Chapter Nine: Broken Friendship
The next day, Bongo went to visit The Lion Guard with his mom. But Fuli, still upset, didn't want to see him or talk to him. When Bongo saw Fuli, he tried to run to her, but Fuli yelled at him.
Fuli: "Bongo, what are you doing here?! I told you to leave me alone!" She shouted, her voice sharp.
Bongo, not understanding why she was mad, tried to play with her tail. But Fuli shook him off.
Fuli: "No, Bongo, you don't get to play with my tail anymore!" She said sternly.
Bongo, still confused, tried to give her a hug. This time, Fuli growled at him, louder than before.
Fuli: *snarls angrily* she snarled, baring her teeth
Terrified, Bongo finally realized how angry she was. He started to cry and ran into his mom's arms.
Bongo's Mom: "Fuli, why are you growling at Bongo?!" Bongo's mom demanded, shocked by Fuli's behavior.
Kion: "I'm sorry, Bongo's Mom, but Bongo has been causing trouble in the Pride Lands."He explained, stepping forward.
Bongo's Moo: No, that can't be true. Bongo is not a troublemaker at all," Bongo's mom protested.
Bunga: "I hate to say this, but Bongo is now a troublemaker baby baboon." He said sadly.
Ono: "We caught Bongo disturbing the aardvarks' den by throwing rocks." He added.
Beshte: "And he almost caused a herd of elephants to stampede off a waterfall." He said.
Bongo's Mom: "There must be a misunderstanding. Bongo didn't do anything wrong. I'm sure of it," Bongo's mom insisted, defending her son.
Kion: "I'm sorry, Bongo's Mom, but we need Bongo not to come back here." He said firmly.
Bongo's Mom: *sighs deeply* "I understand. Let's go, Bongo." She sadly sighed, realizing there's no convincing them.
With tears in his eyes, Bongo looked back at Fuli, who gave him an angry expression. Heartbroken, he realized he had lost his friendship with her.
