The Many Dates Of Danny Fenton Danny And Luz

Part 4
"Luz" Belos not Hunter Belos said from behind her tapping her staff against the ground thinking of an glyph a massive iceberg shot out lifting Belos high into the air holding him in place
"I was really hoping you didn't survive" Luz said standing up Flapjack perching on her shoulder
"And yet I did" Belos said breaking free of the ice dropping down landing in a kneel "you tricked me again Luz"
Luz smiled
"Hand over the Titans blood" Belos demanded his eyes glowing blue "it's not too late for you to stand on the right side of history help me destroy the witches"
"Not going to happen" Luz said
"Can't reason with crazy" Belos said toxic green sludge grew out of the pores of Hunters hands turning into claws
"Funny I was going say the same thing about you" Luz said holding her staff out horizontally
Luz took in a deep breath as she turned invisible before zipping forward circling behind Belos before she slammed her staff against the ground tree roots rose up to ensnare Belos
The sludge on Belos' palms formed a series of glyphs that glowed an ominous red before a wave of energy shot out cutting through the roots nearly hitting Luz
Quickly casting a fire glyph to use as a shield Luz defended obscuring her view of Belos
Letting out a surprised shock when his arm shot out fingers tipped in bony claws Luz flew out of the way Belos moved at hyper sonic speeds trying to claw at her neck Luz used the super speed spell again zipping away from Belos' grip Luz let out a tired exhale
Seriously how did Hunter constantly zip around in fights using that spell all the time
'Practice'
Luz looked down at Stringbean 'that was a rhetorical question' she thought through their mental link
'I don't know what that means' her palisman replied back
"I must say you've improved somewhat since the last time we met" Belos 'complimented' with his nasty smirk "although it's because I'm not at full strength"
"Yeah ticking off your crazy powerful mentor isn't great for your health Belos"
Belos scowled hatefully his eyes glowing blue an expression that was wrong seeing Hunter make "that brat is not my mentor"
"I gave you the draining spell I taught you magic stronger than anyones" Luz quoted repeating word for word what the Collector had said "I wasn't around in the 1600s Belos but in this century mentor is a name for someone who teaches us stuff"
"My name is Phillip" Belos said hatefully before unleashing a blast of fire Luz acted fast using an ice glyph making a funnel that sent the fireball high into the sky mist from her melting ice covered the graveyard Luz took the opportunity to hide Luz could see Belos silhouette in the mist looking for her
"Where are you Luz show yourself" Belos demanded loudly
"Not going to happen Belos"
"Stop calling me that" Belos shouted destroying the tombstone she'd been hiding behind "that's not my name you know my name"
"You're right I do" Luz replied moving through the mist "though I'm curious are you Belos the fifth the sixth maybe the seventh"
"What are you babbling on about" Belos demanded
"I mean you were on the isles for four hundred years people don't live that long you must have faked your death a few times passes yourself off as your kid " Luz answered as she kept moving through the mist keeping out of Belos' sight "what a waste of time"
"Everything I did was to protect humanity from evil" Belos said
"Clearly I didn't work fast enough Evelyn and her kind corrupted my realm beyond recognition with her monstrous kind men of steel and iron knights of darkness the colonies rebelling against England I thought my work was done wiping out the monsters on the Boiling Isles but no my work is far from over it's my destiny to save humanity"
Luz bit the inside of her cheek to keep the laughs away he was sounding like she did when she fell for Adegasts scheme thinking she was a chosen one the only difference being she knew people made their own destinies
"It's hilarious how wrong you are" Luz said "the people of the isles aren't here in the human realm people from the demon realm aren't monsters they're ordinary people but that's what you and your witch hunters do hurt ordinary people"
"Witches"
"No people ordinary people do you know how your time is taught in schools people persecuting innocent people for their land for being different because they want to no witchcraft at all you're probably the only witch hunter whose ever met a witch probably the only one who had a witch for a sister in law too" Luz said
"Did Caleb try to reason with you try to show you that what you were taught was wrong did he put a fight when you killed him or did he let you so Evelyn could get away"
"Shut up" Belos hissed "it was his fault he was weak I did it to save his soul"
"Is that why you kept making grimwalkers did you miss him or did you just want to show him that you were right and he was wrong"
"Shut up"
"Poor little Phillip sticking his head in the sand stubbornly refusing to admit he was wrong in spite of all the evidence all the people who helped you build a portal home all the people who you callously sacrificed to save your own skin all those centuries and you're still that little boy playing with a wooden mask his brother made him"
"Shut up"
"It'd be sad if you didn't become such an unforgivable monster" Luz said "and for nothing you won't become 'witch hunter general' no one will believe what you did and anyone who would believe you would throw you in prison for wiping out an entire population of people" Luz said before she began to laugh
"It's almost funny you wasted your life fighting monsters that didn't exist by becoming an actual monster" Luz said "oh what the hey I'll laugh anyway"
Luz began to laugh her laugh echoed across the graveyard
"I said SHUT UP" Belos roared stomping his foot a wave of magic dispelled the mist knocking Luz back towards the shore Belos was on top of her grabbing herby the neck her skin her clothes began to turn to stone under his grip
"Are you still laughing witch" Belos asked mockingly "there's nothing you can say nothing you can do that will stop me"
Luz saw movement behind Belos and smiled "what took you so long" she said
Before Belos could ask what she was talking about Dannys hands phased out of his chest turning Belos intangible with a yell Danny threw his hands out to the sides separating Hunter from Belos
"Sorry to keep you waiting" Danny said helping Luz to her feet her body no longer rock "good thinking sending up that giant fireball it lead us right to you"
"That was the plan"
Hunter groaned barely awake Willow and mami were helping him on his feet Flapjack flying around him
Belos looked worse than she'd ever seen him and the last time she saw him he was a smear on the wall he was breathing heavily parts of him were falling off a tired look on his face
Luz would feel sorry for him if it was anyone but Belos
The rest of her friends had made it over the bridge by now Belos locking eyes on Sam and Danny for some reason
"Just like my fellow hunters from Salem described the dark witch who tried to steal the lives of the good people of Salem and her ghostly thrall the only one missing is the brightly dressed witch boy with the inhuman appetite"
"Yeah that's not even remotely what happened" Danny said "my names Danny Fenton not a thrall whatever that is she's not a witch and if you think my friend Tuckers appetite isn't human you should see my dad at an all you can eat buffet"
Danny punched his palm his eyes glowing "give up while you're not a puddle Belos"
"Fenton I know that name it belongs to the greatest witch hunter in the New World John Fenton Nightingale" Belos said
"Unfortunately we're related" Danny said
"To think the witches corruption has spread even to the descendants of the great witch hunters no Danny Fenton I won't be surrendering" Belos said before looking at Hunter "thank you Hunter you were finally useful for something"
Belos squeezed his palm and turned Hunters sigil glowed red hot golden veins spread across his body his eyes glowed before he fell over
"Hunter" everyone shouted concerned
Everyone but Belos who snatched the titans blood slamming it against a stone arch a portal opened "this is all for the good of your souls" he said before he stepped through the portal leaving
"Hunter mijo speak to me" mami said as Hunter was deathly still "Vee call an ambulance"
"I can't get a signal" Vee said
Willow was by Hunters side her fingers on his wrist "I can't feel a pulse"
No no Luz thought horrified not Hunter
Flapjack landed on Hunters chest nuzzling his face before he began to glow gold his body began to break down going into Hunters body Hunter started breathing his brown eyes wide and shocked
Wait brown
Just like Flapjacks
"Hey everyone" Hunter said weakly "is everyone okay"
Everyone looked away what could they say what could she say to Hunter to tell him that his first friend had sacrificed himself to save him
"Actually Flapjack he-" Gus began before Hunter cut him off tears in his eyes as he bundled up his t shirt in his hands saying he already knew
"Guys the portal is closing" Amity pointed out Luz looked to the fading portal they needed to go and they needed to go now
"We gotta go and we gotta go now" Luz said to her friends who nodded "Danny I-" Luz was cut off by Danny kissing her
"I'm going with you Luz and there's nothing you can say to stop me" Danny told her determined
"Count me in too" Sam said "I didn't get to punch a witch hunter last time this might be my only opportunity"
"I'm going too Mija there's no way I'm letting you and your friends fight that monster alone" her mami said gripping her bat
Luz looked to Vee who shook her head saying she wasn't ready Luz understood
Oh right she almost forgot
"Tell the Fentons that there are rebus' at the History museum that lead to Titans blood" Luz told her basilisk sister Vee was the only one who could get the, without breaking and entering
Or at least she wouldn't get caught
One by one her friends went through the portal Luz looks to her boyfriend and to her mom "are you ready" Luz asks "who knows what'll be on the other side of the portal"

"One small step for man one giant leap for mankind" Danny quoted before squeezing Luzs hand "yeah I'm ready" he said smiling
Luz smiled back as she her boyfriend and her mom stepped together through the portal
And finally done with Thanks to them ending with Luz mocking Belos like Terry mocked the Joker
Yeah even in his weakened state Belos is more powerful and experienced than Luz so she hit him in his pride and ego his biggest weakness like with a lot of great villains
