loss like the ones he suffered in the past. It was an official first lost without anyone sabotaging or drugging his Pokémon
"You did your best, you should rest up." Ash said as he returned Pichu before sighing & left the stage
Ash was walking down the hall until
"I told you, you were gonna lose." A voice said
Ash looked up & saw someone he hope he never see
"Zoey?" Ash said shockingly "What the he–? What are you doing here? How did you get here!?"
"Doesn't matter, you should've made up your mind whether you want to do gym battles or contests, now you end up losing like the failure you are." Zoey said
"You're still against the idea of doing both Gym Battles & Contest? I thought you learned your lesson when Nando beat you." Ash said
"That was just sheer luck, or it's possibly because you gave him your drugs that helped you win." Zoey said "You know, I bet you drugged your Metapod to evolve during the preliminaries."
"Hey, for the last time, I NEVER drugged my Pokémon." Ash glared "If you were watching me the whole time, then you should already know."
"Still, I find it funny how your trying to reach your foolish dream of becoming a Pokémon Master by becoming a Coordinator as well as a Trainer." Zoey said
"I didn't sign up so I could lose & hear crap come out of your mouth. It's not like you have a right to judge whether I do both or not." Ash said as he passed Zoey
"Why? Because I'm right?" Zoey said
"Shut up." Ash stopped
"Come on, you know I'm right, you'll never succeed in becoming both a Pokémon Master." Zoey
"I said SHUT—." Ash turned only to see Bubbles & her Babeaker "Oh Bubbles, it's you! H-how long were you standing there?"
"Just for a split second." Bubbles said
"Oh, well did you see anybody else besides me here?" Ash asked looking around
"No, not really." Bubbles said
"Okay, what are you doing?" Ash said
"I noticed your reaction when you lost, so I wanted to check on you." Bubbles said "Are you okay?"
"I…actually Bubbles, I'm not." Ash sighed
"What's the matter?" Bubbles said
"It was a mistake competing in this Contest." Ash said as he pulled out his Contest Pass "Who was trying to kid? Why would I think competing in the Contest Circuit would help me in achieving my dream? I guess I'm not qualified to be a Pokémon Coordinator, I guess I should just give up & stick with gym battles."
"Ash, stop that, you don't have to be qualified to be a Pokémon Coordinator, what really matters is that you did your best. What you did with your Metapod before it evolved into Butterfree in the preliminaries was beyond amazing." Bubbles said
"You mean that?" Ash said
"I do, listen to me, there's no rule or law about people competing in both gyms & contests, if someone said otherwise, then they're just stupid. Don't let one loss get you down, all you need to do is keep trying until you & your Pokémon succeed. Don't give up on yourself & don't sell yourself short, Ash, just keep believing in your Pokémon & yourself." Bubbles said
"Hm." Ash stared
"Babeaker." Babeaker said as it plucked a black & white feather & handed it out to Ash.
"Aww, she's offering you one of her feathers to show you there's no hard feelings." Bubbles smiled
"Thanks." Ash said as he took the feather "Bubbles, are you sure you didn't see anyone with me? Because I swore I wasn't alone."
"It's probably all in your head, Ash." Bubbles said
"All in my head?" Ash repeated
"Yeah, when people think too much about stuff, they start seeing & hearing things that no one else does." Bubbles said "Just try not to think about it too much, okay?"
"Okay, thank you Bubbles." Ash said "I have to go now, but congratulations on winning."
"Thanks, hope we battle again in the next Contest." Bubbles smiles as Ash left
"It's all in my head, huh? Then that means that Zoey was just an illusion, thank God, I really thought she was really here in this world." Ash thought in relief "I shouldn't let something like that get to me again. Bubbles is right, no way I'm giving up on doing both Contests & Gyms because of that."
As Ash walked out the Contest Stadium with Pikachu, Eevee, & Meowth where they met Stoney, Wilma, & Betty outside
"Hey Ash, you did good." Stoney said
"Thanks Stoney, I'll get them next time." Ash said
"I agree with Stoney, Wilma & I were real impressed with what you did back there." Betty said
"I'm glad you two liked it Mrs. Rubble & Mrs Flintstones." Ash smiled
"We did & so did the other judges, they told me to tell you that they look forward to seeing you compete in the next contest." Wilma said "Tell you what, how about you come over to our house & have dinner with us, I'm sure you must be starving after all that."
"That sounds great, Mrs. Flintstone, I can't have my Gym Battle on an empty stomach." Ash said
"Sounds just like what my husband would say." Wilma giggled
Hey Everybody, I'm sorry you guys thought that Ash was gonna win the first contest, but I knew that some people were gonna be critical about it if Ash won the first contest he competed in like in most stories. As for Babeaker, a Fakemon that was created by Pokélodeon from Instagram, I thought it would be a good idea to use that along with some more that I'm planning to use, also there wasn't a moveset for Babeaker, so I had to use my imagination. Anyway stay tuned for the next Chapter. Morpho Out.
