I am here with chapter six starting with part one of Season 3 Thanks to Them
So before we start I'm going to answer one question I've gotten a couple of times about Dannys witch hunting ancestor John Fenton Nightingale and if Belos knew him before he went to the Boiling Isles
The answer is no since Gravesfield and Salem are in two different states and travel time was a lot longer in the 1600s especially for two orphans like Caleb and Phillip they also only became witch hunters when they came to Gravesfield
John Fenton Nightingale also won't be showing up as a ghost
But I do have some plans

Part One
Danny let out a tired breath relieved that it was over it had happened earlier that night him Sam and Tucker were wrapping up their patrol when Ben called on the plumbers badge he'd given him calling for help that the High Breed were making their final move
Him Sam and Tucker took the Spector Speeder meeting Ben and his team in the parking lot of a Mr. Smoothie
Everything after stepping through the barrier around La Soledad army base was the biggest battle Danny's been in since the Ghost Kings invasion and the stakes were just as big the fate of everyone on the planet was on the line
Danny turned his head when he felt a hand on his shoulder seeing Ben nest to him looking just as tired as he was but relieved that it was finally over
"Hey Danny thanks for coming" Ben said gratefully
"No problem it's what we heroes do" Danny said smiling back before he let out a powerful yawn
He was so tired
Yep there was nothing and no one on earth that could stop him from going home and sleeping for a week
Danny hearing his phone ring pulled it out of his pocket "hello" he said
"Hey Danny" Dannys heart skipped a beat when he heard Luz's voice on the other end "I'm back"
"Luz" Danny asked "is that really you when did make a new portal are you okay"
"Yeah it's really me" Luz answered "in order I didn't and we're mostly okay"
"We" Danny asked barely holding back a yawn
"Yeah me and my friends it's kind of a long story" Luz answered sounding tired "are you okay you sound dead on your feet pun unintended"
"Long story the short version I fought an alien invasion and saved the human race" Danny answered his eyes were getting really heavy
"Sounds like what I went through" Luz replied there was something off about her voice
"Are you okay" Danny asked "I can get to Gravesfield in under an hour"
"No it's fine I'm fine I just wanted to hear your voice I really missed you" Luz answered quickly
"I missed you too" Danny answered "so see you tomorrow"
"Yeah see you tomorrow" Luz said before she hung up Danny looked down at the screen his girlfriend was back from the demon realm he just saved the world from an alien invasion things were going their way
So why did it feel like something was really wrong
Luz hung up the phone looking at a picture they'd taken on their first date
Their only date
Back before she'd ever heard of the Boiling isles before she met Eda and King
Back before she helped Belos find the Collector who nearly wiped out everyone on the isles
"Was that Danny" mama asked Luz looked up from her phone she just nodded "how's he doing"
"Pretty good saved the planet from an alien invasion" Luz answered her moms eye brows shot up into her hair looking surprised but she shrugged it off "mama about everything I'm-"
Before Luz could finish she was wrapped in a hug by her mom "shh we can talk later I'm just happy you're home" Mama said putting a kiss on the top of her head Luz nodded looking past her into her room where Amity was helping Willow with her hair
"Yeah I'm home" Luz mumbled "but they're not"
School couldn't have ended fast enough Danny thought as he flew invisibly through the sky landing at the shack he checked around making sure there were no cameras hidden finding only a sleeping possum before he powered down
He was not going to take the chance of another fruitloop like Jacob catching him on camera
Once was embarrassing enough to last a lifetime
Danny ran to the Luzs house jumping up onto the porch he rang the doorbell opening the door was presumably Luz her hair was longer pulled into a short ponytail at the back of her head she was wearing an old letterman jacket with the letter E sewed over the heart there was a scar cutting her right eyebrow in two and there were bags under her eyes
"Luz" Danny asked
Luz nodded tears in her eyes and a smile on her face the two teenagers hugged holding each other close before they kissed Luz's hands on his cheeks and his around her back
"Oh crikey" Danny said getting a small laugh from Luz
"I can't believe I said that" Luz muttered resting her head against his forehead "that was so embarrassing"
"What you did was nothing first time I asked someone out pants fell down because I couldn't control my intangibility" Danny said getting another laugh from Luz
"Okay you win" she conceded
There was a cough from behind them Danny looked to see Camilla Vee and some other teens that were probably witches a purple haired girl a girl with glasses a blonde guy with a huge scar on his cheek and a guy with dark hair who had a magnifying glass earring
All of them had a haunted look in their eyes like they'd seen something terrible Danny recognized that look he'd seen it on his and his friends faces after the ghost kings invasion or the trip to the future where they met him
"Oh my titan you haven't met anyone yet" Luz said pulling
"Danny you already know mi mama and Vee" Luz introduced after she closed the door walking over to the girl with glasses and the guy with the magnifying glass earring "these are my best plant and illusion witches in this and any other realm Willow and Gus" she hugged them both before walking over to the lavender haired girl
"This is Amity abomination master top student and has saved my bacon more times than I care to count"
"It hasn't been that many times Luz besides you saved me first" Amity said
Luz and Amity smiled at each other before she walked over to Hunter "and last but not least is Hunter"
"The bad but sad boy" Danny asked remembering one of the stories Luz had told during the time she was in the mirror Hunter growled at Luz
"How many people have you called me that to" Hunter asked Luz shrugged before she started counting "are you seriously counting"
"What you asked" Luz replied with a cheeky grin that Hunter rolled his eyes at
"Guys this is my boyfriend Danny Fenton" Luz said siding back next to Danny
"We figured from that lip lock" Willow said "unless humans always greet their friends that way"
Danny smiles looking to Luz he didn't need a mirror to know there was a blush on his face "it's nice to meet you guys Luz told me a lot about you guys"
"Same dude" Gus said "Luz told us all about you"
"All about me" Danny asked looking to Luz who shook her head
"No not everything" Luz quickly promised
"Yeah like Luz didn't mention you were an oracle witch" Willow added
"Oracle witch" Danny asked
"Yeah you know can see the future usually has a crystal ball on them works with ghosts" Gus explained "they usually have a creepy chill around them because of all the ghosts"
"How does a human have oracle magic" Hunter asked suspicious "are you some kind of assassin working for the Emperors coven"
"Why would Belos send an assassin to the human realm" Amity asks "he wanted to wipe out all the witches on the isles he wouldn't send an assassin to replace a human teenager"
"How does a human have oracle magic"
"Hunter chill Danny's not a threat" Luz said "he's also not a witch he's a-" Luz stopped looking to Danny
Danny shook his head "it's okay Luz" Danny said before he went ghost "ta da"
"Whoa Luz your boyfriends so good at oracle magic he can turn into a ghost" Gus asked amazed
"Not exactly" Danny said as he explained about his powers and Luz explained what happened since the last time Danny talked to her and yikes Belos wasn't just a fruitloop he was a monster on the same level as the evil version of him
Wanting to wipe out an entire island of people a four hundred year old witch hunter who lived among witches all that time and still was going to wipe them all out
Danny saw a lot of awful terrible people but that kind of hatred Danny couldn't even comprehend it
It was even harder to understand the little star kid who wasted him
"So you guys are stranded here while the little kid who wasted the evil Emperor and moved your moon with a finger is doing who knows what" Danny asked
"Pretty much yeah" Luz answered "I don't suppose you have any experience in building a portal"
"No" Danny shook his head "but I know people who do"
"What's on your mind Danny boy" Jack Fenton asked Danny he looked nervous Sam Tucker and Jazz were around Danny
"Danny you can tell us anything" Maddie said reassuringly Danny still looked nervous before he closed his eyes the Fenton parents watched as rings appeared passing over Dannys body changing his clothes into a familiar jumpsuit his skin became tanner he now had snow white hair and glowing green eyes
"Mom dad I'm Danny Phantom" he said "I've always been Danny Phantom"
Jack and Maddie were shocked Maddie stood up walking closer to Danny she stopped when Sam Tucker and even Jazz closed ranks around Danny protectively Maddie and Jack looked to each other understanding in their eyes "Danny I we all this time we're so sorry"
"We never wanted to hurt you son why didn't you tell us" Jack asked
"I thought about it but after the time I created an alternate timeline where I saw you die dad I thought it was better to keep it a secret I mean no offense mom dad but you haven't been a legitimate threat to me for a while"
"Slightly offended but I'm more focused on you saw me die" Jack asked looking horrified for Danny that kind of thing would traumatize any one no wonder Danny kept his powers a secret
Jack would have in his shoes Maddie looked just as horrified
Danny nodded "yeah had issues sleeping for a few days after that" Danny admitted "look I'm not a criminal and I'm sorry about the time in city hall when I blasted you I honestly thought you were overshadowed" danny said "the robberies were when Freakshow had me under mind control"
"That is stuff we'll be talking about later possibly with a therapist who'd agree to sign a NDA" Maddie said "why exactly are you telling us this now"
"It's kind of a long story the short version is my girlfriend and her friends need your help to build a portal to the dimension where they're from" Danny explained
Things were going well with the portal after revealing his secret identity to his parents the older Fentons had gotten to work they bought the shack by her house
The city was more than happy to sell it
They'd renovated making the house livable and turning the basement into a lab with everything they needed to make a portal to the isles
Everyone was pitching in to help Mr. Fenton really liked having someone to talk to and Gus being curious about anything and everything about the human realm was happy to listen as he droned on and on about whatever topic came to mind while he worked
Luz had a bouquet of flowers in her arm as she walked through Gravesfield cemetery she'd done this so many times visiting him on his birthday the holidays or just when she had a bad day and there was no one else to talk to to she knew the way by heart to her dads final resting place
Luz stopped at the grave half covered by the shade of an apple tree running her hands over the words on the stone
Here lies Manny Noceda friend husband and father
"Hi dad I'm sorry I didn't come with mama on the anniversary" Luz said "I was stranded in another dimension"
Luz let out a laugh "it's called the Demon realm just about everything from human mythology is a bit of their world leaking into ours and get this it's where giraffes are from"
"The isles are wonderful gross and a bit stinky especially the dead trash slugs on the beach but it's like a second home to me I made friends there I went to school I learned magic you heard right dad your daughters a witch of course that's probably not a big shock dad mom probably told you when she introduced Vee to you"
Luz was now starting to cry she fell to her knees
"I messed up I made the worst mistake of my life I helped Belos find the collector and because of everyone on the isles are in danger my friends are all going to hate me when they find out Danny will wish he never met me I should have never gone to the isles and I'm going to keep my promise to mom I'm never going back to the isles"
"What" Luz heard Willow ask
Luz turned to see Danny and the others standing behind her her mom included
"Luz what do you mean you shouldn't have ever gone to the isles" Amity asked
"When I visited my mom she made me promise not to go back the isles" Luz answered "she's right I screwed up I screwed up so badly it's because of me Phillip was able to find the Collector it's because of me everyone on the isles is in danger"
"Luz that's not true" Willow replied
"Yes it is"
"So you told Phillip to keep himself alive for centuries by eating palismen"
"Of course not" Luz said disgusted and horrified just thinking of that
"Oh did you give him the idea to be the emperor and helped him come up with the coven system" Gus asked
"No I didn't"
"Did you give him the idea to use the draining spell" Amity asked
"No that was Belos all of that was Belos" Luz answered what was the point of all these questions why didn't they hate her
"So why are you blaming yourself for what Belos did" Hunter asked "he tricked you Belos I know that better than anyone else if it wasn't you he would have tricked someone else into helping him find the Collector"
Luz wanted to argue but Hunter was right
Lilith herself had said the puzzle holding in the stone sleeper was halfway solved that he'd used his travel companions as sacrifices before and he used them afterwards
He was the one so caught up in his hate that even when he lived among the people of the isles for centuries he saw them as monsters as animals that needed to be put down
"But maybe he wouldn't have gotten the Collector and the draining spell if I wasn't there if I never went to the Isles I screwed everything up" Luz argued
"Really if it wasn't for you I'd never would have gotten into the Plant track" Willow said pointing to herself "Amity and I would have never become friends"
"I'd still be Odalias pawn letting her control my life" Amity said rubbing her wrist where a coven seal would have gone "I'd probably be in the Emperors coven and be drained" everyone shuddered at that
"If you never came to the isles I would have never come to the human realm I never would have met mom" Vee said hugging mom
"Belos would have killed me if it wasn't for you Luz" Hunter said
"You're our friend Luz" Gus "and our lives are better because you're in it"
"Mine is for sure" Danny agreed
Mom walked over kneeling next to Luz "mija look at me" mom said "please"
Luz did
"I'm sorry I shouldn't have made you make that promise" mom said "it was probably one of the worst mistakes and believe me I made more than a few"
"Oh yeah like what" Luz asked
"Let's see I scheduled getting my wisdom teeth taken out the day before my wedding one time I got road rage and didn't realize I was cursing out your new principal I sold energy drinks for a pyramid scheme for three years I was so sure moving to Gravesfield and that fancy new hospital was the best you know how that turned out the worst mistake was I didn't stand up for you when you needed me most I forgot about astral oath"
"The what" Luz asked
"The astral oath shared between Captain Avery and his family to love and protect each other just as they are through supernovas and solar winds"
"Oh man spoilers" Hunter grumbled before Gus and Willow elbowed him
"Mom are you a secret nerd" Luz asked
"I had a hard time growing up I was afraid you would too my biggest mistake was trying to change this incredible good witch into something she wasn't once this mess with the Collector has been stopped you can still go to the demon realm that is if you want to"
"Really" Luz asked mom nodded
Luz nodded she wanted to she wanted to go back to demon realm to save Eda and King stop the Collector
"I can't believe it took me so long to realize but what I wanted the most was to be understood" Luz said in realization there was a cracking sound coming from her bag a purple glow coming from her zipper
Her palisman it was hatching
